Does anyone know if yogos are included in the sale on Kellog’s fruit snacks? There were no yogos at my Publix today and I really hoped to stock up before school starts. Thanks!

    • Samantha

I am none to happy with my Kroger. They advertised buy 4 Kelloggs prodcuts get $4 off – unlimited.

I had a ton of Kellogg’s coupons and bought 20 qualifying Kellogg’s products.

Got home and discovered my receipt only gave the $4 deal twice. It should have done this 5 times for $20. My bad for not checking before I left the store.

I’ll have to go back and get this corrected some how. I am unable to access the Kroger website to ask about their policy concerning price scan errors. Does anyone know where I could get a copy?

    • Laurie

Publix told me they discontinued the Yogos

    • Jenny

I think that there was a 55 cent coupon for Ragu in the raise your hand for savings booklet at Publix.

    • Rebekah

Hey Jenny, just a simple question. Does your kroger start their new deals on Sunday? Or, are you just giving us a sneak preview of the deals that start on Wed.? Mine starts on Wednesday (or so I thought). Thanks! I can’t tell you how much I love this site and how helpful you are!!

    • Kim

Samantha – our Kroger offer is a little different since I am from Ohio, but it did say Limit 2 rewards per transaction on the Kellogg deal.

Jenny – do you know if the B1G1 only have to buy one deal is good at ALL Krogers or just those in the south. Thanks.

    • Beth

      Rebekah,
I live in Columbia, SC (like Jenny) and our Kroger stores start their new deals on Sunday.

    • Rebekka

At my Kroger (in Raleigh, NC) the Breyer’s ice creams (48 oz) were selling for $1.99.

    • Bonnie in ATL

      For Rebekah #4:
The Kroger sales start on Sunday and end the following Saturday in Atlanta. Your Kroger insert should state the effective sale dates (usually on the bottom of the front or back page – fairly small print).

    • Rebekah

Thanks everybody. I’m in TN, and it starts on Weds.

    • Samantha,

My Kroger add said limit 2 on the Kellogg’s deal.

    • I found a blinkie yesterday at Publix for B1G1 Pedigree Dentastix. It could help sweeten the deal at Kroger this week. HTH. :)

    • Kimberly

Yogos were included in the sale here in Atlanta

    • Mina

The $4 off 4 for the Kellogg’s cereal 8.56-20oz. also states “select varieties”. When they use those words without specifying it always adds a challenge to planning a shopping trip.

      • Jenny

        Mina,

After checking the store tonight pretty much all Kellogg Cereals are participating however only the kids cereals in the smallest boxes are $2.50 the others range in price up to the highest $4.19.

        Hope that helps some.

    • Stephanie

      Jenny,

I like the new layout of the post. I know it probably takes a little extra time to have the subheadings but it helps a lot. :)

      Thanks for all you do.

    • Kathi

      Jenny,

Has anyone tried the Kraft rebate? You buy $25 worth of Nabisco/Kraft products *must be done in one transaction* and get a $5 coupon for next visit and a rebate form to get a check for $20.

I bought the required products at Publix yesterday, coupon did not print *they are not set up to print* and was very disappointed.

Any ideas how I can still get a rebate form and mail in my receipt for my purchases?

I’ll be in your Murfreesboro class on Saturday, can’t wait to meet you.

      Kathi

      • Jenny

        Kathi,

The Kraft rebate deal is NOT running at ANY Southern Savers stores. Sorry.

    • Cathy in Irmo

      Samantha,

You can find out Kroger policy in three ways – the web site (www.kroger.com), contact your local store’s front end supervisor (head CSC), or call 1-800-KROGERS. The CSC will know about any store specific policies and can probably provide you with a copy of company coupon policy. Hope this helps.

    • Catherine

      Kimberly,
Thanks for the information about the yogos!

      Jenny,
I like the new format too! Thanks for all you do. :)

    • Colleen

I’m in TN too Nashville area and our Kroger sales ads start on Sunday like most everyone else’s.

    • I am in Virginia and our Kroger ads on Sunday as well. Only Food Lion on Wednesdays.

    • Mina

Thank you for answering that pricing question, Jenny. I got excited when I saw promotion on Sat. night. But this sounds like one of those cases where a colorful and catchy ad does not equal a good deal, at least for the cereal.

    • ACW

Our best deal on the Kellogg’s cereal was to buy 4 boxes of Frosted Flakes (on sale at 4/$8 and using two ‘$1 off 2’ coupons) and 4 boxes of Raisin Bran (on sale at 4/$10 and using two ‘$1 off 2’ coupons). With the $4 off 4 promo, I ended up getting $26.28 worth (eight boxes) of cereal for $6. :)
Also, a standard deal at our Kroger is the Yoplait yogurt… they’re usually 50-60 cents apiece, but there’s always a coupon for 40 or 50 cents off a half dozen in the paper, plus an electronic coupon… which makes them about 38 cents each… a nice treat over store brand.

    • Erin

Anyone else having problems with the Unilever and Smithfield ecoupon sites? Both allow me to enter my Kroger card number, but then it says that there are no stores participating in my area!?!?

    • I’m also having trouble with the Unilever site; got the same response that our stores in Cumming were not participating. Also, disappointed to hear about the Kraft rebate problem at Publix. I was planning to go today for the same rebate.

    • Debbie

In response to Erin’s question about the Unilever and Smithfield – I got the same message “no stores participating” but clicked on the LOAD button (whatever it says) in the bottom right hand corner of the screen and it did let me go on and load coupons… I haven’t been to the store to see if they work or not but at least I could load them.

      HTH – Debbie

    • Tricia

      Hi,

I got a preview mailer today advertising the mega savings event. The dates are 8/16-8/29. Included were 4 coupons that expire 9/14–$1/2 Tostitos chips, $1.50/1 Starbucks Frappuccino 4 pack, $1/2 General Mills cereals, and $1/2 Betty Crocker Muffin Mixes. I am in the Murfreesboro, TN (Nashville) area. HTH!

    • I want to get excited about this but am having a hard time. The Spring Hill Tenn Kroger really limits how many items participate in these sales, their prices are high compared to other areas, and they print only a few sales items in their ads. I can spend forever in the store and walk away disappointed. Plus I was in there Saturday night before 6pm, and they were already taking down signs for the sale that was supposed to run until midnight. So they don’t put everything in the ad and take the signs down early. Too big a hassle.

My store also has stopped stacking competitor’s coupon with manufacturer’s – but of course did not put up a sign at the door when the policy changed. I get in line with a handful of each and then find out. The cashier was pissy, other customers were pissy, and I’m thinking – this is not my fault, I’m following your rules. They were kind enough to put it through one last time but that left a bad taste in my mouth. I have seriously cut back on my shopping there b/c I don’t have time and don’t want the hassle.

On the plus side, my ecoupons have all been going through lately. Anybody else think this is improving?

    • Samantha

Kroger newspaper ad for Martinsville, VA did not mention any limit on $4 when you buy 4 Kelloggs. There were no signs in the store saying there was a limit and a cashier told me there was no limit.

I found out the hard way…there is a limit of 2 per transaction.

You can always break your transactions up to get the $4 for 4 Kelloggs, but remember the Kellogg’s rebate requires all 10 products be on the same receipt.

    • Lindsay

I went to the Unilever Sight and it said that the only stores participating at City Market, Dillons, Frys, JayC Food Stores, King Sooper, QFC, Ralphs & Smiths. Kroger’s no where on there..even though its in the header..plus it wont let me load the qs..ugh..

    • Julie

Minimdgmom…I am in Chapel Hill, TN. I usually shop Kroger either in Frankin (HWY 96/Murfreesboro Rd or in Lewisburg). I know it is a little further for you…it is further for me. But I have no complaints on those stores. I particularly like the one on Murfreesboro RD in Franklin. If you have a big list, you might want to opt for this store on occassion.

    • Libby

      Julie,
I’m in Marshall County too. Does the store in Franklin take competitor coupons? I had never heard of a Kroger doing that.

    • Tabitha

Does anyone know if the sale on “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” includes the sticks? I have some $1 q’s for the sticks, but they aren’t pictured in the ad so I was just wondering.

    • Alysia

I just returned from the Murfreesboro/Cason Lane store and it had a few different deals than what Southern Savers posted. Milk is $1.97; Tyson Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast is not $1.99 but $2.99; the buy 4 get $4 off deal has a much more limited set of items that apply.

    • Stephanie

I had a quick question about the $4 off $10 purchase for Kelloggs. Our store said we get 2 2 gallons of mile for purchasing 4 Kelloggs products. Am I completely confused or is someone else’s Kroger saying the same thing? I live in Cincinnati, OH but it isn’t usually this different than the southern stores.

    • Stephanie

      That should read milk..:)

    • amy jeffreys

In response to#17,and#26….if you read the participating ad about the Kraft rebate you will see that kroger was not on the list. The following are though, Albertson’s,Biggs, Farm Fresh,Hornbachers, Shaw’s, Shop n Save, Jewel-Osco….

    • sarah

      Jenny

love your new arrangement of items by category – or maybe you have been doing it this way for a while and I have been totally oblivious. In any case, thanks a bunch for organizing the posts this way. Keep up the good work. PS, went a little crazy yesterday with newspapers since I was on the road and bought papers at different stops along I40 in TN.. car is full of papers for recycling and can’t wait to go through them to see what is different from city to city. Can’t wait til my husband see how much recycling we have this week – hope there are LOTS of upcoming sales to use all these coupons on

    • I also got the preview for the Mega Savings Event, mine coupons were different. Probably customer specific. It looks good though, save $5 off 10 participating items.

    • Julie

      Hi,
Thank you so much for all of your valuable information. I’m brand new to the site and to couponing. I’m so very excited about it and the potential savings. We can sure use every penny we can save!

I was wondering if you can help clarify something for me. I tried to look at the site last week and took my list to Kroger. I was a little confused by the process:

Are all of the items listed each week on Southern Savers supposed to be regular sale items, or fantastic sale items…which would make that item + coupon a rock bottom price? Should I just assume it’s the best deal if it’s listed on Southern Savers, or only if it says something at the end? I don’t know that I’m posing my question clearly, but I hope I did!

Thank you so much for all your input and insights!
      Julie

      • Jenny

        Julie,

My goal is to only list items that are the best prices. I only want you to buy something when it is at it’s lowest price, so I try to filter out anything that is not a good price or things that will go lower later.

    • Erica

The Pillsbury products weren’t on sale for $1.25 at my store in Atlanta, they were $2.09 so it was still cheaper to buy the store brand even with coupons. Thanks for your hard work Jenny!

    • Beth

Hi. This is probably a silly question but I am new to this so….
I am wanting to load ecoupons. Is the Kroger Shopping Card you mention the same as my Kroger Plus Card or do I need something different? This is a great site, Thanks!!

      • Jenny

        Beth,

That is the Kroger card we are talking about, so you are all set!

    • Johnna

      Samantha,
Generally Kroger’s policy is that if it scans wrong you get the item for FREE!!!! We bought a ham one day for the sale price that was on the package. (The sale had ended the day before and they “missed” removing the sale price on this package.) My husband noticed that it scanned wrong, told them and they took it off our bill. A $13 boneless ham, then they sliced it for us too, which they never charge for.

      MiniMidgMom,
I too live in Spring Hill, TN. Which Kroger are you talking about Marketplace or Port Royal?

    • Samantha

      Johnna,

I asked the store manager about their “scan right guarantee” since I didn’t get my $4 credit for buying 4 Kelloggs. She said it does not apply in this case because the register computer was right.

The computer was right, but the store was WRONG…

They failed to mention a limit of two $4/4 Kelloggs in their ad, no signs in store, even cashier said no limit.

    • sarah

Samantha – to prevent that from happening, ask a manager before checking out what the policy is at that store. If it happens, you can have those items removed from your order before handing over your coupons. Have the cashier total out and see if the rebate shows up – and you won’t lose the coupons you gave the cashier

    • jacy

just curious if someone could help me….does kroger take publix coupons? it seems i’ve tried it in the past, & they (the cashier wouldn’t accept it) but i see it listed about in the deals section….so, i wasn’t sure if they did or not.

      • Jenny

        Jacy,

They do not tend to take any competitor coupons however the coupons posted above are found at Publix but are really manufacturer coupons so they will take these.

    • Sharon

Someone on the trading board mentioned a Kroger double 1.00 coupon sale this Saturday. Does anyone know anything about that? Is it in a different region? I sure don’t want to miss it if it’s true!

    • Sharon

I just looked at Hot Coupon World, and they are talking about it for the TX/LA region. Rats!

    • Stephanie

The Breyers ecoupon worked for me today at Kroger – even though it seemed weird on the website when I loaded it. I got the same no stores participating message. Anyway, I didn’t try any of the Smithfield ones, but the Breyers worked.

    • Lyndie

I’m in Dallas and got my ad that starts tomorrow (Wed the 12). Here they are doing double man. coupons up to and including $1 on Saturday the 15th, only. It says limit one like coupon per transaction. It doesn’t include coupons that print out in the store. They will triple coupons up to 39 cents like normal. Of course it’s happening the one weekend I’ll be out of town! It would make for some great deals on the buy 4, get $4 off deal.

    • Stacie

Hello!!!! I just wanted to let everyone know that Walmart also has the Reach Dental Floss for $1 everday, so if you cannot get as many as you have coupons at Kroger, like myself, then try Walmart with the $3/3 coupons! I ended up coming home with 28 FREE flosses today! 18 from Walmart, I used 6 of the $3/3, and then went to Kroger and got 10 (all they had left) and used 10 .50 off coupons! The women’s shelter is going to have a house full of clean mouths around Christmas time, especially considering I have tons more coupons and I know they can be used at Walmart! Also, Kroger has Huggies wipes tubs on sale for $2.60, not a bad price, but with the .50 coupon (cannot be doubled), makes it even better, $2.10! I’ve been buying a tub each time I go in! I know it’s not as good as free, but I have run out of my free wipes and we go through a butt ton on a daily basis with two toddlers, so I’ll take the best deal I can get on them!

    • Teresa

Tried the unilever and smithfield e coupons and they all came off at the register. I also got the same no participating store error when loading, but it let me load to my Kroger card. I think what it means is there is no other participating stores in my area, besides Kroger. anyway they worked!

    • Hello, I started couponing two weeks ago and really feel like through this site I have become very educated and have already been able to save a ton of money. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us and providing a great format that makes this so easy.

My Kroger (North Texas) is advertising a double coupon day, Saturday, August 15th. They’ll double coupons from .40¢ to $1.

    • TO STACIE POST 54, You can get wipes at walgreens (the tub) for .29 to .99 . They currently have a back to school coupon at their store that takes off $2 and if you have a MF Q then you can also use it. You only need one coupon to buy as many tubs as you want. I didn’t have any other MF Q , but I still got 9 tubs at .99 cents each. the walgreens by my house they were priced at 2.99 reg price, but I heard others are lower in price. These are the huggies brand.

    • Our krogers has the floss at 2.50 each and that’s on sale. :( oh well , will go to walmart!

BUT they are having a one day sale to to double up coupons up to a $1! only on saturday which will make our cereal free to 50cents! and waffles too!
It does says one coupon per item, so I will have to make separate transactions.
      But is worth it.

My Red Plum coupon insert from 8/2 does not have the Eggo $1/2 coupon. I’m in Nashville — is anyone else missing it?

    • Michelle

Went to Kroger today and had boxes of frosted mini wheats and Crispix $2.50 with $1 off peelies. Also were part of the Kelloggs deal making them $0.50 after coupons and promotions. Also had problems with a weird message for the unilever and smithfield e-coupons, but came off at the register just fine.

    • just came back from kroger and they do have $1 reach floss, :)
i used the $5/ wyb 3 so ended up with an overage of $2 on 3 that i used, bought some steaks that were marked down ! it feels awesome to get good stuff, going back saturday for my 50 cent deals!

To post 54 and 60, if you stack the Back to School Qs with the 75 cents off 1 Huggies wipes Q, be sure you have some fillers for Walgreens. You have to have the same amount of items as Qs at Walgreens or they won’t do it. I suggest a cheap back to school filler item, seems they have several 20 cent or 25 cent items, especially this time of year.

    • Stacie

Thanks to Rebecca (#65) and Dallas, TX (#60) for the heads up on the wipes! I’ll have to go in today and grab a deal! I have .50 cent coupons! Where do you get the walgreens coupon? And you only have to have one store coupon to get as many of them as you want or if I’m buying 10, do I have to have 10 coupons? That’s amazing either way!! I’m so excited now, but bummed at the same time! I’ve just been waisting my money!!!!!!! Blah! So, if I buy 10 tubs of wipes, and use 10 huggies wipes coupons and 10 of the back to school coupons, I would have to have 10 filler items, but if you only have to have one of the back to school items like it says in post 60, buy 10 use 10 huggies coupons and use the one back to school coupons, would that still be considered 20 coupons or only 11?

I’m really sorry if this confused anyone, I’m a little confused myself, but cannot wait to get it straight and go stock up on some wipes, I love the huggies wipes, they are the best!

The Kroger stores in the Columbia, SC area are not participating in the Unilever e-coupons or the Smithfield e-coupons. :0(

When I signed up on both websites, it told my my store was not participating.

    • Lisha

Just an FYI but i was in Kroger in Brentwood Tn today and they are doing triple coupons again. =) They said that they are doing it through Tuesday. =) I’m so giddy! =) Gotta love the HT/K coupon competition!

just got back from Kroger…The Keebler cookies had $0.55 coupons on them, then if you buy 4 you get $4 off and you can use the back to school coupon for $2 off a gallon of milk when you buy 2…I got 8 Packs of cookies and 4 gallons of milk for 8 bucks !! I am addicted

    • DeAnn

Just returned from my Kroger (ATL) and had no problem with 16 Kellogg/Keebler items in one transaction, it subtracted the $4 four times.

    • Amy

Just started couponing the past few weeks. Can you use an ecoupon with a manufacturer coupon, and a store coupon all on one item? Just wondering.

    • Amanda

I do almost all of my shopping at Krogers now, because between Southern Savers helping me save and finding the coupons that Jenny tells us about which most of the ones that I use can be doubled I can save a whole lot of money. Which I love because I can pay bills with which helps a whole lot in the end!!!! Thanks Jenny!!!

    • I also got the 3 Reach Floss using the Buy 3, Get $5 off coup. Worked like a charm. On the Pillsbury Crescent rolls it was only the half-size cans that were $1.25; still not bad since I only buy the big cans if I’m using them for a potpie or other bigger meal.

Oh, and for anyone who had trouble with P&G, EMAIL them with your info (date of purchase, store, item, card number). I emailed them about not getting my $2 off Aussie haircare last week or the $1 off Herbal Essence the week before during the PG promo deals. They put a $3 OYNO credit on my acct and it came off today. Yay!

    • Oh! Almost forgot! The Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers were on sale 2/$6. If you managed to the get that $2.50 IP off any HC frozen or Fresh Mixer item, that’s a $.50 lunch!

    • david

my kroger in fort worth tex is going to dubble coupons up to a dollar august the 15 anyone in the dfw area might check into it

    • Rachel

Some Nashville area Krogers (near Harris Teeters) are competing with triple coupons! Yippee – almost makes up for the fact that we don’t get as many cool coupons in our Sunday inserts (Tennessean) as the Atlanta folks! :)

    • Stacie #65- If you’re just using the Walgreens $2 coupon (which you should just need one) and 10 .50¢ coupons, unless your total is a negative amount, as in they owe you money, you shouldn’t need a filler item. The Walgreens coupon doesn’t count towards your total of coupons per items. It depends on the price of the wipes at your store. I haven’t done this deal yet, but everyone says the Back to School Coupons should be by the register or with the weekly ads. I plan on going to do it tomorrow, so if I find out something different than that, I’ll leave a comment, or if you’ve already tried it…let me know.

    • Colleen

I did WAY better with triples at Kroger over HT today (Nashville) The prices were lower to start with, everything was in stock, no empty shelves for the good items. There are a few things they don’t carry (like the mahatma rice- but HT was out of that anyway) and they don’t give any overage which is too bad. The coupon triples to the point where it’s free, then takes no more. Others on here have mentioned that, but I had never noticed and/or had it happen before. The only time I’ve made $$ at Kroger was with an ecoupon- that came off along with the paper coupon for a profit of .75.

The Hog Mountain (GA) Kroger recently posted a sign (hand-written)that it will accept up to 5 competitor coupons. I tried today and no questions asked!

    • ash

      Oops…pushed ‘enter’ too quickly…

In addition, there was a display of Kraft things (on a school bus) that was out of coupons. It stated that coupons books could be obtained by going to this website: http://www.kraftbacktoschool.com

I don’t know how significant these coupons are (since I didn’t get to see them), but thought I would pass it along…

    • Nicole

I just got my Kroger ad today, our sales in TX run Wed-Tues. They are having an AWESOME deal Saturday. Doubleing all coupons up to $1.00. Too bad I will be out of town! ;-(

    • Kacy

I need deals on Organic, gluten free, casein free items. My son has tons of food allergies. Any suggestions? Kroger is the only store in my area with any kind of organic section and it is still 45 minutes form home :) Thanks!

    • Jen

This is really late, but if you sign up on http://www.smithfield.com/ at the end, it will take you to a page that will let you print a $3.00 coupon for 1 Smithfield bacon! But even without the BOGO deal, this is a good coupon! I found this on HCW.
