Store Logo

These deals start Sunday 3/13 (except for the 4 day event already running) at Kroger. This week, make sure to check your own local ad as many individual stores are running little specials on one or two items (like grapes etc.) There is no way for me to highlight every store in the nation so this list should be what most of us find as the regular deals in our stores.

If your Kroger does not start it’s ad on Sunday, you will find this mega event deals in your area with the start of your new ad.  Starting Sunday 3/13 head over here to win daily instant win prizes of free food!

Note: This is a list of ALL the mega event participating items. I missed a few prices when I walked my store but everything here should be participating in your store!

If you go to the Kim and Scott's website, they have a $1.00 coupon off their pretzels.

    • Bee

Remembering fondly the Mega Events when Kraft shreds were .99.

      • Lucy

And there were blinkie coupons available in Publix that made them free… My refrigerator is still stocked with free Kraft cheese.

        • Sunny

I still have a few bags left in the freezer. That was a great deal!

        • pconner

My freezer is missing all those wonderful blocks of cheese! We enjoyed every last bite! Wishing for another cheese sale like last year.

    • June

was wondering why so many items don't show price–did the paper not put it?

      • Jenn Hartwell

        Please see Jenny's note above:

Note: This is a list of ALL the mega event participating items. I’ve added prices for what they advertised and will add in the rest of the prices Sunday night after I walk my store.

        • Megan

I'm new to this and have not shopped Kroger before. Are the prices that are posted : Ex: Bumble Bee Tuna Pouches $.49 that is their sale price? So if I bought 10 for a total of $4.90 then I would get $5.00 back and that would be a $.10MM? Thanks!

          • Jessica

No, Jenny's post above says “prices listed are after instant savings”. So, the tuna pouches will ring up $.99/ea & you will get $5.00 off at the end, making them $.49/ea.

            • Megan

              Thank you Traci and Jessica!

          • Traci

The prices listed are after the instant $5 savings. She just subtracts $.50 from each item, so the Bumble Bee Tuna sale price is actually $.99. If you buy 10 your total would be $9.90-$5=$4.90

        • June

          thanks–I missed it!

    • Lucy

Philadelphia Cooking Cremes, 10 oz, $1.99
Get $5 off your next purchase WYB $20 in participating Kraft products
-$1.50 off Philadelphia Cooking Creme, SS 3/06

Since the non discounted Mega price of the Philly Cooking Cremes is $2.49, you should be able to purchase 9 of them for a subtotal of $22.41. Add in a cheap Mega item that's free after coupon like pasta or tomatoes for a total of 10 Mega items. You'll pay $22.41 – $13.50 (nine $1.50 Philly coupons) – $5 Mega savings = $3.91 and you'll receive your $5 OYNO for purchasing $20 worth of Kraft. It's a $1.09 MM.

      • Erin

Cooking Creme is not included in the cat deal.

        • Lucy

You're right — Jenny has the Cat listed but it's not correct for the item. Hopefully the incorrect Cat will be pulled from the list so others don't buy all of the Philly Cremes thinking they'll receive a Cat for the purchase.

      • jade65

What Kroger do you go to, that will let you purchase 9 of the same items and use coupons? The Kroger, that I shop, will let you use 2.

      • Leticiag30

        What OYNO means?

        • Bianca

    • Elizabethtrau

I just went to my Kroger and bought 20 of the participating items, I did not get my 5.00 catalina rebate. I did have an e coupon for the kraft singles and the customer service said that it made my total 19.50 but that she had never heard of this sale and that I had to come back tomorrow when the March sale began and return everything- (which is a different sale altogether) I could not get any other help. My husband was waiting so I just left. The problem now is they kept all my coupons so even if I were to do that I would not have the same coupons!!! So frustrating! any advice?

      • Bee

This catalina is separate from any store/sale event and should have worked.

The stores really don't have any control over the Catalina machine. You should call the Catalina people. Some stores will reimburse but they don't have to and really shouldn't have to.

My deal worked just fine from buying the B1G1 lunch meats and Velveeta Shells. Everything else was too expensive for me to consider.

      • abby

Didn't work for me either….I didn't try calling anyone because I figured it wasn't really worth my time. Disappointing though.

      • There are two seperate sales…
The $5 off of ten participating items (Mega Event) doesn't start until tomorrow. There is also a seperate 4-day sale that started yesterday…
I believe the Kraft singles are part of the Mega Event sale starting tomorrow. The only items included on this list in the 4-day sale are included at the very top of the list. Hope this helps:)

      • TiffanyJ

I went into my local kroger on Thursday and did the Kraft Catalina. I did three transactions. The first was for the kraft, but it didn't print. The second was for the kraft and betty crocker fruit snacks, both of which printed. The third was just my regular groceries. The manager also told me that she didn't know anything about a Kraft deal and really acted like I was delusional until the checker rang up the second transaction and showed her that it printed two catalinas.
We re-rang the 1st transaction several times, with and without coupons and couldn't get the catalina to print. I double checked the advertisement and then called the Catalina company. I just had to email them the transaction information and I got an email back within a couple of hours saying they will mail me the Catalina. You may want to try that. You will have to wait but I'm sure the $5 will come in handy

    • Leahsmail

I went to Krogers today. At the checkout they informed me they would no longer accept a paper coupon if you used an ecoupon. For example, I had 3 of the same item and only two ecoupons. I also had 3 paper coupons. Should they not have to accept at least one of my paper coupons for the third item? My clerk would not. She said if you used an ecoupon for the product, they could not use a paper. Is this the policy at all Krogers?

      • bichelle

I had the same problem. Now I make sure to scan my plus card first, and give them my paper coupons AFTER they push enter for the total. That way it takes off the e coupons and then it will take off the paper coupons. I do that at my Kroger now and it goes through just fine. Hope that helps

        • Have you tried it since a few days ago? I heard from another site that Kroger was implementing new software at all their chains (I believe it was effective Thursday?) so the register would beep and reject the paper coupons now if you tried to stack them.

          • Bianca

I was able to do it this evening without any problems! :)

            • CLC

              Me too!

          • Yoli

Nashville,Tn 3 of my coupons beeped when stacked cashier said it was a new policy Kroger was starting soon it would be all stores..

        • Leahsmail

I did give her the Plus Card first. The clerk printed a receipt and checked the products individually before she would process the paper coupons.

        • Lrae17

I'm in SC and this has gone back and forth in the last several months. I have only been able to do one or the other, but just a couple of days ago I was able to use both. I did feel guilty, though, because when I loaded the e-Qs it did clearly say that I could only use one (either e-Q or paper Q). Not sure what the ethical thing is here. If the MF pays them for both, then seems like it should be ok, but if Kroger states only one, then maybe I shouldn't….at least unmtil I get a response back from corporate.

      • Clan5athome

This happened at my Kroger today (Knoxville, TN – Northshore location). I wonder if it would help to send a request to corporate to change this policy – I sent a letter today via their website. I would hope they would change it, especially if those who wrote mentioned a competitor that they might turn to instead. Kroger loses nothing by accepting paper coupons in addition to their electronic ones, since they are reimbursed by the manufacturer anyways.

        • Bianca

Try the Kroger in Oak Ridge. I went this evening to test out this new policy and I was able to use an ecoupon and paper coupon on diaper wipes.

          • Kspeacher

My Kroger accepted my paper coupons today on items I had an ecoupon for. I heard they were going to change their policy company wide because the ecoupons are NOT store coupons – they are MFG coupons so technically you (we) are using two MFG coupons on one item. Other stores don't do this (accept 2 mfg coupons for one item) – it makes sense but I hope they don't change the policy.

            • Carolina Coupon Mom

I went to my Durham, NC Kroger this evening and had no problems using ecoupons, manufacturer coupons, and store coupons. After 11:00 pm you have to do self-checkout, so I rang my order ($127.32 total) THEN entered my alternate ID to get Kroger card deals. Next, I gave the cashier my coupons ($5/$50 store coupon first because I knew the total would be below $50 in the end). After taking off the manu. coupons and doubling those .50 and below, the total was $47. Not bad and the cashier covering the self-ring area was fantastic!

            • ncwalker

I was not allowed to use a paper coupon in conjunction with an e coupon. I guess they have changed their policy, because I was told I could no longer “stack” coupons.

        • Cindy A

Same thing happened to me. I was not a happy camper since I had a paper coupon for 1.00 off and my ecoupon was only .35! Luckily, I was just in for a few items and didn't have to redo my big trip. Next time I will give them paper coupons first!

      • adrienne

i went today also and got told about this new policy. i am so sad i wont be able to shop there as much :(

      • Angie8220

What I do is give paper coupon first then use Kroger card or just go to self check out then no one to tell you anything

    • Couponkelleym

I wasn't able to locate the printable Velvetta coupon. Do I have to enter a certain zip code? Thanks!

    • Michelle

Is Kroger starting another daily free stuff promotion on 3/13, or am I just understanding this wrong???

      • sarahcas

I think it will be more like the games that they have had in the past for other mega events; not like what was going on the last two weeks for the cartbuster event.

    • Brianajuskowiak

Anyone know where the starbucks booklet came from?

      • Kspeacher

The Kroger where I shop (Spring Hill, TN) has a Starbucks in it – tthey had the coupon booklets on the counter there

    • Debnsc1971

Does anyone know of a website that sells coupons besides Ebay. I have used one in the past, but I can't remember the name. Thanks!!!

      • Mathisi

        sometimes i use wholecouponinserts.com

      • Nicole

thecouponclippers(dot)com and couponbeat(dot)com are both websites that I have purchased from recently. Happy Couponing :-)

        • Debnsc1971

Thanks, Nicole….Couponbeat(dot)com was the one I was looking for!

        • Mcamis23

mycoupoinhunter is the best. She is super easy to deal with. Subscription only subscription lasts for 90 days. It think the lowest one is $5 for 25 coupons.

      • Sherri

I've been using coupons and things by dede which is cheaper and you earn points so when you earn up to 100 points they will give you $1 off. I've been using this a lot.

    • Mistie_blevins

I have a question with some of the Mega deals. For example with the Ronzoni pasta. I understand that the price listed is after the 5.00 off which makes the pasta .99 before (when buying 10 boxes). If I use my 1.00 off coupon it would make the pasta free? correct? Or am I reading this wrong? I figured if it was free Jenny would have noted so.

      • krissy818

With the $1/1 – the ronzoni garden delight will be a money maker!

      • LM

The printable $1 off coupon is actually $1 off two boxes. :( So they would be 50 cents each.

        • cardewallen

They are $0.49/each after the Mega event discount, so buying two boxes and using the $1/2 coupon gets you $0.02 overage. HTH!

    • Julie

Can you use the buy one Old Spice deodorant get one OS body wash free coupon since the body wash is $3.00 and the deodorant is $1.99? The Q says “of equal or lesser value” so I wasn't sure. I'm still new to couponing, so I'm still learning.

BTW, my Kroger let me stack ecoupons and paper tonight. I too am uncertain about this. I really don't want to be unethical and cheat anyone. I really do hope that they are reimbursed for both coupons.

      • couponmonster

Sooo..I just did this deal Friday and it worked great…here's the scenario: 1 OS deo (1.99) + 1 OS body was (on sale 3.00,orig price 4.37)

Used: $1 off old spice deo man q, $1 off OS deo ecoupon, b1 OS deodorant get body wash free…make sure the b1g1 q is at the bottom of your stack

As I looked at my receipt afterward, the ecoupon and man q combined as well as “free coupon” that deducted 4.37 off my bill…which was the original price of the body wash…don't know how that happened, but it did! You should be able to use all of your coupons if your store allows stacking; not sure if your “free” item will deduct the original price or the sale…hth

        • Julie

Thanks so much! I appreciate your help. I'll try this week! :)

    • KnoxvilleJenn

If someone can answer these couple of questions, I would greatly appreciate it:

Scenerio for the Mega Event – buy 10 cans of Del Monte tomatoes – $6.90 and get back the $5 in Catalina bucks.

      1. Then can I use those $5 Catalina bucks to buy more Mega event purchases and keep getting $5 after each transaction or will it not give me my catalina bucks b/c I used them to make the purchase???

      2. Wouldn't one of the cheapest options here be to get the Bumblebee tuna for .49 cents a pouch – buy 10 of them and they are basically free when you get the Catalina bucks back?

      • Bee

This sale is not like the Daytona. She has listed the price AFTER discount already.

The $5 off is for buying 10 participating items and is automatically subtracted from your ending total–unlike the last sale, where you got $3 off the total and $3 back in coupon form.

        • Prsol

So… no Catalina, just an instant rebate of $5.00 when you purchase 10 participant items…

In the case of Coke 2L, then, the original price would be $1.39, BUT Jenny is listing at 89¢ as this is accounting for the $5 instant rebate…

And here I was, dreaming about Coke bottles that got cheaper and cheaper, for my church event! :S … LOL

Still, a constant price of 89¢ per bottle doesn't sound bad.

Bee, do you know if there's a limit on the number of times you can take advantage of this sale on one single item?

Again, my church is having a big event in a couple of months and I'm sure they can use this discounted price to serve Coke in the reception. THANKS!

          • Bee

At my store there is no limit and my store has always been extremely well stocked. But I have heard others say they can only do two or three deals at a time.

            • Prsol

              Thanks for clarifying, Bee.
I will check with the store before I go crazy on the 2L bottles, :-)

      • Prsol

I was just wondering the same thing. My church has a big event coming up and I thought it would be nice to get Coke (2L included in mega event) and continue rolling the $5 Catalina to get more bottles. It sounds too good to be true :-(

      • KnoxvilleJenn

I think I answered my own question — didn't realize these are $5 instantly taken off your bill, so it's not like Catalina bucks — Ok, ignore my post, if I could figure out how to erase it, I would….even the Bumblebee Tuna thing is off, I realize – at the register, I will still be paying .99 for each of them, so Kroger is still 'beating' me – nothing free…darn!

      • Angie8220

I was thinking the same thing about the smart water….

    • Kmattern

How can I get the “Get More From Your Pharmacy” booklet? Was it a home mailer (I don't get any home mailers).

      • Val

It was at some Kroger Pharmacys

    • Kenzbug

If I receive a $5 catalina, can I turn around and use it the same day in a different transaction?

      • Lisak

I did today on a different catalina deal

    • Kenzbug

I figured out my own question also as soon as posting…

    • Hlbball34

does anybody have any of the sunny d coupons that they arent going to use i am willing to pay for them? let me know please

    • Becky
      • Hlbball34

do you know how many you have and what the exp date is? email me at hlbball34@yahoo.com thanks

    • Russells4him

      I have a question….
I was buying Old Spice this week. I had $1/2 Old Spice products and I had B1G1 Old Spice Body Wash when you bought an Old spice deoderant. So I figured I had to buy 2 Old spice deoderant to use the $1/2 and then the 2 Body Wash free, which I'm not sure why, but they credit you the whole price not the sale price. Well I got to thinking about it, and thinking since I was buying 4 units, can you use up to 4 coupons, so I decided to try using 2 $1/2 and 2 B1G1, and it went through. Was that wrong? I only tried it once, because I was afraid I was wrong. So the deoderants were $1.99 each, but I got $1 off those each with the two coupons $1/2 and then they gave me $3.85 off each for the body wash, which they charge you sale price of $3.00. so essentially I think I paid 2x$1.99 + 2x $3.00 = $10 and then was credited 2 x $1 and 2 x $3.85 = $9.70 in credits, so totaled 30 cents for the 4 items. Is that right? I bought other things, but that's sure how it looks like it panned out to me. Just wondering if that was right? Should I have only used the $1/2 on two deoderants and then used 2 B1G1? I intend to do it again at Krogers this week, so just wondered the right way?

    • Kenzbug

I played the new game this morning and won a Crystal Light drink mix. When I go to add it to my card, it say unable to apply to my account. Errors already with this one.

      • Lexdssmsw

I just had the same problem-won some caress body wash, but when I try to add it to my card it gave me the same error you had.

    • Dee

I won the Dove bar soap, but would not add to my card. I emailed customer support, and hopefully this will be corrected.

      • Mandi

Yeah, same thing happened to me. I won a 6 pack of Snapple and I can't load it. :-(

        • Mistie_blevins

Same here. With a 10 pk of capri sun. I really want this one, my son loves those.

      • Janetbugg

Well I won the Kraft Barbaque sauce- and mine would not add to my card either- I also emailed customer support- so we will see.

      • christine

I won pantene shampoo. It's showing up as being on my card but won't come off at the register. I have given up. Two trips to the store is enough for me!

    • AD

I won a bottle of Axe shower gel. I finally win something, and it's an item that is of no use to me, whatsoever. The story of my life. I didn't claim it. Let 'em give it to someone else.

      • Michelle

Man! And my husband just asked me to get him some more, lol. Isn't that the way the cookie crumbles =)

    • Chandlercoupons

What is a tearpad? Also the coupons referenced in “my kroger magazine” Where do I find those? And finally, is there a way when you working through the list to mark quanitity or any other notes? Thanks for this site, I really appreciate it, I am TRYING so hard to impact our budget in a positive direction and I think this will really help, if I can make it work…I know over time I will figure it out. ;)

      • sharon60

A tear pad is a pad of individual coupons you can tear a coupon off of….sometimes on a free standing display, sometimes on the shelf below or next to the product – coupon courtesy is to take no more than 2 per visit.

Kroger supposedly sends home mailers based on the amount of money you spend – somebody else may be able to tell you the dollar amount.

I started shopping mainly at Kroger a year ago so I do receive most (but not all that Jenny mentions) of their mailers with store/manf coupons in them. I noticed the last mailer I got says My Magazine so I'm not sure how long I've gotten those b/c I'm always so eager to see what's inside I've never paid attention to the front. In addition to My Magazine, Kroger periodically sends out mailers geared to your most frequent purchases and some are just random products I've never bought nor would. In the beginning those sort of confused me because they are plain, Jane coupons that all have the Kroger label and no product pic, some are store and some are manufacturer coupons, so just look at the top middle and it will say. Common sense says look at the product name, but this can be so overwhelming in the beginning, ya' don't necessarily think of that :-)

I signed up for e-coupons, for monthly emails (which I just started getting a couple of months ago after re-signing up 3 more times) and to receive the weekly sales ad via email so would advise you to do the same if you haven't already.

        Hope this helps!

Oops – forgot one question, there is not a way that I know of to note numbers of items on this list. I just note manually in the margin.

        • Chandlercoupons

thanks so much…such a learning curve, but i will get it one day:)

    • LM

Anyone have the zip code for the Ritz coupon?

    • Faith

Lots of great deals and closeouts at Hartselle, Alabama Kroger! Purex laundry detergent and fabric softener were $1.89, combined with $1/1 from Kroger mailer and RP, final price was $0.89 each. Old Spice Showtime body wash was $2.50, which combined with the ecoupon and the buy deo get bw free, this is a money maker. Annie's salad dressing had $1/1 tearpad on display, so they will be $0.49 this week. Check the dates, though, a lot of the bottles expired in 2010 and had not been pulled from the shelf, which if you shop organics a lot a this store, this is the norm. Wisk laudry detergent was marked down to $3.89, final price was $1.89 after $2/1 coupon. Pure Protein bars marked down to $0.35. Used B1G1 on this. Kid's Breath Right Strips were marked $2.49. Used $1.50/1 to make them $0.99. Lots of markdowns on organics, Secret and Old Spice Clinical deo, Loreal and Gillette hair products, triaminic, and robotussin. Markdown shelves are by the paper products. Packs of Perdue chicken breasts had the $1.50 off chicken wyb Philly Cooking Cream on them. Dial Nutriskin bodywash was marked down to $2.99. Used $2/1 for final price of $0.99. Lots of great blinkies found through out the store such as $1/2 kraft cheese, B1G1 Cesar dog food, etc. As of Saturday night, you could still combine paper and ecoupons at this location.

    • Tara

Warning. Kroger in Irmo just told my friend that they will only except two like coupons in a single transaction.

      • Ftk

        same here in indiana

        • Lora

When did this start in Indiana. I just went to Kroger last week in Indianapolis. The only problem that I ran into was, that those $3 off next purchase coupons can only be used one transaction at a time, which is in the very small print. Buyers beware for this week on the $5 off next purchase.

    • Pfamcoupons

My shot failed. I will try again tomorrow. Good luck to all whose shot won!

    • Mandi

Just wondering if you can use the store q (Kroger My Magazine) and a manu q on top of each other? I'm thinking I tried this in the past and it didn't work.
I'm also wondering about the Cellfire and Shortcuts if they are actually pulling the receipt before letting you use paper ones.

      • sharon60

Hi Mandi, Unless I'm mistaken, the paper store qs in My Magazine are all for Kroger products and I've never seen a paper man Q for Kroger products.

    • Mhmeacham

Just thought I'd let everyone know that the Rome, GA store has changed their policy. You may not use multiples of the same coupon, regardless of how many of that item you are buying.

      • Juli

That stinks, and I've made sure they know my opinion on it, LOL…FYI though, as of yesterday, Cedartown was still taking both and said they have no intention of changing that.

      • valmc

I noticed that yesterday too when I was checking out in Rome, GA. Also noticed a sign on the door when you come in that they no longer take eCoupons from your Kroger card with manufacturer's paper coupons. Makes that Publix that is coming look a lot better!

    • Kgood

Kroger in Irmo, SC told me that there was a limit of 2 like coupons per transaction this morning when I was checking out. I pointed out to the cashier that it was not posted at then entrance nor was it published in their weekly ad. The “customer service” person came to the register and repeated the same song and dance. At that point, I asked to see a manager.

The manager on duty (not the store manager) said that they would let them go through “this time”. There was a sign posted at customer service but it did NOT mention the 2 coupon limit. It simply said that management could limit the number of coupons used. Also, who checks the customer service desk before shopping? Only 4 of the coupons I was using doubled. All others were over 50 cents.

If they want to impose a limit of doubling 2 like coupons, fine. However, it is ridiculous for them to limit coupons over 50 cents to the 2 like coupons policy since they are reimbursed the full amount plus a handling fee by the manufacturer.

I urge shoppers at this store to contact the store manager, Mike Matheny (732-0423) to let him know of your displeasure with this “policy” and also voice your opinion to corporate via their website.

      • Marietphillips

Use the one on St. Andrew's Rd. by IHOP. I have never had an issue there and shop there all the time. :)

      • Nicole

So I wonder what will happen if I am buying 10 Vitamin Waters, for instance, and I split it up into 5 different transactions? Speed of checkout is already an issue at this store, if we start handling it this way, they may have to rethink the new policy!

        • nicole

I had this situation happen to me this morning. I'm new to couponing and assumed I would be able to buy 10 boxes of healthy harvest noodles. However, I had to complete 6 transactions to use the coupons. Which doubled the checkout time.

    • ginab

Hi – does anyone know the zip code for the Degree Clinical deodorant? Thanks!

      • laurieintn

        Try 37129

        • ginab

          I didn't see it — maybe it's already gone. ?? Thanks, though!

    • laurieintn

I have a general question. If something is buy one get one free and I buy 2, can I use two coupons since I am getting 2 even though one of them is free?

      Thanks!

      • AD

        Yes.

        • laurieintn

          Thank you!

    • Stoms

Warning to all who coupon in the Covington/Conyers GA area. Don't go to the Brown Bridge road Publix! They are NOT coupon friendly. I now drive much farther to another Publix because of that.

    • Lkrawson3

Not very happy ran into my Kroger to get my papers and did a quick run through to know what other sales they may have… I talked to the Manager and he said Kroger nationwide is no longer doing the ecoupons, with a manf. coupon… I told him I didn't understand since the ec was only for Kroger and cannot be used elsewhere. I asked him when did this change and he said it came down from corp. 2 wks ago… I wonder if he was just telling me that so I will not go elsewhere I have 4 krogers within 3 miles of each going different directions….

      • Karichie3

I am not understanding the no ecoupon with manuf. coupon policy. Maybe it has not gotten around to all Kroger stores yet because I went this morning and I had my Kroger card scanned first and then after total, I gave coupons and there was no issue.

        • Lkrawson3

The other day I ran in to get the toliet paper with the 3.00 ecoupon and my 1 .00 manf. coupon and the cashier told me I couln't then , I was told her I didn't understand since it was a Kroger ecoupon and she said it was a new rule, but she goes well let me see and it scanned , so she was like well maybe so… That is the reason why today I asked to know before I do my main shopping Wed. I am tempted to go to another kroger and see if the manager was telling me correctly.. if it is this is going to really hurt on saving … My publix by my house does not take stacking coupons, so I do a few miles further and they do…. it is weird how all these stores have different rules…

          • Karichie3

Interesting…I agree that if they all stop allowing the stack that this will make me visit Kroger less often. Harris Teeter is closer by and they have been doing Super Doubles nearly once a month (although their produce prices are too high so I buy from Food Lion or the local farmers market).

      • Lauren81M

My Kroger has actually updated their computer system so that the coupon beeps if you try to use a paper q with an e-coupon on the same product. It stinks because if you have a paper coupon that's a higher value than the e-coupon, you lose out, since the computer uses the e-coupon first.

      • Live2coupon

Sorry long shopping trip this morning, I hit the liked. I used ecpn and paper today. However, I live in Arkansas

    • Karichie3

My Kroger is awesome! Just went this morning and got 2 Dannon Light n Fit Yogurts, 3 cans La Costena black beans, 1 propel H2O, 4 Ronzoni pasta boxes, 1 Dole fruit crisp, 1 two-pack Dove soap, 1 fresh strawberries, 1 Emerald trail mix packet, 1 Secret deodorant, 1 Chocolate bar, 1 Vitamin water, 1 diet Sundrop, 1 Betty Crocker fruit snack, 1 super size Chex mix, 1 8-rolls Bounty paper towels, 1 Classico pasta sauce: all for $14.28!!! I got the paper towels, Chex mix, and fruit snack for free with the Kroger game. Propel for free with Kroger register coupon. Pasta for FREE with $1 off 2 coupons and of course I got the -$5 for mega deal. So much fun :)

      • couponmonster

wow, good job…i just came from kroger and had 4 boxes of pasta with two corresponding coupons…but was only allowed to use one of my pasta coupons?? I don't know why. They were for the smart taste ronzoni

    • Brooke

I'm typically a Publix shopper because that is all we have where I live. However, I'm visiting my sister-in-law later this week and consider taking a shopping list and appropriate coupons with me to show her how much money she could be saving.
So I have a couple questions about shopping a Kroger.

All the categories above that start with the word Mega are part of the Mega Event, buy any 10 items get $5 off instantly? And my understanding is that the prices Jenny list already include the 50 cents off per item. Do the Mega Event run all week, till Saturday like the normal add?

I think I understand the eCoupons, just need to get my sister in-laws card number to load up her card with eCoupons. I'm hoping she has a Kroger Card, but in general do you have to present your Kroger Card to get the sales?

Also, how is Kroger with rain checks? Just curious because it will likely be Saturday when I have the opportunity to take her shopping…

Thanks in Advance for your responses!!

      • Karichie3

Yes the Mega event prices listed above include the $5 off discount. It still is a GREAT deal on many items and adding coupons, even better.

You should doublecheck the circular for your sister-in-law's area just to be sure, but typically the ad runs Sunday-Saturday.

You will need to scan the Kroger card FIRST to ensure the eCoupons come off: I have heard of trouble from people in the past with giving the card at the end of the order. So yes you will need the physical Kroger card unless they can look it up for you.

Not sure about rain checks. Others on this blog may have other ideas…

        • Brooke

Thanks for the advice. I just looked online and it seems the sales at my sister-in-law's store (Wabash IN) run Thursday to Wednesday. Seems this add should be taking affect in her area starting this Thursday 3/17, as the current add on the Kroger site matches the previous add posted by Jenny.

      • Sharwinberry

Check with your Kroger store regarding the ecoupons. I made a quick trip to get 1 or 2 items. My e-coupons came off first, then I gave the cashier my paper coupons. She gave 2 of my coupons back, telling me that they were told from Corporate that they were to block all paper coupons that also had e-coupons. She said they no longer take both. My paper coupons were better on one item, but she said she couldn't stop the e-coupon. So be careful what you download, some of them are not very good, but with a paper coupon, it can be a good deal. I will not have to go unload some of my e-coupons since I have better paper coupons that will double.

        • Erin

Mine has been doing this for months. I stopped downloading online coupons until just before each trip just because of this – I want the most value.

      • My Kroger is still taking both paper coupons and e-coupons (as of last week) but from what everyone says, don't count on it.

I'm not sure how Kroger is with rainchecks because honestly, I have NEVER had a problem with them being out of stock, even when I go on the last day of the sale. Publix around here is ALWAYS out of stock by the second day! At least Publix is good with rain checks.

    • Lora

I just sent an email to Kroger corporate to let them know with much Sarcasm, thanks for making it , once again harder for the American people to live. With everything going up, it is now almost impossible to save money due to BIG BUSINESS. Personally , I have had it with all forms of BIG BUSINESS. You reap what you so, and I hope that Kroger will see this with a decline of their sales. All that we use for coupons is paid back to them by the manufacturer, so really, did they lose anything? NO. The only thing that they will lose, is customers going elsewhere to shop.

Maybe more of us couponers should email them and let them know how we feel about this policy, that was implemented, and sneaky the way that they did it too.
      SO MUCH FOR US CUSTOMERS.

      Sorry venting.

      • To what new policy were you referring?

If it were not for big business ALL couponers would spend far more for their groceries since there would be no coupons, certainly something that doesn't exist can't double & the sales would be few & not as deeply discounted.

If Kroger does not make money they cannot stay in business. They will have to close their doors or lay off employees.

Yes, the price of groceries has increased because the cost of the goods have increased. It is not Kroger's responsibility to absorb all of that cost.

I want to save as much money as I can ethically and I want the stores where I shop to stay open. I also want as much competition for the stores as possible because that will keep the prices as low as possible.

I know you were venting but…

        • Lora

They are not losing any money for any coupons as the manufacturers reimburse them for all of their coupons. As far as ethics, It is not ethical for the BIG BUSINESSES to raise their prices, then do away with programs they implemented. I did not ask for them , but now you take them away. I am not here to give them money to line their already huge corporate pockets. The people who work for Kroger, get paid very little, it is the people in Corporate positions, that will reap the benefits of the changes. But wait , they don't have to save money. BIG BUSINESS if not for us consumers, would not be in BUSINESS. I agree that the grocery stores should stay competitive, however, not at the expense of us small people. KROGER thinks they have the grocery market cornered , however they need to think again.

          • I don't even begin to know how to respond to this. We'll have to agree to disagree but I will state that much of your anger towards Kroger is misplaced.

        • Lora

Sorry the policy is not using ecoupons with manfacturer printed coupons.

        • Bee

As coupons become more popular (more so every day) I sometimes wonder if manufacturers (ESPECIALLY P&G) are raising wholesale to retailer prices because they can.

Of course, name brands always have competition with store brands, and in Kroger's case, many store brands (especially food) are quite good and often surpass the taste/quality of national brands. Private selection and Wholesome foods Kroger brands are delicious. As a die hard couponer, I still find myself paying what I have to for these awesome products on occasion.

I think for the most part Kroger is trying. They have changed their business model from the days where they wanted to be seen as a grocery for the wealthier demographic. However, the problem is that people become complacent. For years after Wal-Mart started raising prices, people still flooded in there and ignored the better deals and cleaner aisles of Kroger. Word-of-mouth had to do its job. But, people have to keep comparing at all times. It does get overwhelming. I can usually only mentally handle going to about 3 grocery stores and a very rare trip to Wal-Mart. But, sad to say, there is never going to be a store where we can get one stop shopping for all the best prices.

When I was a kid growing up, it was considered foolish to shop several stores just to get the deals, but my stores are so close together, it's kind of stupid not to. Even so, I really hate going into the Wal-Mart, but that's life.

    • Mcamis23

I screwed up somehow with the mega deal and was 2 items short. I think that if I go next time and buy 2 items from the deal it will give me $5 off that receipt. I seem to remember this happening to me before. Can anyone confirm?

      • Aly B

In the past they have been able to give you your discount if you go back with your receipt. If it is close by, it's worth try!

      • Rdmd2000

In the past when I have done that, I was able to go back within the week and purchase 2 more items to complete the deal. But you must go to the customer service desk to do it.

    • Ashleybbriggs

Nashville-area Krogers are stepping up their game. All coupons up to 99 cents face value are doubling. Always. My cashier said it was to compete with Harris Teeter. Are other Krogers doing this? I may have to cut into my weekly Publix budget and spend a little more at K since this is a major savings for me!

      • Lora

        Not here in Indiana.

      • susansaver

        Really? Which ones?

        • Ashleybbriggs

I shop at the Melrose Kroger (Franklin Pike/8th Avenue). I noticed it last week but didn't ask until today. My cashier made it sound like it was a regular thing that was not going to change as long as Harris Teeter did it, too!!!

          • rebekah

Nice to know….thanks! I usually go to the one in Lavergne, but I may have to switch! :)

            • Jerry

No doubling above $.50 at the goodlettsville kroger yesterday(was capable to stack e-coupons). Wonder if this is only south of town where harris teeter is?

            • FrenchEmerald

the Marketplace in Gallatin allowed stacking of e-coups with paper coups yesterday, though I know their policy is not to .. the cashier didn't give the computer screen or receipt a second glance when I handed her my paper coups. I can't imagine a cashier wanting to take the time to scroll through to see if a e-coupon had been used for a particular item for every coupon I hand them … unless of course it's computerized and then it's out of our hands all-together.

      • Ipreferpublix

It;s probably just THAT store, since HT is such a huge competitor for them. None of the Kroger stores I shop at in Nashville do this.

    • Michelle

After I redeem the prizes I won this week, from the Kroger contest last week, I don't think I will be going back. There is only one Kroger here, and they are NOT coupon friendly…never have been. I can only imagine the grief I would get now that the coupons policy has changed. I hope they go out of business! The new coupon policy is just plain stupid. I hope someone from Kroger actually reads some of the things we write on here.

      • Lora

I went on the Website and wrote a not so nice note to them today about their new policy. More of us couponers need to do the same.

      • Bee

They should be reading. It's good business practice.

    • ToddDu

Kroger has digital coupon for French's spicy mustard, thinking price will be $1.09 – $1.29 with MegaEvent so use 2 printable and digital and get 2 for free (maybe plus overage)

      • Lora

Cannot use ecoupons plus printed manufacturer coupons at Kroger anymore. New policy.

        • ToddDu

As others have said, yes you can in some locations. It's worth trying until all systems are updated

    • couponmonster

Does anyone know how many internet coupons kroger will take at one time? I tried using 2 Ronzoni Smart Taste coupons on 2 boxes of the pasta (coupon was $1 off 2 boxes) and the clerk said one of the two would not take and that the computer told her “limit reached” or something…has anyone had this happen. I asked how many of the same coupon one could use per transaction and I'm not sure she understood what I was asking by her response. She said that she didn't know until she actually scanned the coupon…huh? I printed both coupons from Jenny's link and got two to print by hitting the backspace button…is that why it didn't accept, were they exact replicas and the system thought one was a photocopy? I'm confused…I really wanted free pasta!! :)

      • Klkhv

I just used 11 of them this morning, got 22 boxes of pasta for free. Most of the coupons, I have found you can print two, it has nothing really to do with the backspace. I just click the link again and print it until it tells me I have printed as many prints as I am allowed.

        • couponmonster

ok, well maybe i have bad luck…I'll try it again tomorrow. Good to know Kroger will take that many!

          • kathleen

I don’t know anything about al limit of printables, however, if you print it twice the barcode and numbers are different for verifi.com, so you are not doing anything wrong by printing the second copy, it was just a computer issue or something like that when you went. Hope you get the free pasta you want next time!

          • Kratie00

I'm wondering if it was more that the coupon was for $ off of 2 boxes and you were only buying 2 boxes so only one coupon would work – not both?

            • couponmonster

I'm reading the bottom of the coupon and the fine print says “limit one coupon per purchase”…maybe that's why….it's the New World Pasta Co coupon…are there others out there? So, even though I had 4 boxes and 2 q's, it wouldn't allow another q? I just clicked on Jenny's link and that's where it took me.

        • couponmom

How did you get 11 coupons for the pasta.. all I could print was 2?

      • The problem is that you used 2 coupons that were $1/2 on two boxes. To use both coupons you would need to purchase 4 boxes.

        • couponmonster

          shoot…i miswrote…I did have 4 boxes and it wouldn't let me….

          • Lorannclark

my kroger has a limit of 2 internet coupons on a particular product – you can use all the internet coupons you want, just not more than 2 of the same for the same product. somewhere on this site, Jenny has said the same, perhaps the tutorial for shopping Kroger- hope this helps

            • couponmonster

              ah, thank you…i will re-read!!

      • couponmonster

Sorry….I had 2 coupons ($1 off 2 boxes) and had 4 boxes…don't know it wouldnt let me use both my coupons?

      • Stealers

Well duh you were only buying 2 boxes not 4 boxes. Your coupon was a dollar off 2 boxes which attaches to two items you'd have to get 4 boxes to use 2 x 1/2 coupons.

        • couponmonster

ahhh, I know…I miswrote…I wish the comment box would allow one to edit their own comment….I did in fact have 4 boxes and 2 q's worth $1 off 2 boxes

    • Klkhv

In case any of you are new to this couponing thing like I am, I ran into a snafu at Kroger this morning. I was under the impression that once you purchased the required 10 items, all afterwards would ring up at the “new” price… nope. Problem is, the clerk also does not tell you that you are TWO items short of another $5 off, so you end up paying that full price minus whatever coupons you came up with … that's underhanded and sneaky to me. I asked at customer service and they said yes, once I purchased the 10 items I was good to go, then I wondered why my bill was about $12 higher that I anticipated. Unfortunately, my cashier was offended and her line had filled up with people. She said, well you got $108 for $27, isn't that good enough? I talked to the CSM and said I would go home and go over my receipt and see if I could figure out why my total was higher than it should and come back if I need to, that no, the cashier had done a fantastic job and it was probably my error (yeah, right). Once I got home I figured the problem was the 10 item increments.. .so yes, get them in sets of 10!!!

      • Kenzbug

Yes, you HAVE to get them in sets of 10. The cashier merely rings up the items. I ran into the same problem a few weeks ago with another mega event. MY error. Customer Service fixed it once I went and got the required items. It is not the cashiers fault if you don't get the required items. We all learn from our mistakes when we are new to couponing. It's a learning process.

      • Sewingmom2

the clerk has no idea how many of the 10 items you are buying, the computer keeps up with it and gives you the discount at the end. It is up to the buyer to keep up with the items in increments of 10 items. I always take my sale paper and also pen and paper to make sure I get increments of 10 items.

      • Lorannclark

i don't know if all computer systems are the same, but @ my Kroger, the mega event items have a little (+) sign by them. I try to watch the screen and count as they ring up, just to double check. When I count 10, I know it am good. But I always count a 100 times (just kidding) before I even get to the register. It's good to watch the screen. One time I got Colgate, which was in the paper and marked on the shelf as a participating item, but not in the system. So the computer showed me having 19 items instead of 20. Customer service was great to help. They checked the shelf, saw that it was marked, and reimbursed my money, no problems.

        • DebTN

I use a notebook to organize my coupons. It rests, open, in the kid's seat on top of a tote bag while I shop. My list is there on top of the notebook. At the top of the list I write “mega” and under it I make a mark each time I put a mega item in my cart. Are they called hash marks? You know, 4 lines then the fifth crosses them. Anyway, it helps keep up with the number of items. I only have to count them 10 times before I get to the checkout instead of 100. :). I've tried watching the screen but my ADD always kicks in and I lose track. In no way do I consider it the cashier's place to tell me when I have ten items. Maybe Kroger might find a way to program the registers to beep or something each time ten items go through … hmmm…

      • Mel

I have done that accidentally before and gone back to buy the additional 1 or 2 items that I'm missing and then taken them up to customer service and they've adjusted my receipt. Might be worth going back to your customer service desk, using your sweetest voice, and asking if they'll let you do it this time.

    • Kenzbug

Guess it is a new policy..not sure how it works. Was able to use paper coupons, e coupons did not come off. Macon, GA Kroger

    • Cramsey

The Kroger stores in Knoxville, TN are now also siting the new coupon rule of no ecoupons stacked with paper coupons. I am personally friends with the guy that runs the self-checkout and works the late night on Northshore and was told about it last week before trying it. He said that their computers are now set up so they can't even override it to accept the paper coupons if an ecoupon has been used on an item. I definitely agree that all of us couponers need to send an influx of emails to corporate to let them know our dissatisfaction with this new policy, especially when it does not affect their bottom line as they are reimbursed for all manufacturer and ecoupons that are from the manufacturer. This is why so many of us have been going to Kroger because they are coupon friendly and we need to let them know. I will be looking for other stores in my area to frequent and get better deals at, even though Kroger is more convenient for me.

      • Bee

And actually, there is quite a bit more competition in this area than Kroger realizes. Dollar General Market, Aldi and Food City are all becoming/have been highly competitive. Granted, Food City is the last one to get the memo about people shunning high prices, but I believe they are on the way to coming around. There is also some kind of grocer's outlet type place in Halls that I keep meaning to check out where I hear people are picking up name brand products for little $.

I'm not too terribly concerned about the e-coupon thing. I think P&G is behind it, as those two are in cahoots up North. P&G products for the most part are outrageously overpriced to be “every man” products. When it comes down to it, who needs Tide stain remover at a sale price of $5.99 a pack, with a coupon STILL making it $3?

And isn't is great how now the P&G razor coupons are forcing the purchase of cartridges because so many were using the razor packages as their “refills”. For heaven's sake I wish I knew why razors are so costly.

    • Guglehelm

I found the same problem in Cincinnati, OH. I tried to use both ecoupon and paper for some P&G products and was told that the system will not allow you to use a paper coupon if an eCoupon had been used. If I had known it was one or the other, I would have used paper first in some cases. I am not sure how to get around this new system.

      • Lora

Try using the Kroger card at the very end. Let them ring everything, give them your coupons, then give them your Kroger card. That way you get all your coupons , and then if you have items to use ecoupons for , it will come off at the end. That is the only thing I can figure out.

        • Susan

This would not be a good stratagey. In Georgia the Kroger plus card is what doubles our coupons up to $ .50. If they scan your coupons before your Kroger plus card your coupons won't double. Susan

    • Hillarypence

okay so i am new to all these coupons. But i am also a little confused on this $5.00 of deal. For example if i buy 10 boxes of pasta that would make them .49cent do you also get $5.00 off to make them free or does it make the past .49 a box after you take the $5.00 off?

      • Rebekah

The pasta is on sale for .99 a box, but if you buy 10, $5 will come off. If you use the $1/2 coupon, that makes it free! Hope this helps!

    • Cheryl

I was able to stack ecoupons and paper coupons yesterday and today in Lawrenceville, GA. They said nothing, I didn't see any signs, etc. Everyone's comments on this post has me feeling that it's probably coming soon, though. I'll keep stacking until they tell me I can't. If they make it available for me to do, then to me it is ethical. If I go and have a trip where my ecoupon comes off but not my paper one, I'll just have them void the item and come back and use the paper coupon.

If this new “policy” really does roll out to all Krogers, I just won't be loading ecoupons very often, as paper coupons are almost always a better deal. It was nice to get some things for really cheap (LOVED stacking Tide, Tampax, lunch meat and Old Spice as those are WAY overpriced) but I won't be outraged by any means. Sure, it will take 2 or 3 minutes online to delete ecoupons that I don't need for my shopping trip. It's not so inconvenient that I'm incensed. If something is a better price at Walmart or Publix then I'll take my business there for those items. I'm sure they will feel a little bit of a hit for people who take their business elsewhere. But couponers are the minority, so I don't think they'll change their minds. Kroger is still the cheapest place for most of my groceries so I can't say I won't be shopping there anymore.

      • Lora

I understand that all Kroger systems in all stores have not been fully updated yet to show this, but it is coming.

    • rebekah

I had a great trip to Kroger tonight! No problem at my Kroger in Lavergne TN stacking (I was a little worried after reading about what everyone else had experienced this week)! I saved over $60 and the lady owed me .03 cents, but I told her to keep it! I don't need the overage when everything is free! :)

    • Nikita

Im going to ask our sevierville TN one tomorrow or Tuesday. Very dissapointed and left a long comment on krogers website about the stacking and the limits concerning all krogers since from what I am reading this is a corporate decision which means it's only a matter of time before every Kroger is forced to follow. I dont see any benefit for them by doing this so I can only wonder why.

    • Krogershopper

While I sincerely dislike the “no stacking” policy – it is stated in the eq terms online. Also, from what I understand from various articles, it is not actually Kroger who is the one stopping it, but it is the maufacturer's (mainly P&G) who are refusing to reimburse Kroger when there is stacking. It may be more beneficial to contact P&G to express our displeasure AND to consider “boycotting” their products. When they completely yanked eq's a while back, it didn't last long because they saw a change in buyer's habits.

      • lora

Thank you for the additional information.

      • Bee

In order to remain competitive, Kroger could consider paying the stacking (e-coupon side). Each card only gets one e-coupon, so are we really talking about something that's going to be excessively abused? They could lower the values a bit, as Target does for their store coupons. I don't expect free, but I do expect decent prices and an incentive to actually buy some of the more overpriced products.

        • Krogershopper

I mostly agree. I would personally *love* if they did this. They do offer double coupons in most areas (and some areas triple up to .35) – so they do cover that doubled amount. I do think that a lot of folks are more likely to throw in an eq than always clip a paper q – so not everyone is trying to stack coupons. However, the trend *is* growing. The problem comes in that the manufacturer will or can refuse to reimburse Kroger for either the paper coupon, the eq, or both. In the last case, then Kroger is really eating a huge chunk if they try to “cover” it. I would think it is a problem that the retailer and the manufacturer *should* work out together.

Mainly, I wanted to point out that Kroger isn't all to fault for the issues. We could put pressure on the manufacturer as well – it worked before, so why not now?

And I think another posted said that their store allows the stacking (mine currently does) – and I don't see an issue of using that benefit if it is available!

          • Mel

I've always been curious, though, as to how the manufacturers reimburse the store. Do they check to see which coupons go with which receipts? Because my thought is that if my store allows a man. Q and an e-Q, but I've only bought one item, I'm sure there is SOMEONE else who has purchased that same item from that store and not used any coupons at all. So in the end, Kroger should get reimbursed for the coupon because it's not like they have more coupons than items sold, right? (This is hard to explain.)

    • Kathyjb819

can someone please tell me if kroger will allow me overages? I have 6 coupons for the $1/1 ronzoni garden delight. If I buy 10 boxes will I be able to get the other .50 towards other boxes or different items in my cart?

      • Caroline

You should because it's technically not overage. The sale price is $.99 and they should accept the $1 coupon for that or adjust it down to .99. Then the $5 comes off at the end, assuming you've bought 10 mega items total. Word of warning: you should definitely cashier profile before you check out. I had a cashier (older woman) during the last mega event only give me the mega event price off on a free coupon and that's not what's supposed to happen. Good luck!

        • malou

Yeah, if that casher is busy I don't think she/he will sit there and adjust every one of those coupons. Mine allowed me to use the overages towards the rest of my items today. I also found that when you go during the busy time of the day that they are more lenient with their coupon policy at the self-checkout.

      • luv2shop

My Kroger in Cary, NC allows overages.

      • I don't know about the “official” policy, but here's what I've noticed. If the coupon is for $1 off and the item is less than that, the full $1 will come off so you can use the overage toward the rest of your purchase. If the coupon is $.50 off and the item is less than $1, the coupon will only double up to the price of the item. For example, I had some coupons for $.50 off AirHeads candy a couple of weeks ago. The candy was $.79. I was hoping to get $1 off for each one but instead of doubling, each coupon just went to $.79. Still free, but no overage. When I had a $2 off Swiss Miss coupon and the boxes were $1.50, the full $2 came off so I did get the $.50 overage. It makes sense if you think the manufacturer is going to reimburse them for the face value so they can afford to give the overage but they're paying to double so there's no reason to give overage in that case.

Oh and I'm still bitter that the $1.50 off BreatheRight coupon wouldn't work at all when those were $.50. It worked fine at Walgreens but they were $.99 there…could have gotten twice as many free at Kroger :)

        • Live2coupon

I had the same problem with the BreatheRight also.

      • Ebonyannette

Yes this is what I did:

20 boxes of ronzoni garden delite
        20 powerades
used 20 $1/1 ronzoni garden delight coupons (ordered about a month ago but Food Lion was STOOPID so I didnt get to use them at that time)
It took of 4 of the $5 offs' so -$20
and with my 20 $1/1 coupons it took off another $20
I bought 2 packs of hawaiian rolls so my total was $2.XX (cant remember exact change)
so basically I used those $5 credits to buy the powerades..hope i explained that right

    • turbofiddler

I am fairly new to the couponing and was confused by my shopping trip to Kroger this a.m. The sale flyer seems to indicate that if you buy any combination of 10 participating items, you will get those items at a lower price…AND you will get $5 off of your shopping total for each 10. I'm not sure if I was just hopeful…sounded too good to be true…but my final total was much higher than I was predicting. Looking at my receipt, the final $5 mega-deals were subracted, but I'm not seeing the “sale” prices.

EX: I bought 10 boxes of Annie's Mac'n'cheese and the flyer makes it look as if you will get them for $0.49 each if you buy 10, which I did. Though I did get $5 off of my total, nothing indicates I got the sale price. Do they want me to infer that the sale price is what I'll end up paying WITH $5 off my total? It works in this case, but not for the hotdogs, yogurt, cheese, and toothpaste I also bought in a set of 10.

      Anyone with knowledge…please share!!!

      • Krogershopper

Did you scan your card? What does the receipt say? i.e. how much do they ring up per item? It *should* be .99 each, then a $5 discount at the end which makes them .49 each after sale.

        • turbofiddler

Yes…I scanned my card. The receipt does show that I bought 4 sets of 10 items. I got 4 groups of $5 off of my total, plus my coupons. I was just thinking there were sale prices AND $5 off. I realize now that each 10 items will net you $5 in the end. The ad is misleading (to me, at least!). It seems like 2 deals on the same products. Should have known it was too good to be true! Still, I got great pricdes on things I would have bought anyway…over a period of time! Thank you for your help! :D

      • AK

Check your receipt and your mega sale items should have a plus mark next to it. The receipt will not show the 49cent price but show minus five dollars at the bottom. If an item was not a mega sale item, they will let you return them.

        • turbofiddler

Thank you! I was overly excited…thinking the price would drop to 49 and I would get $5 off (finally getting something free!). Let's just say that we won't be buying Annie's Mac (still a mega deal at 49…) or Bumblebee tuna for quite a while!

      • FrenchEmerald

the Mega Event price IS the lowest advertised price (assuming you are buying 10 of the participating items) … Each of the sale items are at a reduced price by $.50 .. so by buying 10 you are saving $5 … it's confusing and can be disappointing if this is not understood from the beginning .. I know, b/c I've been there too :D

    • Leticiag30

Could someone please explain how the 10 for 10 works? Can I use coupons with the sale? Do I need 10 coupons or just one? Please help! I'm trying to learn but seems so hard to get it right.

      • Kelley

On Kroger 10 for 10 sales, you do not have to purchase 10. You can buy one. You will need to use a coupon for each item you buy.

      • Krogershopper

You must by a combination of 10 items to get the $5 off. You can buy all of 1 type i.e. all 10 items could be the del monte tomatoes, or you could combo it as 5 delmonte, 5 annie's mac, or any combination of items that equals 10. You will want to double check your advertisement, but you should be able to do multiples of 10 in 1 transaction – i.e. 10x delmonte, 10xAnnie's Mac, 10xCoke 2liters, etc…

You *can* use coupons on top of the sale to make the prices even better. For example, the Annie's mac&cheese is on sale for .99. When you buy 10, you get $5 off, and there is a .75/2 coupon. The transaction would look like this (it's only an example, so prices/coupon terms may vary):

        9.90 – 10x annie's mac
        -5.00 – March Madness promo
        -3.75 – 5x.72/2 Annie's Mac coupon
1.15 + applicable tax for 10 boxes of mac & cheese

        • Cwollard

i think her post was possibly talking about the 10 for 10, not the mega.

      • Patty

It can become confusing if you buy like 60 items(6 deals) of sale items. Some people use their reusable bags to put each 10 items in. If you buy mostly 10 of each item this isn't necessary but I know I mix them up usually.

      • FrenchEmerald

the 10 for 10 is a different sale from the 10 Item Mega Event sale …
        – with the 10 for 10 you do not need to buy 10 items to get them for $1 .. you can buy only one item and purchase it for $1 (use your coups if you have them for even greater savings!)
        – with the 10 Item Mega Event you will need to have a count of 10 items to get the $5 discount (aka the lowest advertised price). You can mix and match the items that are part of this event. Use your coups for even greater savings!
        hth! :D

    • Kspeacher

I came across a blinkie in the Kroger in Spring Hill today for $1/2 bags of 3 muskateers candy bars up to 22 ounce – the 8-10 packs of 3 Muskateers are on sale 10 for $10… I wasn't sure if it would work on these smaller packages so I just tried one but it worked with no problem! Good way to stock up if you need these for Easter :)

    • Karen

anyone know where I find the vitamin water coupons for .75

      • I'm wondering the same thing…

        any Vitamin Water coupons anywhere?

        • Megortiz63

CVS had a hangtag – $1/3 that included Fuze, Vitaminwater, and something else, a couple of weeks ago.

    • Angelas001

I'm new, is there not a general discussion board somewhere on the site? Anyways, we use a lot of 'health food' brands that I'm not finding coupons for, so I just watch for sales. But that's not good enough any more!Lol, you guys have made me jealous. So I'd heard of asking the company for coupons, and I have had luck with that from Ians, Applegate and Spectrum. I thought I'd share and ask if anyone else has had luck with any companies I should try.

    • Angelas001

Oh, and does anyone know if the Nashville Whole Foods allows store and manufacturer's coupons to be stacked?

    • Amanda

You can use the $1 off coupon if you buy milk and chips ahoy cookies. It would make them $0.99.

    • JSW

      I went yesterday and spent $65. I saved $124!!! I love couponing!!

    • Reese

Where can I get the $1.00 off Capri Sun coupon? Thanks!

      • Bee

I had the coupon. It's actually for 100% juice Capri Sun, a more expensive product not included in the Mega Event.

It was in a booklet attached to Maxwell House coffee.

    • Kay

I have a question about the Kraft catalina deal. Do you have to reach the $20 before coupons or after coupons to get the $5 off? Thank for any help!!!

      • Bee

It's before and you also can rely on before sale prices to reach the $20. For instance, I bought 10 Capri sun because the non-sale price is $20. With the mega sale, I paid $14.90. But I still got the $5 Cat.

Some regular prices are far higher. I got a $5 Cat for buying the B1G1 Oscar Mayer lunch meat in the last sale and I was credited for the price before 50 percent was taken off. In other words, I was only required to buy $10 worth.

Hope this isn't too confusing. Sometimes it's a little hard to explain correctly.

    • Al

So I spent $20+ on Kraft products today (pre-coupon) and no $5 catalina printed. It doesn't have to be $20 after coupons does it? If not, who can I contact to get the catalina? Thanks!

      • JessicaJ

It doesn't include all Kraft products, just the participating ones. Did you make sure the items you bought were included?

      • Al

I checked my items & I purchased a couple Phil. cooking cremes. I know the cream cheese is included…anyone know if the cooking creme is? Thanks!

    • Laura

Thanks so much Jenny! There is now a $0.55/1 Land O Lakes Half & Half 16 or 32 oz. e-coupon on the Kroger Softcoin website, as well as a new instant win game.

    • Ang4uk

Does anyone know if there is a limit on how many $5 off deals you can do in one transaction. I have three that I am planning on doing today and was just wondering if I can do all three in one transaction. Thanks

      • Judy

I don't think there is any limit on this. I did 5 in one transaction this morning and it all went fine!

Also, the Kroger on St. Andrews Columbia still allows coupon stacking… yay!!

    • Kenzbug

Is anybody else having a problem with the new game? I won yesterday and today and both times it says unable to apply to account. I haven't reached the maximum number of coupons allowed on my card, so I don't know what the problem is.

      • CT

Mine said the same but after waiting two days my won items were waiting to be loaded and it worked!

      • Kmattern

A couple people I know have been saying it was just fixed recently, so maybe try again? Hopefully it'll work for you soon!

        • Kenzbug

Thanks, after reading this I went and checked. Sure enough, there they were!!

    • Ftk

Our Indiana-based Kroger permits stacking of e-coupons and paper coupons, however, they eliminate the benefit by increasing the item price compared to Southern Savers quoted price to take into effect the e-coupon amount.

      • Kenzbug

Have you checked within the last few days? My Kroger also allowed stacking but when I went Sunday, they have stopped it. I also noticed that a lot of others here have noticed this change just within the past few days.

    • Pfamcoupons

Woohoo! Today I went to the Kroger in Nashville on 8th ave, my 55 cents off Lay's coupon doubled and I got five bags of Lays for $5!
Thanks Jenny, we were out of chips and my husband loves Lay's.

      • Bee

Did you notice on the Lay's coupon it said “One per customer”. I thought they would probably still work if you used more than one, but I thought that was a little odd, especially since they were only .55.

        • Pfamcoupons

Yes! I thought that was wierd as well. I took five bags to the self check and did five different transactions just in case the register caught it.

    • Courtney

Hae we found a price for the Chungs Egg Rolls, listed above?

      • mclark

I saw it today for $2.39.

    • Leticiag30

Today I went to mt Kroger in Memphis and found Bounty Paper towels on sale 8 pack regular rolls on sale for 5.99 I used my e coupon for 2.00 and and a target coupon for 1.00. My total was 2.99. THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL THE ANSWERS ABOUT THE 10 FOR 10 AND THE MEGA EVENT. I was very confused about those sales. Now I understand better. THANKS

      • mom2cmw

Which Kroger did you go to? My Kroger in Oakland doesn't allow stacking. Thanks!

    • Judy

Spent $34 and saved $100 this morning!! This was my best shopping trip yet!

However I just want to mention that when I went to the pasta aisle, most of it was already cleaned out. I saw a couple people walking around with TONS of boxes of pasta in their carts. I know the pasta is a great deal and a money maker for the garden delight, but can we please not be greedy and SHARE with other people?? NO ONE needs that many boxes of pasta, especially when you can get it for free pretty much every couple weeks!

      • Bee

Sadly I knew that would happen, which is why I was at Kroger before 8:00am yesterday. I bought 10 boxes and I did not have one box in the house. I was actually very grateful for the sale. I only got two boxes of the garden delight and to be honest, that was the LOWEST stocked variety. Maybe on purpose?

I thought 10 was a reasonable number, because frankly, Kroger is running a sale that promotes buying in groups of 10. I will personally go through 10 within 4 weeks, when another variety will be on sale again.

I also bought 10 Capri Sun, that I did have to pay for, LOL but a good deal nonetheless.

The things is, no one knows unless they ask someone whether that person is buying for personal use, a church group, or are picking up food for several family members who cannot make it to the store.

On the other hand, I really don't buy into the altruistic excuse for clearing the shelves. If one were a regular donor, then they could use the same generous feelings they have allowing them to stop off at the food bank to be considerate of fellow shoppers. The most I got of any one pasta variety was 4 boxes (smart taste). Tons of pasta left on shelf. If a person makes a plan to buy 60 boxes of pasta, then I don't understand why a phone call to the manager asking for extra stock to be ordered cannot be accomplished.

Sometimes I think that the word “free” sends people into some kind of frenzy, regardless if it's something they actually want. Even the money maker pasta was only appealing to a certain point. We prefer plain but will use the garden variety in pasta salad.

So while I wouldn't exactly want to be questioned about how much food I am buying or feel like others are passing judgment, nor do I think that a sale resulting in “free” items is an invitation to lose one's discernment.

        • Anonymous

often the ones “buying’ tons of one item are purchasing it for their own store to resell!!!! I know of several shop owners that do it. If someone is purchasing for the food bank they will usually go thru the manager. Then there are the hoarders…it’s a disease…oh well…that is why God made Rain Checks.

    • mjones629

What do the little acorns mean beside certain items listed above?

      • mjones629

Nevermind. I just saw it as I hovered the mouse over it. Great!

    • Guest

If i have coupons for free items- like pedigree canned food- would they still count toward the mega item?

      • Amy T

        Yes

    • Karri

OK so all the post about the e coupons and M's got me concerned and I called my Kroger. They said they were aware that some stores were making this change but they wouldn't be any time soon. So if you live in Auburn, Al we have a wonderful Kroger! Also I asked about how many like coupons they would take and they said as many as I had for the products I buy. So here is to you Kroger in Auburn. Al you get 5 stars in my book.

      • Kristina

Really? I just started couponing and was in there a few weeks ago inquiring about their policies. They told me that they only except one or the other. I haven't been in there to try it. Guess the girl at customer service just didn't know, so I've been going to the Opelika store. I do like the fact that it is bigger. What paper do you buy to get the “good” coupons? My OA Newspaper that I get almost never has coupons in it and NEVER has the SmartSource.

        • Karri

I always go to the one on Glenn and I have never had a problem getting both coupons. I love that one cause I have been goping there for years and know the staff. The other one is backwards and drives me crazy. LOL I buy the Birmingham News and the columbus Ledger Enquire. I get two of each. They have both in them. The OA news lost me when they didn't put any coupons in any January Sunday papers.

    • Kmattern

Does anyone know where the tearpad with the Vitaminwater coupon is?

      • ToddDu

Really wish I did, been to 3 Krogers and don't see them. Going back later this week for 30 of these for $15.00 because it's still a great deal

      • Tpcoupons1977

BP gas stations have had the tearpads here in KY!!

      • Ipreferpublix

most drink tearpads are found at gas stations on the cooler doors. Try truck stops like Flying J, Love's, Sudden Service and Pilot

    • Lorannclark

Today I spent about $30 on about $60 worth of groceries, cut my bill in half (a little over 50%). The Kraft promotion (buy $20 get a $5.00 catalina coupon off your next purchase) does work! I also got Lysol wipes, Protein Bar, and 2 boxes of pasta FREE!!! For the wipes, these are part of the Mega event, my kroger still stacks e-coupons and paper, so I got it free. Good grocery trip today.

      • Jessica

For the Kraft cat, do you have to have over $20 or can it be really close? (I wanted to do cheese ($1.99 each) and need to know if I can get 10 and get the cat or need to get 11) Thanks!

        • Fgavent

This is my understanding that it has to be $20 before coupons. I would not try to be really close if you wanted the catalina.

    • ToddDu

    • Kenzbug

I hope I don't sound too dumb, but, what is a tear pad and where do I find them in the stores? Is it something I have to ask for? I'm gathering it is not the same as the little coupons that you pull from those little things in front of some products.

      • Val

A tearpad usually hangs by the product. It'll be a large stack of coupons and you “tear” the coupon off. hehe. Very similar to the “pullies” (little coupons that you pull). I think they're harder to find because people can just swipe a whole stack where with the pullies you have to wait for them to come out one by one. Good luck!

    • Caroline

I had a great trip to Kroger today! 80% saved, only paid $22, down from $102! I did three mega events plus some other things I needed. They're doing something new with milk and I got four 1/2 gallons marked down to $.99 each and they don't expire until 3/20! I was also really excited to find peelies on the Classico alfredo for $1/2 AND $1/2 Ronzoni healthy harvest. I was already getting 6 boxes of those and 6 of smart taste so didn't need more but can hang on to the coupons for next week! My store did not have any of the Garden delight. Also, none of the Pepperidge Farm cookies or breads were part of the mega event. My kids love Dannon Danimals smoothies so I was able to get four of those and still have some $1 coupons for next week! Thanks Jenny for all you do!!

      • TDcouponfreak

What area is your Kroger in that's doing the milk? Mine's in the Columbia, SC area and I go on Thursdays but I don't remember them ever doing this. I hope when I go this Thursday it will be in mine.

        • Josefine13

The Kroger on Forest Dr. often has milk marked down that expires within 1-5 days, they'll mark it down more based on the amount of time til the expiration date i.e. if a 1/2 gallon expires in 2 or 3 days, they'll charge $.75-$1, but if it's in 5 days, might charge $1.25-$1.50 assuming normal price is $1.99. Think it also is in regards to if they just got a shipment of fresh milk in as well as if they will mass mark down the milk.

          • Caroline

I’m in Harrisonburg, VA. I always make sure to check the cooler near the checkouts bc they often have marked down milk that they don’t have in the back. That’s where the guy was when I bought them the other day. We’re on the last 1/2 gal already and still 3 days from the date. I wish I’d bought more!!

    • Tanya_morera

More coupons for this expire 3/31 .50/1 SS 1/23 FRENCH'S spicy brown mustard.

    • Trapanizoo

anyone have any issues using the Men+Care printable coupon for the Dove Men+Care deoderant? mine printed off saying “Redeem at Walmart”… wondering if i'll have any problems using it at Kroger.

      • AD

If your Kroger is anything like the one I frequent, I would not even bother to attempt using it there. None of the grocery stores in my area will take a manufacturers coupon when it says “Redeem at Some Other Chain”.

      • Angie8220

Sometimes I go to shelf check out to avoid any mess from the cashiers. Usually early in the morn or at night to avoid lines

    • Annies homegrown natural and organic foods has a free offer if you buy 2 of their items you can get a gardening kit with either adult or child gardening gloves. And the form is a online fillable, so no postage.

Has anyone won anything from the March Kroger event?? I keep trying, but not winning! :( I appreciate them giving us chances to win things tho!! :)

      • AD

Yes. I won the first day and today, and I rarely win anything in these events. Keep trying!

      • Mistie_blevins

I've won a 10 pack of Capri Sun and a bottle of Frank's Hot Sauce. A little not popped up the other day on the site though about only being able to win 2 prizes per account?? I'm going back today to try again, but I'm guessing there might be a 2 prize cap.

        • Bee

On these type promotions, it usually is just 2 prizes.

You won't be able to get more using that card.

      • Angie8220

i just won free bbq sauce

      • cheryl

I haven't won anything from the March event. I also did not win anything from the Coin Toss or Daytona games despite playing on my card and my husband's card every single day of the promotion. But I did win 8 things during the Mega Deals daily prizes, so I can't really complain.

        • cheryl

I finally won Ritz crackres and Pebbles Treats (looks kind of like rice krispies treats) on my card and my husband’s card. So weird to win 2 in a row after never winning in all the days of the Coin and Daytona games.

    • bichelle

I won a can of tomatoes the first day but it keeps saying unable to load on card and to contact customer service. I emailed them – haven't heard anything from them yet. Guess I will call tomorrow if haven't received an email by then. Good Luck to everyone!

      • bichelle

Got it to load .. yay me :)

      • Junk1111

Well my free item is loaded but when I bought it did not come off my receipt. I am still waiting to hear back.

    • w120jmk

Jenny, do you know when the unadvertised deals will be posted? I am waiting on it before I go shopping. Thanks!

Where did you find coupons for Powerade? Would you please tell me

        • Josefine13

          probably through mycokerewards

        • Kroger Shopper

There were coupons on the Powerade at Publix a couple of weeks ago for Buy 10, Get 5 free. There was also a tearpad at CVS for $1 off 3. HTH!

    • Angie8220

Sometimes I go to shelf check out to avoid any mess from the cashiers. Usually early in the morn or at night to avoid lines

    • shelly

It may say this and I am just missing it but do these prices include the .50 that will be taken off or not?

      • DebTN

The mega event prices shown here reflect the 50 cent savings on each.

    • Litlpat

Don't know if anyone has said this yet, but in our local kroger, martinsville, VA, there is a 75 cent off 2 any annies product tearpad on a display in the organic section, which with the mega sale would make them 25 cent for 2, great deal on organic mac and cheese

    • Shockey828

doesnt Kroger usually do their mega events 2 weeks in a row? I noticed they have done this for the past 3 mega events and just want to make sure. Im not able to make it there this week but want to be able to stock up next week. Anyone have an answer?

      • Sunshyne

Yes, they usually do these mega events 2 weeks in a row. However, I'm almost positive these are the same items that were included in the event last week. I know I was able to get the Gillette wash last week at that price & the deoderant listed.

        • Shockey828

thanks for the info!! I will go ahead and pull my coupons and get them ready for next week!! And I also noticed that alot of these items were included in the Game Day mega that was in Feb. Its great to stock up on things like shredded cheese!

    • Sunshyne

I have a question about the Kraft Catalina deal. If your store is participating, is it advertised in the ad just like the rest of the stuff, or is just a “surprise”? I didn't see it on any of the Kraft products in my store in Cookeville, TN last week so I was afraid to try it and it wasn't advertised in their ad last week or this week.

      • Fgavent

Remember the Kraft Catalina was to end today, 3/15. I didn't see it on any of the Kraft products but I purchased $20 before coupons and it printed.

        • Live2coupon

my area doesn't get the Kraft Catalina with the mega event, but happy for everyone that could get a great deal. Jenny is wonderful.

        • Sunshyne

Thanks everyone. I saw today that it was to end today (that is if it was in my store – still not sure) Guess I missed out on it this time :( Oh well, guess you can't catch them all :)

      • Lisabluedevil

It wasn't advertised in my area, but I tried it and it worked so I have $5 to apply to my trip this week.

    • DebTN

My Kroger is still allowing e-coupons combined with paper coupons. I'm so happy! Today I got 2 old spice high endurance deodorants, sale price $1.99 each ($3.98). Had 2 paper coupons $1.00 each and e-coupon for $1.00. Final price for 2 = 98 cents. Yeehaw!

    • Live2coupon

WILL WE HAVE CLOSEOUTS AND UNADVERTISED DEALS SINCE WE ARE HAVE THE MEGA EVENT?

    • mom2cmw

Is there anyone in the Memphis, TN area that knows of a Kroger that's still allowing ecoupons and mfg coupons to be stacked? Thanks.

      • Stacyheffington

The Olive Branch Kroger does! And I believe the Kroger in Collierville on Houston Levee too.

        • mom2cmw

Thanks so much! I thought I was gonna pass out when I found out I couldn't stack at my local Oakland Kroger any longer. Oh well…..Collierville here I come! lol

          • Stacyheffington

I like the one on Houston Levee better than the Byhalia one. I have had problems with the Byhalia Rd one taking coupons almost every time I've been in there! The one in Olive Branch ROCKS!

      • Lorriecartwright

I did it yesterday in Collierville. They stacked ecoupon with manufacturer coupon.

    • Sarah

When does the Kraft catalina deal end? The catalina page says 3/16-3/15 which appears to be a typo.

      • Nevrsaydie1988

        i believe it was 3/06 – 3/15

    • April

I just learned at my Kroger (McDonough, GA) tonight that if you have an ecoupon, you cannot use any other paper coupons. This is the first time this has happened. I have stacked them in the past. I really don't have a problem not being able to stack them since they are both mfg Qs. However, I do have a problem with not being able to use mfg Qs for additional items that the ecoupon did not apply to. I bought 2 Philly Cooking Creams. The ecoupon only applied to 1 of them and they would not let me use a mfg Q for the 2nd one. The cashier called a manager who told her to try to over ride it but the computer wouldn't let her. Also, I noticed on my receipt that when a $0.50 Q doubled, it only doubled for $0.49 because the item was $0.99. So, I guess there won't be anymore money makers at Kroger either. I was also told that they only accept 2 identical IP Qs. I had 3 and was only able to use 2 of them. This is the first time any of this has happened at my Kroger.

      • june

They just started enforcing in NE Indiana, too. I don't have a problem with it, even after 2 years of not enforcing. I do wish they would reprogram their computers to remove the ecoupon if a paper coupon is scanned. ARE YOU READING THIS KROGER!?! lol ;)

        • Emmyab

i also lie in NE indiana and haen not had any problems

      • Sarahmarah

This has recently happened to me too. (LaGrange, Ga). It is so frustrating to me. Instead of saving $8 on the “ecoupon” items I only saved $2.40 on those items.

I have always been a very loyal Kroger shopper, but I haven't been able to get over the frustration and decided to try out the Publix next door. Which I might add, has great coupon policies!

    • luv2shop

The Kroger game is easy and profitable. Played 2 times and won a free body wash and a Jello dessert kit. Gotta love free!

      • Lisabluedevil

I've played twice and haven't won anything. Maybe my luck will improve tomorrow.

        • Sknygurl022002

What kroger game are you all talking about?

          • Pepsi1williams

Go to kroger march to savings and you play a basket ball game but i have not won yet good luck

    • Amy112481

How do you get the california pizza kitchen coupon from the facebook page?

    • My Kroger allows stacking of paper and ecoupons. I used the B1G1 Old Spice coupon, and had $1/1 ecoupons for both items, which came off of the free item as well. So since the deodorant was $1.99 and I got two $1 ecoupons off of my total, both items are free.

      • Tdfrazer

I did the same, but also used a $1 off 2 old spice items, so I made a dollar!

        • Hfuller

So you are allowed to use that many coupons on the same items. Let me get this straight, you used a b1g1, 2 $1off, plus, $1 off 2 and it worked?

          • cScrapbook

            I did the same thing!

    • Amyp

How can I print the pizza coupon from the facebook page?

      • Kenzbug

You probably have to “Like” their page first.

    • Sherry_scott_1975

Jenny,Thank you for your hard work. Do you have the closeout and unadvertised items available?

    • Courtneycrowder

Our sale started this morning, here in Houston, TX. Most of the items are .10-.20 higher than these prices. A good deal when matched with coupons, but no free items..

      • Nevrsaydie1988

in Beaumont (1.5 hrs SE of you) prices are lower than most posted here (ex-$1.49 Kraft singles).. and Dowlen Rd. store is really coupon friendly!

        • Mel

Found someone from my area on here. Those are the stores I use.

      • Amy T

I'm in Indiana and I find that our prices are just a bit higher too.

    • Roxy_rachel_84

Does anyone know if it says in the Kroger coupon policy that you cannot use a printed coupon that is more than $1 off. I've been told this at my store, but I want to use the $5 off Smart Ones and want to know for sure before I try it. Thanks

      • Kenzbug

I haven't heard of that. I would call back and check, maybe somebody didn't know what they were talking about. I have 1 grocery store around here (not Kroger, love them) I have to take a copy of the coupon policy with me. Nobody at that store knows the policy right on up to the Manager. I have had to contact their Regional office twice in the last month over printable coupons. I really think all of us here could give these stores a lesson in coupons.

      • cScrapbook

When I asked via the website, they said that I'd have to check with my individual store for their policy. They don't even post it on the website because they vary so widely (I presume.)

    • Kenzbug

Does anybody know of any Kroger in Macon, GA that is allowing stacking of coupons?

    • Babebrown5215

Kroger in Carrollton only allows 3 like coupons at time on items ugh!! but it works. Also the hershey minis are not on sale here they are 2.99 reg price

      • Jules

Mine were marked 2.99 in the store in TN and when I checked out the correct price was there. I noticed that in three stores here so far. Might not hurt to scan one and see if it has a plus sign.

    • Stacyheffington

I have called myself reading through all the comments…but couldn't find any info on the nestle water coupons. Anybody else have trouble finding them?

    • Someone may have already mentioned this, but just in case:

I got $ 1.50 Catalinas from buying 2 of the Annie's Natural Dressings. (Well, I bought 10 of them so I got 5 Catalinas)

That makes them $ .75 each!!!

    • Sarah

I am still new to this, and can't find the answer so far… If I do the mega event, and buy, say, 12 Smart Ones for one purchase, I would get my $5 off. If my next purchase is another mega deal order, with at least 10 of the items, would I be able to use my $5 off and STILL get another $5 off coupon at the end? Thanks!

      • biskit0323

This Mega Deal doesn't work like the last one. With this Mega Deal, you get $5 off total. It will come off at the end like a coupon. You don't actually get a coupon. The prices Jenny has listed are after the $5. For example…..the Philadelphia Cooking Creme is $2.49. Basically when you buy 10 items, it is like it takes 50 cents off of each item, so she has the Philadelphia Cooking Creme listed as $1.99 (the price after deal). HTH!

        • Sarah

Oh, thanks! I didn't realize that. I'm trying to figure out if I need to break up orders, since I will be buying more than 10 of the items. Thanks!

          • biskit0323

No, you can do it all in one trans. Every 10 participating items, it will automatically take off $5. :)

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many groups of ten you can do? I know I have done two in one transaction before but I know I will have mabye 3 or 4 this time.

      • Mommyharrod

        I did 4 today all in one-40 items :)

      • Bevinandesty

I did 5 today and did not have a problem with it. I'm in henry county is georgia…

Does anyone know if the Ronzoni, Creamette, or Skinner quick cook pasta coupon works on the normal Creamette pasta?

      • Megortiz63

Yes, I had cooked some a few days ago – its cooks faster, the pasta is thinner? I think – but it tastes just fine!

    • Eharris1975

I had an extremely frustrating experience this evening at the Kroger NC. I was super excited to be able to buy Smart Ones (24) as well as some pasta and various other items (30 total). I spent a lot of time in the store making sure I got everything I needed and then went to check out and was told that nope they didn't accept printed coupons and therefore would not take my weight watchers or chip dip coupons. I expressed that I didn't want any of the items and left empty handed. The cashier was extremely rude and yelled at us when we asked for her name (it was the self checkout because there were NO lanes open in the store).

I reviewed their policy when I got home (trust me I'll print it now) which clearly states that they take printed coupons and actually partnered w/ an online couponing site.

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but this is my 3rd disappointing trip w/ Kroger where things were done against their own policy. Sadly I used to be their biggest advocate and now I think I might be done :/

Best part, I had driven out of my way to go to Kroger (and seriously passed 3 Harris Teeters on the way) and needed gas afterwards, but alas the Kroger gas station was closed.

      • Reneebmomof3

I am in NC too and have had a couple little issues with Kroger as well. I emailed them this past week for clarification on a few things and the response email (which was attached to their coupon policy) states that each store's managers have the right to make thier own decisions regarding coupons. For example, in Garner, NC that manager will only allow four “like” coupons per transaction and only two “like” internet printables per transaction! But in Fuquay Varina I have used numerous “like” coupons in one transaction and have never had any problems! HTH!

    • guest

I'm not familiar with Kroger's coupon policy. Does anyone know if the Kroger in Atlanta on Piedmont Road doubles coupons which are valued below 50 cents?? Thanks for everyones help! Love this site!

      • erin

I live in Atlanta and every Atlanta Kroger I've been to has doubled coupons that are 50 cents and less… I'd be surprised if that store were any different. Are you talking about super nice Kroger on Piedmont near Lenox Rd? I wish I lived closer to that store – hands down the nicest Kroger in all of Atlanta.

        • guest

Thanks Erin!! Yes, the one near Lenox Road. It is very nice, but I wish they accepted competitor coupons. ;-)

    • kimzilla

The California Pizza Kitchen facebook page says the coupon is no longer available to print.

    • angiej

my kroger had 1.50 off peelies on chicken tenders and breast if you bought cooking cream cheese spread.. so i got cheap chicken and along with the cheese spread.

Great Kroger trip today! I purchased $209.16 for $1.87! The Vitamin Water and Smart Water will come in handy for our son's baseball teams. All of my family and the local food bank will appreciate all of the pasta! Thank you Jenny for helping so many people!

      • couponmonster

wow, that's amazing..how did you do this….I've never gotten close to that!

    • MD

Got a great catalina coupon for buying four boxes of Post Selects great grain cereal last night: $3.00 off next order WYB four (4), and I think $2.00 off next order WYB (3), and $1.00 of next order WYB two (2).

I believe it said the deal runs through 3/20/11. Pretty good price on this cereal with mega event. I love this cereal!

    • KellieTX

Just got home from Kroger, did pretty well! They had Cortaid anti-itch cream on close out for $2.69 and there was a $2 off tear pad right in front of the Cortaid. Dial hand soap is still 10/$10, with my $.35 coupon got a few for FREE. Gillette bodywash is $3.00 and used $2.00 off coupon. Some bandaid products marked at close out for $1.69 so is pretty cheap with the $.50 coupon. Motrin PM is included in mega deal for $2.49-$2.00 motrin coupon makes it $.49! Catalina's that printed:

      $1.50 off any Stayfree product
      $2.00 off any Cortaid product
      (2) $3.00 off gillette deo. (which is on sale for $3) (I will use this in conjuction with the buy any gillette deo. and get a FREE gillette bodywash)

My Kroger DID NOT allow for ecoupons and paper coupons combined. I had 2 items I did not purchase because of this. I guess it is better to unload your coupons…

    • Shavon

My Kroger had closeouts on childen's Neosporene and also on Band-aid ….so I was able to use my e-coupon and paper coupon to stock up on these!! Just a heads up!! They had them on closeout for around $1.30 or so.

    • sharon60

NEVERMIND THIS, I wasn't looking at the loaded items….DUH!

DEAL OF THE DAY question. I purchased 3 items this morning and only one came off. I called the ecoupon number and they took the 2 items off my card and added $7 credit that will come off the next time I shop. She said I'd be able to see the $7 credit but I can't. Did this happen to anybody else and did it come off when you went back to the store? Were you able to view the credit? thx

      • Drjillmiller

I have not had that exact scenario happen to me, but I was once given a credit for a RX. The next time I went through the checkout line, the cashier asked me if I wanted my credit applied to that day's total. I could never see the credit myself, but it was there.

      • Michelle

What is the ecoupon # you called? I called 800-KROGER and they just logged my issue and said someone would email be back, as to why the coupon didn't come off.

        • sharon60

888-553-3003 is the e-coupon desk. You will need your receipt, your plus card

number and to be able to give them the UPC codes of the items that didn't come

off your card. They will load the dollar amount onto your card. It worked for

me b/c I went back tonight and the money came off without a hitch.

          ________________________________

      • jhoran

You might be able to see it on the kroger site, since you can view all your downloaded coupons there.

        • sharon60

I was mistaken when I posted this. I logged into e-coupons, but was on the

“load coupons” page instead of “view coupons”. It was there and I used it last

          night.

Watch out with that Smart Start Pasta!

We purchased several boxes today using coupons, only to arrive home and find out that some of of the boxes of pasta them were expired AND had bugs in them!!!!

This is the second time we've purchased pasta at Kroger only to get home and find bugs in it. (The first was over a year ago.) I think I'm done purchasing pasta at Kroger. YUCK!

      • Bee

Is it different brands or just that brand?

        • Amber

Nope, last time it was Kroger Brand Pasta.

      • Bee

I just went and checked all 10 boxes I just bought. The earliest expiration date is Sept 2012.

    • Braylynnis

Finally making it to Kroger tomorrow! How exactly does the Kraft $5 CAT work, do they go buy the sale price BEFORE or after the Mega Sale deducts. My plan was to buy many Capri Suns or Koolaid Jammers but not sure which price to base it on??

      • jhoran

Promotion for Kraft ended March 15.

    • gjf

Just an F.Y.I. there is a ecpn on kroger.com for .75 off the phildelphia cooking cream cheese:) Makes it FREE!

    • Kabie1225

I bought 5 Dole fruit Crisp 2 ct.I received a 75 cent catalina. Woo Hoo

Have a question about Get $5 off your next purchase WYB $20 in participating Kraft products. Can you us that $5 on anything or just kraft products?

      • Kristan

You can use it towards anything on your next purchase. It's like a coupon :)

    • Nicole

I bought $20 worth of Kraft cheese and did not receive my $5 off Catalina at the end. Has that catalina deal expired! Knoxville,TN

Had a good trip at Kroger yesterday….spent $88, saved $50 between the Mega Event deals, coupons, and sale prices. Not bad considering I had to buy some things that weren't on sale and didn't have Qs available.

I also wanted to share with anyone who lives in Henry County, GA, that the store on Hwy. 138 (which is quite nice) allows you to use e-coupons with paper coupons. One of the associates said that she takes advantage of this “glitch” herself! I got several items for next to nothing yesterday using e-coupons and paper Qs. Awesome!

    • ere

Just went to kroger and got my B1G1 Right Guard 2 for $2.19. Only had 2 coupons. Where can I get more?

      • Madhatter31

Walgreens has them B1G1 free this week. If you combine it with a B1G1 coupon, they are both free!

      • Hollienoelle

You can order them from a clipping service, or head to your local recycling center to see if they'll let you sift through some newspapers… though if you get more I suggest using them at walgreens today instead of kroger… they're b1g1 free at wags so you end up getting 2 completely free instead of $1.09 a stick.

    • Hgoodkind

Watch out for the Ronzoni Healthy Harvest. My store (Douglas Rd in Alpharetta, GA) had the lasagna noodles on the end cap display, but it did not ring up for the mega event. I only had 10 items (9 after this happened,) so it cost me $5 for the mega, plus the pasta rang up full price instead of the sale price. Total lost $6.60. Didn't catch it until I got home since I bought a bunch of meat. Called the store and they said basically it's my fault as lasagna noodles are not one of the “selected varieties.” I'm done with Kroger — they can keep their mega events (this is NOT the first time this has happened.) Publix all the way.

      • karen

Go return all your items and re-purchase them.

      • Jennifer

Yup, go back and go to customer service. Mine will let me purchase one more mega item to get the $5 for the mega event.

    • Carol

Is the Mega Event going on next week too?

      • pdsmama

This is week one of the Mega deal- they run 2 weeks at a time.
You can check the end date of a sale on the yellow tag at the store.

      • Amy

Also, the sales paper for GA is already online at Kroger's website, looks like all the same mega items are still on sale, but the regular sale items may have changed a little.

    • radiomom

Does anyone know if this week's Mega deals continue into next week?

    • luv2shop

I did Kroger tonight and it was one of my best trips ever and I did not make any grand plans. In fact, I only looked at the blogs about an hour before I got to the store. I started with $17.55 and only paid $4.50. I got CHEAP tuna, Chex mix, hot sauce and mustard and FREE pasta, protein bars and dip. Best moment was when I walked into the house with my bags while DH was looking for a snack and he asked if we had any dip aound here (to go with the chips I bought earlier this week with a coupon). I whipped out my container and said “Here you go, sweetie!” And it was absolutely F R E E …. Free! Thanks Jenny!

    • Shinne6

great kroger trip for me this week!!! $166 for $57!!! I am very happy!

    • faith

Can anyone mail me a kroger coupon box if I pay for shipping. Please

      • faith

or I can share coupons. I don't have a baby so willing to send diaper coupon to you if needed.
