If you frequent McDonalds, there is a deal for you on Living Social today! You’ll get 5 big macs & 5 large fries for $13 (normally $26). This will come as a voucher booklet with 10 separate tear-away sheets to use.

***To see the complete list of dining coupons and deals go here.***

There is a limit of one big mac and one large fry voucher per store visit per customer.  The vouchers are only valid at participating McDonald’s locations and do not expire.

This deal is going fast though so go ahead and get yours if you want it!

where can you find which mcdonalds are participating?

      • Afflofh

Hard to say.  Some do and dome don’t participate.  the one right around the corner from me does not.  The one near my job does.  the only way to find out is to try and present them.  What a bummer.

        • Christoph

I used one of each coupon at my local McDonalds and they charged me $3.10. According to them these coupons are only for $2.50 off. What a waste of $13.

          • elise

I had the same thing happen to me today.  I just complained a bit and as I was on my way out, the person who told me it was only a discount said he “talked to someone who said he rung it up wrong” or something, but he refunded me $2.50.  If you’re charged any amount over $2.60 for these, then you’ve gotten zero deal and are actually paying more for the items.  I also complained to LivingSocial (before I got the refund) because the instructions page that that particular McD’s had told them it was just a discount coupon.

            • Mstik1968

I was also told today at the Coldwater, MI McDonalds that nowhere on the coupon does it say “FREE” it is just a discount coupon. I don’t know how they calculated it, but I paid $2.65 for a FREE BIG MAC and FREE LG FRIES. It was a manager who did the transaction, so I just figured I would have to take this up with LIving Social. However, last week at McD’s in Battle Creek, MI I got the Big Mac and Lg. fries totally free using the coupons.   (????) Uggh.

Contact McD’s regional, corporate (866- 919 – 2653), LivingSocial, and your state’s department of consumer protection. You should get a refund of at least what you’ve paid.

            • Mstik1968

RESOLVED! I read the following on the LIving Social FAQ’s  “For further questions regarding your voucher booklet, please reach out to McDonald’s directly at 866- 919 – 2653”. They are getting thousands of complaints of McD’s charging for these FREE coupons. I got a sincere apology from corporate, a letter from the Store Manager of the McD’s that charged me AND a $5 arch card. They encourage you to file a complaint so the staff can be informed. I went back to the same McD’s 2 days later and they are NOW on the right program. I paid 15 cents for tax on my 2 free items.

          • Shechrissy

I bought these, also. First time I took it to my local McDonald’s (in Columbus, Wisconsin), the manager insisted that the certificate was only for a discount, and they were charging customers $1.50 for the Big Mac and $1.00 for the large fries. I informed her that was wrong, they shouldn’t be charging customer, and that I would be contacting the regional manager. The second day I attempted to use these at the same location, a different manager said the same thing, and they actually had items saying “Living Social Big Mac” on the screen/receipt, and attempted to charge me for the Big Mac and fries.

I’ve filed a complain with our state’s consumer protection agency. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

Nowhere on the LivingSocial website OR the vouchers does it say customers will be charged an additional fee on top of what we initially paid for the certificates.

            Bad, McDonald’s. Bad!

this is a good deal wish they had it in chatsworth ga

    • AmyD

Is there anyway to find out what McDonalds will take the vouchers other than calling them?

    • fletchtr

This sounds like a great deal.  However, I don’t know which McDonalds are participating.

      • Afflofh

So McDonald’s participate and some done.  I was turned down today at my local store.  I used it the other day at another McDonald.  I guess it just depends.  I now have to go to that McDonald’s all the time to use the coupons.  No more living social coupons for me.

    • Jenniferk46

I purchased one…I just hope they are good where I live in TN

    • Wow that’s an incredible deal.  Good thing it doesn’t expire since 5 Big macs in one day is a lot to take down.

      • my buddy’s ex-wife makes $69 hourly on the internet. She has been without a job for 9 months but last month her income was $8763 just working on the internet for a few hours. Read more on this site… MakeCash11.com

I got concerned because the website to purchase does not have the secure lock symbol to make sure my credit card info was secure.  I backed out because of that.  Also, what Mcdonalds participate?  Too risky for me.

      • Beauty4one

Lana, The lock symbol is there.

      • Jameson

Lana, living social processes 1000’s of payments a day.  They are a great website.

      • CouponingMommy

Try a different browser.  IE or Firefox are the 2 safest secure browsers.  Chrome isn’t very secure.

    • Hazelgolden77

Pretty disappointing that Living Social would offer such an unhealthy deal.

      • Lonestar9

Simple…don’t buy it, and those who want to buy it, can.

    • Beauty4one

Any restaurant coupon you use will state “Good at participating locations”, unless it specifically states a location. I have never attempted to use a restaurant coupon and have been refused. If the coupon is legit you won’t have a problem.

    • Beckysouthaven

It says National on the deal so I would think anywhere in the USA

      • Afflofh

Although is says one thing it does not mean that.  I just came from McDonald’s today and they turned me down.  They said that they do not honor this coupon because it was not their’s.  Only two locations honor these in my area.  Laurel and another place.   Be ware.

    • Leny

      I purchased one this morning!

    • Cathycm195

The fast food industry is very slow in Dec. That’s probably why we can get this deal. I also heard that is why Subway is supposedly offering $2.00 subs.

      • Gintay23

Its true!  Its on the Subway FB page today.  They are the 6 inch meatball or a cold cut.

    • Fakeemailproblems

So many fat lazy people can get unhealthy cheaper.

    • Leah

Good idea for this deal…A friend bought one today and plans on putting it in her car so if she sees someone in need, she will have a free Big Mac and Fry to give them.  Thought that was a great use of this deal and wanted to pass it on!

    • Marcia

I tried to use these coupons yesterday and was charged.  I refused to pay and ask for the coupons back and they could just rering it the normal amount.  They gave us the Big Macs for free (didn’t want to rering them).  I am calling the McDonalds number and telling them to let my local McDonald know that the coupons mean free.  Thanks for posting the number.

    • Tonya

It isn’t even free. This has been a super frustrating experience. I’m going to call Living Social as well. Thanks to those who posted the McDonald phone number. It will take several calls on my end to take care of this.  So not worth a 1/2 off Big Mac.
