Armadillo

Looking for a new stroller?  I’ve owned a stroller or two, not to say I’m expert but… Any mama whose tried to collapse a stroller with a baby on your hip and a sippy cup in your hand knows that some features are very important.  I have a vivid memory of friends that helped up shop for our first twin stroller.  The husband took the stroller, held onto the handle and threw it.  “If it doesn’t work one handed, you don’t want it”.  Thankfully for him and store owner it opened perfectly.

With that in mind, I was thrilled to hear of a new stroller to the market in the US designed by parents for parents.  Mamas & Papas is a big baby brand in Great Britain that is moving across the pond.

The Mamas & Papas Armadillo stroller was inspired by the sturdy and collapsible animal.  This no-nonsense stroller is light and practical with a large, lie-flat seat designed to give baby extra wiggle room. Armadillo adds simplicity to everyday strolling with an inward, no-fuss fold that allows you to fold the stroller in just seconds with one hand. An adjustable leg rest makes for optimal comfort during nap time, while the XL removable hood canopy provides maximum protection in any type of weather.  The stroller even features a five point safety harness, all round suspension and swivel wheels, and a flip-flop friendly brake for easy stop and go.

It has many additional features that benefit parents and baby, including a large shopping basket, easy carry handle, peek-a-boo window, puncture resistant tires, and an automatic lock for when the stroller is folded. The Armadillo is car seat compatible with the Aton, Maxi Cosi Cabrio Fix, Maxi Cosi Pebble, and Chicco Key Fit 30.

I will agree with others that lightweight seems to be the most important. Even if it’s not the most agile I can shove a lighter stroller much more easily and lifting can be quite taxing!

      Ease of use!

    • Angela Carver Dryden

      Easy to use!!

    • Alice

The most important thing in a stroller to me is ease of use and functionality. Being a mom of three, I know how hard it is to juggle kids, bags, cups, etc and having a stroller that is easy to use at least takes one stress away!

    • gamego71

Easy to use and love the look!

    • TowBoysMamma

The most important feature in a stroller for me is safety! I have bought plenty of cheap strollers, only to have them fall apart and/or harm my child. I had one collapse with a carrier in it! Thankfully, we were in a crowded mall and a bystander grabbed my baby before he hit the ground. SCARY!

    • ease of use!!

    • Rebecca Smith

Comfort for baby, ease of use for me! I bought one with 2 separate handles before I knew… you could not steer that thing with one hand. Half the time I was holding baby and pushing an empty stroller that wouldn’t even roll straight!

    • Kimberly

Lightweight and easy to steer but comfortable for baby. I am excited about this giveaway because I really do need a new stroller, I have been using one that is 4 years old and it is falling apart and starting to rust. I passed it down from one kid to the next but I think its time to get rid of it!

    • Brittany

I’ll be a first time mom come this September so I haven’t bought a stroller before but aside from safety I think the next thing on my list would be one thats easy to use and rolls nice.

    • Grace Mallis

Im expecting my first baby in July, so I am just learning about all the different types of features in a stroller. I definitely need one that collapses easily since I drive a Ford Fusion and cannot afford a SUV or Minivan anytime soon!

    • Elizabeth E

I need to be able to lift it into my car!

    • naenae248

I love that’s it’s so simple and compact

    • The most important feature in a stroller to me (next to safety) is the comfort of the child while riding in it. It needs to be enjoyable for the baby and for me in order to get the most use of it.

    • Michal

Because I am about to become a first-time mommy the no-fuss fold is an exciting feature to me :)

    • stephanie hansen

It has to be compact when folded. I hate when strollers take up the entire trunk. And it has to be compatible with an infant seat. I hate putting newborns right into the stroller.

    • Lindsey Coplin

      Lightweight and easy to push!

    • kassi

as a first time mom.. I appreciate a simple design I can manage with just one hand, that is lightweight and doesn’t take up all of my trunk space!
