I’ve had my own TENS unit for the past 21 years after having two back surgeries when I was younger.  21 years ago they cost crazy amounts of money and I rejoiced when my insurance paid for it.  Now they are cheaper than pain meds!

If you have muscle or nerve pain a TENS unit is definitely worth a try.  For a non-medical description it basically stimulates the nerve receptors blocking them from transmitting pain signals.  I will tell you it works!  When things flair up I can wear it and be pain free without taking any pain meds.
