While it is no means fall around these parts (still feels like summer to me!), September is the month that sort of kicks off the autumn season for most people. Companies start releasing fall-inspired lattes, candles that smell like leaves and cinnamon, and menus spotted with pumpkin this and pumpkin that.

I thought it might be fun to gather up some recipes that remind me of fall, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to be eating super-hot soups or heavy desserts. I want to celebrate the beginning of the season with the rest of the country, but I’m not sure that we need to start eating big bowls of piping hot chili or wrapping up in scarves and boots just yet…
