Save money on meat by trying out some of these easy meatless meals!

Meat prices are crazy right now! Beef prices are super high and, as a result of people trying to cut down on that, chicken prices are rising as well. You can see that just by looking at stores’ weekly ads; the sale prices on meats are way more than we are used to paying.

So, what can we do? Well, one thing we can do is to eat less of it. There are tons of meatless recipes out there that will leave you feeling just as full as if you were eating a meal packed with meat. You certainly, however, don’t have to become a vegetarian. Start out by trying to eat a meatless meal one night a week (Meatless Monday, perhaps?). If you like it, try some more.

The prices listed are based on an average price of what’s on sale this week at various stores and are subject to change weekly.

I make Lasagna 2 or 3 times a month using Prego Flavored with Meat sauce and lot of cheese. I serve it with garlic bread and a green salad. I always stock up on cheese when every it’s B2G3 free at HT.
It’s makes for a meal that my family loves with leftovers for lunch the next day.

At this time of year, we eat salads about twice a week. We also load up baked potatoes with lots of veggies. When we do eat meat, we have cut back considerably on the amount. We make 2 to 3 servings out of one chicken breast, split a pork chop and split steaks and fill up on veggies and/or rice.
