    • vgwagoner

Publix has corn on sale for 10 ears for 1.49 making them about 15 cents each. We had some on the grill tonight and it was delish – headed back tomorrow for some more.

Anyone know how to buy it fresh and cheap now and freeze for later? Should I could and then de-core or de-core, freeze and cook later?

      • Foxfunds

I like to leave remove the husks and silks, but leave them on the cob, using a veggie peeler peel off thin sheets of butter to put on the corn. Freeze in a food saver bag – removing all of the air. When you are ready to cook them, just put the whole bag in boiling water for about 15-20 – depending on how done you like your corn. It will be buttered and still have that fresh taste in the middle of winter – yummy!

      • Couponmama33

I keep some on the cob and I cut some of it off the cob. I always blanch it boiling water for 4 minutes and immediately put in ice water and then freeze. It has stayed fresh anad in the middle of winter its the best…teh kids love it!

      • Kelhyder

I like to open the ends of the husks a little and put them in the microwave! 4 ears in about 8 minutes. Its awesome! Take the husks off after you take them out of the microwave.

I don't see pampers wipes on sale in the Kroger ad, and I didn't see them on the shelf….what's the secret to getting them for .19? BTW, what's the rule on the peel coupon…should you be able to stack it with another MC? Also, when a coupon says $1 off of 2 items, can you use 2 coupons, or only 1 coupon for the 2 items?
