nerf super soaker review, nerf super soakers

Summer is here and making itself known with some intense heat. Thankfully, Hasbro has sent us some amazing Nerf Super Soakers to help cool off while having an amazing time. We received two cool soakers, the Tri Strike Crossbow and the Rebelle Dolphina Bow. My kids have had a blast running around having fun in the sun with these! We’ve already put them to good use!

crossbow

Tri Strike Crossbow

The Tri Strike Crossbow is powerful! It can shoot up to 38 feet away and holds 40 fluid ounces. 40 ounces is way more than your standard Super Soaker. Having to stop and refill the soaker is always pain and this extra big water tank is perfect for carrying out longer battles in the yard. The Tri Strike has a secret though. Press a button and 2 extra arms deploy from the side of the soaker for maximum coverage! This is great for close quarters super soaking. This feature adds a fun twist to your standard soaker and gives you options to plan your attack. Try and take the enemy out from far away using the single, power stream or come at them full force with the arms deployed?!

bow blaster

Rebella Dolphina

The Rebelle Dolphina is one stylish Super Soaker. The soaker is shaped like a bow and arrow with feathers coming out from both sides. The Rebelle series of soakers is geared more for girls. With a beautiful pink and turquoise colorway the Dolphina looks awesome, but does it hold its weight in battle? For the most part, yes. The tank holds 25 ounces of water, and while its not 40 like the Tri Strike, it still is respectable for its size. The bow and arrow feel makes the Dolphina easy to aim and take out the competition. It only has a distance about 12 feet so be careful when getting close to other soakers! My little girls seemed to prefer this soaker due to the colors and design.

Overall we are very pleased with our Super Soaker experience! The Soakers work great and always provide us with a fun, family friendly time out in the yard. We look forward to getting more use out of these as the summer continues to heat up. Happy Soaking!

It has to hold a lot of water! Our street has a very special tradition, so super soakers are dear to me. Every year, on the last day of school, all the parents wait at the bus stop for the kids to get off the bus and then we blast them with water! They talk about for weeks to come and it’s hilarious because we can hear their screams of anticipation as they drive up the street. We have a water war, enjoy ice pops and celebrate another school year done.

    • Jennifer walker

Holding large amounts of water and distance is what I prefer in a water gun.

    • Cheryl

Among my grandchildren, distance is the key in a water fight. The age ranges are so great that it isn’t fair to the younger ones if they don’t have some distance.

    • colleen

This sounds like a great toy! My son is little, so he prefers distance to keep up with his big sister. Having the power to spray far is a big plus

I love a water gun that can shoot long distances… Believe it or not, they are handy for killing the red paper wasps that make nests on the porch roof (I live in SC) just add some soap and squirt from a safe distance to take them out! But I wouldn’t use these nice nerf ones for that :)

    • Phillip Jenny Martin

One that shoots water. Heavy duty, distance, holds a lot of water, those are all good bonuses but my kids could have a blast with a cup of water and some straws. They are really great kids!

    • Brandy

One would be that it holds a good amount of water but my most important feature would have to be that it is easy enough to pull the trigger. A lot of times my little man has a hard time with the force that it needed for a lot of the water guns.
