Cellfire released a whole new batch of eCoupons for anyone shopping at Kroger or Kroger affiliate stores. Your card can hold a ton of coupons, so you might as well load any you think you’ll use.  These are good fro 30 days but you have to load them before 4/04.

Remember: eCoupons do not double and only apply to one item (in other words if you buy 10 it will only come off once).

Kroger has also made it to where you can't use an eCoupon and a paper coupon for the same item. Even if the eCoupon saves you less than the paper coupon. So now you have to micromanage your digital coupons to make sure you are using the coupon that saves you the most.

    • mecrn1

Mine didn't work together for the first time today. I'm not planning on loading any coupons on my card unless there aren't paper coupons for that item. I know on the Kroger site you can remove ecoupons. Not sure about cellfire. This makes me much less of a Kroger shopper and way more a Publix gal :)

      • jade65

I don't know where you shop, but, at my Kroger and Publix it seems as if you use coupons you are pegged as a PROBLEM!!!

        • Donnatn30

so sad!! Ours welcome us! Try to find the right cashiers………no old ladies!! They think that they need to “protect” the company from our wicked schemes…….

          • Rebecca

I totally agree. It's so sad that one must “profile” to get the good deals. I have a lot less trouble when I do, though.

          • Jenn

It is sad because welcomes us too! I love my Kroger because they never give me a hard time about using both q's. My Publix is what gives me such a hard time. Sorry you guys are having such trouble with Kroger! I always use the same 2 guys as cashiers too… definitely no old ladies!

    • Orangecouponlady

I'm with the ladies on here, what's the point of loading them when they won't let me use both an ecoupon and a paper coupon anymore? My cashier said it was because of the Extreme Couponing show. The manufacturer's realized they are double compensating Krogers…..don't know if that's true, but I'm sad anyway.

      • SwiftTheRedFox

        Hey I ain't no lady! :)

      • Bewkie

I think the “point” of ecoupons is so one doesn't hassle with clipping/forgetting coupons. I know it was nice being able to double dip but it was only a matter of time before Kroger was able to fix the “loop hole”. Just because it worked before doesn't mean it was their Policy….they just had not put a stop to it yet. If you want to use your paper coupon instead of an ecoupon just have the cashier redeem the paper coupon BEFORE scanning your shopper's card….this should block the ecoupon from being used and it will remain on your card for a future purchase.

        • Bewkie

Just want to add that this is only my opinion and does not reflect the view of Kroger

    • Bee

I added a couple because the Budweiser barbecue sauce is good–cellfire coupon is B1G1. I also wanted to try some of the Jelly Belly ice cream topping. But as far as those low level coupons, no thanks.

At one time, on this site, Jenny had explained that they didn't want to force our hand on choosing paper or digital, which is why they didn't discourage stacking.

I did pull a lot of e-coupons off my Kroger card.

    • TJ

It's official Kroger's in the Louisville, KY area no longer accepts manufacturer coupons along with your coupons you have loaded to your Kroger Plus Card. This is a bummer because some things are just entirely too high to buy without being able to use both.

    • Kenziesfunluvinfam

The Kroger in Athens, Ga has also stopped allowing ecoupons and paper coupons :-(

    • Jah

Maybe if enough of us call (1-800-KROGERS) or email (use the “Help” link on Kroger.com and click “Contact Us”) corporate to complain (nicely) we can get the policy changed. It works! Just ask OneMillionMoms. If there is something about a corporate policy they don't like, they spread the word to call or write in to corporate and get it changed. There is power in numbers. If that doesn't work, boycotting the ecoupons might get their attention.

    • Lori_yarb25

I sent an email on http://www.kroger.com. I wish I had a publix near me. Atleast the still double paper coupons. That is the only thing going for them now. Just being notified would have been the better route.

    • Rachael_Marty

I had the same problem today…however it only kicked out my printed coupons but it let an coupon and a mfg coupon out of the Sunday paper go through together!? Weird! I will probably stop loading digital now too because the paper double!

    • Lori_yarb25

They really should have notified us…I spent alot of time giving them items back that I knew I had paper coupon worth more value. Now I am removing them from my card.

      • Lkelley

I agree with you Rachael. I am going to stop loading coupons to my card, especially the ones that will double as a paper coupon. Just one more way to keep us from saving as much… oh well… take the punches and roll with tha flow!

    • Kenziesfunluvinfam

I agree! I think that they could have notified us. I am planning on sending an email to Kroger about this new policy. Now you are better off to shop at Publix. They will at least take 2 different coupons for an item. I think Kroger is making a BIG mistake by doing this! Let s all write in and maybe they will change it.

    • Angelas001

They should AT LEAST double the ecoupons too. They must be aiming their ecoupons at 'normal' shoppers, not those of us that take a lot of time to save every possibly penny.
I've tried to delete some from my card, but couldn't! So then what, I can't buy it without my plus card b/c then I won't even get the sale price. Guess I'll have to buy it elsewhere (Tide).

      • Dar11preis

Just get a “spare” card and use it until the ecoupons expire. That is what I plan to do. HTH

    • Mlaurie406

Well, there will still be deals to be had, so I will still be shopping there, but I'll be doing all of my 'main' grocery shopping at Meijer (no Publix here!) as of tomorrow. I understand that they really shouldn't accept both (but I will miss it!!), however, I just don't have the time to micro-manage all of my coupons to make sure I have the right ecoupons and the right paper coupons….that on top of hoping that the e-coupons actually come off!!

    • Nikita

I posted this on the krogers weekly ad but Ill post it here too. I emailed corporate at krogers.com and the response I got back basically said that they have never allowed stacking manufacture on an ecoupon but they are just enforcing it now. This doesnt make any sense because if it was a rule then the computers should have been programmed to not accept it like they do now.

    • Tbeards39

Kroger has changed their e-coupon policy and did not notify their customers. You can no longer use an e-coupon along with a manufacture coupon. Maybe it is time to shop at Walmart. Kroger in alway high on many products than Food City or Walmart unless you can use your coupons. Unhappy customers will change their shopping habits.

      • MDHEMBREE

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO KROGER BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T NOTIFY THEIR CUSTOMERS

        • Crameybrock

A friend of mine did get an email on the policy change. I called Kroger and asked them to send me the email, they said they would.

        • shops2much

HA! that is soooo funny…what is the old saying…cutting off your nose to spite your face? I am sure someone at Kroger is saying….Promises Promises

      • CareDoll

They DID notify their customers. Every e-coupon on their site has the disclaimer unter the “more info” link. While you may not feel that is sufficient, saying that they did not notify us is inaccurate.

    • Amy

I have been able to pull Kroger ecoupons from my card, but once your cellfire and shortcuts ecoupons are on the card, they won't come off until they are used or expire. Therefore, I don't load them unless they are worth more than $1 or I can't find a paper coupon.

    • Amysuarez7

I saw on another site Kroger has changed their cupon policy and won't take ecupons with paper cupons and won't take printed cupons??????????????

    • S0crwmn

My Kroger will no longer allow you to use a printed coupon if you have an ecoupon!!!!! She said it started about a month ago and they are really cracking down on it. So I guess I won't be loading anymore cellfire coupons for the items I KNOW I can get coupons for, or either I will try to go to a younger clerk that doesn't know the new rule….lol.

I might have to borrow my sister's Kroger card until my ecoupons expire…..

    • S0crwmn

OH…and my Kroger will no longer accept printed coupons over $1. good think I didn't buy those 48 SmartOnes entress I had coupons for, I would have tied her line up for a LONG time while she took every one of them off!!! ( I shop for 3 families, thats why I was getting 48-but I didn't like the selection at this particular Kroger so I only bought 17)

    • Stacey2x6269

The Kroger here in TN will no longer let you use a paper coupon if you have an e coupoin.
