Enjoying this, but I wish there was a way to pick the coupons you wanted. Or is there?

      • Meme007

Stacey, since my pleas for help above, I have learned alot. Especially from the nice responses I received. You can pick which coupons you want to use. I didn’t activate some of them myself. I had fun just playing around with my new phone. One thing I did learn is that my facebook page has to be in the same name. I had my main facebook page shut down after linking it with Ibotta. I used my real name for Ibotta but linked it to my facebook page where I use a previous name. Just to throw unwanted “friends” off. Now I am advised by Facebook I was trying to use a fake name. HTH

I wish it could be used without a smart phone. We don’t pay for internet, text, etc on the phone.

I don’t have a smart phone either. I use my android tablet.

I am completely unschooled when it comes to my new smart phone. My daughter downloaded a nifty program to trace my stash of goods. I think I downloaded Ibotta but I am not sure. When I installed Ibotta did all the available coupons download? Do I have to do more to get the coupons or will they automatically download when there are new ones available? Thanks for any help. Preferably from someone under twenty yrs old — LOL!

Well, I am pushing the big 40 this year, but I love this app. Pull up the main menu of all of your apps (it’s a different place on all phones, but generally looks like a bunch of little squares. You’ll see the ibotta icon (my phone alphabetizes my apps, my husband’s puts them in order of when he downloaded them).
The Sort button is on the upper right hand side, press “refresh offers” and any new ones will be listed below with their category and a pink/peach number. You can also move through the main screen and the ones that have been done say complete; new ones have the $ amount listed.

It’s a great way to stack sale on coupon on rebate. I’ve had a few moneymakers since I started. The main thing to do is make sure your purchases are from participating stores. We have a local supermarket that has had great sales on the product, but I have to remind myself that they are not eligible for the program right now.

Thank you, Mrs. b. I am way past 40. Your simple hints helped me in many ways to navigate my way around this cantankerous Android. Now if I can get used to the tummy rumbling sound “DDRRROIDD” I’ll be half way there. Thanks again.

There are also offers for Walmart–the vitamin water and diet coke coupons. Plus if you redeem four offers this month you get an extra $2; another 5 offers redeemed earns you an additional $4. Then there’s Steady Eddy–redeem one a week for 4 weeks straight and get another $1, So if you redeem 9 offers over 4 weeks you can earn an additional $7.

Ibotta is going towards my mad money/christmas spending this year!

Another question. Can I do most of the work (watching videos, etc.) on my PC and save my battery and usage of my cellphone plan or do I have to do everything from my Android?

      • mrs b

I think you have to do it from your phone–but if you use the wifi on your phone it shouldn’t use your plan minutes. There have been very few videos on my offers. Also, the newest thing they have said is that in order to “lock in” an offer, you only have to do one of the tasks listed to hold it. So, take a quiz or something short to start with, and save the video watching for the ones you have already purchased
(in other works, do the take a poll/how to question, then save the video for after you have made your purchase but before you submit your receipt)

        hope that helps!

Also, I checked–I have 27 offers right now, and only 2 required me to watch a video.
