Groupon is officially entering the grocery market with the acquisition of Snap, a Canadian grocery app.  They have also moved the offers to the US Market, which means we have another way to save!!

I’ll confess this may be the best program yet.  It works exactly the same way as apps we’ve been using for the last year:

  1. Buy the items in the store.
  2. Come home and take a picture/pictures of your receipt and upload them through the app or their website.

What’s different is that for some items you can buy more than one and redeem the offer more than once!  So… I go into Publix this week and buy 4 packs of Huggies diapers, then I can earn $12 back right now through app – $3 for each pack purchased.

Don’t forget that you can still use coupons for these items in the store.  I happen to have a few $2 off Huggies printable coupons you see where this is going…

When you have $20 saved up in the app you can select to “Request a Check”.

You only have 2 days to upload your receipt from the time you purchase items.  Also keep in mind that when offers reach their limit they will disappear, so on high value offers you probably want to submit for your money back the same day!

Don’t have a smartphone?  That’s okay you can still submit through their website!!

Some of the current offers available:

$1 off Milk, any (limit 1) eCoupon
$1 off Bread, any (limit 1) eCoupon
.50/1 POM Wonderful Juice eCoupon
$3 off Huggies Diapers eCoupon
$2 off Huggies Wipes eCoupon
$1/2 Clorox products, any eCoupon
$1 off I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter eCoupon
$1 off Country Crock Spread eCoupon
.50/1 Chobani Greek Yogurt Oats eCoupon
.50/1 Chobani Flip eCoupon
$1 off Glad trash bags, any size eCoupon
$1/2 Glad Cling Wrap, Press N’ Seal or Containers eCoupon

Other favorite money saving apps:

  2. Ibotta
  3. SavingStar

Since the update on Ibotta, I have not been able to scan barcodes. Has anyone else had this problem?

      • Pamela

I had issues the last time I used it but eventually got the items to scan. I think I had to restart the app

    • courtney

Yes! I could scan some things, but like my milk would NOT scan for anything…I was super bummed.

    • pdnr

I am so grateful for a program that doesn’t require a smartphone! Yay to this one, Checkout 51 and Savings Star!

    • Liams_mom

Would the milk and bread coupons work at Aldi?

      • Joy T

I just submitted an Aldi receipt, no problem.

    • Laura

How long does it take for the receipts to get approved? I snapped 2 this weekend, and they still aren’t approved. Also having lots of trouble with the app freezing when needing to take multiple pictures. So far, I am not impressed with the usability. Too bad, because I like the offers much better than Checkout 51!

Can someone tell me the steps to go through to download the receipts? I downloaded the app and I know how to take the photos, but nowhere on the site do I see how to actually submit the receipts. Thanks!
