  • Savings are put into an online savings account.
  • Reach $5 saved get your money back in Paypal, Amazon gift cards or other options.

How do you get started??

  1. Login/Register with SavingStar.

    • Susan

I LOVE this! Thank you so much for letting us know of another layer of savngs!

    • Meg

I like this idea, but is it safe?

      • Peggy

I trust Jenny. I don't think she would have recommended it if she didn't think it was safe.

        • Breeana9

Being safe has nothing to do with Jenny or any site that may or may not recommend it. Anyone that you give your information to is subject to being compromised. Just look at Sony recently!

Buyer beware. An oldie, but is still applicable today.

          • Hi – Josh from SavingStar here. SavingStar values your privacy. We do not ask for any information besides email and password. You do need to register your grocery and drugstore card numbers in order to use the eCoupons since we'll automatically link the eCoupons to your cards.

      • Kcreviews

I've been doing this with UPromise and Lowe's Foods and have had no problems.

    • Peggy

I couldn't find the All detergent or Nancy's quiche coupons. Is this zip code specific?

      • Ellerbeewendi

I don't see that one either? Bummer.

        • Hi – Josh from SavingStar here. This one should be available, but there appears to a bug in the system.. We're working to get this fixed!

          • Anonymous

We’ve fixed this bug and apologize for the delay! The All detergent is up on the site now.

    • love it!

    • Mel

For real? Wow. I wonder what their incentive is, though. With Cellfire, the manufacturer's were paying for those coupons, right? So that's why you couldn't use paper and e-Qs together because the man.'s ended up getting cheated. So are the manufacturers paying for these, too? Seems like the same thing.

      • LD

I wonder the same thing. It may be they do get something from the manuf. But wondering if there incentive may come from Amazon Paypal etc. Like coin star ?

    • Ljturner623

How does this work because Krogers doesn't allow you to use ecoupons and coupons together anymore. If this works it will be great but I dont think it will. If anone knows please let me know Thanks

      • Sarah

It doesn't come off your purchase in the store. It puts the money in an online account (on the savingstar website) that you redeem later for giftcards and whatnot.

    • flower_mom

Silly question probably, but…Can you somehow use this at stores that don't have a shoppers card? Like at Publix…To 'use' UPromise coupons, you must scan your UPromise card since there is no Publix card.
      Hope this question makes sense.

      • For right now Publix is not participating. SavingStar is working hard to get them on board, but Publix is very “anti” shoppers cards. If they want to participate in the new wave of electronic coupons they are going to have to make some changes. It might help to let them know you would love to see this working there.

        • Jcjel

Good idea. All of us Publix shoppers should flood corporate with e-mails saying we would like to participate.

          • Anonymous

Hi. This is Josh from SavingStar. Unfortunately, Publix is not currently participating in SavingStar, but you can still use the Upromise cards that you can get at Publix to select Upromise Grocery eCoupons powered by SavingStar on Upromise.com. If you’d like Publix to participate in SavingStar please let them know so they can hear directly from their shoppers.

          • flower_mom

            I did earlier this morning…maybe I’ll hear a response soon. :)

        • flower_mom

That's too bad! Publix is about the only place I go anymore…I'll definitely shoot them an email. Thanks Jenny for all your hard work! I was just raving yesterday at the Calera Strawberry Festival about Southern Savers…YOU make it all possible for most of us! Thank you!

        • LD

I too would love Pulix to join this . I understand they dont wqant to force any customer to use a shopper card to get sales. But this is just an extra for those of us that dont mind them having a little more information on our shopping habbits. And the people who dont want to can still take advantage of all the sales and prices at Publix as normal.

        • Hi Jenny
Maybe it could be suggested to Publix that they combine Savingstar with their upromise card. That way, those of us that prefer the savingstar savings could load those coupons on the upromise card. That is, if Savingstar can accommodate that. I see in a post by Josh that the two companies are basically the same and that you can only load the coupon for one or the other, it would seem to me that the company would have the ability to differentiate between the two. That way, you would not be forced to have a savings card to get in on the deals at Publix, and we could still enjoy Savingstar savings. It would also save Publix the expense of developing and producing savings cards. I hope this makes sense.

    • Dtthackston

Is anyone getting error messages A LOT when trying to navigate the site?

      • heather

yes, but it just launched and i am sure there are eager couponers everywhere trying to sign up! if its too busy, try again later, they will get it working again!'

        • Hi – Josh from SavingStar here. We apologize for how slow the site was this morning. We experienced a burst of traffic which slowed it down, but everything seems to be working properly now.

    • Heather

I am so excited! I can just load coupons, shop as normal, and cash in at amazon! This is great!

      • heather

except them posing every single coupon i click on to facebook~ is there a way to get around that? my friends may really not forgive me…

        • linseya

You may want to start over and not your facebook account to login. And I don't know this for sure, but there could be a setting in “Privacy Settings” that will turn off all that posting. Hope this helps!

          • Hi – Josh from SavingStar here. We won't post anything to Facebook that you don't want us to. You can always manage your preferences under My Account.

            • Cheryl

Hi Josh – When I go to the Facebook Connection area of my profile, it is possible to uncheck the three boxes, but there is no button or any way to save that change.

            • Anonymous

              Hi Cheryl,

You are correct about that. This is a bug that should be fixed in the next 1-2 weeks. In the meantime, nothing will be posted to your Facebook account.

              Thanks,

              Josh

            • Cheryl

Thanks Josh. It’s really great that you’re here helping us get acquainted with SavingStar!

    • Belle

They have an Android app which I downloaded to my phone. The app was much faster to use than the website. I added all the coupons I wanted within a minute or so. They also have an iphone app.

    • limaga

I'm new but please help, I will get the savings money in the starsavings account and still can I use the paper coupons?

      • Sarah

        Yes.

    • Mlemerson

Great idea, I love it! But the website is very slow!!!

      • Hi Mlermerson – Josh from SavingStar here. We experienced a lot of traffic this morning which slowed the site down. We're very sorry about the inconvenience. The site seems to be working properly again now. Hope to have you back!

    • Amanda

A couple questions….Will the coupons for this site be matched by the store if it is 50cents or less as usual? Also, we can use paper coupons and these coupons and it will be deducted off of our total bill at the store AND they give us money in an account toward a gift card?? Just want to confirm all of that….

      • Sarah

I believe the answer to both of your questions is no. Nothing will be matched/doubled by the stores, and nothing comes off your total bill. It's just money into an account.

    • Carebearandrea

It is very slow but this is great!!!! I am very excited!

      • Carebearandrea

I wonder too if you can use say the wacky mac ecoupon on still use the wacky mac ecoupon that I have on my card with my upromise account?

        • Hi Carebearandrea – Josh from SavingStar here. SavingStar powers the eCoupons on Upromise. You can choose to activate the eCoupon in either Upromise or Savingstar, but can only use it one time.

    • NikkiF314

Is anyone else having trouble getting their winn-dixie card to load? The sample card says there is a number before the barcode but my card doesn't have one, it is just a 15 digit number. I just keep getting the invalid card number code.

      • Hi Nikki – Josh from SavingStar here. I believe you have the new Winn-Dixie store card. We are working to fix the issue of registering this particular card. Please send an email to support@savingstar with your card number and we will get the card registered for you. Thanks, Josh

      • LD

Yes I did and emailed them before I saw Josh's response below lol I wish I had included my card # with the email

    • Zelda

GIRL!!!!!! You are fantastic….Not only will this rack up more gas points at Kroger…but to have the money deposited in bank!!! WOOT!!

    • Cgreene1

SO SLOW! It may be from everyone trying at the same time..HAHA! EXCITED!

      • Buff

Yeah all the coupon mommies must be hitting it at once, it's taking forever. :-)

        • Foxnettles

I know, I'm having the same problem, but finally got it done. I'm really excited about this one.

          • Hi – Josh from SavingStar here….I wanted to apologize for how slow the website was today. We had a huge rush of traffic to the website which slowed it down, but it seems to be working properly again. Please let us know if anything is not working properly. Thanks!

    • Kafsu13

I tried this last week, but it didn't work. :( I guess I can try it again though! :)

    • LeoMom3

I will get there today to do this. Sounds great! I've heard it was a bit slow so, I will wait just a bit for the rush to die out :)

    • sharon60

Read the terms and conditions under “Inactive Fee”. I'm interpreting this to be that IF you don't use any coupons during a given month, they will deduct $1.99 (if applicable in your state) from you account.

Is that how you understand this??????

If I'm correct, then I would only save what I know I would use that month.

      Thoughts?????

      • Cpratchford

It says that the fee only applies if your account is inactive for 12 consecutive months. It looks like it's just a means to close out old accounts when poeple lose interest in the program.

        • sharon60

Thanks so much for replying. I re-read and you are 100% correct. WHEW!!

    • Foxnettles

I couldn't find the Sunny D or Wisk coupons.

      • Hi Foxnettles. I apologize that those coupons are not listed right now. Apparently the paperwork was not finalized with the brands to make those offers available. We hope to get them up shortly! Thanks, Josh

    • Jenn

I can not get my cards to sign up. It keeps saying invalid numbers for all of them. Any suggestions?

      • Hi Jenn – We want to make sure you are able to register you cards. Please send an email to support@savingstar and we'll find out what the issue is. Please include the store name and card number and we'll get to the bottom of it! Thanks! Josh

    • Diannascoupon

I sent an message to the web site hosts about my card numbers showing as not valid. Hopefully they will correct this b/c while I LOVE the concept, I don't have time to waste on the process. :/

      • Jenn

I just realized that I was not retyping them in correctly. they went through fine after I redid them again!

    • Jl1718

She's recommending it because she's getting paid too. Don't automatically assume it's safe or not safe off a promotion.

    • Liz

This sounds like fun!! I loaded my cards without any problem, but when I looked for several coupons that I thought I would use they were not available. Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem??? THANKS

      • Hi Liz – Josh from SavingStar here. Can you describe what happened so we can look into it? All the coupons should be available….Thanks, Josh

        • Hi Josh. I have a question. If I load my Bi-Lo card, will I receive the savings, regardless of which Bi-Lo I shop at? The same question applies, of course, to all the stores.

          • Hi SUEMH. That is correct! Once you register your cards, you can shop any locations.

    • Mommas2moody

I got signed up, cards loaded, and coupons selected. I am willing to give it a try!

    • LeoMom3

Cards loaded and my computer showed that there were currently 50 e-coupons to add. I added them all with no problems! I look forward to seeing the potential savings as this is going to be fun and effortless.

    • LJH

Got mine active and loaded with no problems. Thanks Jenny.

    • Okay, just so that I understand: When I buy the items that I have loaded coupons for, I do not receive the money off that purchase, but I do receive it later via PayPal or gift card or some other option.

      • Hi – Josh from SavingStar here. After you buy the items that you have selected coupons for, the money is added to your SavingStar account. (your bill at the supermarket does not change). After you accumulate $5 worth of savings, you can pick how you'd like to get your money out SavingStar. Currently you can choose a deposit into your bank account or Paypal account, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to the charity American Forests. We'll be adding more payout choices in the coming months.

        • Thanks, Josh. One other question. When we reach $5, do we have to take a payout, or can we let the balance build until we are ready for it. I am seeing this as a great way to save for special things.

          • That's a great idea. You can let the balance build as much as you'd like

    • Emily

Wow, this is a great idea. I have 3 things to say:

1-thanks for sharing this info and thanks to the representative form SavingStar for answering questions here.

2-Some coupons I don't have available, are they different by area?

3-Just to understand how it works. If I want to buy the Clorox2, let's say it costs $3. I use my $1.50 off coupon, pay $1.50 at the register and because I used my card I will have $1.00 in my SavingStar account?

      • Hi Emily,

You are correct that some products were listed but they are not appearing on the site. I apologize for this. Apparently, not all the paperwork was completed by the brands and we'll work with them to try to get these up and running as quick as possible.

The all® free clear OXI-Active® coupon had a bug earlier this morning and is now up!

In terms of how it works, SavingStar's stance is that manufacturer coupons — paper or paperless — are not intended to be combined for a single product purchase and manufacturer coupon policies typically reflect this. Store loyalty or club card discounts, however, may usually be combined with coupons of any kind in accordance with retailer policy. Thanks!

      • cm6755

Hope it's super doubles and the Clorox is FREE you'll MAKE a $1.00 profit!!! LOL

    • Sati42

Is there anyway we can convince the SavingStar to add Bi-Lo?

      • Bilo does show for me. There is a small arrow on the right, and when I click it, it shows Bilo.

      • Sati42

Oh-so I guess I'm not sure–when I put in my area code to see participating stores BiLo did not show up, but then when I created my account it did. So I'm not sure if it'll go or not. I guess I'll find out.

        • Hi – if you registered your card, you're good to go!

      • Yep – Bi-Lo is participating in the program. When you enter your zip code to register your cards, you'll be able to enter your Bi-Lo card.

    • Sarah

Thank you for the information, Jenny!

I have a question for Josh from SavingStar. I am unable to register my Lowes number. The sample shows that it should be 12 digits, but mine is only 11 (I've counted 3 times). It is a brand new card – not even taken out of the laminate yet & I've never used it to shop. Any ideas?

      • Hi Sarah, Thanks for letting me know about this. If Lowes has just updated their cards, we might need to update our systems to be able to register these particular cards. Can you please email us your number at support@savingstar.com so we can figure out what's happening? Thanks! Josh

        • Sarah

Thanks Josh! Will be e-mailing you shortly.

        • blessedbeingmom

My Winn Dixie card is also longer than the sample. Once we got the new fuelperks card, the format of the card changed. My WD card is 15 digits long. The cards no longer look like the old cards pictured in the sample.

          • Hi – We apologize for the inconvenience on the new WD card. We're currently updating our system to allow for the new fuelperks card. In the meantime, you can email us your card number at support@savingstar.com and we can manually add it in. Thanks! Josh

    • smoochthecook

I loaded the vinegar coupon to my cards and bought some at Kroger (one of my cards I registered) and it didn't add anything to my savingstar card. I'm not sure why, but it doesn't instill much confidence in trying more. haha!

      • Hi – To clarify how it works, once you buy the product, the money is automatically added into your SavingStar account. How long it takes before the savings appear in your account depends on how fast each retailer lets us know that you bought the product. It can take anywhere between 7-30 days, with most savings posting within 15 days of when you buy the product. We're actively working with retailers to reduce the number of days it takes to post your savings so it's as quick as possible. Thanks, Josh

        • Cpratch

Hi Josh – One more question. I have already activated my coupons on Upromise. When I initially logged on to SavingStar, it showed 49 coupons avaiable, but that quickly changed to 21. Is that because I already activated the others on Upromise? I assumed so, but wanted to double check.

          • Hi Cpratch – you are correct. SavingStar powers the eCoupons for Upromise, but you can only select them in one service. Thanks, Josh

    • NewtoThis

Do these count as manufacture coupons? Like if I have a paper coupon for ball park and then there is also a SAVINGSTAR coupon does it take both?

      • Clarknval

I have the same question, NewtoThis!

        • Anonymous

Hi guys – For FarmFresh, you can use the Upromise card from FarmFresh. This is not your Upromise.com account number. This is a special Upromise keytag card that you can get from FarmFresh at their customer service desk. Hope this helps! – Josh

      • Yes. You would get credit for your paper coupon from the register and credit for your SavingStar coupon in your Savingstar account.

      • Olemissmoss

when you go to this website, and you click the link “how it works”, it states very big in step number 2 that your total bill stays the same. This amount does not come off your bill, it goes into an online savings account and when you have earned $5 you can chose a reward card. These coupons DO NOT take money off your total bill. Hope this helps.

    • sundrop474

Thanks, Jenny, for posting this. I like the way I can use these coupons regardless of where I shop. I do have a question. Farm Fresh is listed under my zip as a participating retailer. However, they don't have a customer loyalty card! When I hover to see an example of the card, it shows a Upromise card. I have a Upromise account, not specifically linked to Farm Fresh, but no card. My Upromise acct number is 10 digits long; the example is 12 digits long. Anyone, perhaps Josh the SAVINGSTAR rep, who can explain this? I shop at Farm Fresh almost weekly. Thanks.

      • Jamie

Publix doesn't have a savings card, either. They do offer a Publix Upromise card, similar to a savings card, that you can swipe with each transaction. I would ask your customer service desk if they have a Upromise card for their store.

    • I've been wondering what was around the bend. I've been too lazy to bother with my upromise account, but if this goes to paypal I'm willing to take a look. This may be a decent revenue stream for ebay whan I can't manage to trade for the coupons that I need and actually have to cough up thecurrency.

    • Colorado Mommi

Our stores will automatically discount the ecoupons first and won't combine them with paper coupons. Do you know if they look at these the same way? I'm mainly talking about Kroger in CO. Thank you!! :)

      • Colorado Mommi

Also — they won't double ecouons, so it's usually a better deal to use the paper ones.

Will Walgreens be participating as well?

      • Walgreen's does not have a shopper's card.

        • Feelingscrappy

Walgreens in a free area have cards – as test markets – I am in Richmond VA and we have cards and rarely get RR now – hate the cards!

          • Wow, I didn't know that. Thanks.

            • We'd love to have Walgreen's participate. We always encourage people to reach out directly to their favorite store if they are not part of the SavingStar program and let them know that you'd like them to participate so they can hear directly from their local shoppers. Thanks! Josh

            • Stacey-porknbeansfamily

The only problem is that Walgreens (particularly most in my region) just don’t seem to really care what their customers want, boo! I would suggest it might be better to contact Walgreens at the corporate level to make the greatest impact at getting SavingStar there for us! I sure wish Walgreens here had customer service like SavingStar is already putting out! WOW! Josh, they are sure a lucky company to have somebody as attentive at you have been and SO helpful! If SavingStar remains half as good as they have started out, this is going to be a long and prosperous relationship for all! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! P.S. I, for one, love the gift card options for payout also! w00t! w00t!

            • Anonymous

Thanks Stacey! We’re planning on reaching out to Walgreen’s at the corporate level, but when they hear from their customers it definitely helps! Thanks for the kind words! Josh

    • Pam C

I apologize if I'm asking a question that has already been addressed, but there are a lot of comments to read. I noticed when I registered my Kroger card it states “Atlanta”. Is the Atlanta area the only Kroger store that is participating? I live in Auburn AL.

You are in Kroger's “Atlanta” region. I live in Virginia and I am in the “Mid-Atlantic” region for Kroger.

        • Correct Valerie! Kroger has a few regions in our system, but any Kroger card can be registered under any Kroger listing. Thanks, Josh

    • Sheila

      How cool!!!!

    • LeAnn

@Josh with Savingstar…I am going to be moving this summer, and want to know if I will be able to change my zip code when I do. The stores are different in Michigan than here in SC. Also does Meijer (not fred Meyers) participate?

      • Jessa

Meijer is the same as Kroger, though they also have Kroger in Michigan. My husband is from there and he used to use his Meijer card down here at Kroger before we got married and got new Kroger cards.

        • LeAnn

I think you might be thinking of Fred Meyer stores, they are affiliated/owned by Kroger? Meijer Inc. isn't. But on the FB page he answered my question, Meijer doesnt participate, and the zip code you reg. with doesnt matter!

          • Hi – to clarify for the SouthernSavers audience, you can always change your zip code and enter new cards. There are 100 chains participating in the program, although Meijer is currently not one of them. Fred Meyer is participating. In Michigan, Glen's is also a participating chain. – Josh

    • Mommascott17

I love this concept! I'll actually have somewhat of a savings! YAY! Thanks so much.

    • Mommascott17

      I love it!!!

    • bobbie

i went to savingstar and clicked on several coupons to be added to my Kroger Plus card…. then logged into my kroger account to see if the ecoupons were showing, and they are not. is that the way it's supposed to be since it doesn't actually take anything off my bill? thanks!

      • Peggy

They will not show on your Kroger card. They are not a coupon that will be deducted by Kroger but will go into a coupon “savings account” that can be redeemed once you have used $5 in coupons. You can also use a Kroger e-coupon or manufacturer coupon on top of this one.

        • Thanks Peggy – you are correct. The eCoupons will not be listed in your Kroger account, only in your SavingStar account. After you buy the products, your savings should generally be posted in your SavingStar account within 15 days.

        • bobbie

          awesome! thanks Peggy!!!

    • kidsallgone

I have a question (for Josh/SavingStar or anyone):
If I choose to have my savings go into my Paypal account, will Paypal take their usual “cut” each time there is a deposit from you? If so, it would benefit me (and others?) more for the savings to go into our bank account.
      Thanks for the replies :-)

      • Hi – If you choose a Paypal deposit, you will receive the full amount. For any payout option you choose, you will receive the full amount! – Josh

    • Mrspearson06

Found this as a driod app the other day and love what I'm seeing so far!! :)

    • Amm6300

When I click a link to the Ballpark franks and Florida OJ, it goes to the SStar site, but when I login, those items do not appear so that I can put them on my list. Also, I tried to download the app to my iPod 3rdGen and it stated I needed the iPhone 4 software.

      • Hi Amm6300 – I apologize that Ballpark franks is not listed. I thought this offer was coming, but apparently the offer was not finalized. The Florida Natural offer is available however. If you sort alphabetically you should be able to find it. You are correct that iPhone requires iPhone 4 software. Thank you for trying us out. – Josh

    • Pounds 4 Pennies

Wow! This is really cool. Another way to save!

      • And likely new ways for money makers, I hope!

    • PJsFile13

So these should be considered like Store coupons? Or can we stack store AND manufacturer coupons on TOP of these?

Thanks for all the info you give us!
      PJ

      • Peggy

You can use a store coupon, a manufacturer coupon AND this e-coupon!

    • Mom of 2

what if I have 2 CVS cards? Can I register both numbers?

      • Yes you can!

        • Mom of 2

And CVS wont somehow connect the 2 cards?

          • In your SavingStar account, you can register more than 1 card. So for example if if there are 2 people in your house with different card numbers, you can still share the same SavingStar account. But, each coupon specifies whether it can be used 1 time only or is valid for unlimited purchases (currently only the Florida Natural coupon is for unlimited purchases). -Thanks, Josh

        • Nita Royal

That's surprising, since it's against CVS policy for one household to have more than one card.

          • Against their policy my foot! I got a cvs card in 2005 (the others that came with it are long gone) and my husband never had one. He needs his own and he just happens to live with me. Same story with Harris Teeter. We do have two cards so we both can use our cards when we want to.

Since these companies haven't found a way to link cards in a same household without issuing a brand new card to the newest cardholder, we will have two cards per household for these two stores.

    • Scballen92

im so confused. is this replacing upromise . already have upromise. does this work in addition to upromise. if we are members of both do we get both the upromise deposit and the savingstar deposit???

      • Scballen92

just found out the answer when i read further. thanks

      • Hi – SavingStar powers the coupons for Upromise, and for our own website as well. You can choose which service you'd like to select the coupons, but they cannot be used in both services at the same time (meaning if you select a coupon in Upromise, you will not be able to select the same coupon in SavingStar). Hope this helps! – Josh

    • mum2pnut

I have a question for Jenny-Are you now going to match these coupons up with each store's ad? I already love you for ALLLLLLLL you do, so I wouldn't be upset if you didn't :)

    • Honeysmith

Let's hear it for Josh and his patience! Also, thanks Jenny!

    • Jo R

Ok- if you are follwowing this post Josh says that Savingstar's stance is that paper or paperless man. Q's are not meant to be combined for a single purchase. So no stacking? Just want to be on the up and up since Kroger is no longer allowing this.

    • Amy

So can we do Savingstar in addition to paper coupons? Meaning… I can 'downloand' e coupons to my store cards but also take into the store manufacture coupons for same product? Is this additional savings or replacing paper coupons?

      • Babybug29

I'd like to know that too! From the few comments I've seen I don't think we actually can even though it says in the initial post we can. If the card only has a 50 cent coupon on it for a product and I have a 1.50 coupon in my hand, I want to use the one in my hand not receive the .50 off….. I'd like someone to answer your question in plain English…..Additional savings or replacing paper coupons? Because if it is replacing, there are items we will get less savings on if we link it to all our store cards but have a paper coupon worth more for the same item.

        • See my post above.

      • Yes, the SavingStar savings are in addition to the other coupons. You do not get the credit from the ecoupon at the register, it goes into your SavingStar account.

    • Rebecca

I've tried to scan mosts of the comments but did not see an answer to this question: Is the one time use coupon good for each card or just once for all cards? In other words, if I buy Clorox Greenworks at Winn Dixie and than again at CVS, do I get the coupon amount off for each store or it will be once for whichever store I get it at first?

      • According to a comment by Josh from SavingStar below, most of them are single-use coupons. If not, it will say so on the coupon when you load it.

        • Good question Rebecca and thanks for replying SUEMH. If a coupon is labeled as one time use only, it can only be used once. You can pick which store you shop at, but after you use it the first time, it will no longer be valid. Thanks, Josh

      • CouponingJenny

I'm pretty sure it is only redeemed once at the first store you buy it at. The rest won't count even if you buy it somewhere else. Hope that helps!

    • tish

Is Publix not participating? They did not come up for me. I do have a Upromise account linked up to them…

      • Anonymous

Hi tish. At the moment, Publix is not participating on SavingStar.com, only on Upromise. We’d encourage you to let them know you’d like to join SavingStar since it’s always good when they hear directly from their customers. -Josh

      • Barbara

Publix does not have a shopper loyalty card, so maybe that is why….

    • Thall561

      To Josh,

If I activated a coupon, like the Gortons, and now it says sold out, do I still get credit for it when I use it?

      • Hi – Yes, if a coupon is marked as Sold Out, that just means that we've reached the limit set by brand for how many new people can select it. But, if you've already selected it, you will still get the savings when you buy the product. Thanks, Josh

    • Rgalt

This is GREAT! I always envied the Kroger people that could load their coupons! Now WE can get a bonus loading our cards!!Thanks SavingStar and Thak You Jenny!! For letting us know!!

    • Kklutter

When I entered the zip for my local Kroger in MS it pulled up Kroger, Memphis,TN
Will it work at all Kroger locations if I enter my Kroger Card number?

      • Yes it will! Kroger has various regions that are listed in the name, but as long you register your Kroger card it will work. Thanks! Josh

    • Hildawins

      Thank you again Jenny!

    • Jbuttimer

Just so everyone knows, there's an iPhone app from them. You can view all coupons, activated coupons and non activated coupons. You can activate coupons from your phone.

I also use apps from Kroger, Cellfire and Coupons.com

    • SAVINGMUM

      WONDERFUL!!!

    • sharon60

Heads up to those who didn't see the All Oxi yesterday. It's on mine now, so try again! :)

    • Margaret

I found it impossible to load coupons! I kept get directed to a page where I had to click the button saying I have loaded my cards already. I'd see the loading in progress on the left when I clicked on a I want this coupon. So what is going on there?

      • Hi Margaret, I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you experienced. Do you already have a card registered in your account? Please check under My Account and then go the tab labeled My Shopping Cards. If there are no cards listed, there might have been an error registering your cards. Please enter each card individually by clicking the +Add Card button at the end of each row (leave out the spaces when you enter your card number). If this does not work for you, please email us at support@savingstar.com so we can make sure the service works for you. Thanks! Josh

    • Predden2003

Jenny, I noticed under your coupon policies that you state Kroger will accept ecoupons and paper coupons. Our Kroger, in middle Tn will no longer take a paper coupon on the same item as you have an ecoupon. I was wondering if the savingstar ecoupons would be different and they would allow us to use paper and this ecoupon?

    • Lorannclark

Does this ecoupon work with paper @ Kroger?? Anybody know? I don't want my higher value paper rejected @ checkout.
      Thanks

      • aria

Here at 75022 kroger they wont let you use both, after you put it in your card no point to take paper coupon with you. So make sure which one has higher value and use that one.

        • Could be wrong…but

Pretty sure this is a different program…the one Jenny is talking about here is new and looks to be a “savings account” where the specified “savings” go; you get a gift card when it reaches a certain dollar amount saved (so you won't see the savings on your receipt at checkout, just like the UPromise “coupons”). Yes, Kroger does not allow paper Q with the current ecoupons but again, this is different. I'm thinking that's why she specified you can use a paper coupon with it?

          • Kimmieof3

That is what i understood, be sure to read their terms of agreement, i saw that they will start deducting from your account monthly if there is no activity going on every month. so once you do this, you will have to continue to do this (download their coupons) every month.

            • Hi Kimmie – Just to clarify the terms of agreement, you only need to select a coupon on our service one time during any 12 month period in order to stay as an active user. You do not need to select coupons every month if you don't want to. – Josh

          • Debo

Yes – that's what I'm understanding… What you can't stack at i.e. Kroger is the MFG eCoupon you load to your Kroger rewards card w/ a paper mfg coupon…

        • DebO

How do they even know since it doesn't show on the receipt?

    • Leticiag30

Is it safe to give our loyalty card numbers? I don't know anything about upromise.

    • Melaniehenry81

trying to find out if any one has found out if you can you these with paper coupons at kroger?

      • Jena

Yes, my Kroger didn't even seem to notice them. Of course, since you aren't getting cash off your purchase at the register, I guess that makes sense.

    • Galveston 2000

      thanks-sounds like a winner

    • Emhcoupon

I used this for the first time on Tuesday and it hasn't shown up in my account yet. Does anyone know how long it takes for a redemption of a coupon to show up? Thanks.

      • Hi – Savings post in your account within 7-30 days, depending upon which retailer you shopped. As soon as we receive the data from the store, we post it to your account. Thanks, Josh

    • Rinamom393

I will watch my mouth…LOL…..HECK YEAH!!! Doing the happy coupon dance!!!!

    • Joel

A little frustrated because I need to use a coupon at Publix this week on my Upromise Publix card. However, I loaded all the coupons on to savingstar which doesn't work with Publix and I can't go in an take it off savingstar to put on upromise. I'm not really seeing any advantage to savingstar over Upromise because of this. It has actually made me lose money I could have gotten. Maybe if you could deactivate coupons.

      • Appreciate the feedback Joel. We'd love to have Publix join and we'd encourage you to reach out to them directly so they can hear directly from their customers.

    • Thall561

can a list of the coupons downloaded be PRINTED from saving star website?

      • After you select your coupons, they are listed on the right hand side of the screen. At the top of the list is a button that says Print List which you can use. Thanks, Josh

    • After you select your coupons, they are listed on the right hand side of the screen. At the top of the list is a button that says Print List which you can use. Thanks, Josh

    • Diana302

Let me get this straight. (Mind you I am all new to all this) If I have a paper coupon, and a coupon I loaded on my Kroger card both will go through for that one product, right? The Saving Star coupon amount for that same product will just go to my account to be redeemed once I reached the 5 dollars used in Saving star coupons. The Star saving coupon will not replace the paper, nor the Kroger loaded coupon, right?

    • Tonya

How does Albertson's participate? We do not have shopper cards for Alberston's here in FL. However, the store appears when I put in my Zip code.

      • Hi Tonya, Albertson's has a “Upromise keytag” which you can pick up at the customer service desk. You can register that card number on SavingStar. Thanks, Josh

    • Missy

Bad news…many Krogers located around metro Atlanta won't let you stack e-coupons w/ manufacturer's coupons.  It's gotta be one or the other.  :(

      • Chris

Its not a coupon, its more of a rebate

      • Mountain Mama

Just found out that our WV Kroger won't accept both either.  Bummer.

        • SavingStar

Hi Mountain Mama, To clarify, SavingStar eCoupons will always work. Kroger does not let you stack manufacturers coupons with Kroger's electronic coupons, but SavingStar eCoupons work independently. Manufacturers typically have a policy to limit usage to one coupon which is why we don't encourage stacking, but if you choose to combine another coupon with a SavingStar eCoupon it will work. Please note that nearly all of SavingStar's eCoupons are not available on other services. Thanks, Josh

          • Hildawins

Last night I did a trial run.  I bought two bottles of wisk.  I had downloaded the $1.00 / 1 wisk.  The receipt (only coupons used were wisk) printed the two mfg. coupons I gave the cashier, nothing on the receipt about SavingStar.

            • SavingStar

Correct. SavingStar eCoupons will not appear on your receipt when you checkout.

    • Greg

Just looking for clarification. Alot of people are excited about stacking as seen by Jenny's post: “In case you missed it… these can be used with paper coupons!  So many of these do have paper coupons available so this is gonna be fun!!!”. After scrolling through the comments I see the SavingStar rep(Josh) stated that they act as a manu. q and should not be used together. As there is no system in place to prevent the stacking, it is up to each person's integrity. That is a slippery slope for me. I would hate to forget about a savingstar q and use my manu. and compromise my integrity. For that I think I will pass.

    • devgwen

I apologize if I am asking a repeat question, but do you receive the savings on multiple quantities of the same item or does it just apply to the 1st one purchased?  For instance, if I buy 10 Ball Park Franks do I receive $1.00 or $10.00?

      • Hi devgwen – most SavingStar eCoupons are for 1 use – they
will only be applied to one item you purchase. These say 'One
time use only.' If an eCoupon is marked as 'Valid for unlimited
purchases' then it will apply to all of your purchases. There's a
Florida's Natural eCoupon like that currently available. Hope that
        helps. Josh

    • Kristin

When are new coupons added?  Are we notified or do we need to check?

      • Hi Kristin – Coupons are updated at the beginning of each month. Sometimes we get new coupons during the month and will notify you by Facebook/Twitter and/or email. Thanks, Josh

    • ok so NO money will come off of my grocery bill using this product……..

      • Jena

No, apparently they go into an account that you can “cash out” once you reach $5.

    • katie jackson

I bought 10 items  back on May 1st…..Still waiting for my credit..I read that some people are getting the credit same day. I haven't been back to my Baker's/Kroger to shop since. It seems like a great program but it's not speedy at all.

      • Hi Katie, You should receive your savings within the next few days. Each retailer supplies us with data on a different schedule, so some savings post faster than others, depending upon where you shop. Baker's is roughly a 2 week timetable, so I would expect you to receive the savings by the end of this week at the latest. If you don't please let us know so we can investigate what's going on. In general, we're working with all of our partner retailers to try and post savings faster than this. Thanks, Josh

    • Chill

I did that a few days ago and went shopping. My receipt did not reflect the coupons that I had specifically loaded for that shopping trip. I went to Krogers today and also did not get myCatalina deal on the Wisk detergent. I couldn't find any of the .88 batteries because they were completely sold out and my store did not carry any Mahatma rice that was less than $2.47. I also went to CVS today to purchase my Nutrogena deals and did not find any product for less than 11.00 I am so discouraged with the whole deal finding experience. The only thing that I feel I got a good deal on today was my Colgate toothpaste. The sad part is… I only had one coupon for it so I only got to purchase one for that price…. how frustrating is this??? wahhhh!!!

    • Sgodfrey2005

Is there an easy way to download all the coupons at once?  Doing each one is taking forever!

      • SavingStar

Hi – Each coupon must be clicked on its own since brands want to make sure that you are actively selecting their particular coupon. -Josh

    • Just wondering…I had reached a payout amount and selected the Paypal option. It said that it would take 24 hours for my payout to go through. That was roughly 3 or 4 days ago. Did I do something wrong?

      • SavingStar

Hi Deborah, We've investigated the issue and will email you directly. Please be on the lookout for an email from Neal from SavingStar. Thanks, Josh

    • Mgjones6845

Kroger will not let me use ecoupons and printable coupons on the same item.

    • guest

Loaded the Wisk detergent $1 off coupon on my Kroger card and went to purchase it and it didn't come off.  What's up?

      • guest

Ok. Read more and see that the savings is transferred to my “account”.  So, now my question is how long will it take to show up?  Right now it still says $0 in my account.  I like this idea, just have questions that I can't find answers to on their site.  Thanks!

        • SavingStar

Hi – Your savings will typically post to your SavingStar account between two
days and two weeks after your purchase, depending on how quickly stores
send us purchase data. In rare cases it can take up to 30 days. Thanks, Josh

          • guest

            Thanks so much!

          • Thanks. I was just wondering the same thing. i will keep checking my account.

    • Christi Hartman

our Harris Teeter in Fayetteville NC says they don't take savingstar coupons. i loaded my card and nothing came off and the manager had no idea what i was even talking about!

      • SavingStar

Hi Christi, I'm sorry if the manager was not aware of the program. SavingStar does work at all Harris Teeter locations. The savings do not come off your bill at checkout in the store. Instead, they are added to your SavingStar account within 7-30 days after you purchase the item. -Josh

    • Jajohnson0527

What about stores that do not have shopper savings cards like Publix? Can we not use Savingstar there?

      • SavingStar

Hi – Currently Publix does not participate in SavingStar so the coupons can't be used at Publix. We'd love it if they joined and would encourage you to reach out to them so they hear directly from their customers. Thanks, Josh

    • Arrantsc

When Jenny gave us the first peek at SavingStar, I signed up, loaded some coupons for items I usually buy, and then thought no more about the program.  It was a nice surprise for me when I looked at my account this month and found that I had a small credit.  It was like finding fries at the bottom of the McDonald's bag.
