Gone are the days of getting more printable coupons from larger cities on Coupons.com. In coupon world the bigger the city you live in, the more coupons you’ll have in your paper and available online. As of last night Coupons.com has removed the ability for you to change your zip code to see what coupons are available in other cities.
I know many of you have already noticed this looking at my email inbox and comments on lists. Right now I can’t find any solution other than changing your IP address through a VPN, and while that is doable… I already lost you with big technical words.
The tricky part for me is that you may find a coupon now in your area that I would never know was there. I’m trying to figure out how to keep lists as correct for you based on your area, but it may mean that I need your help in comments to let me know if you see coupons I don’t.
In terms of user experience this isn’t the best move. People really get grumpy when they feel like they can’t have what other people are getting (we could jump from coupons to politics here). If you are upset I would encourage you to say something.
Two happy notes to leave you with:
- There were only 54 coupons that ere zip code specific as of yesterday… so you do still have 325 coupons everyone can print.
- All the other sites that allow you to change your zip code still work and let you see and print offers from other areas.
