2009_upromise-ecoupons250x250Upromise has loaded their November eCoupons. They have over $45 dollars in coupons this month. Load them now and have them saved for any purchases during the month!

These are a little different than the other e coupons:

  • You can use them at almost any store!
  • The money does not come off at the register but is put into your Upromise account.
  • Load as many coupons as you want, there is no limit.

Why use Upromise eCoupons?
Normally when you buy something that gives you money back for college it gives you .03 -.10 cents. With the eCoupons you are
significantly increasing the amount saved.

Can I use a coupon too?
Yes! These are not tied to coupons or discounts in the store.

I don’t have a kid…
Not a problem. We had a Upromise account for almost 2 years before our kids were born. Once we had kids we went in and changed it our of our names to our kids names. Grandparents can also sign up and have it go to their grandchildren! We have 3 sets of grandparents all saving a little bit for our kiddos. You can change the beneficiary at any time.

How much can you really save?
Well, you aren’t going to send them to Princeton just from your savings, but it can be a nice chunk of money by the time they get there. It depends on how much you remember to use their system. We have been a member for almost 6 years and have over $3000 saved. Since we have 3 kids this won’t go very far but it is $3000 that we didn’t have to dig up to save. (No it’s not all from e coupons, they just started the e coupon system last year.)

The Upromise website seems to be down.

Can you use a manufacturer’s coupon on the same item that you use a Upromise coupon?

      • Marlene

Yes, the upromise coupons just put the value into your upromise account (doesn’t come off the bill at the register like a regular coupon)

    • JoAnna

I use my upromise card at Publix… but can i use it for things I buy at Target? Someone told me to give it to all the stores I go to.. I am not sure how it works… I have only $42.00 and I have been a member since 2002 :(

if you register your all your grocery cards (kroger, ingles etc..) And your check/credit cards then they will give credit for other products you buy. The one thing about debit cards is that you have to use it as a credit card instead of a debit so they can track your purchase.

        • I tried to ask at my bank if that affects anything by using it as a credit card instead of debit and they said they did not suggest using it regularly as a credit card vs debit, when it is truly a debit card. I was confused. Can you shed any light on that. My debit card is truly a debit.

          • marina

I’ve never had any problems just using it as a credit. I think maybe it’s just for security reasons because you don’t enter a pin when you use it as a credit card. Or it just depends on your bank. Sorry i’m not much help.

The only difference is the transaction fee the retailer pays when you use your card as a credit vs debit card. I always use mine as credit so I don’t have to remember the pin and also so that no one can get the pin either. Some gas stations with charge a few pennys more more gallon to use credit vs. debit so this would be one place to watchout.I average about $.09 per gas fill up from Exxon & Upromise. I’ve had no problems with my registered cards. However, you can’t use your publix card at target to get the points just your registered card.

There are a lot of items you get points for that are associated with a coupon either. Go here http://www.upromise.com/earn/grocery to checkout the list.
