Anytime I see a “deal” for coupon binder pages, I want to share this: http://debsheartandhome.com/2012/02/diy-coupon-sleeves/. Most of my binder is made of these now. Its so simple and fast (if you already have a sewing machine), and you can make double-sided pages custom to any size pocket you’d like!

Just a heads up. Office Depot now requires a minimum $5 purchase to get the penny items. They have not required this in the past, so it is not as great of a deal if you have to spend $5 on overpriced items.

      • jess

I was just going to add the same thing. It’s not listed in the circular, either. Only on the sale tags on the actual items. Luckily I needed a couple of other things anyway.

I was also going to say that. They had mechanical pencils on clearance for $6, and my kids go through those, so I bought everything for about $6.50. Be careful with the folders, too. Two of them came up at the wrong price, even though they were the right type. Every color is a different UPC.

I haven’t shopped Office Max in a while. Are Office Max and Office Depot now the same store? She doesn’t differentiate which store these deals are from and some even say Depot/Max. Do they have the same ads?

      • Devon

They merged. They are now the same company.

          Ah. ok. thanks

    • Lucypearl

The guy in the store told me I had to spend $5 for each penny deal…so, $5 to get the folders, $5 again to get index cards, and another $5 for the eraser caps…is this the case? I didn’t get anything because I wanted to clarify this first.
      Thanks

      • Elena

I went today and you have to buy $5 for all cent deals. I ended up getting 20 folders, 6 erasers, and 6 index cards for $6.70. I got posts for $5 and stapler for $1.

Or you can match price at walmart. Thats my plan
