Are these deals regional?  GA ad for 8/5 thru 8/11 has items like FREE composition books, .25 poly pocket folders and 4.99 USBs.

      • cg

Mine in SC does too. I don’t know why they are not listed above.

    • LuvCpns

The $5 off $25 ends today 8/4 so is not valid on these sale items that start 8/5.

Why don’t you have the Officemax Multipurpose paper 500 sheet Reem $6.99 – $6.98 in max perk bonus rewards, getting it for $.01, or the 5 free composition books with $5 purchase, or the Paper Mate Black or Blue Ball point pen 10-pack for $.10, or the Dixon #2 Pencils 10 pack for $.10 on the list?
Personally I don’t want to tie up another $34 in max rewards to get the Boise 10 ream case of paper since I just recently joined Max Perks and made rewards purchases on July 6th and have yet to see my rewards. Apparently I won’t see them to the end of August s I’m missing out on using them to roll and get some of these recent deals. I’d rather get the 500 sheet ream for $6.99, less of my money tied up. I think I’m liking Stapes Easy Rebates better than Max perks since at least with Staples Easy Rebates you get the money back and don’t have to use it to buy more. There is only so much i want tied up in Max Perks to roll. No acorns?

Hi – The deals seem to be regional as my Atlanta ad has not matched up to the posted ads in recent weeks.  I think it all depends on when school starts…my daughters start on Thursday.

        • LuvCpns

The Atlanta ad does have the $.01 paper and the free composition books though. The list posted is awfully short.

      • Asmith

        I printed 5 off 25 and   says good 8/3-8/11

        • LuvCpns

Mine says 82/-8/4 when clicked from next weeks ad. It’s tax free weekend here so maybe it will update on Sunday when the new ad actually goes into effect with dates for next week.

          • Asmith

Maybe recheck it when I click thru Jenny link and officemax website it states on page that pops up 8/3-8/11 and the actual printed page states the same. Maybe clear your cookies and it won’t recognize your computer. Good Luck.

            • LuvCpns

Yes the dates are as you said when clicked through link here. Interesting that my email for sale starting tomorrow gives different dates. Thank You.

MaxPerks Rewards do NOT roll. “Rolling” means using the store credit to buy something else that earns another store credit. That is not the case with OfficeMax. From their site’s MaxPerks Term & Conditions:
Qualifying purchases are any products or services… except for… purchases made with
        your MaxPerks rewards.

I realize you probably mean to say that you don’t want to commit to a future purchase using this earned credit. I do it for toner, and I maximize it by earning the full cost of the toner in MaxPerks rewards. That gets me the full value of the toner (~$60) in other products as a ‘bonus.’

        • CP

They DO roll.  I’ve been doing it for months.

          • Kcreviews

I just did it last week. I used $80 in rewards from an office chair I bought to buy 2 backpacks which I will also get rewards back from. It does work. It’s Office Depot that doesn’t do this.

            • Ginger

I could be wrong, but I believe that in order for them to “roll,” you have to spend some small amount of your own money OVER the amount that you already have in rewards. So, if I have 70$ in rewards, I have to make sure to spend, say, 70.02, if I want the new rewards to credit. At least, I think that’s how it works.

This isn’t even a quarter of what’s listed in my area of greenwood, sc.

OfficeMax deals are REGIONAL, so everyone please remember to check your own store’s ad on their website.  They vary more widely than usual at back-to-school time.

Went to Office Max yesterday with the Southern Savers list in hand and none of the items matched except for the backpacks.  I had also printed off the $5/$25 coupon and the cashier said they don’t honor coupons printed from home!!!  It was a frustrating experience, but we were able to put the things we did buy into the 20% off bag, so that was something.  Overall everything was way over priced IMHO.  I won’t be back.

      • Asmith

this post is for sales starting today 8/5-8/11 Sorry about your cashier I don’t believe that is true as a company policy as I have used and they tell you on their site to print it. Regular price item are way over priced but I have been happy rolling rewards without any problems

      • Amylamb1968

I know I would have been talking to a manager.  you let them off too easily and yes they are crazy expensive.  Just a couple of deals to get you in the door.
