      How do Worklife rewards work?

      • Anonymous

I have so many complaints about Office Depot (including overseas customer service nightmare), now that I have a Staples I won’t go back to Office Depot) but be aware that the rewards do not ‘roll’, meaning anytime you use coupons, gift cards, prior rewards earned to purchase anything with a reward, the amount of that reward will be reduced by the coupons, gift cards, or prior rewards, so only your absolute out of pocket will be reimbursed in rewards. Hope that makes sense!

I went to Office Depot’s website to try to understand their reward system. I am a star teacher and I would like the free items. So, I would purchase the limited number of items, and at the end of the quarter, I would bascially receive a gift certificate to the store?? Am I understanding this correctly??

I thought this is how it worked, but I bought 2 packs of water and 2 packs of batteries that are all supposed to be 100% back with with worklife rewards and even days after I have entered the purchase online, it is showing nothing due for rewards for this quarter (which ended on Sept. 30th and I bought the items early last week).

I too am a star teacher member. I decided to try the 100% rewards deals back in July. I can say that it has been a nightmare and I wont deal with them (office depot 100% rewards) again. Some advertised items were credited to my account but others weren’t and their customer service responses have made me feel like Alice in Wonderland.

According to my experience, it usually takes a certain period of time for the rewards amount to be shown on your account. I don’t remember exactly, but it maybe 60 days or 90 days. You just need to be patient, but you will surely get the rewards back.
