    • Jenn

Yeah for Staples multipurpose paper!!!! Is there a limit??? Thanks!

      • Kmjs

my ad says limit of 2.

    • Kate

I was wondering the same thing. Is there a limit for the paper??

      • Alyson

Usually there is a limit of 2; the print and online ad will say though.

    • Staples deals: all of the $.01 deals are limit 2, and so is the multipurpose paper. the scotch glue gel is limit 1

      •  Thanks! I updated the list with all the limits.

    • Alicia

My Staples in Pensacola allows teachers a limit of 25 on the penny items. Just ask your Staples… You will have to show school ID!

      • Nan

I got a letter from Staples saying that teachers can get 25,BUT you pay full price over the regular limit and get the amount back in rewards :(

        • Ashlee

yes I just found this out today.. Very disappointing. I will be shopping at office max from now on.

      • Jjackson Twins

What a waste of my time. Staples and Office Depot will be losing a lot of business with teachers.

        • Ree

Yes they will, I purchased the limit and left the store heated because I normally stock up on this supplies for the my students and the church’s back to school events.

    • Renee

Are these deals just in-store or can I get these online?  Don’t have any of these stores near me but would like to get in on some of the deals.

      •  As far as I can tell these are in-store only.

    • Angelareid821

Have never done the B2S shopping. Now have a school aged child! Interested in the Staples deals. How easy are the rebates, rewards, etc?

      • Jennifer

Staples rebates are very easy. You just need your receipt and you go online and enter your info. They send you a check.

The rewards are very easy too. You sign up online and then every two or three months they email you and tell you have rewards to spend. You print out your certificate from the website and use it in the store just like an instore credit. The most important thing to remember is that you can’t earn rewards on items that you use rewards to purchase! The store employees aren’t really up on how the rewards work and will probably tell you different. Mine did once but the manager made it right later.

Good luck and happy shopping for free!

    • Amy

Hi Jenny, Thanks for all your hard work.  I was wondering if the B2S matchup lists will have the stock up deals noted with the acorn.  Please let me know.  Thanks!

      •  I forgot to add them first go round, but you should see them showing up now!

    • Ashlee

Does anyone know if office max allows you to roll rewards? I have some rewards I need to use up and I would like to put them towards items that give you back rewards… will this work?  Thanks :)

    • Chelle2377

I just brought my ads to Walmart and they matched the free folders and penny items

      • Janesy

Did you still have to do the minimum $5 purchase at Walmart too?

        • SmoochTheCook

That wasn’t enforced at my local Walmart last year…could buy any number w/out spending the $5 minimum.  Love price matching at WM!  :D

    • Coupon lover

No you can not roll your rewards at office max. If you use rewards towards an item that gives you rewards you will not get the rewards. So use rewards on items like paper  and ink.

      • Vickylsmith

At OfficeMax you can. I’ve been doing it for awhile.

    • Just made money at Staples!
      Bought:
      2/each of $.01 deals=$.06
1 scotch super glue=2.99 after instant savings, submit 2.99 rebate
2 staples multipurpose reams of paper= 6.99/ea- submit 6.74 rebate
1 HP photo paper 9.49- submit 8.99 rebate
      1 2013 desktop calendar 4.99- submit 4.99 rebate

was .07 shy of $30, so also got .50 pencil case

      used $5/$30 store Q

Paid: 27.09 with tax and will receive 30.45 through easy rebates. Made $3.36 and have some needed supplies for my classroom.

Can’t wait to get those checks in the mail…

      • guest1

Just wondering if the rebate will be $30.45 or since the receipt shows an adjusted amount due to the $5, will it be $5 less (like what we paid)

        • anna

I was wondering the same thing…..

        • Hmmm… don’t know for sure, but hey, at least it covered the tax.  Will let you know when I get my checks. When i track the progress, it shows $30.45

        • Amy B.

The easy rebate amounts won’t change regardless of coupon use!

    • Ed In Ncarolina

Forgot to print the $5 off $30, but had a great trip to Staples. Used my rewards and will be getting it back in rebates to my PayPal account. Also made a great start on the Franklin Graham Christmas shoe box supplies.

    • amy

My OfficeMax had the Expo dry erase markers B2G1 free @ 5.49/each, plus a $5/3 coupon tearpad making the final cost 5.98 for 3 packs.  Seems like a great price on these since my school specifically requests that brand!

    • Savingmymoney2012

Staples have changed their teacher rewards program. Instead to purchasing 25 items for .01 each at the register for educators, you can only purchase 2 items for a penny and the other 23 at regular price then rewarded back on your reward card later. I want my reward now not later.

      • Nan

I agree ….I hope this hurts them…. I certainly will be shopping at their competitors that haven’t changed their policies!

        • SmoochTheCook

Wow, and I was so impressed that they were generous w/ teachers (should be that way for all they do), but that’s harsh.

      • missriza

Have you tried price matching some of the sale items at Walmart? I know they are not consistent from store to store on how they treat savers, this may be something to try. I hope this helps because I like to donate school supplies to the schools.

    • ireneY

Little bit of a treasure hunt at Staples today, but was eventually able to find everything on my list, except the Bic dry erase pens. I can’t believe they are also offering the $5/$30 in-ad in addition to all the deals! You could use the $5/$25 from OfficeMax as competitors for a lower OOP, but it seems to throw off the registers and cashier equally. Guess they’re not used to the coupon stackers! Lol!

    • teacher

As a teacher, I am not pleased with the change in Staples’ policy about paying full price for 23 penny items – my bill was over $60 (!) and I only got 23 of one of the penny deals. I did get a $10 savings pass for 15% off (once a day) until September, so maybe that will help.
At Office Max – as a previous poster had stated, they have buy two get one free on Expo markers. There is a $5 off coupon when you buy three (I think it was three) so I paid about $2 each for a four pack of Expo markers – not bad. There was also $5 off $25 coupon in my weekly ad.

    • Tealscoupons

I am VERY disappointed in the change in Staples policy to no longer allow teachers a larger quantity of the penny item.  I am a teacher in South Carolina, we get paid below the national average and our governor Nikki Haley just vetoed a bill to increase our salary.  I looked forward to the penny sales every summer to stock up on supplies that I turn around and give to my poverty stricken students.  Because of the support I felt from Staples in years past I always promote them with other teachers and go there first for any office supply need.  NO LONGER.

      • Kaoscasa

I totally agree with you.  I’m going into my 4th year of NO pay increase.  You can better believe that there have been other price increases in these past 4 years in gas, food, electricity, etc.  I too buy for my students who are in a low income area.  I need to start looking at the deals at other office supply stores now.

      • JennyK

Is this a policy change as of this year? Last year I was able to get 25 items for a penny with a $5 purchase…

      • ab

Actually, Haley voted to approve the permanent 2% increase and only vetoed the one-time $10 million increase.

    • Tealscoupons

If you want to complain or ask them to change it back you can call
      800.338.0252 ext. 4

    • Still Gratefull

So does Staples really care that they aren’t losing money anymore selling items at a penny?  Do you think that they are making money on those items?  They only make money if you buy other items.  I would just be happy that they are willing to rebate the money back on the other 23 items.  That is still a big help.

      • Alicia

I was told by our manager that it isn’t guaranteed all back… It’s between 5%~100% and they don’t know which item will give what percentage back. :( so you might buy 2 at the penny price and 23 others at the regular price and only get 5% back. Wish we knew ahead of time what we were getting back. I work at a low income school, so I usually end up having to supply my students’ supplies and then my 4 school age kids supplies. The Staples penny items helped last year when I could get 25 of each item.

    • Cjmilburn06

So upset about the policy change at staples for teachers. I teach at a low income school and used all those deals last year to give my students supplies throughout the year who could not afford new ones. I went out of my way to go get the this year because it is 20 min away and was informed of the new way when I got there. I will be shopping where I can get the best deals with higher quantities.
