FYI, since I do this a lot, you do not get rewards on the free item which you already assumed. Just confirming it for you.

I was wondering how this worked. I have a member number and some rewards on my account from recycling toner. I don't really understand their program. So, if I get the items that state free after rewards we don't get any rewards towards it but just the amount to make that item free?? confused..sorry :(

I've used Max Perks three times and only paid for the first batch. I buy it all online and make sure to purchase very close to $50. (Over $50 is free shipping.) I only pay any slight overage from the previous transaction. I have current rewards on my account from the last transaction I made in Oct. using rewards. I talked with a customer rep prior to my last transation and they said the scenario I presented here is perfectly legit. They even checked with a supervisor to make sure.

The ad shown says it is good online only.

How do you get the B2G1 to work? When I put in Qty 3, the subtotal shows up at 3 x the each price.

When you have Office Max rewards, can you flip them like Staples, or is it like Office Depot where you can't get rewards on products you purchased with rewards?

    • Teresa

I bought 4 of each of the B2G1 items. I think they'll award me credit for the 3 that I purchased and I'll get the 4th one for free. :)

I can't find out where these markers are Buy2Get1 free. I only see that they offer 100% back… Am i missing something? Help if you can! Thanks

      • Thanks for letting me know, it looks like they took them off promotion sometime this morning.

I found the 2 of the items with 100% reward through maxperks.com. The gel pens say they’re discontinued.

I only see “Become a Member” for MaxPerks with “Business” and “Teacher” options. If I'm not a teacher and am currently not working, under which category should I register? Or am I missing a link somewhere for the “Average Consumer?” Thanks!

      • Garlandsaver

Everyone who is not a Teacher is considered “Business”

as of right now it's showing all but the Sharpies have been “Discontinued” (not just the B2G1 sale… you can't get the product at all). :-(
Are you sure it's in-store and online as well? It says Online Only on the website. Thanks!
