Starting Friday through Sunday, 7/23 – 7/25, teachers and students get an extra 25% off their entire purchase at Old Navy. For high school and college students you must show your school id. Teachers can show their school ID or pay stub.

This discount is available in-store only. It also appears to be on top of any sale or discount already running.  Most stores marked their clearance down another 50% earlier this week so you should find some great deals!!

Note: For all the high school aged  homeschoolers out there here is a  site will an easy template to make your own School ID.  No need to miss a sale!!

This sale appears to be only for middle school and older. Elementary students are left out :-(

    • Jenaeb24

Boo to Old Navy, my 1st grader could definitely use some clothes for school.

      • Barnesfam03

so i work at ON, and we've been told is that if a child walks up to us and says they are in school, we should allow it. Each store is different, but it couldn't hurt to try. I would probably also bring in a report card. It was a corporate decision…not our fault :(

    • Wendyreevesgray

why in the WORLD would they leave out ELEMENTARY school kids? dont they need clothes also? lol and doesnt old navy have their sizes? WEIRD!!

    • Adtemple

What about elementary teachers? also, I just bought a bunch of stuff yesterday..can I take in my receipt and get the additional 25% off?

      • Barnesfam03

you can't get an adjustment on previous purchases :(

    • Cksessions

What about HOMESCHOOL TEACHERS??? I could use some new clothes but I don't have an “official” i.d.????

    • Teresa5p

I think you are reading this wrong ,hard to tell if your a student in college want to makes sure and anyone can say they are teacher, so they must show ID , but kiddo they know they are students. No ID required! I think I'm right! :)

    • Tiffany

I just assumed that all middle and elementary aged students would be obvious to identify as they will be the ones shorter than four feet, no id required. Am I giving ON too much credit on this one? Certainly the younger children wouldn't be excluded from the sale, just easier to identify. Correct?

      • Laura

Yes, its for all school aged kids. Its probably just once your an upper classman in high school, or college its harder to tell if your a 17 yr old high schooler or someone already out of school. Besides, most elementary and middle schoolers don't have school ids, so it'd be a little unfair for them to be excluded because of this.

    • Laura

According to the facebook page (WHICH IS LINKED IN THE POST) this is for all school aged children. So basically pre-k through College.

sorry- EVERYTHING I see says high school and up or nothing at all.

        • Barnesfam03

it is for ALL students, only HS and college are required to show ID

Gap has 25% off all online purchases for back to school as well. You just have to enter the code GAPBTS25 at checkout

    • E Jennylynn

Thank you for online discount code! Just used it and saved $24 :)

Any try it as a homeschooler? Couldn't you use your HSLDA membership card (that's what Barnes and Noble accepts to get you a teacher ID)?

    • Barnesfam03

FYI, we (I do work at ON) only require HS and college (and teacher) ID's to identify them as such. All elementary and middle school students will get the discount (we know they are in school). Homeschoolers are very much included in the sale too. Your HSLDA membership will work, or bring in one of your children! And it's for your entire purchase not just school clothes for the kiddos! Many people today were only going to use the discount for the kids. Hope this helps all those with questions!

Love it!!!! I saved so much money tonight. My store had all their clearance items marked with a pink tag and then you could take 50% off of that. I bought all clearance items (2 capris, 4 shirts) and my total came to $31. I showed them my teacher badge and reminded the cashier about the discount and then I owed $23 including tax. NICE! Great trip. I think I'm going back tomorrow:)
