When dining out with coupons please remember to tip your server on the full amount of the bill before the coupon is taken off. I have been couponing for years, but have also been a server for the past 8 years and it’s sad that so many people cheat their server, who is only making $2.13 per hour because they tip on the total after the coupon. The coupon can save you a lot of money, but it is intended to save on the cost of food, not the tip.

I strongly second this. Just because you use a coupon, doesn’t mean that the server did any less work . Be honest and tip based on the full amount. Better yet, add a little extra and share your savings joy.

The $10 card when you buy $50 at Outback is a good deal if you are already going. Buy it before your dinner and use it to pay for dinner. I do this a lot around the holidays when multiple places offer deals like this.
