There is a new Procter & Gamble rebate that covers purchases made through the rest of the year.  Buy $50 in participating products and get a $15 Visa Card after you submit a mail in rebate.  The rebate is valid on any purchases made 10/15 through 12/31.

Participating items are:

CoverGirl, Pantene, Secret, Venus, Ivory, Herbal Essences, Aussie, Clairol, Safeguard,
Olay, Crest, 3D White Whitestrips, Always, Tampax, Head & Shoulders or Vidal Sasson

Some important fine print to note – the $50 purchase is after all coupons and discounts.  There is also a limit of one rebate per person/address.  You have until January 31 st to mail your rebate in.

Tip: The best way to get this rebate will be with multiple receipts across multiple stores.  They aren’t able to see coupons used on large purchases, so if I go into the grocery store and grab a few items each time as part of large trips you are good to go!  You don’t however want to go to CVS buy everything in one transaction and pay with a bunch of rewards.  If your total is less than $50 they will reject it.

Why did they change it to it has to be 50 before coupons?

      • Toni Woodbury

Second of all, I suppose P&G sees how much we save, and thinks, “WOW, surely these people can spit out a little bit more out-of-pocket on our products, so why don’t we ask them do it?” I wonder if they are doing it just to see if it will work. I wouldn’t fault them for it. They have to pay higher insurance premiums for their employees now, under Obamacare, and that money has to come from an increase in sales. Money doesn’t grow on trees (unless you are the Federal Reserve).

I personally think it is a deal-breaker, though. I probably won’t be as apt to push myself anywhere near the $50 mark any more.

OBAMA CARE? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WE HAVE TO PAY OUR INSURANCE OUT OF POCKET. THANKS GOD WE ARE GOING TO HAVE AT LEAST INSURANCE, NOT WITH REPUBLICANS. I DONT THINK THIS IS THE FORUM FOR THAT. IGNORANT.

First of all, the economy is bad for everyone. Most people are being hit hard by government theft and interference. Everything is going to cost more and more out-of-pocket. P&G needs increased sales to fund the high costs of Obamacare.

      Jenny,
Yesterday,I purchased $126ish dollars worth of stuff (including the Olay Regenerist 1.7oz cream for $24.99) from CVS. My subtotal was $30.98. Can I still use this receipt towards this rebate?

    • jaime

so it can be multiple receipts?

    • Joe Gamez

There is 8 places to write the UPC code. What do you do if that doesnt add up to $50 and you need to add more UPC codes?

      • Toni Woodbury

If there are large enough margins on the form, neatly list your excess UPCs and product information in the margin, and draw and arrow from the bottom of your first list of UPCs to the top of your succeeding list, or write P&G a note of explanation.

Jenny, is there a way to enlarge form? I have tried to enlarge before printing but it still prints too small to read.

Use more than 1 copy if you have more than 8 items which i am sure we will. I had the total OOP $ issue with the Pantene age defy a while back. They looked at the bottom line after ecbs I was so mad! The P&G coupons did not take it under the value but the ecbs did. grrrr

Do they consider use of cvs ecb? I purchased 5 Olay wipes on sale for $3.99. Used $4/$20 and coupons of $9. Owed $7 plus tax. Used ecb to pay. Total owed = $0 . Will they allow this receipt at all? Do they consider ecbs coupons or discounts?

      • Toni Woodbury

Even though ECBs are like store cash and are NOT the same as coupons, and even though ECBs are not the same as a sale price on P&G products, I think that P&G will reject a receipt such as yours. Maybe they don’t have time to go through every receipt with a fine tooth comb.

I am glad that we know that in the future we should not waste ECBs on P&G products if we are wanting to do the visa card deal. This new rule might be a total deal-breaker for some, though.

I don’t understand why they can’t see qs in a large transaction. Don’t you have to submit receipts

This has to be sent by the 31st of January- I already mailed mine because it must be received by Jan 31st
