Piggly Wiggly is the only grocery store in my town, which is why I was looking forward to their specials this week. Not enough to keep me in town. Maybe some Olay & chicken breasts. They really need to do better than this if they want to earn my business.

    • tarabj

Each store has a different flyer as most of the Piggly Wigglys are franchaises. Make sure to go to http://www.thepig.net (In the Carolinas) to see what your store will be carrying. Mine has sales on Nabisco, Kraft, Tylenol & Banquet dinners & I know I have coupons for these. I am going to try to get a master list for the N. Charleston Piggly Wiggly (Festival Center) matched with coupons from the Post & Courier sometime today and I will share it if anyone needs.

      • Abbybabe126

        I'm definitely interested!

      • Susie

        Please share. I'm very interested!

    • Kristin

I only shop piggly wiggly occasionally. Does each order count as a visit or is it 10 per day? Do they take internet coupons? How do you redeem greenbax…bring the items to customer service?

      • Suemh

When I shop there and am buying an item that is offered as a “greenbax special” the cashier asks me do I want to use Greenbax to pay for it. This is in the regular checkout line.

      • Renee

They do take internet coupons. I used some their today and yes, like Suemh said, the cashier will ask you if you want to use your greenbax, assuming you've already accumulated them. If you haven't, then you'll need to make two transactions.
        Hope this helps!

      • pharmSCgirl

The only internet coupons they don't take is if they are for a free item or B1G1 Free. Although this may vary by store, that's the policy for several if not all here in Columbia,SC

    • marie

      does the Pig double coupons?

      • They do not double coupons.

it took some of my formatting away, if you want an original copy with links, email me at diorganized(at)gmail.

    • Missy

I did really well this morning with approx 42.00 oop + a cart full of groceries + earned $82.00 in FREE GAS. I consider it like $40.00 in overage that I'm using at the pump….FANTASTIC! The only draw back was that I had to be really picky about the Q's that I used as their prices are very high.

      • tarabj

Doing the coupon matchup was frustrating because I knew the coupons would get me things cheaper elsewhere, but then I kept saying, “Its like another 1.50 off that product” to myself.

        • Amy B.

Why $1.50? I thought it is 1 free greenback for each coupon?

          • tarabj

Each book of greenbax is equal in value to $1.50. At the end of the month, you can get $15 in groceries for each 10 greenbax books. Or you can use the money towards gas at PW gas stations.

            • pharmSCgirl

Also, you can redeem them for different products through the greenbax catalog. You can find it on their website. If you potentially went everyday for the month of Feb. you would have 280 points and could get some stuff out of the catalog. A lot of people probably prefer the free groceries and gas and I don't blame them!

    • Jeanne

Prosperity, SC Pig does take internet coupons but they say they are very strict with them. If they look fake, they will not take them. (The person who answered the phone said that they need to be printed on a good printer) AND they do not double at this store….just wanted to give head ups….I am going to take the day and think about whether I want to deal with the PIG or not.

    • JBC

Are they 1 greenback or 1 book of greenbax? The Marque at the one beside my Publix said it was the sale price with 1 book of stamps. Do they give you one book per q? I have not really done greenbax since they were lick and stick! Thanks!

      • Paige

They are not lick and stick anymore. Everytime you use your PFc card, they keep track of it electronically and it prints at the end of your receipt.

    • Anna

Do you have to use 10 coupons all in one transaction to get the 10 greenbax or is it after you have use a total of 10 coupons in a couple of transaction? I went today to get a couple of things and used three coupons and only ended up with .06 greenbax points. I guess I am confused on how this program works since I do not shop her….HELP!!!!

    • stacie

Do not know if anyone has the Hershey candybar B1G1f but they are 2 for 1 …. so you spend 50 cent and get a greenbax

    • BethPriest

In the stores there are $1 off coupons for the rotiserrie chkn and so you use one greenback to get it for $1.99 then use $1 off coupon and then earn your greenback right back. greenbacks are valued at about $1.50 a book. I saw today in Charleston u can use 17 greenbacks to purchase a $25 gift card to the stores in Tanger Outlets! so cool!

      • Did you actually use the $1 off chicken coupon? I assume this would be a store coupon and not sure whether it would get the Greenbax. Very curious if this worked for you. $0.99 rotisserie chickens is almost too good to believe. I was already planning on buying a few of these – I might clean them out if this works.

        • just got back – the are a Tyson chicken manufacturer coupon and can be used with the 1 Greenbax deal. However, it did beep and require a manager override.

    • emma

YAY!!! I have been wanting hoggly woggly matchups!! Thank you!!

    • NURSEMURRAY

I am not usally a shopper of the the Pig, but today I picked-up a few things we wanted for supper tonight just to give it a try. Here is how I did:

      1 box Mueller Fettichine – $1.39, 1 Rotissere Chicken – $5.99, 1 Gallon Milk – $3.59,
      1 4-pk Bryers Yogurt – $2.59, 1 Gallon Bryers Ice Cream – $4.99
      TOTAL COST = $18.55
Saved $10.59 w/Greenbax + $4.99 (free Ice Cream Coupon I found on the ground going into the store!!!)
      TOTAL OOP = $3.82

BONUS: I ALSO GOT 5.5 GALLONS OF GAS FREE W/GREENBAX!!!!

I started with 13 Greenbax and used them ALL. I guess I need to go back with some coupons so I can earn more Greenbax.

PS: My recpt. says “Bonus GBX with Coupon: 1.00 GBX. I don't think there is such a thing as “books” anymore. I earned 1 for my coupon and .04 for my purchases. HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL!!

    • Kristin

Has anyone done more than 1 order in the same day and gotten greenbax for coupons? I can only get to the stoe one day, and would like to do more than one order while I'm there.

      • NURSEMURRAY

Today I went to the Pig in Ladson and the flyer there states “Use up to 10 Mfg. coupons per visit”. I guess if you “visit” the store 3 times you should be able to use 30 coupons for 30 GBX.

      • I went to the Pig on Forest Drive in Columbia and tried to do two orders. The first worked fine but the second showed my balance as unavailable. So, I went to customer service and they looked it up and I was only credited with the bonus Greenbax for the first sale. The manager credited me 10 Greenbax without any issue but I'll assume from hereon that I am only supposed to do 1 order a day.

    • Megan

Has anyone else had problems with the Pig accepting manufacture coupons? A friend and I both had this problem that we had perfectly valid coupons and they just would not accept them because they would not scan. Also, once checking my receipt, not all the GB were posted so I had to back to the service counter.

    • mariek

Have a Q for $10 off of $40- good at one store only. So I'm going to try to go out and use some Q's. Bummed that I used my smithefield Q's at publix already. Would have ended up being the same price at piggly wiggly and would have gotten GBX. Think I will get pediasure since I have Q's for those and that will help me get closer to the $40 mark.

Where can we find a flyer to see what is on sale? I don't get one in the mail and can't find one on the website???

      • mariek

Never mind. Found the ad link under post from tarabj. Thanks!

    • Steph

Our Mr. K's Pig in Summerville SC will not take internet coupons. Has anyone else had this problem?

    • Megan

Yes, Rotisserie Chickens are going to be 1.99 each with one book of greenbax, and some stores will furnish a manufactures coupon making the Chickens .99 each and the coupon will indeed earn you a “book” of greenbax. This will be going on until the 23rd and we will have greenbax days at the end of the month. Some stores…are not company owned and may not participate (orangeburg, North Main, Beltline, Lugoff, Camden, etc.). The 10$ off 40$ were part of a mailer for specific stores, and CAN ONLY BE USED AT THESE STORES. I have been buying a chicken everyday! Pig Shopper & Employee

    • mariek

Did pretty good this week. Spent $40 used my $10 off PW coupon that came in the mail and used 8 coupons for $1 off each so $8 more off. Paid a little over $20 oop and got 8 Green backs that I will save for the end of the month GB promo. : )

    • pig shopper

Let me start off by telling you I am a coupon shopper and a pig shopper. I am pig employee as well. If you never shop pig or check out the ads shame on you. You are missing some great deals. Answer to some of your questions is yes pig does take internet coupons. The only store I know of that does not is Mr K's in summerville. You get one book for every coupons scanned. Up to 10 per visit. So if you want to use more go thru the line again it is ok. Some coupons do not work because of upc coding on the coupons (very few) but if you go to the cust. service counter they will add it on for you. Really guys watch the ads pig is not higher on everything. Try festival center pig in north charleston.

    • coupon shopper

I shopped Mr. K's pig and used oned coupon and did not get the book of greenbax. My friend was with me and she did not either. I asked the manager and he said I had to call the warehouse. Who has time to keep calling. They take coupons but does not double any. Publix is still number one.

      • pig shopper

As my comment stated except Mr K summerville he is an independant store and does not I repeat does not follow company policy. Try festival center they rock.

    • ash4usc09

LOL I am so confused by the Greenbax deals! I am obviously not a pig shopper as there is not one near me but when Jenny first posted this, it seemed like a great opportunity so I planned to make a trip. But now I'm just confused. Can someone explain exactly what I would need to do in order to take full advantage of this promo. I would visit a Columbia, SC or nearby location and like I said before, have NEVER shopped there so I don't have any existing GB or anything like that.

      • All you need to do is take 10 manufacturers coupons which will earn you 10 Greenbax (This is 1 per coupon – you do not have to redeem 10 – that is the maximum). A Greenbax is worth $1.50 towards any groceries during Greenbax days but can be worth much more during special promotions. The current deals on ribeyes and chickens make the Greenbax worth anywhere from $4.00 to $5.00 a piece. The key is to find items that work out to less than $1.50 after coupon. Think frozen vegetables and other relatively inexpensive items. While some are reporting that you can make multiple trips in a day this was not my experience. Since the Greenbax system is independent of the individual stores I would not think this is an individual store issue.

        • King Jumungus

Last night, I shopped and got 10 books on one order, and 5 on the next. I just seperated my order by my coupons. No problems. I'm sittin pretty with 65.02 Greenbax and I still have 13 days to get more!

          • tlofton

At the Forest Drive store in Columbia my second trip through in a day did not credit me any books for my coupons. When I took my receipt to customer service they were very courteous and credited me the 10 books, but told me that it was a limit of 10 per day. This store also rang the Tyson chicken coupon as a store grocery coupon so didn't get credit for those. I haven't tried to go twice in a day elsewhere since I drive past a Pig everyday – I won't have any problems using up all my coupons. I'm at 41 books and counting.

          • amyt

Shopping the Pig in Lexington, SC.
I also separated my order and was able to get 10 + 5 Greenbax. I am loving these deals, but remain somewhat disappointed in my Pig's limited selection and mostly high prices. Also, when I went to buy ham last week, they had “sell by” dates of January. That isn't the only expired, or nearly expired item I have found. I am hoping a trip to the Devine street store tomorrow is a better shopping experience.
            amyt

        • pig shopper

You can use more than 10 coupons just seperate your order. It does work but they must scan your pfc card first. The flyer reads per visit not per day. It really works just make sure they scan you card first.

      • kingjumungus

It's pretty easy! There are independent Piggly Wiggly stores in Columbia, (Beltline comes to mind) and since this promotion is for company stores, you may need to be wise in choosing a Pig (Devine St., Clemson Rd., Forest Dr., The one heading to Lake Murray are all company stores.) If you don't have a Pig Card, you'll need one. Head to the customer service desk and they will sign you up. Then, shop for your coupon items. There is a limit of 10 Bonus Greenbax per transaction so make sure you split up your order if you have more than 10. Make sure they scan your pig card first thing. After you've paid, look at the bottom of the receipt. It should show your previous balance(which should be 0.00 if you've never shopped there before!) Then it'll show how many you earned on your total purchase amount, and it'll show your Bonus GBX, which should equal the amount of coupons you used. Lastly, it will give you a new greenbax total. Hope this helps anyone with questions!

    • I hope I am not stepping on any toes. I have already knocked out the coupon matchup for this weeks circular. I am a little disappointed that they aren't changing the Greenbax specials. I grabbed 4 more chickens yesterday looking forward to all new specials.

Thanks so much for posting this. I have only been shopping the pig because of the end of month deal and having the coupon match-ups is extremely helpful. I went in last week to buy 10 items with coupons and it took me nearly 40 minutes to find something to buy! I was unfamiliar with the store layout and the prices did seem high to me. I just told my self that for each coupon I used, there will be $1.50 in free groceries at the end of the month!

Just so everyone will Know the Piggly wiggly stores in Orangeburg have a huge sign posted on the door as you walk in that says NO INTERNET COUPONS ACCEPTED. Also they give me problems when something is on sale and they will not take a coupon for it. They say coupons are only for regular price items. they are very uneducated in the coupon shopping world

      • pig shopper

Jo I am not sure if this is a company store or not. If it is a company store the company policy is we do accept internet coupons. We also do take coupons for sale items. I can't believe they told you that. Thats crazy. If you know that it is a company store call 843-552-2848 and let them know you are having problems with coupons and they will fix it for you. Good Luck

        • Jo

Thanks pig shopper. I know it is independently owned. The owner is , lets say, very tight with his money. Being in a small town, it's easy to know these things.
