Will this coupon work at Publix with the tampons when the coupon says its for “Sports pads, liners or combo packs” not specifically tampons?

      • dawg4

Looking at the $4/2 store coupon shown in the Publix personal flyer ad, there is a photo of the Playtex “combo packs”, along with other varieties. My guess is that the store coupon will be compatible with the BOGO MQ. However, I seriously doubt the price of the combo packs will be the $4.49/pack. I’m thinking the $4.49 price applies to the smaller quantities of pads and liners. But it may be a good value even at the higher price.

I stopped by Publix yesterday, and the Playtex combo packs are $7.99/ea., so if you buy 2, use the BOGO coupon and the $4/2 SQ, it comes out to $2/each. I think the combo packs have 28 tampons and a similar count of either liners or pads. If you bought the smaller boxes of tampons only at $4.49/ea. you could use two $1off MQ and one $4/2 SQ, which comes to about $1.49/ea. for about 14-16 tampons/box. I think the first scenario is a better value.

I made two separate purchases using the BOGO and $4/2 SC. The first purchase was two combo packs @ $7.99/box, which came to $3.99 (appx. $2/box). On my second transaction I tried the 18ct Sport tampons @ $4.49 each, and the BOGO automatically came up as $7.99. That was a $3.01 MONEYMAKER! I assure you that the cashier was never prompted to enter an amount for the BOGO and it came up as $7.99 each time.

The BOGO coupon is not to be used on just tampons. It says pads, liners or combo packs.

I did this at Publix with the big boxes. They were $7.99. Got 6 for $11.97 before tax. Still a really good deal! And I did just tampons.
