There’s a reason the Purina litter system is $10 off.  It’s not very good.  I thought it seemed like a really great idea, so I got three or four of them (I forget which, since this was a while ago).  I have four cats, so I thought this would be better than scooping poop and buying TONS of litter all the time.  It worked okay for a little while, but then one of my cats decided she didn’t like them.

The litter boxes are in the garage, but she went across the house and started peeing in the corner by the front door.  As hard as we tried to clean the carpet (I finally gave up and poured straight up bleach directly onto the carpet), we could not get her to stop or the smell of urine to go away.  We finally tore the carpet up and installed wood floors.

I found out that you can wash the pellets to make them last even longer, but you have to change the pads a lot.  Since it’s just sitting there collecting urine, it smells if you don’t change them super quick.

I also found that the pellets and the pads became harder and harder to find at the stores.

I really don’t think it’s worth it, maybe others have had a better experience, but just a heads up to anyone thinking of trying them out.

I wanted to offer my review of the Breeze system as I absolutely love it. Granted, I only have one cat though. I love that the pellets are used and you dont find yourself stepping all over tiny pieces of litter everywhere. With only one cat, I have found the pads can last up to 2 weeks, just depending on how much your cat goes, etc. It’s overall cleaner and less annoying to me than regular clay-litter box. I don’t think it’s fair that the below reviewer said the litter system isn’t very good based on the fact that one of her cats didn’t like it. We can’t change their minds sometimes, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good product! My little boy is a finicky, picky one, but he didn’t mind it at all.

If you have a different opinion, that’s fine.  As I stated below- “maybe others have had a better experience, but just a heads up to anyone thinking of trying them out.”  This was just my experience.  If yours was different- great!  However, I don’t think it’s fair for you to criticize my review just because it’s different from yours.  We all have different experiences and are entitled to share them- that’s the whole point of reviews.

Wow – sorry to upset you. I didn’t comment because I disagree, it was the fact that you said “it’s not very good” based on the fact your 1 cat didn’t like it. Anyway, sorry to upset you – was just offering my own opinion so that others know for some, it does work! :)

I bought this system last year, also with a $10 off coupon. We had recently adopted a stray who was primarily an outdoor cat. Well, the cat would not use it, even if I placed treats near it. I then bought the cheapest plastic litter box and litter on sale at Publix. The cat went right to it. I ended up selling the Breeze at a garage sale for $2.
