Thank you very much!! How did you know I was just sitting here staring at the screen trying to build a new menu plan for the last two days?:) Thanks so much for the boost I needed. I don't know how you do all this for us, but I am very very grateful.

    • Cjconnor

Thanks! I need menu sale ideas. I'm still new to couponing so it is hard for me to put a meal together with sale items. This was a great post!!

    • Herndonquqad

wow, I wish all of the grocery stores would do this from their sales. Wish we had a publix in Florence

    • JaxCinderella

      Another meal idea:

2 pkgs of any variety pasta
      some tomatoes
      some black olives
      some vinegrette (kraft dressing)…

      cheap pasta salad!

    • Angel24_ga

there is also a website called cooking by numbers that lets you put in your items and it will give you options for recipes using what you have

    • Cmt261

YOU ARE THE BEST!…i cant tell you how many times people stop me at Publix and WOW at my coupon book and organization, not to mention my “cheap” receipts! I have referred so many to this site! We share the same passion for frugality! Thank you for all you do!

    • Ben

“(1) French-fried onions 6 oz. can – (not on sale)”

But there is a coupon: http://www.homesolutionsnews.us/offers.shtml

    • Linda

      Jenny,

I have a problem trying to buy meat because the prices are never as low as your suggested “buy price.” Sometimes Publix here in Merritt Island, FL does have chix breast for $1.99/lb. and I'll stock up but rarely are there good prices on steaks, roast, etc. Do you truly stick to the “buy price” shopping list.

Listed above split chicken breast at $1.69/lb. would you buy it when your “buy price ” is .99/lb. and the ribeye steaks at $6.99/lb and your “buy price” for beef steaks are $4.50/lb.

I don't often see my Publix with prices that low. Any suggestions would help.

I would love to see menu ideas for Harris Teeter or Bi-Lo. I love the menu ideas idea!

    • Becky

I'm glad you put this together because, try as I might, I can't seem to get the idea of “building a pantry” and NOT shopping for each week through my friend's minds! Several of them say “I just can't seem to save as much as you do, Becky” and it's because they go and buy everything they will consume for the next week all at once.

Even with my modest stockpile, I could not shop for probably the next two months and still make healthy, well-balance meals. I'd sure miss the fresh produce though!

    • shelleyschu

Thanks Jenny — there are also some great buys on frozen veggies at Kroger this week. Or stockpile your canned goods or frozen veggies to add your “five a day” to your menu.

    • Cher1971

Thanks so much for the menu ideas. Not only is it nice to have ideas for what is on sale but I am sooo happy to have new ideas for dinner. I am looking forward to more ideas!

    • Butterflydarbi

One thing I would love to do is figure out how to implement my stockpile into my meals. Is there anyone who'd be willing to do this on the website weekly?

      • Wvarner2000

        Butterfydarbi,

I shop at Harris Teeter and Bi Lo and I would love help making meals out of the sale items + coupons for these items. I have searched and cannot find a website that does that. I end up having a lot of stuff but get stumped as to what to prepare for dinner. Or I am sometimes missing just one or two items that I could have gotten while at the store. Is that the challenge you have?
