Is there a limit on these deals? I'm thinking of the Classico Pasta Sauce.

      • dianebenatar

This will be great – with the B1G1, $1.00 off, $1.50 off beef and the free publix sauce – but I'm pretty sure it is one at a time, at least.

      • megan

        Yes, 1 deal per transaction/visit.

    • connorandlucysmom

Do we need to bring a coupon or something from the weekly ad to get this deal, or will they automatically deduct the amount at the register?

      • megan

Agree with Jill…. Most stores have an end-cap display. No coupons or weekly ad needed but of course coupons for the items on sell to get them even cheaper. However, call your store and make sure they are participating. I called mine and they didn’t know anything about it but there store online at Publix.com says they are. Soooo headquarters is looking into that one for me. My Publix is in Owens Cross Roads, AL (Hampton Cove Center).

        • alison v.

Nice lady at my store in Chattanooga said the deal started tomorrow or something. I wasn't going to argue with her.

      • Jill

Mine have always been automatic, but I would make sure to check it just in case.

        • jazsmom

The store I went to yesterday had absolutely NO advertisement about the b1g1 nat. vs. store brand thing. I brought it up on my iPhone (which is awesome to have this site with me while shopping btw!)The grocery clerck I asked, and showed her the tiny picture of the deal on the publix site said it didn't matter- any classico with any publix premium sauce.
I used a $1.50 off 2 classico, and a coupon for a free box of pasta wyb 2 classico (that I didn't see on a jar when classico was b1g1) and got the publix sauce, ronzoni bowties, and publix bowties for free.
One of the few deals I used this week- so at least that was something!

          • jazsmom

oh- forgot to say- the nat vs store brands came up automatically.

    • miatd

this is great..going buy a ton of the classico stuff as long as there is no limit…thanks jenny!

      • megan

It's a deal per customer. You can go back, but one deal per transaction. :(

    • bhflood

Does anyone have a zipcode for the $1.50/2 classico coupon at coupons.com? It's not showing up for me. Thank you!

      • megan

It worked for me at, 35763

    • melynn

I just did the deal today. I used the B1G1 classico coupon plus the $1.50 off of one classico and the deal is for the Publix's Premium Pasta Sauce for free. Only allowed one deal per trans./customer. Got all three jars for about half of the price of one!

    • Christy

I'm not not really getting this. Do I get one of the name brand and one of the store brand? Please help!

      • Suemh

You buy the name brand, then get the store brand for free.

    • mem

COLA Gervais Publix had no idea of this offer. They actually let me do it on sheer faith, but they made me buy similar items of spaghetti sauce. So both Classico and Publix were mushroom varieties. But I was able to do the BOGO Classico coupon + save $1.50 off beef + free jar of Publix sauce for around $4.00 (meat was orig $2.97).

    • jrhteacher22

Don't forget the Public coupon ($0.55 off one) for Wishbone dressing from the Savings & Service for Your Life booklet

    • GAJulie

Can you do one pasta deal and one salad dressing deal in the same transaction?

    • Melissa

I plan on using the BOGO Classico Q, so if I buy 2 classicos do I get two publix brands?

      • DonnaTN

No, because the B1g1 Classico coupon is for 1 white sauce and 1 red and the publix deal is when you buy classico's red sauce so you would only get 1 free publix brand. Unless your Publix is advertising ANY sauce…HTH.

        • SharinLife

Donna, I thought that was how that would work, since the Classico Q says you must “buy” a Classico White Sauce and then get a red sauce free …and… the deal at Publix says you must “buy a Classico Sweet Basil “red sauce” and get a Publix red sauce for free. So using the B1G1 Classico Q won't work with that deal. ..Wish I had a $1/Q/1 Classico as well as the B1G1.

Hey! I have question. Who thinks making homemade spaghetti sauce would be cheaper than buying it in the jar? My husband and I were discussing this the other night — he thinks it would be more expensive to buy homemade. What do you think?

          • SharinLife

**In my previous reply… I meant to say: ….he thinks it would be more expensive to make the sauce homemade….

    • DonnaTN

I was there last night and it said on a specific Classico sauce, I believe it was the Sweet Basil and Tomato because I was going to do it with the B1G1 coupon. And I didn't do it…And now that I'm thinking about it more…(it was late and near closing time so wasn't really thinking straight! LOL) But the coupon says buy a white sauce and get a red one free so you would get the Classico free PLUS Publix's brand as well. *sigh* I think I may retire going at night! It was however at the end cap and where the spaghetti sauces were in the aisles. They also had a coupon for $2 off Kingsford Charcoal along with their booklets so makes it 4.99 plus get the free hidden ranch, bbq, glade, kc & $2 off meat!! Great deal!!

      • Mary

What booklet was the $2 off Kingsford Charcoal in? And, do you know where you got the other coupons (for hidden valley, bbq, glade, kc & meat)?? I was able to find one of them in my inserts but haven't found the others. Thanks!

        • DonnaTN

It's not really a booklet I would guess, but it's called 'It's time for the flavor of the grill'. Just go to the Publix ad that Jenny has for this week for the free Glade, Hidden Valley, Kc bbq, $3 off meat. I thought there was another bbq one but there isn't! There was a $2 off wyb charcoal in the inserts, not sure date or insert. Also make sure you Publix will let you use all those coupons with the charcoal. HTH!

          • DonnaTN

I don’t know why it is I keep saying Glade when it’s Glad!! Also for those of you that weren’t able to get the 1.50/2 Classico, there’s a coupon here you can get and also there’s .75/1 Mission Soft Tortilla which are on sale at Publix for B1G1 this week! I didn’t really put in a zip since it came right up anyways. Also they are manufacturer coupons and doesn’t have anything with Kroger on it. http://print.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=13223&zid=he00&nid=10&bid=alk0429110417695077c985319

    • TinkBrown

How much is the Classico sauce? Checking to see if I should get these here or at Winn Dixie which has them B1G1F. I only have the $1.50/2 coupon.

      • DonnaTN

        It was 2.55 at mine

    • sharinlife

Publix (at least where I shop) has a restriction. You must buy Wishbone “Italian” and get a free Publix “Italian”. Also, same with Classico pasta sauce. It also is restricted to (I believe) the Tomato Basil. In other words–the deal is not open for any flavor you want. The check out girl and the store manager didn't even know the deal was available. There was a small notice near each of the products. Thankfully, the people behind me in line weren't too impatient. This is a pretty good deal with coupons~but Ken's dressing is B1-G1.

    • diane

I did this once and it worked great. I got the 2 classico sauces and 1 publix sauce and ground beef for some ridiculously small amount of money. Next time, I'm also going to get a 12 pack of corona light, Jenny-o turkey for around $5.00 and more chicken/beef to make $10.00 worth total. Then, $5.00 jenny-o rebate and $10.00 rebate for the beer/meat! WHOO-HOO!!!!!

    • For the Classico Sauce can I use a B1G1 and 1.00/2 for 2 sauces?

      • DonnaTN

No, not unles you had $1/1. The B1G1 coupon refers to one of the Classico's making one free. You would have to buy 3 to use the $1/2. HTH.

    • JULIE

i AM NEW TO THE SITE AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT BI-LO IS. WHAT IS IT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

      • SharinLife

BI-LO is a grocery store. Keep at it! The more you visit Southernsavers website and read the information, the better you'll understand how to save-save-save!!!

Hey! I have question. Who thinks making homemade spaghetti sauce would be cheaper than buying it in the jar? My husband and I were discussing this the other night — he thinks it would be more expensive to buy all of the ingredients make it homemade. One plus is less homemade would have less sodium, but it would be more time consuming. What do you think?

      • Connie F.

I can say from experience homemade is more expensive, unless you are fortunate to get the ingredients on deals with coupons. I am a diabetic and I was supposed to start making my own sauce to avoid excess sugars and sodium. too expensive for me. I will tell you however, if you wait until publix does deals on Barilla or someof the other higher priced spagehtti sauces, they tend to not have as much naughty items in them plus on sale with coupons, they are much cheaper than homemade. hth!

    • linda

      anyone know when this ends??????
