Thanks for all your hard work and your giving spirit!

    • Kristy

does any of my Fellow Greenville,SC Southern Savers know where I can find the penny item coupon? It isn't in my tribune times that I can see. I have a few things to get today and would love to get the penny item.

      • Dawn

It's on page 3A of the Greenville News.

      • Mom2teenagers

I don't know about the Greenville News but I never buy a paper because I get an e-copy of the coupon from Columbia's paper at TheState(dot)com. Go to their website and click on Electronic(pdf) copy next to the Subscribe tab. Click on the free-one day pass option and put in your info. The e-copy of the paper will open up and tab over to A2. Click on the coupon it print. I do this every week. By the way, when I print it out, I don't cut it out because it has a heading showing it was printed from The State with date and time and page number. I've had a few stores say “we don't take copies” and I just show them the heading and explain I get the e-copy of my paper and they take it. This is one more way of going Green!

        • Mom_4_Him

Be careful with this format. My dh and I do the same thing, and they accused us of “photocopying” the coupon. We are in the Greenville, SC area.

      • Debbijfr

The coupon is in the Greenville News first section.

    • Bethany W.

Can you only get one of the penny items? What is the limit?

      • Jane

It's one per customer per coupon.

      • savin4morefamily

I get two coupons as we have two local papers with the Q inside. I've been allowed to split my order and ring two separate orders at the U-Scan and use two penny item coupons before. It probably depends on the cashier and/or store. I certainly wouldn't try to get more than two (like buying multiple papers for the coupon) unless you had other family members shopping with you to do another order.

      • littlemama

I was able to get four yesterday :)

    • littlemama

I still have the toilet paper from last time it was a penny item. I love to stock up though for a penny!!! We should never run out of free toilet paper thanks to Publix and CVS!

    • Brandiward81

Does anyone know if any of the Publix in the Savannah area participate in the penny item? The richmond hill publix looked at me like i was nuts!

      • itismedia

I have recently heard that they do and that they don't. I am looking for the store manager everytime I go in now to try and pin down the answer and if so, what day, do we need the coupon and when it is in the paper if we do. I'll post if/when I find out!

    • Heather

I can't find the penny item coupon, either. Is it in the Publix ad or somewhere hidden in the paper?

      • ChrissyPunkin

It's hidden in the paper. I usually let one of my kids hunt for it for me. :-) It will say “Look what 1cent gets you” or something similar.

    • Candice

      I can't find it either….

    • Brandiward81

I have no idea. I'm not even sure if our stores require a coupon, but i'm having a hard time finding one that actually even does the penny item.

    • Tamara

The East Brainerd Publix in Chattanooga has Fruit Roll-Ups for their penny item.

      • Caitlyn

Can you tell me where to find it in the paper? I'm new to this penny item thing and I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Thanks!

        • Jennifer

In Chattanooga, it is usually somewhere in the “A” section of our local paper.

    • Nlg0001

Can you get the penny item without the coupon?

      • ireneY

I have luck in the evenings with a friendly staff that knows me well. Ask very nicely and have a full cart. :)

    • Joyceyork12

Do the Nashville area Publix stores do this? on what day? with newspaper ad? I shop there when visiting my parents and am headed that way tomorrow. Usually shop the new Mt. Juliet store.

    • Dixie ;o0)

can't ever find it in the Athens daily banner manager told me it was in there Athens ga store requires coupon even with buggy full lol

      • Brittney

Hi! I get my coupon out of the Banner Herald and it's typically on the back of the comics section. Hope that helps!

    • sarah

I found Dishwasher Magic with a “try me free” hang tag on it today at my Publix. It cost me $4.19.

      • Jackson

Organix Shampoo & Conditioners ($7.99) have hang tags on them in Duluth, GA for free mail-in rebate. Limit 1.

    • itismedia

Thanks Jenny! I just left Publix and spent 11.19 and saved 53.47! I also sent all the librarians at my local library to you. I was adding money to my print card and they told me they printed their coupons at the library too (.05 a page is cheaper than having a printer and buying ink, paper and replacing the printer every few years!). I told them to look you up, they would be impressed with your organization! About 5 of them are heading over here. Thanks again!

    • yugigi

Thanks Jenny. I'm a newbie of using coupons for grocery. does anyone know if Thomasville GA has Mystery Penny?

    • Does the Atlanta GA stores do this ? I never see it in the Morrow GA store
