I saw the water as well at this store, but when I went over to the isle where the pb is they had a sign on it too.

      • MarySC

A couple times my store had something different but when I asked (nicely) they gave me the “real” freebie… I guess they occasionally unload overstock stuff instead of doing the advertised one.  (Of course this doesn’t work when they have run out of the original freebie!!! )

    • mach

awesome, peanut butter price is increasing by up to 40% within the next month or so

    • Missthemister

If you don’t eat peanut butter, this is a great one to donate to your local food pantry.  I’ve noticed food collection drives are ramping up around here for the holidays.

      • Staci_marie

Very good point.  :)  Thanks for reminding me, I wasn’t thinking about that.

Excellent suggestion – I was planning on doing that with my pb. I volunteer at a local agency and pb is a staple item and one they are always requesting.

Does anyone know if the Tennessean has the penny item coupon in the paper on wednesday? We get it daily, but my husband usually reads it so I never know. My closest Publix is 30 minutes away, so I don’t get there much on Penny item day. So I usually don’t look for it.

      • BGriffith

Yes, I have a subscription to the Tennessean for Sunday and Wednesday, just for the purpose of couponing.  lol  Today the penny coupon is on the bottom right of page 3A.  I usually find it in about the same place in the Wed. paper.

      • GrammarDiva

According to my local Publix, you won’t actually need to start using the Q until November 1 – now that’s for the Murfreesboro Publix stores.  I’m not sure about anywhere else.

      • Trish

Yes it does have the coupon.

    • Sassy

just  letting you know that the small gillette shaving gel at cvs is giving the 2 ebc too the ad says the big one but i got small can because we are traveling i paid 2.37 got back 2 ebc nice

    • Just left Publix.  Had a great trip spent $32.50 saved $89.50.  I ran into a snag at my first Publix because they would not let me use the B1G1 Q and $1.50 Q and $3.00 Publix Q for the Axe Deal.  So I went 10 miles down the road to get the deal.  So I got two Penny Items!

Yipee! Love their natural peanut butter with no sugar added. It’s great for making Asian peanut sauces.

    • Trish

Awesome!!  Can never have too much peanut butter….especially in light of the recent news of the 40% price increase coming.

    • Danielle

This will be my first penny item experience.  Where do I even begin to look for the coupon in the Post & Courier (Charleston area)?

      • MarySC

In section A, usually on the 4th or 5th page and usually in the middle of the page somewhere. It’s a rectangular box about the size of a printable coupon that is easy to miss if you don’t know what you are looking for!

        • Beachbound63

Is it in the Wednesday paper or Thursday paper?
