Love penny items but won’t be making a special trip for this particular one today.

We have to have a coupon from the paper to get the ‘penny’ item. Our paper costs 75 cents so technically it is a 76 cents item.

Trail Mix!!! Left over m&ms and the peanuts from the BOGO!

Our Publix (LaGrange, GA) had options to choose from, the 6 pack raisins, coffee and hot chocolate packets. Intersting, I’d never seen the choices before. Also, there was a $10.00 off gas Q on the back flyer cover!!!!!

The Alabaster, AL Publix’s penny item is Publix brand saltine crackers. Perfect since it’s soup weather!

Raisins this week and coffee last week….awesome penny items.  Although the coupon was not in our paper this morning, my Publix had them stacked at the end of the counter.  Love my Publix on Hwy 96 in Kathleen, GA.

      • Janna Poitevint

We shop at the same store! lol

    • Bethsamuels

After going weekly for these penny items and not needing any sort of coupon, our Publix has changed its policy and now requires the coupon from the daily paper:(  So now it’s whether or not I want to spend 76 cents on the item each week.  Still a good deal on the raisins for sure, but I liked the old way of doing things!

I ran into the same thing in Harvest, AL. And . . . for the first time ever, a very impatient and less than curtious cashier at Publix. Even my 12 yr old commented when we left that she was rude to us.

We had Bran Flakes, not raisins. However, if you live near Fayetteville, you will find that the Wednesday paper carries Sunday’s coupons – for only $.75!!! So, I am always buying the paper anyway!

    • Bbtdwhite

The penny item is Publix Saltine Crackers in Conyers, GA :)

    • bfarley

Does anyone know if the publix’s in the Savannah, GA area participate in the penny item?

    • Daune
