I am new to coupon-saving. However, I purchased the AJC in search of the coupon for the mystery item and had difficulty finding it. Where is it?

      • Jolley1

It will be in tomorrow's paper. In the living section….2nd page.

        • MissG818

In the AJC???? I will purchase it tomorrow.

      • Prdmmy3

Not in the AJC – you can get it (at least at my Publix) in the front of the store – they have a free paper there – you can find it on the first page – bottom right.

You do need to get it from the AJC; Living section; page 2. In Atlanta we get the penny item on Thursdays.

The Publix I go to doesn't require one, but even if they did, I'm told all I have to do is ask for it at customer service. Either way, when I get the penny item, I always ask the cashier if I qualify. It's a gentle reminder for them to discount it properly.

Where would I find the coupon?

    • Angieandmadalyn

I hope this can keep what happened to me from happening to someone else. Jerrell Terrell Photography in the Birmingham AL area – BAD NEWS!! I found him on groupon and it turns out now that I have called BBB on him he has 3 other complaints against him.

    • Contactsya

My first time couponing, just learned about it last Friday and shopped at Publix today, it was fabulous! My thanks to Jerri who told everyone in the store that I have five boys and don't coupon……that's “slightly embarrassing inspiration” at it's best! Today I cut my bill over 50%.

    • sharon60

Are we limited to ONE penny item with a min of $10 purchase? Last week even though I spent $60 they wouldn't let me do a second one.

    • Mickeys_Minnie

Where do you find the penny item coupon? I live in Albany, GA and have never found one.

    • kezell498

Not all stores in AL have the penny saver item, only the ones that fall under the Atlanta division. I go to one of the Publix stores in Dothan and they fall under the Jacksonville division, which doesn't use the penny saver program. Just be sure to ask an employee before you check out.

    • Gahanners

I live in the north Atlanta area, and the Publix I went to today, said the penny item was a 6 pack of White House apple sauce. They said you must have the coupon, but the manager was nice enough to let me slide without the coupon. The coupon can be found in several papers on Thursday here such as the AJC and the Marietta Journal.

Some of you may not know this but if you are military and have a commissary nearby then they are considered a competitor. My Publix accepts commissary coupons which can be stacked with manufacture. The commissary always has tons of tearpads. I have scored some great deals!
