Is this limited to 1 per customer or could you get 2 penny items if you have 2 coupons?

      • Beth Anne

The coupon says: Limit one deal per coupon per customer.

how do you know what the penny item is? or do they just turn one item from you transaction into a penny

      • Anonymous

They set a particular item as the penny item each week. This week it’s the sandwich bread. However, some stores don’t do what corporate usually sets at the penny item and it may be different at your store.

      • Beth Anne

There is a specific Mystery Item (available for a penny, with coupon and $10 worth of groceries-before coupons) each week.

The penny item this week is Publix Sandwich Bread, 20 oz.

Remember… Free or not , The whiter the bread-the quicker your dead. Peace Out!

Last week the cashier insisted on scanning all of my coupons before the penny coupon.  I insisted otherwise.  Had she scanned all of the coupons first, my total would not have been $10.

Am I correct that the $10 specified in the deal is before coupons?  Seeing as how coupons are my form of tender it seems as though this is indeed the case.  Anyway, she was very pushy about it.  But I guess I was more stubborn that she was.

They have scanned mine last after all of my other coupons when my total oop was only $3 and it still goes through, so I don’t think it matters what order it is scanned.  And yes, the $10 is before coupons.

where in the paper is the coupon?

    • Browneyemndy

How do you find the penny item in the paper? I have gone through the paper several times and can’t seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

In the Birmingham News, it’s usually on the inside of the first page (page 2) of the main paper, lower right corner.
