There’s a $2 coupon for General Mills Cereal on the ad..Could I use that with a manuf coupon for the General Mills Fiber One Cereal, making it free and mm?

      • tld

Since the coupon is so vague and just says ‘assorted varieties’ and just gives a weight restriction then some of the Fiber One cereals do qualify for the coupon in the ad.  (some Fiber One varieties are around 11/12ou. though so they don’t line up with the coupon though).  If the coupon would have said something about select varieties or certain types of cereal then you might have had a problem, but the coupon will apply just fine to your order as long as you have a GM cereal that falls within the weight restrictions.

        • tld

Whoops I thought it didn’t post my original message so I posted a second time, sorry!

      • tld

The in-ad coupon is so vague and only says ‘assorted varieties’ and gives a weight restriction.  Any GM cereal that falls within the weight restriction is valid based off of the wording on the coupon.  Some Fiber One varieties are only about 11/12ou. so they don’t work for the coupon, but there are some varieties that work.  Great deal!

        • Ginger

The variety is for the nature valley bars not the cereal.  The coupon is for cheerios or a variety of nature valley bars

          • Staci_marie

There are 2 cereal coupons on the back of the flyer.  1 is $2/1Cheerios.  The other is $2/1 GM cereal, no specific types given.  Just 15.6-? oz.  I bought of Fiber One Caramel & Fiber One regular cereal today using the $2/1 each + MQ…

          • Couponcarly

It pictures Total, but does not restrict it…. I got 8 boxes this morning.

        • Ginger

The variety is for the nature valley bars not the cereal.  The coupon is for cheerios or a variety of nature valley bars

          • tld

The coupon we’re referring to is on the back of the ad and clearly says “$2 off with the purchase of One (1) General Mills Cereal” Assorted Varieties, 15.6 to 18.2-oz. box.  There aren’t any coupons for the Nature Valley bars.

            • guest

No it clearly states $2 off general mills Cheerios Cereal and then the fine print says or nature valley bars value size :)

      • Ellen

Absolutely, use the Publix store coupon and the manufacturer for free cereal

      • Sheri Homestead

        yessssss!!!!

      • emj

Yes, I bought 3 Fiber Ones this morning for a nice little MM!

      • nasatiger

What ad are you talking about? I don’t remember a coupon like that. Is it a flier in the store or one that came in the newspaper?

      • guest

the coupon says general mills CHEERIOS cereal. not any kind of GM cereal or nature velley bars value size.

      • SCW

yes you can!!Just got back from public and bought 4 boxes of fiber one…used 2$ store and a .75$ per box….equals overage .25 $. Very good deal.

    • Claudia_isidora

i wich papers I can find those 2 coupons of general mills? please

    • Tlwoodbury

I got a $1/2 Garden of Eatin’ coupon in the Sunday paper inserts.  Already clipped it,  and do not know which insert had it.

    • jennaj81

I don’t know if ayone mentioned this, but the $2 Cheerios/General Mills  PQ’s that are on the back of the ad are also printable online (as are all of the others like Swanson, Lipton, etc.). I printed several last night so that I didn’t have to take up time cutting them in the store!

      • nasatiger

Oh, thank you so much! I was worried our store wouldn’t have any coupons left and I wasn’t sure which ad to look for them in, but I found them on the website! I hadn’t even thought to look there.

      • Kerrileigh3

My Publix also had those coupons on an in store display and they don’t expire until Feb. 12!!

      • jennaj81

oops! didn’t mean to post twice!

      • Hairxpert4

don’t forget to check the size though. The cereal is usually over $5.00 for that size :(

    • sissy

      Jenny,
Could you PLEASE add this list to the weekly ad, so we can just print one list? It would be greatly appreciated!
      Sissy

      • Cparks0612

Since this is a completely free service given to you and since I am sure this job is no walk in the park, I am guessing printing two lists isn’t that exhausting, being that it takes all of 2 minutes.

        • Yuliyaporter

I don’t  see  a need  to be  sarcastic!  A  lot  of people are LOVING new breakdown for those in  FL, which  is  a LOT  more  work than combining two lists!

          • Cparks0612

Yes, I understand work load vs. work load. That being said, is it that hard to print two lists? Especially since you can simply check the things you are shopping for instead of printing the entire lists. I just thought that since Jenny does ALL the work for us, it is hard to make additional requests. Stupid me!

            • Rebecca

I don’t think it’s too much to ask. And besides, it would definitely save on paper and ink, and help the environment at the same time. What’s with the attitude anyways?

            • Cparks0612

No attitude…just love Jenny and everything she does for us and was taught not to bite the hand that feeds me. Look, I waste lots of paper and ink every month. I understand that frustration. However, without Jenny’s wisdom, guidance, time, and work….I would be losing a lot more than a few dollars on ink and paper. Since, I pay nothing for this service, and she literally does ALL the work for us, I find it hard to ask her to do something else to make our lives easier. I find it appalling that I seem snippy and over the top for not wanting to ask another favor. Lastly, I am exhausted with this. I apologize that I was trying to make a point that was perceived as sarcastic and full of attitude. Jenny, thank you for everything!

            • OKellyATL

Cparks…do you think Jenny gets nothing in return for her hard work??  Yes..she might have started this as a free service and yes, we don’t pay for this service just like we don’t pay to read the newspapers online but to say the only thing she receives in return is gratitude is quite naive.

            • Cparks0612

Not naive at all, I’m not an idiot as to how this blog is run.  I cannot believe that I am described as catty.  Judging by the many likes I have received on my comments, I think I am not the only one who shares my opinion.  I am not breaking anyone down.  I am pretty sure no one has fallen into depression over this.

            • OKellyATL

            • Cparks0612

Who madeyou the judgeon who is right or wrong?

            • Cautera

Thanks ya’ll…you’ve given me a good laugh this morning.  Just looking for some extra tips before I make a trip to Publix.  No tips here but the time spent arguing over nothing and silly comments has been quite amusing!!!!

            • Beka

Here’s the deal… in response to Sissy’s original post, Jenny cannot combine the unadvertised deals with the advertised deals because they are just that – unadvertised! If she went back and added them to the original list it would add more work to everyone who printed their list on Tuesday because they would have to comb through it all to find what was different from the first.  While I can appreciate the attempt at constructive criticism, it is just not feasible! It sounds to me like Cparks0612 just has good sense!

            • Bella

she makes plenty of money running this blog from the advertisers and the coupon sites, lots and lots of money, you people who thinks she does this for free are very naive- its a business

            • Jeannette

Yeah, gotcha. But do you make any money?  No. So, say thank you and move on.

            • Cparks0612

Wow! I did not know that! Thank you for filling me in on the ways of the world. What ever would I do without you? I immediately change my opinion!

        • Foxnettles

          I agree..and I don’t even print..I write..and I go to each and every Publix post..not that hard at all..actually I enjoy it..

        • Okellyatl

Once again some ladies on here show just how catty we can be..why do you even have to make this remark to Sissy??  It is nasty and you went out of your way to be ugly to someone that made a simple request.  Why do some of you ladies on here jump on anyone that offers any bit of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism??  I have been on this site for years and from what I can tell about Jenny is she is always looking to make improvements and make this site the best out there..and the only way you can do that is to get feedback from your clients.  Give it a break sistas and how about offer up some tips instead of breaking people down!

    • Tonya

I keep getting the Southern Savers logo covering some of the other adds as well as covering some of the posts.  just like right now it is covering an add that is right above this post advertising freeflys.  Sometimes it will cover posts that Jenny has added too.   Anyone else having this problem?

      • Foxnettles

No..any way you can block pop ups..maybe that can help..I’m not to computer literate though..so I don’t know..

      • Nichole

I have had this problem too and thought that it was put there to block a rude comment or something, idk.  Weird

    • Cvaughn520

My store had the Gerbers Graduate Cherry Puffs on Clearance for 99 cents! I was able to get get 2 free with the $1 off coupons in the baby booklet

    • Tthompsonjob

Thanks for the heads up on the fiber one cereal. I had an .85 coupon. Overage!! Got 2 boxes and 2 pears for 70 cents.

    • Jeannettemorrell

I am replying to the fun twist that’s going on with Cparks.  Kudos to you for sticking up for the hard work Jenny has shown us time after time!  This is amazing that someone would not appreciate Jenny for all she does yet asks her to do more!  Come on!  Either be happy with her professional and complete work at hand or go somewhere else.  I’m sure you will not be happy there either okyella!  I hope Jenny continues this inexplainably complex job of saving everyone EVERY penny she can!  Thank you, Jenny!

      • OKellyatl

Thank you Jeannette for your kind words…you further proved my point.  If you are able to step away from your emotions and re-read I think you will see that there was no lack of appreciation for Jenny.  I am tired of the mob mentality on here that continues to tell folks to put up or shut up…or
leave.  As a business woman I am sure Jenny appreciates the constructive criticism as much as the praises.  Becoming catty and picking at every person that offers a suggestion does not equal to “sticking up” for Jenny…unless you are 5 and on the playground…have a great day!

        • Diesel

Hey Jeannette, meet me at the playground this evening so we can pick on others, since apparently that is what everyone thinks is going on here! Last I checked, everyone here is an adult, and if expressing your opinion makes you a bully….then you are not the only bully here! My goodness, does Sissy even know or care that everyone has so quickly rushed to her aid? Since, she is the one that was “offended” in the first place…I am guessing everyone else should get a life and mind their own business. Have a FABULOUS day!

        • jeannette

Having fun yet, Okelly? Because you are on the playground, too!!  I did have a great day! Same to you!

    • Maidenmami

Thank you so much for posting all these deals for us.  Im a mom of 4 girls girls and feeding my family on a budget has gotten so much easier with coupons!

    • Anonymous

This past inserts had a .50/1 Fiber One cereal coupon in it, making the cereals .50 overage with the store coupon!

    • SCSaver

Just double checked my receipt – got two of the Almond Accents, my Publix in Simpsonville, SC charged me $2.99 each.  If it is an “unadvertised special” how do I dispute this one?  First time that’s ever happened to me.  Thanks

      • mommypie

Almond Accents wasn’t on sale at my Publix store. The produce guy said it has ended last week :(

        • SCSaver

Thanks, I guess I should have asked in the dept too.  Appreciate the reinforcement of my suspicion!
