Looks like another great week! Thanks Jenny! This week I spent $88 and saved $138. It was a great week!

    • lovesavingmoney

very excited about this week =) now just to find the coupons i ordered for this week .. ECK!

    • shoegal78

I can always count on Publix to pull through when I am almost out of bacon!!! Yippee…we eat a ton in our house :-)

    • moneysaved4disney

The target cottonelle link is going to the bricks coupon. I can't find it on the target site.

    • Lucy

What an awesome week – not so much for groceries, but for household and personal care items. By the way I used a lot of “one per customer” coupons in one transaction and no one ever had a problem with them – just a heads up.

    • kpojero

I found a great deal on cottonelle at cvs today. 20 big rolls=40 rolls for 6.99. Used 1.00 off coupon. 5.99 for huge pack of tp. GREAT DEAL!!!

    • pureromancebychriste

My Publix told me they dont take Target coupons

      • Most stores do not accept them. Only stores that have a super target in the area tend to consider them a competitor.

    • meredithcombs

If your store accepts Walgreens coupons as competitor coupons —
In May coupon booklets there are $2 Q for Infusium 23 hair products and $2 coupons on Phazyme—making both FREE plus overage if you use Store, manf Q and competitor Walgreens coupons

Going to vent for a second here… PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE PEEL-OFF COUPONS OFF PRODUCTS YOU DO NOT INTEND TO BUY!!!! THAT IS VERY RUDE AND IMHO IS STEALING! Just today I was shopping in Publix and saw a lady peeling off a few from one soap display. Stunned (I haven't actually seen anyone doing this before, only the aftermath on a product I was about to buy), I asked her if she was peeling the coupons off. She quite rudely and quickly responded with some non-sense and madly walked off. So sad. AND RUDE!!!! SO DON'T DO IT!!! You give the honest couponers a bad rep!!! OK, all done.

I understand! Saw a woman last week in Publix who had taken every coupon off of every jar of pickles in the whole store! She had an entire purse full! I mean, really? Was she going to buy 1,000 jars of pickles? So annoying!!

        • I don't think it's stealing to take the peelies but I do think it's bad form or rude to take ALL of them. You should only take what your household can use. For example: it's just my husband and I so when I see a blinkie or peelie I take 4. If we had kids I would take a few more. We can't use or give away 100 of anything. Being considerate of fellow couponers will be something we will always face.

      • Alicia

I had the good fortune to bump into a man at Publix this week who puts peelies on products for a living. I asked him about the “peelie debate.” He felt quite strongly that as long as you are buying the product, wether at that time or in the future, then the manufacturer has accomplished their purpose. He thought the idea that it had to be the exact bottle he placed the coupon on was silly. So, I said, “Do you think it's ethical to take off the coupon and use it once the product goes on sale?” He replied, “Well, that's what we all do” (meaning those that have complete access to the coupons and the instructions for them. He went on to say that it's just advertising, so if you buy – and buy at the best time for you – then everyone wins. I know it's disappointing not to find them, but it's not illegal and doesn't seem to be frowned on by those hired to distribute them.

        • moneysaved4disney

Good to know. I never touched them unless I was buying it, but now I will feel ok to take 1-2. The only exception was if I was buying one flavor/variety that didn't have a peelie, I would pull a peelie off the variety that did…if I was going to buy the item that same trip.

      • Chris

I agree, I work at Publix and the Keebler rep came in and put coupons on all the Cheez-its. An hour later all the coupons were missing! He was so mad, he had not even left the store yet. Come on!

        • Ashley

Hmm, well the bottom line if those coupons get used then they are serving the purpose.

      • CHI

I find it very disturbing that people try/care to tell strangers at the grocery store how to behave. You cannot STEAL something that is FREE.
IF peel-off are meant only to be used on the products that bear them it SHOULD state so, otherwise everything else is fair game.

        • Amber

Oh please. People who say things like this are the reason we have to have warnings on airplane doors. Do not open door in flight!

          Duh.

          • danielrichard

Some peelies say “Not valid unless removed by cashier,” or “$1 off this box…”
It is not dishonest to use coupons that do not state this. I think it's funny that this has become a moral issue on this blog. The manufacturer still reimburses the store; no one lost money. I do think you should only take what you will use though.

            • michelle

It's not about reimbursement, it's about someone STEALING the coupon that *I* was going to use!

            • lacey

Like was stated above, you cannot STEAL something that is FREE. Is it stealing to take more than one of the Publix advantage fliers? No. Why? Because they are free. Is is stealing to take more than one napkin at McDonalds? No. Why? Because they are free. Is it STEALING to take more than one coupon booklet a manufacturer sets out? No. Why? Because they are free. You can’t steal something that is free.

        • pureromancebychriste

Have you not watched the Tutorials, Even Jenny tells you ” they are not for you”

        • Beth

The coupons are not free, however, every peelie coupon I have ever seen says for example $1 off THIS package. Which means the coupon is intended for THAT package/item.
The coupons that ARE free are the blinkies which say “take one” or similar.

I personally like the surprise of going in to a store and buying a product to find a peelie to save more. When you take the peelies, you are essentially taking savings from another person.

Wouldn't you alert the police if you saw someone stealing or robbing someones house? Yes I know its just a coupon, but when you take in to consideration that most persons of criminal career started off small… not saying that any one that takes a coupon is a criminal, just the basic moral break down of our society in general over time does have a starting place. Something to think about.

          • CHI

I would like to know how much YOU pay for your peelies since according to you they are not free.
I doubt that coupon “improper” coupon taking would bring down society. And if it does maybe that society was not so great then.
People get ticked off because their think that somehow people are still from them (by way of taking peelies). Nobody is stealing anything from you.
The issue here is not legality but morality.
Well i happen to think that using coupon clippers service is not moral, because most coupons state VOID if sold, transfered, exchange etc. etc. It’s not illegal, but then again I don’t do it.

          • Anonymous

Like I said I for one take one if I am using this product. I may not use this coupon right away, but I use the product so they still get reembersed for the coupon dont they? I will look into this If i am wrong on this, but I dont like to be accused of stealing a coupon off a product. I also leave coupons for people on the shelf. especially if I am not going to use it.

            • lacey

Yes, they absolutely will get reimbursed the EXACT same. There is no way for the manufacturer to even know which product the coupon was redeemed on. As you can read above, even the guy who puts peelies on products for a living says it is fine to take them off other products to use in the future, and he does it himself. You aren’t stealing. I can’t believe so many people think they are high and mighty enough (or have nothing better to do with their time) than to try to make this some sort of moral issue here. Next week maybe it will be that anyone who take more than two blinky coupons is “stealing” or “a thief.” Ridiculous!

      • pureromancebychriste

I Understand I also dont like it when they take 50 of the coupons in those little dispensers, Empting it out everytime. I know those are fair game but leave some for the rest of us. Most of the time there are buying the product and then selling it at a flea Market. With a Family of 6 I need all the help I can get.. Point is U don't need 50.

      • Angela

Maybe you should not be so rude and and judgemental – I was the lady in Publix and I was purchasing Dial soap products. I had picked up four items from the shelf and all of the peelies had been pulled off. I then saw a display in the center aisle and exchanged my products for the ones on the display that had the peelies on them. I am entitled to these since I was buying the products. I always pull the peelies off products that I am purchasing prior to checking out so that they do not get overlooked in the checkout process. So, if you want to talk about being rude, maybe you should not make judgement on things that you know nothing about. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stone – you, ma'am were beyond RUDE!!!

        • Kim

Well then please accept my apology; I just know what I saw and I couldn’t understand what you were saying as you walked off. For what it’s worth, that’s the only time I’ve ever “questioned/confronted” anyone regarding coupons. There just have been several occasions that the peelie coupons had already been peeled off of products that I was about to buy. Not talking to you, Angela, but to those who take the peelies off the product and then don’t buy that product – I still think it’s not a very courteous thing towards the next person… sure didn’t know it would open such a huge can of worms! And, yes, sounds like it is not a legality thing but a morality one!

          • lacey

There are a lot of gray areas in couponing. There always will be. Taking peelies is one gray area. I personally do not feel it is wrong. As you can read above, the person putting the peelies on for a living said there is nothing wrong with it and he does it himself. Another gray area is how many coupons to take from a blinky or one of those peel-off pads. Some people take one or two, some take ten, some take fifty. Another gray area is coupon clipping services or buying coupons on ebay. It states on the coupons that they aren’t supposed to be sold or transferred, yet people do it. Usually the peelies do NOT say “valid ONLY on this product.” What about a person who prints a high-value manufacturer coupon on every computer at work, printing 50 of them, when the manufacturer only allows 1 print per computer for a reason. What about the publix penny item, which is one per person, but then some people do two transactions (one per spouse) and get two…or a person goes to three different publix stores to get three of them. Or what about a person who has 20 coupons and clears a whole shelf out of the last 20 fabric softeners. Or people who use more than one Food Lion coupon that states “Limit 1 per customer.” Or people who have 2 CVS cards (one per spouse) when they say it is supposed to be one per household. And the list goes on and on and on…point is, there are LOTS of gray areas, there always will be, and if you don’t think something is morally right, don’t do it. But DON’T try to tell someone else what is morally right or wrong. If someone is breaking the law, yes, we have a responsibility to report that to the police. But on moral issues, things aren’t black and white. I wouldn’t want someone telling me whether or not to believe in God, whether or not to use birth control, etc. Those are moral issues. What you are taking about is a moral issue, and that therefore is no one’s business but the individual person to decide if something is right or wrong.

        • lacey

Wow, I am glad you replied! I was horrified by such a rude post written above, that someone would actually confront someone because they THOUGHT they were stealing a peelie!! It is a shame our world has come to that, that we think we should confront someone in a store about a coupon. Makes me sad to think people would be so rude. So sorry that happened to you, and I’m glad you posted back so that hopefully others would think twice before doing something so rude! By the way, I always peel off all my peelie coupons before checking out too, otherwise the cashiers often seem to miss them.

      • joyce

I agree. I too, saw a lady removing them from the betty crocker frostings the other day. These are not just peelies, these are actually made into the wrapper on the can, but can be easily removed. She removed several, put the frosting back and proceeded to add ones to her cart that had not been removed. What a shame!

      • wendyc33

Ok I for one do not think it is rude to take off a peelie on a product I use. Thats why the coupon is on the product in the first place. I for one only take 1 or 2 to use, because I use the product. If i do not use the product I do not take one., but I am not nor do I consider myself a thief. I am an honest couponer just like yourself thats wants a good deal. I know there are people who take way too many of them, and never leave enough for people, but I for one am not one of those people. Just saying If I see a coupon for something I use then I get them.

      • Amy

Wow. What a small world. I witnessed this entire coupon throwdown. I had pointed out the peelies on the display when I noticed the alleged peelie thief was buying the ones on the shelf without peelies. As she was removing the peelies to use on the soap ALREADY IN HER CART, along comes the coupon police. So…who was being rude?

      • Anonymous

I’m really annoyed by the same old arguments every single week. I think we can agree to disagree on this issue and leave it at that. Lets share some really good deals instead. :)

      • lacey

Wow, I can’t believe you would confront someone for taking peelies. That, imho, is so sad! Live and let live. It is not stealing, they are FREE, most people wouldn’t use them anyway. In my opinion, this is no different than confronting someone who bought 8 boxes of crackers when YOU think they should only have bought 4, or someone taking all 5 of the last razors on the shelf. Is it really worth getting upset over a coupon?!? What have people’s lives come to if they feel that way? In my opinion, we should not judge others- who knows their situation, whether they are using all those peelies right now, whether they will be using them on their next trip, whether they just lost a job and really need those couple peelies just to get by. I don’t think there is anything wrong with taking peelies. I would definitely give someone a piece of my mind if they confronted me in the store for taking some too!

    • Jen

Wish I could find some Nivea body wash.

      • Angela

At Walmart, the body wash is under $4.00 as well, so you can still get it free with the coupon there too. I had no luck finding it in stock at Publix.

        • chrissyb

I went to Walmart today and finally they had the Nivea and I also got some carefree just to be told at the register that the coupon could not be used because it exceeded the price of the product. I looked up the coupon policy and it does not say anything about this situation…….

          • Ashley

Right, that's why I don't understand why some are successful at Walmart with this but the majority not.

          • Amber

They told me the same thing, so I asked if they could adjust the price of the coupon to 3.97. They did it. I always go to the self-checkout lanes because I have better luck with my coupons there. HTH

            • Amber

I meant to say that I was successful at getting them to adjust the coupon on the Nivea, so maybe it would work on the Carefree too.

            • Anny

I hate Walmart. Why shop there when you can get great deals elsewhere? Use your 4Q for nivea in a snenario at Riteaid or CVS. Nivea has been on sale all over the place. I hope I never have to walk into walmart again.

            • Chrissy

Went into my CVS (SW GA) yesterday and saw that they had raised the price of Nivea body wash to $7.99! The same size bottle was $5.99 not too long ago

            • Sara

I hate walmart too! Haven't set foot in one in–literally–years!

            • michelle

Wow, years? lol I thought I was doing good to have not gone in 3 WEEKS! lol

            • Lori

I hate Walmart too! And when they send in the coupon to get their money back. They will get 4 bucks! They are horrible with coupons.

      • chessica

I was at WalMart today and their Nivea for women is 3.97. I used the $4 q and several bottles for free.

      • lizclene

Me too. My store wouldn't give a rain check.

      • Sayinea

In addition to walmart, I got Nivea body wash today from Target for $3.99 and they adjust the price to accept the coupon.

      • Anonymous

At my Target in Al, they had marked down the Nivea BW that had a nice size (I think 8-10 oz.) freebie of BW attached for $3.84. They also had the men’s bw with same size freebie. I had used all of my $4/1 but got the men’s for .84. All was on a clearance end cap. LOTS of other good mark downs.

    • B.J. Evans

Hi Jenny, Do you know what the penny item is? Our penny day is tomorrow.
      Thanks!

      • Christine

        Publix Spagetti Sauce

    • Caitie

I'm a little confused at how you calculate the deals. For example Newman’s Own Pasta Sauce 24 oz $1.99
-.50/1 Newman’s Own Pasta Product RP 3/21 or printable (makes it 99¢)

      Would it be 1.99-.05=1.49?

      • Christine

Publix doubles coupons up to .50

        • Jeni

In Florida, Publix doesn’t double but my Publix will take two coupons for every coupon $.50 or less, so it works the same way.

      • katie jo

        the 50 cent coupon doubles… so it would be: $1.99- $1.00 (.50+.50)= 99 cents
        hope that helps!

    • Caitie

      I meant 1.99-.50=1.49 sorry

    • annlayfield

on the A-1 steak sauce, Im not seeing the Target Q. what zip should i use?

      • KashLea1

Try 90210 or 34787, sometimes just try leaving it blank. HTHs

    • Lele1378

On the Snuggle Fabric Softner, can I stack the manufacturer coupon with the Target coupon to make it FREE? My publix does accept Target coupons as a competitor coupon…just wondering!

      • Brooke

        Yes you can

    • ziggy34434

If you have a Winn Dixie close by, there is a $-1 store coupon for the Cottonelle 12 pks in their weekly ad that can be used instead of the Target coupon.

      • ziggy34434

There is also a $-1 Cottonelle coupon in the Walgreens May coupon book if that is an option for you.

    • Amber

I want to confirm what I'm thinking:
I'm in FL (true BOGO). On the A1- can I use 2 of the Target B2G1 buy 6 and pay for 1?
3- free from the Publix Deal, 2 free from the coupon.
Same with the Chips Ahoy- get 6, pay for 2 using 2 Target B3G1 coupons?

      • That sounds right to me :)

        • Amber

Yippee! And then with paying for 1 bottle of A1 and 2 bags of Chips-Ahoy, my receipt shows enough to submit for my $10 rebate…oh happy day….! Now if only an A1-Chips Ahoy sandwich would be edible…

          • Sarah

Thanks for the great idea, Amber. We both might be eating A1-Chips Ahoy sandwiches this hurricane season :)

          • LindaB

Make sure you check that your Publix considersTarget a cmpetitor…mine doesn't and there is a supertarget a few miles from it. But it will take Albertsons which is over 10 miles away. So I get to use Albertson's $5 off $50.00. That is if I can get my bill up to $50.00!

    • JSanto

I am new here and have a question. When you say Publix will double coupons up to 50 cents. How does that work? And how do you get them to do it? Do you tell them?

      • Snowski824

It's automatic. However, sometimes coupons will say “Do not double or triple” and some stores allow them to double and some stores manually restrict the doubling of those. Also, it's my understanding that they don't double in FL.

      • pureromancebychriste

Any coupon NOT higher then $.50 they will double. Ex. $.50 coupon u will get $1.00 off your receipts

    • pureromancebychriste

Just wondering, I'm new here… Is there a reason that Ingles is not posted on here. I don't go there cause of there crazy rules but thought I would ask

    • Sorry I am still new to this. On week 4 right now. Where do I find the Advantage Buy Flyers??
      Thanks

      • ileana

You can find them at Piblix by their ad or in the newspaper when they come out. If you can't find it @ the store ad section than ask customer service to see if they have more. They usually keep re-stocking them.

      • karen

front of the store in the turnstiles

    • Tressa

Also the Right Guard Total Defense 5 has a coupon at coupons.com zip 90210 for $3 off 2. It will only print once for me but a nice surprise while trying to get the Hefty One zip coupon!

    • pureromancebychriste

I'm still new too. How are you guys getting coupon to work for other then what is on the coupon.. Like Oscar Meyer coupon for Deli Fresh meats and the item is Bologna. or Gogart Simply coupon for Reg. Gogart . Just wondering… I went to Publix the other Day and the Cashier was ranting about SS site tells people to do stuff that isn't correct…

      • pureromancebychriste

Also if a Coupon says DO NOT DOUBLE how does that work….Like the Green Giant Coupon…..

        • happymom

It depends on your Publix. I've read some posts that say their Publix is honoring the “do not double”, but mine still doubles everything .50 and under. Publix store coupons do not double.

      • happymom

This is just a guide. You still have to do a little leg work and read the coupons to make sure they match up with your sale item. Most times they do, but sometimes they don't. I wouldn't try to “slip” them by your cashier- just hold on to them til the next sale.

      • Lori

You just went to a grumpy cashier. I would suggest going to another.

        • pureromancebychriste

lol, Yeah I got that Vibe also

    • Marie

Regarding the Target $1.50 coupon for Cottenelle: When I printed it, the coupon was for 50 cents. Does anyone have another link or more info on how to get the $1.50 q? Thanks!

    • Lucy

There's also a tearpad MIR for “$3.00 off Produce with Mail -In Rebate when you buy any TWO bottles of Ken's Lite Accents Vinaigrettes”

The form requires original receipt, MIR form and UPC codes written from vinaigrettes purchased — nothing required from produce purchase so it's basically a $3.00 rebate on the 2 bottles.

    • sdshaw

Did anyone in the Birmingham area get the John Frieda coupon in your 5/2 inserts? I cut everything and didn't see it.

      • annabell

i'm in montgomery and we didn't, but if you go to the john frieda website (i just googled it) and take a short hair analysis survey you get a printable $2.50 off 1 john frieda product coupon. I took the survey twice and printed 2 coupons, which totals $5.00 off. i've already used my coupons and the store coupons to get the .99 ea price.

    • Rhodes

Does anyone know how to get the home mailer for the Mott's apple juice?

    • FL_Girl

I work at Publix, and I love SouthernSavers and all of my couponing girls. I know none of you guys do this, but I work in the cash office so I get to count all the coupons at night. I have been noticing tons of photocopied internet printables. One cashiers till has like 25 off the $1.00 off Welch's from last weeks BOGO sale, all with the same serial number. I know Jenny posted something about coupon fraud before, but I just wanted to make y'all aware of this so we can make sure that these manufacturers don't cut back on IP's. Happy saving :)

      • Mel

What does one person need with 25 bottles of juice? It's not like there will never be a sale again.

        • Jo

I purchased 20 bottles of grape juice yesterday to use for our Bible School

        • Debbie

If you do it legally….25 bottles of juice donated to a food pantry is wonderful!

      • LindaB

New coupon shoppers may not know that this is illegal so thank you for the gentle reminder! And many thanks to all the Publix employees that make our shopping a pleasure!.

      • Ashley

Just wanted to add some people have black and white printers or laser printers(a friend of mine has one) which print out looking rather odd. It almost looks copied and some cashiers think they are.

    • WynetteC

Pantene Styler (6.8 oz gel or 9 FL oz pump hair spray) products on Clearance at my Publix Regular was $3.95 on Clearance for $1.45.

Use $1 off Pantene Styler, Hairspray (PG 5/02) Exp 5/31
Use $.50 off 1 any Herbal Essence, Aussie, or Pantene Product (Store Coupon – live well feel beautiful booklet) Exp 5/31

      Made me $.55 overage each!!!

Apparently they are clearancing out the whole line to make room for a new stuff from Pantene. Hope this helps!!! :)

      • Anonymous

I noticed a lot of pantene clearance too

      Dear Publix,

Please open a store in Texas in the South Fort Worth area. Thanks.

When did the “Family is it's own reward” booklet come out? Just wondering if it's an old one I missed or a new one to pick up. Thanks!

      • Anonymous

I posted something about this last week in the comments under Publix booklets.I never found these in the store. Not sure if you can still get it mailed to you or not. There is a page with info about requesting the Family Is Its Own Reward Coupon Book to be mailed to you. They ask you to send an email with your name, address, and phone number by May 15th, 2010. Here is the email address I sent my request to: unileverrewards@asmnet.com . I found it on a website called “Frugal Fairhope”. Hope this helps Mine arrived yesterday. All they can say is no so maybe give it a shot anyway. They did reply to my email and tell me it was on the way.

        • carolc23

          Thanks! I guess I'm a little late but it's worth a try…

          • DonnaTN

            These expire on 5/30

            • Anonymous

I got mine within a few days, like 2 or 3.

    • That's not cool. Maybe the person doing this really doesn't know any better. I hope that is the case.

      • Michelle

        What are you talking about?

    • mackjackmommy

SuperTarget mailed coupons this week for a free 12 pack of coke when you spend $50. My Publix won't take Target coupons, but they will take SuperTarget ones. Silly, I know, but it makes for a GREAT deal on coke this week! :)

    • Monica K.

I cannot believe people complaining about taking of peelies of products and calling it illegal when some of the deals listed by bloggers are down right criminal. In some of those deals none of the coupons mached the product (as in quantities). The stores don't get reimbursed for coupons which don't match the produtct being sold. Many times the cashiers are too tired or too busy to check and match every coupon. You guys whine here about peelies but nobody addresses this issue. This is criminal. If you went to the store and tried to pay with a $1 bill instead of a $10 bill and they took it because they weren't paying attention it would still be wrong. So please fellow bloggers just because you got away with it please do not post these deals unless it's the correct coupons you are using. And FYI this is the true reason for some cashiers not liking us “coupon ladies”.

      • FL_Girl

Agreed. I had a customer come through my line and hand me a whole stack of coupons, none of which she had the correct quantities for, half of which were expired, and the other half of which had the expiration dates conveniently trimmed off. I was just like “Really?” and handed them back.

        • monica k

Thanks. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is wrong. It is a waste of my time looking for all these coupons just to find out those are the wrong coupons. I don't care if those people get a way with this is wrong. So please everybody get all the peelies you want but please read the print on the coupons before posting any deals. Thanks.

          • GollyMissMolly

Yes, then get yelled at when people find out my store cannot take ANY coupon with the expiration date cut off.
I check every coupon that comes through my line, and while I use them extensively (which really really helps know whats out there) and am coupon friendly, the second I find you’re trying to pull something over on me the way FL_Girl describes the pace gets slower and I check harder.
Not all younger cashiers dont pay attention or are stupid like some people seem to think.

      • Vicki

Thank You. The abusiveness of couponing is going to end it for all of us one day. What has happened to common courtesy these days.

      • peytonsmom

It is definitely wrong to use coupons incorrectly and to take the peelies. Jenny addresses this in her videos. I do know that sometimes deals are listed incorrectly on here, but that should be expected since Jenny can't buy each deal every week and personally check. I am just grateful for such wonderful resources!

        • Monica K

Don't get me wrong. I'm not criticizing Jenny but the people who submit those deals.

      • Justme

I agree totally that coupons should be used only on the items and in the quantities they are intended for. However stores are reimbursed for coupons by the volume that they sell. Don’t think that they are matching up each coupon with each transaction that is going through. The only ways stores are not being paid for the coupons is if they did not sell enough volume to cover the coupons or the coupon is fraud. But using coupons fraudulantly does give us all a bad rep.

      • Anonymous

I didn’t see any comments that said it was “illegal”. It’s just common courtesy. If you took a whole bunch of peelies to use for “next time” or to sell them and then I come along and have to buy those items w/out the coupons. Technically you took some savings out of my pocket. Just my opinion.

    • Karen

I have a question. Can you explain the best way to use the Target coupons that are “buy 3 get one free” at Publix. If the item is on buy one get one sale at Publix, can you use the Target coupon? Since it is a competitor coupon can you use four other coupons? I'm just having a hard time figuring out if it will work at Publix since the items ring up half price instead of full price for one free for the second one. Any help you could give would be great! Thanks so much.

      • DonnaTN

I used Target’s coupon for the Bacon. I used it on the turkey bacon though since I had the coupons for them. In order to use the B3G1 Target Q, you would need 3 additional MQ’s. Since the Target Q is for a free one. I used, my free one along with 2 IP’s so it made 4 Turkey Bacon’s for 2.78. HTHs.

    • Tonya

Neither of the two Publix that are w/in 15min of me have restocked their John Frieda Root Awakening products in the last week and a half. Are they not going to put any more out until the coupon is expired?

      • Spoke with my store about it yesterday. They are on a limited order each store can only request 3 bottles per truckload that comes in because the warehouse supply is low :(

      • Susan

My Publix (Wade Hampton, Greenville, SC) will issue a raincheck that subtracts the value of the coupon if the coupon is about to expire. They have done this several times without me even having to ask. I just asked the the asst manager if they would be getting any more of the item before my coupon expired. It never hurts to ask!

      • Tonya

thanks for the info! I will have to ask them about the raincheck, I am in the Greenville area and have been checking the Five forks store in Simpsonville and the Fairview Rd store.

    • guest

I have a question about competitor's coupons. I know which ones my store will take, but not sure how they “count” in my coupon set up. i.e. I know I can use a store q and manuf q on the same item. The competitor coupon is not a manuf q, so would it count as a store q or could I use it in addition to a store q for the same product? (and the item in question is not cheap, so I still would be paying more than half the cost)

      • elisa

My Publix always lets me use 1 manuf q, 1 publix q, and 1 competitor q per item, but I have heard that some don't. If you will puchase the item regardless, I would just try it and see what happens. If not, I would suggest either calling your store or stopping by customer service first to ask what their policy is.

      • Anonymous

My store only allows 1 manuQ and 1 storeQ OR competitor coupon. They don’t allow all 3 stacked together. But I’ve heard of stores allowing that so you would have to check at the store you shop at.

    • Valerie

For the Knorr Sides coupon that is coming out on 5/23 could you use the .60/2 and the .55/2 since the .55/2 is a publix q, and the .60/2 is a man. q? This would make it a “little” money maker right?

      • diane

I think that would make it 10 cents each. That would be great – my family loves those!

    • noahcat

Found a tearpad Q last week in Bi-Lo for 1 bag free bag of Rold Gold pretzels when you buy 2 bags of Ruffles.

    • gingiraffe

Does anyone know how to get the “Home Mailer.” I'd really like to take advantage of all those great qs! Is it something to sign up for?

      • Anonymous

I was wondering the same thing. I know what the “Kroger home mailer” is but I’m not sure what she means by “home Mailer”.

      • Anonymous

Kroger sometimes sends out what they call “personalized coupons”. I think they send them to people who shop there often. I’ve received coupons for free items, produce, deli items, etc. I don’t think there’s a way to sign up for them. It’s just random. HTH

    • Tapp

Does anybody know the reason you get the message 'sorry you've printed the limit of coupons already' when you haven't printed the first coupon? Got this message on the Cottonelle and the Target coupon site, & no coupons! Is this a glitch I can fix somewhere? Thanks for your help.

      • diane

Sometimes that happens when the all of the coupons they are willing to print are already printed. Sad.

        • Tapp

Well, I know better for next time…take Jenny seriously and Print them Early!

    • mackjackmommy

Another note on the Coca-Cola. I live in the Tampa area (zip 33556). Our publix flyer has B2G2 cokes. :)

    • KashLea1

On the Ken’s Steak House Dressing, can't we use the BOGO q (SS 5/9) instead? Wouldn't that make it FREE?

      • Gillian

The bogo coupon is for the 8oz bottle so if it is included you can use it. That would be great. At my store, most of the time they only have the 16 oz bottles on bogo.

        • KashLea1

The post above states 7-16oz but I will still double check with my local circular tomorrow. Thks!

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but I just returned from Publix on Taylor Rd and Atlanta Hwy in Montgomery. The Yellow Advantage Buy has Sorrento 10 oz cheese snack sticks 2/$6. On multiple packages, there are $5 MIR wyb (2) 8oz+….making them 2/$1!!! Valid 3/1-9/30.

If you got the 5/2 insert coupons, for $2/1 or $3/2, you will $2-$3 after rebate.

      • tealew

I read the fine print on the rebate and 5 deals are allowed per household!

    • KashLea1

The Q mentioned for the General Mills Chex Mix Snack Mix is .50/2, not $1/2 as mentioned by Jenny above (SS 4/18). Am i mistaken?

      • There are different values for most coupons in different areas. I probably just didn't list all the different values available. Sorry.

        • KashLea1

No apologies please, i didn't know, thanks Jenny for all you do!!

    • jerriducker

i can't seem to find the marinades Mccormick for .80 i see them for $1.50. does anyone know about this deal. it was for this week and last week and there is not .80 items out there. help

      • Sue

At my store they were not by the spices but by the packets of sauces. The sign said 4/$5.

      • DonnaTN

I found mine by the dried beans section with the gravy mixes not by the spices.

      • wendy m

It is the packets next to the meatloaf seasoning etc and gravies.

    • Julie Q

Did anyone find the Wesson oil Q in April All You? I've looked several times to no avail!

      • irisfaith

Me too. I'm guessing it was in the store version and not the subscription version.

        • Paige

I didn't find ANY of the coupons listed in the April All You, so it must have been the store version only. Very frustrating.

      • momto2boys

It was in the tear out section that was in the one that you buy at wal-mart.

    • joy

      There is a $1 manuf. q for Go-gurt in the Shrek-tacular flyer.

    • KashLea1

For the Nabisco deal, if I buy 2 & use Free Nabisco wyb milk, then wouldn’t I get both free? (BOGO from Pub & Mfg Q) Thks!

      • DonnaTN

No you wouldn't get both for free. They take the price of ONE item and split that in half for both items. So when using your B1G1 coupon in conjunction with the B1G1 sale you would pay the half price which would be 1.89, so you would get 1.89 for 2 plus the cost of milk on top of that. HTH

        • KashLea1

Hi Donna- I went to Pub this morning & tried this deal. I did get both free. I just had to pay for the milk. But I got both Nabisco free. I live in FL so I don't know if it's different here. Thks for the response though!

          • DonnaTN

Yeah, after thinking about it. I should remember to put “except for those who live in FL”!! LOL. But you are right though! Good deal on that!!

    • shelleyschu

FYI on the Nabisco cookies and milk coupon — It expires on 5/21 but the Kraft rebate doesn't start until 5/23. Might be a good addition to the $10 weekly publix trip for the penny item.

    • Amanda

regarding the ken's dressing – my coupon is for either $1 off of two dressing or a buy one get one…..how does the b1g1 free coupon work with a publix sale that is b1g1 or does it?

      • KashLea1

You would get BOTH free…I posed a question about this below….see below for comments.

      • tonya

You do not get them both free. If something normally costs $2.00 then they ring up $1.00 each(meaning you only have to buy one if you choose). YOu would then get one of those 2 free ($1.00 off). Making them .50 a piece. These are Georgia rules…Florida may be different.

        • KashLea1

I live in FL but never tried the BOGO Q with BOGO sale at Publix. Although, I tried it at Winn DIxie with the Classico Pasta Sauce a few weeks back & I was able to get both free. I am heading to Publix tomorrow, so i will find out.

        • Cherise

FL is different. One rings up full price the other is $0.00. So to answer your question you get both FREE! YAY already have my Q clipped and in my stack. Ready to restock the cupboard for a while!!! :)

        • amanda

Thanks for the clarification, I'm in GA – forgot to mention that in my first posting. may not get to use the q due to the size / sale. but i appreciate the responses.

        • guest

yea, I guess you know where Amanda lives? ’cause FL rules are different

      • grace

I believe you get both free! sweet!

      • KashLea1

Hi Amanda- So i just came back from my Pub shopping, first in my Pub the 8oz bottle is NOT included in the sale. It's only the 7oz AND 16oz. And for FL the BOGO coupon in conjuction with a BOGO sale will get you both items FREE. HTH

    • DENISE

FYI IF YOU LIVE IN FLORIDA SWEETBAY HAS ANOTHER 5.00 OFF 30.00 COUPON ON THERE FLYER WHICH PUBLIX WILL ACCEPT, SWEET I LOVE PUBLIX

    • KashLea1

For the Perdue Nuggets…my RP insert has $1 off the Perfect Portions :(

    • jilljova

Random Question- Has everyone received their sample pack in the mail from Kraft/Oscar Meyer. I think I had the hotdog one. I have not gotten mine but most people seem to have. Anyone still waiting.

      • Yolanda

I just got mine in the mail yesterday.

      • Still waiting… though I can't remember which one I chose. Guess it will be a fun surprise.

      • coupondiva02

Yes, I received mine a few days ago. It had a coupon for free hotdogs, free BBQ sauce, some samples of the coffee mix, samples of crackers, and the new Kraft rebate form that starts on 5/23. It was like opening a present! :-)

      • joanna00

Yes, I received mine a few days ago. It was great! Had a coupon for a free pack of Oscar Mayer hot dogs, a coupon for a free bottle of BBQ sauce, 3 small bags of Wheat Thins, and 3 powdered coffee envelopes. Yum!

      • carrieblee

It took me about 2 weeks to get mine.. Anything that is perishable will come as a free coupon. I was so excited when I had a package in my mailbox full of samples and coupons .( Nice surprise compared to just bills!!)

      • diane

OK – that's what I just got yesterday. It had loads of wheat thins, international cofee envelopes and coupons for FREE cream cheese singles and kraft mayo. I'll use the coupons toward my $30.00 purchase for the $10.00 rebate. YEAH!

        • Jbush27

Make sure you don't get them before May 23rd. That's when the rebate starts.

      • Kris

        I got mine on Monday.

      • Leah_in_SC

I just got mine yesterday, so it's coming.

    • CRYSTAL

Confused- on coupons that say $1/2 do you have to actually buy 2 items to get the dollar off?

      • Yolanda

Yes you have to buy two items, if the coupon has $1/2.

      • Yep.

      • chrissie

        Yes

    • CRYSTAL

Like on the Vitamin water that is $1, there is a coupon for $1/2, which would actually mean I buy one for $1 and get one free???? Also, would Publix take the WholeFood coupon, when I printed the coupon it said to only be used at WholeFoods (whatever that is). help!

      • grace

Crystal, Most Publix's take competitors coupons, so, they would take Whole Food's coupon which you can also stack with a manufacturer's coupon. But it all depends on your store. Whole Foods is a store!

    • Sarah

What is with the RP 5/23 coupons, are these future deals??

      • Clint

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing.

      • Sunday's Red Plum insert should/may have this coupon (depends on you region). Jenny posts coupon variations by region on her site. hth!

    • Karen

My local publix has told me I'm unable to get rainchecks on the advanatage buy items. Is this correct or is it just my store?

      • leslie

it's the same at mine…they said it's because advantage buys are not sale items, and they only give rainchecks for sale items. But at the ones I go to, they NEVER have the really good deals, like the John Frieda shampoo.

        • mahug

Hi Leslie- Not sure if you are one who shops at Walmart, but I found some of the John Freida there on clearance for $3 and with my coupon I got 2 tubes of shampoo at 50 cents each! GREAT deal!!

      • moneysaved4disney

they give me rainchecks at my store

      • JumpinJupiter

Yes, it is correct. CS staff isnt supposed to give rainchecks on ANY advantage buy items.

      • carolyn090

nope ,not in kingsland ga either i just learned that today for myself ! guessing the only advantage is to be the first one there .

      • Karin

hmmm… I got one on the Nivea here in ATL

    • brittb

Hi im new to this. I went coupon shopping yesterday at publix. And now i see there are different deals? Can I go today and get some of these items? or not until sunday?

      • Erin

sales at publix, bilo, and food lion start over on wednesdays. Kroger and drugstores are typically sunday through saturday. hth!

    • peytonsmom

The stain stick that is on sale is FABULOUS! I use it to get baby poop and spit up off of clothes and it has saved TONS of outfits. Mommies, stock up! You won't regret it :)

      • shannon

ok..I must be really tired. What is the stain remover stick listed under on her weekly add, I dont see it? Thanks

      • peytonsmom

I am the tired one. I got to publix and realized it wasn't the stain stick on sale. lol!

    • jay

does anybody know where to find coupons for seattle best coffee.

    • regina52

The Paul Newman pasta sauce says $1.99 but after a .50 coupon how can it be .99. Shouldn't it be $1.49?

      • Crystal

Publix doubles .50 and less, making it $1 off

        • regina52

thank you.  I am a beginner.  My daughter turned me onto it and I think I will love it.  She lives in the Tampa area so she goes onto true couponing.

          ________________________________

          • Regina, FL Publix does not double coupons. We're out of luck down here as far as that goes. But, I still love shopping there and get GREAT deals for our area! Good luck!

        • Joanne

In Florida the Publix stores DO NOT double. Just so you are aware of that when you go shopping if you are near her.

      • chrissie

some store double up to $.50….don't fight be glad lol

    • Ladyink

My son called and said “Mom, I need to go shopping- can you help me stretch my grocery money?” Awesome… let's go shopping at Publix! What a great experience and he actually walked out with some meals for the week and only spent $27. (Stopped at Bi-Lo too- needed some chicken to round it out.) Thanks Jenny for all of your work…

    • Jen

I'm not seeing this Yakisoba noodles marked .60 in my store. Maybe store-specific?

      • chrissie

i think it was on sale last week @ Publix

      • mag9775

It wasn't marked in my store either but still rang up on sale :)

      • Marina115

My store had a sale sign that said 5 for $3. Which turns out to be .60 each

    • Erin

There is a .50/1 Q for any one resolve laundry pre treat product. Not sure when it was put out (sometime recently) but it will get you the spray n wash for .49 ea!
I am so excited! I have 6 kids and am on my last bottle!

      • chrissie

it came out last week i think i have some

    • regina52

Is anybody having trouble finding the nivea $4.00 coupon in the RP May 2 paper? I am

      • chrissie

No got them and already used them

        • lindsey

I am having trouble finding the NIVEA. I have been to four places and the shelves were all empty.

          • Keri

I ended up using this $4 off coupon at
Wal-Mart and got it for free. HTH

          • Karin

Same here…but I got a raincheck at Publix so hopefully I can get it before the coupon expires in June!

            • Leann

As long as the raincheck is dated prior to the coupon expiration date they will take the expired coupon. This may vary store to store as well.

          • Heather

You can get them at Target for free too.

      • Stephi

yes, i could not find it either

        • carolyn090

it was regional we didnt get in the fla. times it really stinks but you might be able to buy some online

    • susan

On the B3G1 free Coke deal, do I have to buy 4? Will it come out as $2.75ea if I only buy 1 or 2? Also, does anyone know about the Conagra rebate if the $10 you spend is before coupons? Thanks

      • moneysaved4disney

I have done these deals before, only getting 1 or 2 packs. I was charged full price both times. :(

      • JumpinJupiter

Yes, you must buy 4, or the register will not give you the deal. That is why Moneysaved4disney isnt getting hers free. The cashier isnt magical, and doesnt always have control of what that system does.

      • Michelle

At my S. FL Publix, coke is actually B2G2 free :) And yes, I'll have 2 buy 4 to get that price.

      • lacey

I am pretty sure that the Conagra is $10 before coupons. I did this the last time and I submitted a receipt that was $10 before coupons and I did get the coupon booklet back. I don't think they would have any way of knowing whether you used coupons for Conagra items or other items anyway. HTH :)

    • TammyJue

Can anyone point me to the Publix coupon policy. I have never had issues before at my Publix until today and the Customer Service Manager tells me they don't stack Target coupons with any other coupons. I told him I have been doing it at this store for over a year. I was SO mad. I was in there yesterday and had 35.00 in coupons which I am sure there were Target coupons that I used. I asked him why was he the only one that understood that policy and no one else did. I am going back tomorrow with their policy in hand to talk to their store manager. I spend too much money and tell too many friends how to use coupons there. I tell all my friends to shop at that specific Publix because they do take Target coupons. So I need to print the corportate policy when I go back up there tomorrow.

      • product tester

The general Publix coupon policy would not have any details about Target, Rite Aid, Walgreens, etc. Each store is different when it comes to taking competitor coupons. It is up to the store, store manager, and how close they are to competitors whether they will/will not take competitor coupons. This is what I am told anyway. You can probably write or call Publix corporate and tell them the store # (you can find it under Publix' store locator page… type in your zip and then click on the option for store hours- the store # is usually near the top). Ask them if they know if there are any competitor cooupons that that particular store accepts. They may know.?. Good luck! I'm totally sympathetic! I go to a store that is almost 20 miles from my house, instead of the on less than 1 mile from my house, because they take competitor qs and the one right by my house does not.

      • Patty

Our Publix store will only take competitor coupons in a 5 mile radius. They have a big sign posted at the front of their store near Customer Service. Anything beyond that radius they will not take. My publix does not accept any target coupons since my target is not a supercenter carrying a full line of groceries.

      • jendeals

Ok, so I was at Publix today armed with some Target coupons, which they just accepted last week… So I hand her my Target Q's and she tells me that they are no longer taking Target Q's per the general manager as of Wednesday of this week… So another coupon lady behind me meets me outside and tells me it depends on who is working when you're there…? You might keep trying or call before you go maybe? I was dissappointed too :(

      • guest

there is no written publix q policy; the store mgr gets to choose which competitor q’s to take. because they are responsible for the store’s P&L, the company gives them more control over their store’s policies than maybe some other chain stores do. But some cashiers don’t know the rule has suddenly changed, or they don’t care, so you can get it thru. Or if you’re lucky enough to have another store in your town, try that one

    • sheilagg

      Can you use a manufacter's Q foor $$ off and a manufacter's B1G1 Q on the same item?

      • lindsey

I do this all the time, though I think it depends on what cashier you get.

      • carolyn090

yes,as long as it is for $ off the one you are buying like -1.00/1 and then a b1g1, if your cashier says no. then take the products and the coupons to the front desk. it is done all the time.

      • guest

you have to have 2 like items, 1 manu q per item

    • CPancake

Sorry if these are repeat questions, but here goes…
      1. Does anyone think that the printable Target coupon for Cottonelle looks a little off? (not implying anything about SouthernSavers or any other blog out there…just have a gut feeling that this one might not be the real thing.)
      2. On the buy Nabisco and milk get Nabisco free deal, will Publix give me both packages of cookies for free since they are having a B1G1 sale on the cookies?

      • Ash

        1. The Target Cottonelle is legit…I know because I am on their mailing list and they sent it to my e-mail. Good for you for checking though, because there are definitely fraudulent coupons out there (though every one I've printed from Southern Savers has been perfectly fine).
        2. I think that your first package would ring up as half price $1.89 and then your second package would be totally free. So for $1.89 plus the price of a gallon of milk you'd get two packages of cookies and a gallon of milk. Not sure what would happen if you're in Florida though, where they have true BOGOs.

        • KashLea1

In FL…we would get both items FREE. Just tried it this morning & the price for Nabisco was deducted twice! Sweet!

          • Ash

That's awesome! At least that's one deal that Floridians can get that's better than the rest of the southeast. Usually the policies (not doubling, true BOGOs) don't benefit Florida shoppers as much. I live in GA, but my family owns a condo in FL so I always have to remember the FL Publix policies when I'm there. And yes, I do coupon while on vacation, haha!

            • KashLea1

              Funny! You're a true couponer!

      • KashLea1

In Florida- Using BOGO coupon in conjuction with a BOGO sale will get you both items FREE. I just tried it a Pub this morning & they deducted the Nabisco price twice. I just paid for the milk. HTH

    • Yotunde

I purchased the Nivea at Publix when it was $3.89 and they lowered the coupon to $3.89, not the $4 that the coupon called for. Is that what's supposed to happen?

      • chrissie

It happen 2 me too….I don't like it but for my understanding they have the right 2 do that…I do would like to know if they claim the full coupon or they claim what they charge us….only someone inside can tell us that…..

        • jessieb

Yes, I think it's one of those things that's up to the store manager – like which competitors they will take. I shop at a few Publixes and two of them will let you have the overage go toward your other groceries, and one of them will adjust your coupons because they say they won't pay you to shop – which is silly, because usually it just takes it off the total. I usually don't complain, because hey, free is free!

          • guest

the store mgr doesn’t have say over this like they do about who a competitor is

        • guest

this is not insider information, you can look up the publix and kroger clearinghouse on the internet and learn how it works..see my other post above

      • alyce

My Publix in Smyrna, GA told me that the Nivea had been been discontinued… they had none of the body washes by Nivea???

        • TeeLow

I asked about the Nivea at my store because they had been out for a while. They were able to order it and it was in the store today. Your store's manager probably need to inquire about why they haven't had it and can special order it for you and the other customers who have been waiting for it.

        • allyg24

i was just at the east-west connector publix and they had tons of nivea!

      • Marina115

Next time they do that make them change the price on the coupon too. You can't force them to change there policy but you can make sure it goes both ways. It's not fair for them to make money off of your coupon.

        • guest

but the way publix get reimbursed for q’s, you would need to get a pencil or sharpie pen and go thru the bar code to make it not scan. the clearinghouse has an auto scanner that kicks out q’s for manual input if the barcode won’t scan or maybe a fill-in for frees

      • Jbush27

Really no Publix is supposed to do that. They get reimbursed for the coupon. My Publix used to adjust coupons and then one day my favorite cashier told me they didn't do that anymore, so the next time I went and had a different cashier they tried to adjust it and I told them what I was told and they got a manager and the manager said that corporate told them to take the coupon and not adjust the price.

      • ruth

Similar scenario happened to me…except first the cashier told me she couldn’t take the coupon at all, because it was more than the purchase price. Duhh. I calmly disagreed, so she walked away to find the manager. They had a discussion, and then she came back and said she would take off $3.89. I asked why…since Publix would get re-imbursed $4, for the entire amount? Off she went to see the manager again (it really wasn’t my goal to tie up the line behind me…but this cashier was kinda bonkers). I ended up getting $3.89, but free is free! Teach me to pick cashiers better!! My usual cashier was not there. Hard to believe that much time was spent on eleven cents…not like I was really trying to rip anyone off.

    • Savannah Mom

Hi, I shopped at Publix yesterday, 5-19-10, in Savannah. Two of my John Freida $2.50 off coupons had expired on 5-17-10. I asked the manager if they would honor them. He said they except expired coupons for one week after expiration. Good to know. Thanks Publix!
I went to Kroger as my next stop and had the same situation with coupons that had expired on 5-16-10. Kroger would not accept them.

      • joanna00

Thanks so much for the info!

      • ATank

Our Publix hands mine back to me if they are expired. That's the East Lake Publix (Atlanta) just FYI so you EL shoppers do not get your hopes up. How cool about Savannah Publix, though!

        • ireneY

          Hi neighbor!
I am in the middle of four Publix locations (how lucky am I?!) and shop at Emory most often. The employees are slowly starting to warm up, but they've been suspiciously reserved with my coupons-only shopping. They are very strict with coupon expirations and don't allow/understand stacking.
All my fruits and veggies come from the farmer's market, so my Publix shopping cart is an odd assortment at best!!
          Irene

    • KashLea1

Fyi…Central Orlando Pub does not have a BOGO on the Brownies :( It's 50% off. Still not a bad deal. Bought 2 this morning.

    • jessieb

Does anyone know how to get on the Kroger mailing list? My friend gets awesome Kroger coupons in the mail that she uses at Publix, but we can't figure out how she got signed up….Thanks :-)

      • Marina115

It's random but I think it's triggered by how much you shop there. I know my mom shops mostly at Kroger so she gets a lot more home mailers than I do. As long as you're registered online with them and your address is up to date then you're already signed up. It's just a matter of them sending them out to you.

      • gracie1

My customer service desk gave me a form to fill out and mail into their main office. I haven't done it yet, so I'm not sure it works, but ….

    • mwhite

Can you use 2 q's when doing a B1G1? How many products do you get, and how many do you pay for when you use a B1G1 q with a B1G1 sale?

      • Marina115

The stores in FL are the only ones that have true B1G1. Here in GA the items ring up 1/2 price. So you don't have to get 2 items to get the sale price. But if you have a B1G1 coupon you would buy 2 items and pay 1/2 price for one and get the other free. Unless your in FL then you get both items for free. HTH

        • mwhite

Yep, i am in florida. but i really dont understand how the b1g1 coupon with a b1g1 sale makes both of them free…. can you explain the particulars of this to me? I am just starting out, and this is the most confusing concept to me. If i go to a cashier and have to explain how they are both free, i would be stumped! thanks for your help

    • Can anyone tell me where I can get some Chex Mix and gogurt(.40) coupons? I think coupons.com are all out unless there is another zip I don’t know about. Thanks so much!

      • mary

The gogurt 80 cents off 2 are off of coupons.com

    • Natasha

The Newman's Own Pasta sauce coupon from RP 3/21 expired on May1.

    • Can anyone tell me where to get gogurt (.40) and chex mix coupons? Thanks so much!

      • Taylor

I wasn't able to print any Chex Mix coupons from Jenny's links either. However, I found a $0.50 manufacturer's coupon for the Chex Mix on Target's website. <target(dot)com/coupons> Hope this helps!

      • Connie

On the coupon printing sites that have an option for it, you can sometimes change the zip code option and get different coupons that might not be available on your zip.

    • tina

McCormick Grill Mates Marinades .71-1.25 oz., 80¢
These are 2/$3 at my store????

      • moneysaved4disney

The ones that are 80cents are in a paper envelope type packet by the gravy mixes.

        • Sherri

thanks for the info! I will go back & look at those ones!

    • Jules

Question about the Infusium deal. I tried this before on another BOGO with a store coupon and then two manufactorers and they wouldn't accept it. Said they couldn't take a coupon on a free item. Is this one of those YMMV situations?

      • moneysaved4disney

yep. ymmv. Luckily, my Publix is great about this kind of stuff.

        • gracie1

          what does ymmv mean?

          • suzy

Your Milage May Vary: meaning, it may not work the same for you as it did for someone else.

    • Sheila central FL

My publix would not accept the A1 coupn from target, even though they usually take the target coupons. The cashier asked the manager since I was getting 5 free, so I only bought the two A1 sauces bogo free

    • Elaine – Orlando

Just got back from publix. I got: 10 Bags of Chips Ahoy cookies, 4 bottles of A1 sauce, 2 boxes of Fruit Loops, 2 bags of Green Giant Steamers, 4 boxes of Tornados(mexican rollups), 4 12packs of coke, 4 big bags of Chex Mix, and 2 gallons of milk all for 31.97. I used the bogo coupon from facebook on the Chips Ahoy cookies plus the one from target. I only paid for 1 bag and got 9 for free! The other big saver was I got a coupon in the mail from target for a free 12 pack of coke with $50 grocery purchase. I saved 87.97. That is the most percentage wise I've ever saved!

    • Sheila Central Fl

Great Day at Publix Spent $89.96 and saved $103.51. I have only been doing this since April. Still getting the hang of it.

      • Elaine – Orlando

Which store do you shop at?

        • Sheila central FL

In Lakeland FL, I could of pushed the issue with the Target Coupon, but I didn't really need 6 bottles of A-1

    • TeeLow

I shop at a Publix in Dunwoody, GA and we don't have Coke on sale, it is Pepsi for B3G1 free. But in addition to that, in the yellow flyer there is a q for B2G1 free Dr. Pepper. If I am guessing right we can B3G2 as long as 3 of the flavors are Dr. Pepper. I love a deal of 5 12pks for $11.00. If I calculated wrong, someone please let me know.

    • chrissie

I got 12 boxes of GM cereal from Ingles and only pay about $7.00 for them

    • Today – I had a pretty good day here in Duluth, GA I spent $43.56 & saved $141.23. I had a huge coupon nazi who yelled at me a few times because I had forgotten to put the BOGO coupons on top. She also told me that I couldn't use my peelies because I already had other coupons. Oh well, still a pretty good day!

      • Amy_Q

Wow! That sounds like a great day to me! (Oh and LOL @ coupon nazi)

      • sealey5

I didn't realize you couldn't use the peelies with the q's you have for that product as well. I got (3) Sorrento Sticksters, had q's and peelies, but they only let me use my q's so now i've got 3 peelies to go towards cheese. I guess you just learn after awhile!

    • Darlene

I just bought my Nivea at target and used the coupon which made it FREE.

    • Melissa

My printer just ran out of ink with color before I realized it. Does it matter that I have black and white coupons????

      • kpojero

I print all of mine in black and white and have never had a problem. Saves lots of money on ink.

        • blessedinsc

How do you get your printer to print in just black and white, assuming you have a color printer? I'd like to know how to make my printer do that too! I haven't seen any options on my printer nor on my printing options online.

          • kristin

It was pretty easy on my computer. I know everyones is different. Here is what I did.
            Go to START
            CONTROL PANEL
            PRINTERS OTHER HARDWARE
            PRINTERS AND FAXES
            RIGHT CLICK YOUR PRINTER
            GO TO PRINTER PREFERENCES

My computer had a box for ink options.

            Hope this helps.

      • lacey

I print black and white coupons a lot cause one of my printers is a laser printer that ONLY prints black and white. The only place I have ever had a problem with taking them is Walmart!! The cashier told me they do not accept black and white coupons because “they do not have the little two yellow dots which is the only way we can verify they are not fake.” I had no idea what she was talking about. I have never had any problems at publix, bilo, target, walgreens, cvs, or rite aid, and I shop at all those stores with black and white coupons all the time. Just another reason for me not to go back to walmart I guess! :)

    • Tammie

I am trying to print off targets coupons but it keeps saying I need to activate coupon printer, and I do the steps and nothing prints. Any suggestions?

      • Melanie

Try clicking at the top of your page just under the tool bar and run the add-on. It’s the coupon printer and that happened to me too the first time I printed from Target’s site. Hope that’s helpful!

      • I was using Firefox browser to try to print coupons, and getting nowhere. I switched to Safari browser (Apple operating system), and had no problem. It turns out the coupon printer most sites use isn’t supported in Firefox.

    • rlpicker

Still out of Nivea body wash!!

      • Denise

Get it at Wal-Mart to get it. Ours had it for $3.89 or so.

        • lindsey

all of our stores are out here.. wal-mart, kroger, publix and target!

      • Elizabeth

Don't forget, you can get a raincheck from publix! Let them know how many you want (you won't be obligated to buy them all, you'll just have options) and ask them to write on the raincheck 'use coupons if expired'. My publix will always do this for me if I ask nicely and smile :) and it helps so much to not stress over finding the item before the sale is over, and before my coupons expire. They are good for 30 days. Hope that helps!

    • Emily

I tried using a Target coupon at Publix in Lexington, SC, and they wouldn't accept it. They said it had to be another grocery store like Food Lion or BiLo. Any suggestions?

      • DonnaTN

Some stores vary as to who their competitors are. Sorry, I don't think there's anything you can do about that. Unless you had another Publix near by to see if they accept Target.

      • Amy B.

No Publii in the greater Columbia, SC area accepts Target as a competitor.

      • 4tlamb

I asked the manager about this at the Publix in Augusta, Ga. He said they do not accept competitor coupons…

      • Connie

If your local Target store is NOT a SuperTarget which is essentially like Walmart Superstore and includes an entire grocery store and not just a small section, most actual grocery stores will NOT accept the coupons.

    • allyg24

i went to the publix on east west connector tonight and they had the BeneVia on their clearance for $4.25!

What is the Home Mailer, and how do you get one?

    • dean77

What are tearpads and hangtags and where are they located? I have yet to see them at any of my local grocery stores – Greenville, SC

      • Jennifer

I shop at the Publix on Pelham Rd and they have both tearpads and hangtags on things….You sometimes have to kinda hunt for tearpads and things with hangtags on them…..

    • AngelB central FL

I would like to know what is a mailer and how do I get one or on the list?

      • DonnaTN

Mailer is usually what the stores send to our home like coupons or booklets. If you are referring to any of the booklets that Jenny has listed the “Family Is Its Own Reward“, she had posted it on it last week but I don't think that is available anymore since the coupons expire on the 30th of this month and the Shrek one you could ask your CS if they have booklets available or if you store puts them on turnstyle type things it may be on there.

        • Sherri

my Publix in Oakwood, GA keeps their special coupon booklets behind the customer service desk & u have to ask for them because we have some “coupon ladies” in our area that come in the store & TAKE THEM ALL! It ticks me off that people do that because sometimes I miss out on savings for my family because of the “coupon ladies” that are ruining the programs by being selfish & greedy! I'm all for people saving for their family but the people that abuse it to get stuff free or cheap & then turn around & SELL it to their friends & family are the cause of all the coupon crack downs.

          • gracie1

My publix manager explained to me the other day why I could not find the Nivea body wash for free last week. He said one customer special ordered a huge amount of the Nivea and always shops using Qs totalling $1500. I think this is why stores give the rest of us so much trouble. And I agree, these people need to think of the rest of us before buying cases and cases and stuff.

            • Connie

There should definitely be a limit as to how many of each individual items we are able to buy using coupons so that this does not happen, but if the stores actually implemented something like this, it could be a miniscule amount that would also not be helpful. Seriously, how can you NEED that many Nivea bodywash before the next good coupon/sale happens (even with extended family!)??

            • Steven

People like to sell the free items, kills it for everyone else. When I get a bunch of coupons for a free item that I need to donate I ask the store manager to order the item for me from the warehouse. I normally donate the items and because my store managers know this they will order things for me. Piggly Wiggly just ordered 1,000 bags of rice for me.

    • sallyk

If your Publix accepts Rite Aid Qs then a little reminder — there is a $5/$25 on Jenny's link to Rite Aid posted a week or so ago (Red Plum Q). Coupon expires 7/31/10 as she mentions use zip code 19457 with radius of 50 miles – mine also showed up on my zip in Georgia today. I tried this last week shortly after it was posted and couldn't find the Q on any zip I tried. Who knows why that happens? Happy Savings to all and thank you Jenny!

    • Alicat, Miami FL

Can someone tell me where you find the “tearpad” coupons?

      • Leah_in_SC

Tearpads are little pads of coupons that you just peel off one at a time. These are often placed in grocery stores on the shelf or display rack right where the product that the coupon is for is displayed. Not every location gets every tearpad, and not all places get them at exactly the same time. It's kind of random. Usually when a tearpad coupon is listed on here it's because at some point someone has found the tearpad and Jenny wants anyone who has already found it to be aware that it's a possible match to the sale, and to let those who haven't found it yet know that it may be out there so they can be on the lookout for it. Your best bet is if you see a tearpad in the grocery store, go ahead and get the coupon even if you're not purchasing that item. Then just put it in your coupon stash until a sale for that item comes up. And look for them everywhere you go…you don't always have to use at the place you found it. :)

    • Lyvismommy

I called my Publix today, in Albany, GA, and their customer service rep said the only division of Publix in Georgia that doubles any coupons is their Atlanta division stores. I don't know for sure if that's true, but it might help with some planning.

      • Raye

What do you mean by double? If I buy two of the same product (BOGO) then mine always allows me to use two. Also if I have one just for that product and one for the same product that requires an additional purchase they let me use those too. Usually it just depends on what the coupon says. Some say do not double or triple and those they won't.

        • Leah_in_SC

Doubling a coupon means that if your manufacturer coupon says it is for $.50 off, the store automatically gives you $1.00 off. You don't have to have any additional coupons or purchase extra items…it just doubles the face value of the coupon in the register when you check out. Most Publix stores, with the exception of FL stores and some in GA, do this on coupons up to $.50. If the manufacturer actually specifies “DO NOT DOUBLE” on the coupon, however, some of the Publix stores have trained their cashiers to hit a button on their register that prevents the coupon from doubling. This is each store's prerogative and some are stricter about enforcing it than others. So if the coupon says “do not double or triple” it doesn't mean you can't buy more of those items or that you can't use more of those coupons, it just means that they don't want the stores to double or triple the value of their coupon. I hope that made sense and helped you understand! :)

          • Lyvismommy

Thanks Leah, for explaining that. I was in a hurry when I made my post, and guess I didn't explain what I was talking about. Sorry Raye, for any confusion!

        • gracie1

I've always lived in the Atlanta area and thought everyone doubled coupons up to 50 cents each. Imagine my surprise when I went to a Florida Publix on vacation and fully expected my q's to be doubled. The cashier looked at me like I'd escaped from the nuthouse when I asked her about doubling coupons. She said, “what's that mean?”

      • itismedia

Not completely true. I live in Coastal GA and they double coupons here too. The only Publix I have ever been to (when traveling) that doesn't double is Florida.

        • Anonymous

          Itismedia,
I am glad to hear that other Publix stores are still doubling. Apparently, that is not the only policy that the Albany store doesn’t honor. Last night, I tried to purchase 2 items (not on B1G1 sale) with 2 B1G1 coupons. They refused to accept both of my coupons. And when I asked them about their coupon policy, they said some Publix stores allow it, but the manager’s of the Albany store didn’t think you should be able to do that. However, if an item is on B1G1, you could then use one B1G1 coupon. They were very nice, even though I didn’t get to use my coupon. I still got a great deal, and was very happy with my savings. (And we have a new Publix being built that is about 15 minutes closer to my house, so maybe they will do differently)

      • guest

unless this has changed recently, all non-florida stores, except some coastal GA stores, are in the Atlanta division.

    • JL

Hey Everyone. I went to Publix this week ang got free Texas Toast Croutons. I live in Nashville and we got a .50 off 1 Texas Toast croutons in 5/16 paper and they are listed as .99 in yellow flyer that is good until June so that makes free coupons if your store DBLS. Yay

    • Elizabeth

I could be wrong (it happens a lot LOL!) but the $1 off lysol wipes coupon I have, exp. 5/25, is a $1 on two. So it's not as good of a deal, but still not bad. :)

    • mwhite

I am a newbie in Florida- and I really dont understand how the b1g1 coupon with a b1g1 sale makes both of them free…. can you explain the particulars of this to me? I am just starting out, and this is the most confusing concept to me. If i had to go to a cashier and explain how they are both free, i would be stumped! thanks for your help

      • gracie1

I'm no expert, but I'll try to explain the way I understand it:

It works like this: Each item actually rings up at half price at the cash register. Using round numbers, say you pick up 2 boxes of crackers regularly $2.00 each but on sale for b1g1 free.

2 boxes each ring up at 1.00 for $2. total
Your Q for b1g1 might also deduct the regular price of $2.00 = 2 boxes free

Sometimes if the cashier has to key in the amount of the coupon, they will key in the sale price of $1.00, which would make 2 boxes for 1.00 or 50 cents each.

        Hope this helps.

        • mwhite

thanks, that did help a lot!

          • joy

yes but gracie1 is talking about NON florida stores, in FL you have to buy both of them in order to get one free thus getting each item for $1 each… And they do not double coupons in FL either. I just don't want you to be caught off guard when you go to publix in FL

      • Colleen

In Florida, you pay full price for the first item and the second item rings up free…which differs from Publix stores in other states where each item ring up and half price. Regardless of that, when the store is running a BOGO sale and you have a manufacturer's coupon, you are getting BOTH items for free because the store is giving you one item for free as part of the sale, and the manufacturer (via the coupon) is giving you the other one for free. Does that make sense? The cash register automatically deducts the free one that is part of the sale, and then the cashier runs the coupon through and manually deducts the price of the other one, which makes that one free as well. Make sense?

        • April

Thanks… I've been unsure if you could do this so I haven't tried… until now!!!

    • Becca

There's another FREE item to report: The Right Guard listed under BOGO actually has an additional coupon at coupons.com – $3.00 off Right Guard Total Defense when you buy 2.

Right Guard Total Defense Deodorant, 2-4 oz., at $3.99 ($1.99)
-.55/1 Right Guard Product, Safeway May 2010
-$1 off Right Guard Total Defense 5, printable
-$1.50 off Right Guard Total Defense, printable (makes it 49¢)

-$3.00 off Right Guard Total Defense (makes it FREE with $2.06 profit if all coupons are used)

I'm new at this so I hope I got that right – check it out though – worked for me.

      • megan

How did you use three IPs on two items? Was one a store coupon (other than the Safeway)?

        • Becca

I don't know – like I said I'm new at this so I just gave the cashier my coupons and he took them all – didn't know I was doing it wrong. Guess I got lucky.

          • Toni

Yikes! Well at least you now know that what you did was wrong so please don't do it again. Just pick the one best manufacturer coupon that you have. Only one manufacturer coupon per item. Chalk that one up to a learning experience.

            • Beth

In my area, it's B1G1 also for 3.99 (1.99) so $.49 for each. but on the product, it had the Save $.55 now sticker. Is that okay?

      • Lucy

You can't use 4 manf. coupons on 2 items!

    • juliegcooper

I live in the Atlanta area and get my coupons out of the AJC. I can not find the coupon for Snuggles Fabric Softener in the RP 5/16 for $1.50, but I found one for $.75. I could not find the $1.50 Target coupon in the RP 4/25 at all. Is this normal and can I get those coupons somewhere else?

    • Kate

I have noticed that the Publix on Trolley Road in Summerville is keeping these great deals off the shelf until after the coupons expire so even if you get a rain check the coupons are expired by the time it is back in stock. It has been VERY disappointing because they do get reimbursed for the coupons, right? Thanks so much Jenny for all you do, it has really helped our family!

      • Chrissy

You should try the store on Dorchester at Ashley Phosphate. I have never had a problem finding sale items there!!

      • Amanda

also try the one in goose creek they are great

        • Michele

Amanda, Do you happen to know if the Goose Creek Publix takes Target coupons? I cut a lot out this week, but never really shop Target. Thanks

      • I have had them add a msg. at the bottom of the raincheck that they will accept my soon to be expiring coupon anyway!

    • Kristen

Ok- this is completely off topic but… I am hoping you guys/gals could help me. Next week I am headed to MA to the land of double coupons (very excited) and no Publix (bummed) :( So I am hoping to find some blogs or another site like southernsavers for up north particularly for Shaws, Market Basket, Stop & Shop, and Roche Brothers. I want to help my family up there save money… Any Ideas ??? Please !!!

      • look up becentsabledotnet type in the state and then click on grocery stores. ti will give you alist of bloggers who cover the stores in that state.

    • Stacy

dixie paper products coupon- 50cents off in redplum this weekend!!!! double it and pay only 50 cents !!!

    • marcie black

my publix in winter haven, florida had fisher trail mix on sale for a dollar. i was finally able to use my $1 off any fisher nuts coupons and get four bags for free! two for our vacation and two for my twins' preschool :)

      • chrystalm

I love it too do you know how long the sale will last?

    • Jen

I know that this is partially off-topic, but I must make a comment. For YEARS, I was a loyal Wal-Mart shopper because they simply had cheaper prices than Publix or CVS, etc… My Wal-Mart is always packed with people and I assume due to theft, half of the store is locked up in glass cabinets and it is difficult to find someone with a key and when you due, they are simply rude! About a month and a half ago, I discovered this website and became fascinated as to how you can save so much money with a little bit of effort each week. I have saved a ton of money over the past month at both Publix and CVS (far more than I would have ever saved at Wal-Mart).

Which brings me to my point…yesterday I was at Wal-Mart and was only purchasing a few items that are not sold at Publix. I decided to use my Scotch-Brite -$1/2 coupon and purchased 2 kitchen sponges. When I handed the cashier my coupon (the only coupon I was using), she looked at it as if she had never seen a coupon before and then walked away and went to another cashier. When she came back, she very rudely said “we do not take coupons.” I asked her why and she said “cuz we don't, I mean we do not take internet coupons”. So i politely asked her when did this go into effect, because I have used them in the past and she said today! I continued to ask her a few more questions and then realized that the conversation was going nowhere so I told her to remove the sponges from my transaction. I understand if they do not want to take internet coupons (even when the coupon came from the Scotch-Brite website), but Wal-Mart cashiers do not have to be sooooo rude about it. I mean, i was buying 2 sponges at $0.84 each with the -$1/2 IP which would have made it about $0.68 after the q for both sponges (its not like I was dealing with an overage situation or I was clearing their shelf out…I was buying 2 kitchen sponges!!!!!!!).

So, this morning I went to my friendly Publix and used the coupon and did not have any troubles whatsoever (and I used about 50 coupons for my food purchase as well and did not have one problem). I also spent about $58 after tax and got $144 worth of groceries. Thanks to Jenny and her amazing website, newbies like me do not have to deal with Wal-Mart for their groceries and can get a ton of food, etc… for very little money out of pocket. It is still shocking to hear myself say that I am going to CVS or Publix, because I purchased EVERYTHING at Wal-mart and never went into a CVS and rarely set foot into a Publix. For the rest of the newbies, continue collecting coupons and read Jenny's site and you too will be a much happier shopper like me! Thanks Jenny!!!

      • AMEN ! AND DITTO !

      • Carrie

I've gone from shopping at Wal-Mart once a week and spending at least $100 (I would also go to Publix once a week and spend at least $100 there also) to going once a month for the things I can never find on sale and spending $200 (at least $100 is because of baby #3 that I hope we will no longer have to spend after this year). In other words, because of this site, I have gone from spending at least $400 a month at Wal-Mart to $200!! It goes without saying that the amount of time I spend there has decreased as well.

      • Jbush27

Me too. I remember thinking I had to shop at Walmart to save money until I found this site. I would go in there and say as I was shopping,”I hate Walmart.” They never have anything you need, the isles are crowded and the workers are rude. I used to spend about $100 a week there and now spend about $40 a week at Publix and CVS. Yes, thank you Jenny for helping me eliminate the store I hate the most in the world.

      • Lucy

I agree. I got so used to shopping in clean Publix (always used in WalMart until discovering this site)… a week ago I just HAD to run into WalMart. Ohh, was it horrible – dirty carts, rude people, the store was crowded. I promised myself to not come back there again

      • tonya

My Walmart told me as long as the internet coupon works…they'll take it. They will not force a coupon through for you. This was in Cumming, Ga. You may want to talk to someone first next time.

      • nicole

Basically you've summed up the reason I no longer shop at Walmart. I mean it's a coupon redeemable by the manufacturer and I'm spending over $100; Walmart gets their $.50 back from the manufacturer and my $100….don't treat me like a criminal. Sometimes I wonder if the cashiers are written up for accepting coupons or something…or maybe the coupon amount comes out of their paycheck. That's how they act anyway.

      • Lisa

The best thing about this site is not all of the money that you can save, it is that I NEVER HAVE TO GO TO WAL-MART!!! I hate that store, the people are all rude/hateful. I puts me in a bad mood for the rest of the day! One time I had to have them repair a tire for me, and after a very rude employee took my work order I walked around for a little while until the work was completed. When I went back to the service center, the same employee and his demonic co-fiend let the door slam in my face! They had seen me because they were laughing about it-I guess they didn't think that I could hear through the glass! I would have complained, but I have worked there before and know that is a waste of time. So, now that I no longer have to go there, I am so happy!

      • kate

        Walmart is the devil!

      • erins_deals

I have actually grown to enjoy my infrequent trips to Wal-mart. I know that after I get the item I need I won't have to return for MONTHS!!!

      • Shawna

I have to completely agree w/ you Jen. I used to shop at Walmart for ALL my groceries. Now I shop at Publix and save soooo much more by buying brand name items than going to Walmart & buying their generics. I have tried to use coupons at Walmart on 4 seperate occassions and each time I have had problems. I wrote the corporate office and the store mngr called me back. She said that they are training their cashiers on coupons but their registers are set up a certain way and if it beeps then the cashier is trained not to accept the coupon. I politely advised her that they are losing huge amounts of business with the cashiers being so rude and not being trained on coupons. I also advised that I take all my grocery business to Publix now because of their wonderful customer service and b1g1 deals. I have many friends that have wisely switched to Publix after they started couponing but I still have 1 very close friend that refuses to switch from Walmart. I have tried to explain how much money she can save but she refuses to listen. Oh well…can't win em all I guess.

        • Lyvismommy

I completely understand and agree. I live in a tiny little town in South GA, and we only have Walmart and Harveys here (and our Harveys is very small and not the cleanest). For the last 3 years, I had just accepted the fact that I HAD to shop at Walmart in order to fit our groceries into the budget. Boy, was I wrong! I have to drive over an hour to my nearest Publix and so I normally only go every other week, but I still save money, even after paying for the gas to drive there and back! I realized a few nights ago, when I had to make a last minute trip to pick something up, that I had not even been in Walmart in over 3 weeks… I used to end up there at least 4-5 times a week. I am so thankful for this website, and the ideas and encouragement I get from all the other “extremists” out there! :) Thanks everyone!

    • Sheila – Central fl

Did anyone find the Infusium coupon in SS 5/09. I didn't see it. I am in the tampa bay area.

      • Carrie

I didn't get it either (Jacksonville, St. Augustine area).

        • noahcat

I found one in the May- All you Magazine

          • Carrie

            Thanks.

      • Phyllis

What part of the Tampa Bay area? I live in St. Pete

    • audrey

i used the whole foods 0.50 c qp for vitamin water today, but didnt double. still a good deal for 50c/bottle though, but does anyone know if this is a new policy to not double 0.50 qp's or hopefully just cashier mistake :)

      • noahcat

I didn't think they doubled competitors Qs. I think they are treated like store Q's which you could stack with a manufacturer Q. I could be wrong though.

      • marie

Our store accepts Whole Foods as well but competitor is treated like a Public Q and do not double…

    • ywardlaw

General observation here… I do prefer to shop Publix; however, after making 5 trips over the past week to 2 different stores trying to get a couple of the advantage buys that were going to expire Friday I'm left a little disappointed. They were never able to keep the shelves stocked and do not offer rainchecks on the advantage buy sales. I even went to the stores the night the truck was due…

      • littlemama8

I had the same problem. The recognized me coming in so much that they gave me rain checks anyways!

      • christalandken

My store never had the Nivea body wash. They substituted another brand of body wash. They gave it to me for $3.89, which was advertised. Then, they let me use my $4 off coupon. I was happy.

    • noahcat

This newbie is proud of herself. I just got back from Publix. Did pretty good. $56 OOP for $195 in groceries. I could not find the 24 ct Ecotrin, but got 2 free boxes of Benefiber. Used the free Rold Gold wyb 2 bags of ruffles Q. They were out of the small bags of pretzels so I got to substitute 2 free large bags instead. They had these Qs all over the store so if you don't have them already check the shelves and displays for Ruffles in the store. This was the Kennerly Rd. location in Irmo, SC. Thanks for all the tips ladies!

      • mark

I am in tallahassee and the top 2 biggest stores(bradfordville and killarn) don't have the 24ct ecotrin for this amazing deal…where is it locaed?

    • sealey5

ok, I should know this, but I want to be postive….on the B1G1 deals, if I just get one of these items, is it half off of the reg. price for that one item, since it's B1G1?

      • Chandra

The item will ring up half price as long as you are not in Florida. Just check with your store to find out if you have to buy two or not to receive the deal.

        • sealey5

Well pooh, i'm in Central Florida :P go figure, lol. Thank you.

    • Johana

Oh I found a coupon for the Sweet Baby Ray's on the SS 5/23 paper
      However it is 2/$1 off.

      • busynewmom

my store had some$1 off 1 attached to the bbq sauces : )

      • KashLea1

        Awesome! Thanks!

    • lm

do you have to buy 2 items to use coupons that are for 2 items?

      • Toni

        Yes.

    • gracie1

I bought a double newspaper today for the coupons, and neither one had Smart Source insert. Does anybody know, do I have to return to the store and exchange my paper?

      • Lisa

Yes you can I do it all the time. I don't know if someone is taking them out of the papers or if they were never put there in the first place. Just go to coustomer service. You will have to do this on the day that you got the papers before they run out of them. hth

        • marie

my newspaper was delivered once without inserts…any actually…and a bit mangled…i called and despite the fact I do not take the Monday paper, the News delivered a 'new ' Sunday paper for me and the customer service rep was very friendly…

    • Rose

Jenny, Did you find the benefiber in the small packs that would wind up being free? My Publix only has large amounts and so It would not be free at all.

      • ET

I found them at one of our 3 area Publix. Well, I found the shelf space where they were but they were already sold out today.

      • Elesha J

I found them by the Diet Shakes and nutritional supplements.

    • Sarah

I get the Birmingham, Al news. I Cant find the bikini shaver coupon in my RP insert. Am I overlooking it?

      • I take the Greenville, SC news, and we didn't have that coupon this week. Maybe your paper didn't get it either?

      • You can print the Noxema razor $2 coupon now on redplum.com.

    • The Publix on Thompson Bridgge Rd in Gainesville GA no longer accepts Target coupons. :( The manager told me today that they were no longer taking them. Just thought I would share!

      • Krista_A

That Publix is so not nice!!! I can't stand to go there

    • ToddDu

Spray ‘n Wash Stain Remover With Resolve Power says that is now called Resolve. This should let you use $1 off Resolve product and $1 off Resolve pre-treament, both from SS 5/9

    • Karen

FYI…was not allowed to use Target coupons at the Columbus, GA Cross Country Plaza Publix. I was told they were not considered a competitor so they will not accept their coupons.

      • Tanya

        Karen-
They told me the same thing, but they said the Publix on Bradley park would accept them. The Cross Country one only accepts Winn Dixie as competitor. I had a heated discussion with the manager about it last week.

      • Elesha Jones

My Publix (Central FL) told me yesterday they now only accept a Target coupon if it says Super Target on it. I'm very sad about this. Does anyone know where to get “Super Target” coupons?

        • Mamaberry

Call around…some Publix will take them some won't. The Super Target q's print from the same site as the other Target q's…you just won't know if they are Super Target or not until you print them out, unfortunately :( hth

    • Tonight I spent $18.20 and saved $103! 85% savings!! That included 5 cases of Coke (used the Albertson's 5/11.88 coupon), if I had not bought the coke I would have only spent about $6 for my groceries. Mott's juice were 2.99 BOGO and w/ the store $1/1 Q's, they made for a great deal!! Going back to get a few more before the sale is over!

      • Carrie

Where did you get a Motts store coupon for $1/1? Thanks!

    • kashlea1

For my Central Floridian–I can't find the Qs mentioned for Noxema Shaver & Dixie Plates. If you do, please let me know. Thks!

      • New2itAll

I couldnt find either of these coupons either (also in Central FL).

        • sealey5

I'm in Central Florida too (Davenport), I didn't find them either.

      • joyfullysaving

I get the St Pete times in Tampa bay and I found them both in the RP 5/23 the shavers are towards the back by the hefty one zip and the Dixie is by the discover card ad towards the front. Hope that helps..

        • Mamaberry

Hi joyfullysaving….I am in the same area :) over on the pinellas/pasco side….where are you??

    • Curvychic

I found a great deal at my Publix to get Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks AND $10 movie vouchers for every 6 participating products!! There are peelies on the boxes for B1G1 and the Family Movie Night codes. If you buy 12 boxes @2.29 and use the peelies for B1G1 plus (3) .50/2 coupon found on Target's website—you end up with 12 boxes of Fruit Snacks and $20 worth of movie voucher's and you've only spent $10.74 (before taxes)!!!!!! Not a bad deal at all! It's less than a $1 a box on the snacks! You can earn up to 5 movie tickets with participating General Mills products at Publix. Now, we get to go see Shrek Forever After in 3D for next to nothing!!! :)

    • Crystal

My Sunday paper only had the RP insert. I saw someone else who didnt get the proper inserts either, I wonder what happened. I live in Madison Alabama.

      • Mamaberry

Papers are allotted a certain amount of each insert each week. The priority goes to home circulation. If they run out while stuffing home issues, the stores will not have them. We are having a similar issue in our area…home delivery is the best for assuring you will get your q's. hth!!

    • JO

Today Publix wouldn't accept my $10 off $50 winn dixie coupon and my $5 off $30 Publix coupon because I hadn't spent $80. Has anyone else had the same problem?

      • Jodie

That's right. You have to spend the total amount in order to use both coupons (30 + 50). HTH.. Jodie

        • Product tester

The store is right because they are both “store” qs then you have to spend the total (30 + 50) -like Jodie said…. If it was a manufacturer and a store you could do it with only spending 50.

      • Shawna

My Publix posted their coupon policy last month and they stated to use 2 coupons for get $X off of $XX, you have to spend the combined total of both coupons. (Brunswick, GA)

    • Jbush27

I should have known that when I went today they would have no more Infusium shampoos or conditioners or the Noxema shavers.

    • soylatteqt

My Publix has the 24 oz. French's Mustard advertised at $1.69. With the 50¢ off coupon from May 9th doubled that makes it only 69¢. I notice you don't have it listed. Is that not a good price? I'm in NEED of mustard so I will probably get it anyway, but I was just wondering what is considered a good price for mustard when couponing??

      • jc

no it's not a good price, but if you need a bottle now, just buy one.

    • chrystalm

How long will the fisher fusions be on sale, I'm thinking about ordering some coupons. Those things are awsome. I tried a free package of cinnamon roll snacks it was wonderfull!!

      • pharmSCgirl

I was wondering the same thing. I can't remember the sale price, but they would be free or close to it with coupons. I have so many coupons for those things. I may buy a bunch while they are on sale and donate them or give them to family members. Although I won't wipe the shelf clean b/c I can't stand when other people do that. I'll just buy a few here and there. I'd like to know when they go off of sale too. Thanks for reminding me about those.

      • Dezarah

there is a $1.00 off coupon too so all you pay is the tax which is .02 each. :_)

    • Donna

just a bit off topic for Publix…has anyone noticed in their area RP missing from your papers? for 3 to 4 weeks now, in 4 different paper boxes, no papers have had RP, I have searched about 50 to 75 papers in this time frame thinking someone has stolen them….evidently not because I called a store that's about 25 miles from me, and they didn't have them in their papers either. I could have missed this in a post, and I apologize if I have.

      • Amy

I had a problem a couple of weeks ago. I was missing the Proctor & Gamble and the Red Plum inserts. I called Publix and they couldn't do anything. Then I called the AJC and they sent me my coupons in the mail. I got them 2 or 3 days after I talked to them…..

      • Shawna

I'm having the same problems. Nothing but smart source. I contacted the paper and got no response. Anyone have contact info for the Georgi/ Florida Times Union?

      • Mamaberry

Papers are allotted a certain amount of each insert each week. The priority goes to home circulation. If they run out while stuffing home issues, the stores will not have them. We are having a similar issue in our area…home delivery is the best for assuring you will get your q's. hth!!

    • Renee

The Publix in Lexingotn , SC would not take the target coupon.

      • sg

Also, Publix on Forest Drive will not take Target coupons. SG

    • Crysta

Does anyone know if Publix will take printed black/white coupons, or do we have to print them all in color?? Seems people would try to use and reuse coupons if they would just make copies of them. Has anyone tried to use black and white printed and been turned down because they werent in color?? Id hate to get all my groceries and then be turned down for that reason?????

      • Susan

They can be black and white or color, but must be from a printer, not a copy machine or the store won't be reimbursed for the coupon.

        • ANGELA

Kroger in Loganville, Ga. will no longer take ip's that are in black and white. They say they are not getting reimbursed for them. I don't think that is true however they are looking for any way to not take so many coupons.

      • Stacey

cashiers can check to see if they are copies by looking at the unique numbers that print (usually on the right near the middle) differently on each coupon. just make sure they know the right numbers to check- the ones under the barcode should be the same (if you have more than one of the same coupon) because those have to do with the product/amount to deduct!

i've never had a problem with black and white, and use them all the time to save on printing costs! some printers also have a “quick print” option which uses even less black ink. the pictures on coupons don't come out as clear but still recognizable and all the words/barcodes look fine!

      • shannon

my color is out printing only black and white no problems

      • lizclene

I was told that my Publix on Panola Rd would no longer take any printed coupons including the one on their site effective Saturday per corporate. I politely had her very every transaction for every product that I had a printed coupon for. Has anyone else ran in this problem?

      • chrissie f.

yes they do take B/W coupons i used them

    • I just got back from Publix and I am so proud of how much I got for less than $10. I'm about to post a pic on my blog. I haven't been this excited with my shopping trips in a while. Thanks Jenny!

    • Jess

I was at the Harbison Blvd Publix in Columbia SC a few days ago and attempted to use my printable Green Giant Valley Steamers coupon. I noticed on the screen that the cashier has suppressed the doubling of the coupon. I tried to question why and he was very rude. He then apologized to the woman behind me. Anybody else have trouble? I understand some people are just going to do certain things. The coupon clearly said “Do Not Double”. However, at the Couponing 101 class we were told that it didn't matter what the coupon said. I am confused. The barcode does begin with a '5'. ?

      • ET

It is up to the individual store whether they suppress it or not. Our local Publix stores started suppressing the doubling of these types of coupons sometime last year. It is just a way for them to get around doubling your coupons while advertising that they double. Don't get me wrong, I still love Publix and think they are a great store but our local Kroger and Food Lion have no problem doubling these coupons. I still do the majority of my shopping at Publix but now that our FL is doubling they are starting to get more of my business than before. I took my Publix ad and the coupons to FL and they met the sale price AND doubled the coupon.

    • Toni

At my Publix today they had Curly's BQ pulled pork, beef or chicken 18 oz. tub on sale for 2/$7. Right above it was a blinkie for B1G1, so 36 oz of BQ for $3.50. I haven't tried it before, so not sure how good it is. But be on the lookout for that blinkie coupon if you are interested.

    • Natasha

I could not find the Ecotrin or the Benefiber for 3.49 here in Easley, SC. I was in a hurry but I did look…anyone else found this to be a problem? Thanks!!

      • ET

I found the small Benefiber box at one of our 3 local Publix stores. Some Publix stores have smaller health & beauty aid sections than others and the product availability varies.

    • CPancake

Random question for you all….does Cream of Wheat EVER go on sale at Publix? I am sitting on 4 $1.00 off coupons but I really want a sale to go with them! Thanks in advance!

      • chrystalm

I have 2 also, you could use it at Harris Teeter this week. They have super dubles still you would have to pay $2 after coupons. I have been holding mine also since it has a good expiration date.

        • CPancake

unfortunately, there is no Harris Teeter anywhere near me :(

    • Sarah

I could not find the $3.00 Infusium 23 coupon in SS 5/9. Did anyone else have this problem? Is is ever the case that the inserts contain slightly different coupons?

      • Sarah

Or have I misplaced insert pages somehow? hmm…

        • chrissie f

I could not find this coupon either. Really bummed :0(

        • MaryKF

I couldn't find it but I ended up using the Walgreens $2/1 coupon from the store booklet. I ended up paying .99 each but it was still a deal.

is that the regular price for the yakisoba noodles? i didn't see it listed in the ad.

      • Marina115

They are normally $.70-.80 each. So .60 is on sale. HTH

The Publix on Hardscrabble Road in Columbia, SC no longer accepts Target coupons.

    • Ashley

Maybe someone has said this already, but I went to Publiz yesterday and got the Summer coupon booklet and it has $1 off coupons for the Mott's Melody and since they are B1B1 free this week it only makes them $.37! I buy these regularly for my son because he does not eat veggies and this juice has veggie juice in it and my son can't taste it. :-)

So I was flipping thru my coupons and realized that I have a Family Rewards booklet that I got right around easter. There is a coupon in there for 55 cents off Starbucks icecream. There is also 2 $1 off coupons in this weeks coupons (no I did not pay attention when I cut it out which magazine it was lol) so you could combine that and get a sweet treat for cheap. Just thought I would share in case anyone else has this booklet.

      • Carla

Oh the booklet was at Publix. Sorry I left that out.

    • Tamara

Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. What type of “home mailer” is the $1 off coupon in.
I get lots of coupons in the mail from Publix and I've not seen this one.
      Thanks!

      Thanks!

Ok, so has anyone else had a problem finding the noxzema bikini razors? I have gone to two different Publix and don't even see a tag where they belong. And I don't see them in the ad so that I can get a raincheck if they are out of them.

      • MaryKF

It took me a while to find them too. They are itty bitty and in a box display. They weren't hanging with the other razors but were near other hair removal stuff for women. The individual packages are only about 4-5″ tall and were in a box on the shelf.

I just did my shopping at Publix this week and saved $117.87! I spent $31.27 for a savings of 73%! The cashier was amazed! Yoo Whoo!

Sorry if already asked but is there a zip code to use for the Lawry Marinade coupon printable? It is not coming up for 29483?

I tried to use the 50 cent off coupon from Whole foods for the Vitamin Water and they said it wasn't a manu coupon so they didn't double it so the water was not FREE is this right?

    • Jen

Does anyone know how the Ken's BOGO deal works with the manuf BOGO coupon? Do you get 4 bottles or 3??? I am confused!!! Thanks!

      • Jen
