Going Nuts? I can help you understand coupon terms and abbreviations

This post may contain affiliate links. Read our disclosure here.

Here are your Publix deals that start 8/19 or 8/20. I hope that you rested last week because Publix is having a big week. I can’t remember a list of B1G1’s this long! There are a few deals that are possibly in store unadvertised deals, I’m headed out in the morning to check before adding them.

**Most stores do NOT take Target coupons, but some do.  I have added them for the select few, check with your store before printing**

Remember:
1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price
2. If you do buy 2 items that are B1G1 make sure you use 2 coupons to get the best deal
3. Publix accepts competitors coupons (you can stack with a manufacturers coupon and a Publix coupon too)
4. You can use a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon on the same item
5. Most Publix locations double manufacturer coupons that are.50¢ or less

** #1 and #5 do not apply in FL and coastal GA**

Checked the Tacobell home kit printable link.
Can’t find the product there. Do we need a special zipcode?

    • Kristin

      FYI
Columbia, Forest Acres store– Cherrios end isle display has a sticker on the box for a free reusable shopping tote with purchase.

    • What zip code is the taco bell dinner kits coupon? Thanks,

    • Kelly

Another site had juicy juice listed as a buy 1 get 1 free special. Can you verify if this is truly a special this week or not?

Thanks for all your hard work!

    • Patti

Is this just in my area…here in Alabama…I do not seem to have the RP 8/16 Dove chocolate coupon? Thank you.

    • Jenny
There is a $1.00 off two Natures Own bread store coupon in the Publix yellow advantage flyer, would go great with bogo!

    • Where can we get (or could we have gotten) a $120 savings rebate booklet?

    • Samantha

This week’s (8/16) Smart Source insert in the Tallahassee Democrat had a .55 off 1 Kozy Shack product coupon.

    • smcreech

What zip code do I need to use to get the Taco Bell $.75 off coupon?

    • Jenny
There is also a Tyson $1.00 off Publix store coupon found in the Yellow advantage flyer

    • courtney

When I went to print the NE Coffee Q it said print limit reached…since I have not printed it I am guessing the man. limit is reached :-(

    • Kristen

I can’t find the Food Lion Mott’s applesauce coupon. Anyone know where it is?

      Thanks!

    • AngelathecouponNERD

29201 worked for me for the Taco Bell coupons last week.

    • smcreech

There is also another coupon for Febreeze ($.50) in the Refresh Your Nest for Less booklet. I got this in the mail yesterday.

    • Janet D

Where does the yellow advantage flyer come from?

    • smcreech

      Thank you Angela.

    • Allison

i couldnt find the FL Motts applesauce coupon……… HELP!

    • Amy

Could you put the Mott’s link for FL coupon in the list when you get a chance?
Also, the Targe coupons as a link on the list if you have time?
Thanks for a great list! You are terrific!

    • Erin

There is also a Target coupon for $1 off General Mills cereal. I assume you can stack it with a manf. q if your Publix will accept Target as a competitor.

    • Kim

      Aymie,

The Tyson q in the Yellow Adv flier is not for the correct oz – double check me on that, as I was looking last night and found it, but I’m almost certain that it was off by .5 oz (crazy, huh?). Sorry to burst your bubble…

    • dawn

I just printed the Edwards single coupon for $1 and it says “in any variety” so I guess it is not just for the ala mode type.

    • dawn

also, I have .75 coupon for Uncle Ben Long Grain and Wild Rice. Will they work?

    • Amy B.

Juicy Juice is BOGO (in-store special) here in Columbia, SC

    • christine

The store in Decatur, AL won’t accept the $6 pork coupon anymore (the one that goes so well with the Kingsford sales)…in fact they won’t accept any internet coupon for more than $5. Bummer. Said it was the district manager’s decision.

    • Jenn

Taco Bell coupons appear to be all gone. I have tried 7 different zip codes :-(

    • Children’s Tylenol reg. price

I bought Children’s Meltaway Tylenol for $.09 after store and man Q’s!

    • There is also a Harvey’s Q from last week for Edwards Pie!

My Publix does not do overage but they can make store or competitior Q any amount! So FREE PIE FOR ME!

    • Kelly

I couldn’t get Jenny’s link to work for the Back to Nature products, but found the coupon by going to http://deliciouslivingmag.com/ and clicking on ‘coupons’. Hope this helps!

    • Jennfier

Is there a Publix in Columbia, SC area that takes Target/Food Lion coupons?

    • Laura

Oh, how I love it when they pay me to “buy” Starbucks ice cream! It is a Good Week.

    • .Jennifer

      Jennifer,
a while back I called every Publix in the Columbia area and none take the Target coupons. I have never had a Food Lion coupon rejected. I have shopped in the Lexington, Harbison, Vista and Kennerley Rd stores.

    • @ Kelly,
Thank you so much for the site to print the back to nature coupon, I wanted this coupon, but couldn’t get to the Q.

      Additionally, I still can’t find the Taco Q, I tried 29201…and other…anyone have suggestions?

    • Cindy

Is the Publix ad that comes out on Wednesday different from the one that comes out on Sunday? I know Sunday one has the penny coupon, but other than that are they different? Thanks!

    • Alicia

Does anyone know if Publix will accept coupons without an expiration date? I have some $2 off Silk Soy Milk that a friend purchased on ebay and shared with me. They are internet printables. Just curious if I can use them or not. Thanks.

    • Meredith

There is a target .50 off coupon for starkist–=use if Publix takesTarget Q

    • Jennifer

Bummer! The Bessemer/McCalla Alabama store will not take the B3G1 Kraft Mac and Cheese.

    • Kim
You are right but I am still going to try since Publix does get reimbursed for this they just might take it.

    • Amy

Janet (#15) the Yellow Advantage flyer was in the front of the store in a kiosk. At my store – it’s right when you walk in…where they have the ads for the week and the meal menus. There is also a green one too!

    • If I’m not mistaken, when i went to Bloom early this morning, I think I got a coupon for the 12 pks of Canada Dry Gingerale. I left it at the kiosk cuz I did not need it (oh darn). It is a manufacturer coupon (starts with a 9). I believe it was for 1.00 off a 12 pk. I know the Publix on Fairview Rd would take it anyway, even if they did not believe it was a manufacturer coupon because they take Bloom competitor coupons also. With the b1g1 sale, it would make a 12 pk 1.59! That’s pretty good! Wish I had that coupon!!! Oh well, I’ll drown my sorrows in some FREE Starbucks Ice Cream!!!!

    • valerie

there is also a cvs printable coupon for $1.00 off on baked lays, sunchips, smartfood, etc…it would go great with the sunchips on sale for $3.00

    • Michelle

Just an fyi, as I am not sure if these are in all Publix stores, but at two stores in Murfreesboro, TN. there are manufacturer coupons on the BOGO Tidy Cats for $2 off any 1 Tidy Cats. I just bought two of the 14 lb. packages this morning for $2.99 total (plus tax)!

    • Sarah

Can’t get the taco bell coupon either !

    • Anna

Are the Target tuna coupons a match? The only ones I saw were good for 11 oz. or larger and the publix ad says for 6.4 oz.

With the Jennie-O turkey on sale I think this would be a good time to use the $10 off coupon from the Biggest Looser season finale. This is the first time that I have seen Jennie-O on sale since I started couponing. Does anyone know if this is a good price?

    • There is a Target Starkist coupon for $1.00 off three I printed from their website.
      Does not specify a size.

    • Bethany

Can anyone help with a coupon printing issue? Whenever I try to print anything run by SmartSource (their website or manufacturer’s website powered by SS) it only prints a 1-in by 1-in picture of the logo of the product. I have already installed everything they require to print but it still doesn’t work. Please help!!!!!!!!!! I’m missing out on valuable coupons!

    • **FREE RICE**
There is a coupon for $.75 off one Uncle Bens rice, making both boxes FREE

    • AngelaDH

I asked the lady at customer service in the Ooltewah store. She said that they do take competitors’ coupons (I didn’t ask which) if they are for a specific item. They take Target but honor what they say. The Silk one I had said “one per purchase” so that is what they do.

    • holly

    • Phillis

Bethany, I am no computer person but have you tried rebooting your computer?

    • Ashley

I just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work compiling deals, printable coupons, etc. My husband recently lost his job and we have a baby on the way. I am overwhelmed with “to-do’s” and I have little free time right now. Your blog makes bargain shopping in a time crunch so easy. I used today’s Publix list to help make our last $22 of grocery money for the month stretch pretty far. :)

I REALLY appreciate what you do. Keep up the good work!

    • 30013 for the Mrs pauls is giving me a $1.50 off, not $3 – any ideas?

    • Kacy

Am I the only one LOVING all of the organic deals this week?! Thanks for all the coupon links, Jenny! I appreciate your hard work each & every week :) You are a blessing!!

    • Bethany

      Phillis,

Yes, rebooting doesn’t change anything. I am also running the “virus” called Vista if that helps anyone know what to do.

    • **ANOTHER COUPON ALERT**
If you buy 3 bottles of Sprite, they are buy 2 get 1 free. Use the coupon for cheezeits, get one bogo deal of cheezeits and save $2.00 on 2 bottles of sprite.

    • Lynn
Its in the binder type pet coupon book found a while back at Publix.

    • If your Publix accepts Whole Foods Q’s there is a $1.00/1 q for any Back to Nature Product in the Aug/Sept 09 edition of The Whole Deal flyer found at Whole Foods. This would make the granola or the cookies that are B1G1 a great deal this week.

    • mandie

Bethany, without sounding snarky- have you considered that maybe you are out of black ink and it’s printing from the color ink cartridge only?
If that’s not the case then I don’t know what to tell you. Hope someone has an answer for you.

    • Bethany

Not sure what snarky means, but yes, everything about the printer and the computer are working properly. I take it no one else has this problem?

    • Lana

      Patti,
The Greenville News (SC) did not get the Dove Chocolate Q’s either. Bummer!

      Bethany,
Everytime I have updated Java my Smartsource coupons will not print. My hubby put the old version back on and told me to leave it alone! I have better luck printing Smartsource on my ancient desktop that I use only for extra Q’s than my new laptop. Go figure.

    • Mandy

Edwards Pie coupon through Walmart website – 0.75 off

    • Bethany

      Lana,
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I pulled out my old laptop and it will print the Qs. It’s slow but it works!

    • RACHEL

      Bethany,

Try turning your virus protection off prior to printing. I often have problems with the adware for the coupon printers. Hope this helps.

    • Maranda

I too was looking for the coupon for the Mott’s from food lion and found this link, Hope it helps http://www.southernsavers.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/flip-8-12-02.pdf

    • Jennifer

There is also BOGO Glaceau Smart Water in the “Nothing to Waist/Curves” booklet found at Publix. Makes it $.50/each.

    • Donna

Valerie, I can’t find the online CVS coupon for SunChips $1/1. Can anyone help?

    • angela

For the Kotex, can you combine the B1G1 store coupon (from the baby club) with the $1/1 manuf coupon? If so, how does the pricing work out? Thanks.

    • FYI, the Blueberry Special K is NOT part of the sale at the Trenholm Plaza Publix in Columbia, SC.

    • Lauri

Does anyone know how to go about getting the Sunday paper from another area? I’m interested in getting the Atlanta Journal on Sunday’s for the coupons. Does anyone know if these can be obtained from the bookstores or do I have to subscribe? My area paper is usually missing a good bit of coupons that the Journal seems to have.

      Thanks for any suggestions/tips.

    • Robin

      Lauri,

Atlanta Journal can’t be found below Macon is what I’ve been told! =( We called to try to get a Sunday subscription but we are too far south.

    • Angela W

Lauri- I live in Columbia, but can reserve copies of the Charlotte Sunday paper at a local newsstand.
Jennifer-i shop at Gervais, forest de, harbison publix and all have taken Food Lion coupons, but not Target/CVS. I have alsp used catalina’s of $x.xx off your next order.
      HTH

    • jennifer

thank u so much for responding, but I still can’t get the mrs pauls. I’ve tried the zip listed and mine plus others. Only $1.50 listed. My computer must be jinxed! Thanks anyway!

    • valerie

      donna,

if you go to cvs.com there is a slideshow in middle of the screen showing current deals. one of the slides is for the sunchips. that will take you to the coupon.

    • valerie

you can also reach the $1/1 sunchips by going to the printable coupon page at cvs.com…on the right hand side of the page there is a box that says “NEW! cvs today savings” click on that and a new page will open up…on the right hand side is the link for the coupon on sunchips, baked lays, etc.

    • .Jennifer

      AngelaW,

I also live in the Columbia area. Where do you order your Charlotte paper? Are the coupons way better?

      Thanks!

    • mandie

Bethany, glad you got your Q’s Yay! When I said without sounding snarky I meant that I didn’t want you to think I was being a smart aleck, or smug… that kind of thing. :)

    • chocolate, chocolate, chocolate…hehe

The red plum site does not show the coupon mentioned. Is there a zip code that works?

Thanks a bunch for the list!!

    • oops, sorry, that would be for the dove chocolates. :)

    • Mary

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Publix on Woodruff Rd, Greenville no longer takes Target or Food Lion coupons. They said as of Aug 15 they only take traditional supermarket coupons. They stated only BiLo and Bloom. I was disappointed.

    • CouponNERD

      .Jennifer –
Yea, the coupons in the Charlotte Paper are better….but I only get 2 when we have 3-4 inserts coming.
      St. Andrews NewsStand.
      :)

    • Laura

When clicking on the link for the .50/1 Lipton tea link, all I’m getting is coupons for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter & Hellman’s Mayo – nothing else. Is anyone else having this issue? Can anyone provide a link to the .50/1 Lipton printables? TIA.

Many, many thanks for these AWESOME lists. I can’t believe how much money I’m saving! :)

    • Samantha

The coupon in the 08/09 Grilling Favorites book for Minute Maid will work on the B2G1 Coke 2L since MM is a Coke product. There is a coupon for $1.50/2 2L so that would be .49 for 3 2L if they are included at your store as well.

    • Miranda

I found 4 pack sticks of butter (I can’t believe its not butter) BOGO at $2.49…then there were pull off coupons from the dispencer in the diary section to save $1.00 on each. I got two packs of butter for only $0.49 (I think these can combine with another Q also!!). I now have eight packs of stick butter in my frig!!

    • Crystal

      Angela Post #72

Baby Club coupons are considered store coupons so you can use them with manufacturer coupons. I do it all the time :o) I think you can even use 2-$1/1 coupons and it will all come off, you just have to make sure you have a filler for the extra coupon.

    • For those living in Conyers, GA. IHOP (ff of 138 in plaza with Walmart & Home Depot) is serving free pancakes Today & Tomorrow, August 20, 2009. You must ask for the customer appreciation free pancakes. No purchase necessary. (No purchase neccessary and all you can eat, those are the best deals!)

    • Bummer! My Mott’s coupons didn’t print nicely & now I can’t reprint because it says I’ve reached the limit. Do the stores really need to read all the fine print clearly on the coupons? Or does the bar code store all the info for them? Wondering if I should take the poorly printed coupon & try it or if I am really wasting my time.

    • Anne-Marie,

I have taken some rough lookng ones and have never had a problem.

    • Here’s the Food Lion Mott’s coupon for those who couldn’t find it. http://www.southernsavers.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/flip-8-12-02.pdf

    • Tarin

Greenville’s Publix at the Parkway -29615- said no Target or FL coupons anymore. So sad!

    • Patti

I bought 8 packs of Dove Dark Chocolates(BOGO) tonight. My Publix did not have the $2.00 tearpad, nor did my Sunday paper have a coupon…just curious…DID ANYONE HAVE THE DOVE DARK CHOCOLATE COUPON in their Sunday paper? I would love to go back in with my receipt and some additional coupons. Thanks, Patti

    • Cheryl

      Great Publix trip!
      Spent 77.00, saved 103.70.
What is great about this trip is it included meat as well as many other great buys.
      3 bags of Tyson Chicken
2 boxes of Mrs. Pauls Fish Sticks
      1 pork roast
      4 Contessa Frozen Meals

The Tidy Cat litter is buy one get one free at 6.99 and each container had a 2.00 peelie. 1.49 for the best kitty litter in the world, is a great deal.

I did the kingsford charcoal deal
      Charcoal was 6.99
I had a 2.00 coupon for the charcoal, the 6.00 off pork coupon and a free KC Masterpiece bbq sauce valued at 1.77.

My 83 year old mom lives with me and she loves shopping so we were also able to get the 5% senior discount.
Our cashier was an older gentleman and he was great about the coupons and the savings.
We were also able to pick up the Toss Cash fliers at the front of the store.

Thanks again Jenny for the hard work.

    • Not sure if anyone else noticed that the link for the Fiber One yogurt also has the Yo-plus yogurt on it too. You can print two from each of them. Then if you go to Yoplus.com you can print another two. That is 6 coupons. I am so excited, I have 3 girls and we all love yogurt!

    • Carrie

Publix store had a BOGO manufacture coupon on the bag of Purina Beggin’ Strips Dog Snacks…so I used that coupon with my 1.50 off coupon, which made them free and gave me 1.50 overage on each bag!!!

    • Sandy

I cannot find the Mrs. Paul’s $3 or $1.50 coupon. When I click “printable” and the site comes up, Mrs. Paul’s is not one of the choices, no matter what zip code I put in.

Can anyone help me find either of these coupons?

    • Damien Barber

      Patti,

Alabama newspapers get a really skimpy Red Plum… they have disappointed me on numerous occasions. We do not even get a third of the Red Plum coupons that the rest of the country gets… and it is often the best ones that get left out. :(

    • Donna

Thanks to everyone who responded re the CVS coupon. I have a b’day party for one of my kids this weekend and the SunChips would be great. Of course when I go to CVS.com the site is temp down, but I am sure I can get the Q’s once the site is back up. Thanks again!!!!!

    • Jenny
I do not see Perdue chicken breats on here for $2.99 a lb.
Is that not a good deal?
Should I wait for a better one?
We only have Publix where I live…

    • Michelle

      Patti #94

I second that disappointment with the Red Plum in Alabama! I wish there was a way to get them from another state.

    • Michelle

      Patti #91

I looked everywhere for that Dove chocolate coupon and was so disappointed that I didn’t have one. I didn’t realize you could go back in the store with a recipt and coupons….they will take the coupons off and give you back money?

    • #89

:) As long as the bar codes is clear you can use it. I had some really bad prints of coupons, but clear bar codes – they scanned just fine.

    • Pam

We do not have a Harvey’s in Charleston, SC. Did I read that it is owned by Food Lion? Does Food Lion here take Harvey’s coupons? How about Publix?
I stacked coupons for the first time at Publix this week and the cashier was super nice and helpful. Her and the guy bagging my groceries just were rejoicing with me at how much I saved on my bill…over 50%! She even let me use a Rite Aid coupon for the $2.00 off 12 pack of coke.

    • Thanks for all the hard work you do!

      I spent $22.01

      Saved 123.72!

Check out my blog for pics

    • Morgan

Not sure if this has been asked but…
if the general mills cereals are BOGO could I use 2 – $1 target coupons (our publix takes target coupons) and a manufacurer coupon? I know I’ve done this before but I just read the target coupons and the say, “Limit one offer per transaction”. I’m not sure if they always say this but I just noticed and don’t want to look like I’m trying to abuse the system :)

    • Mandy

There was a flyer at Walgreens with several coupons you could use at Publix this week – $1 off chips ahoy and kotex – can’t remember the name, but it was at the front counter of my store :)

    • Kelly

The walgreens ad is called Back-2-school.

    • Jenny, I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet or not so i apologize if i’m repeating this info and i’m not sure if this was in the publix ad and didn’t see it on this list, but i found it at the store this morning. the smuckers uncrustables are BOGO at publix and there is a $1.00 off coupon at
      http://www.lunchboxbuilder.com/coupon/default.aspx
They are regular price $2.79 and 1/2 price would be $1.40 less the $1.00 coupon makes them only 40 cents for the box.
there are 4 in a box so it makes them only 10 cents each WOW!!! what an easy way to make a child’s lunch in the mornings.
      thanks for all you do!

    • Lane

For you fellow Blue Bell lovers, it is $1 cheaper at Piggly Wiggly this week – $2.99 a half gallon. With the $1 off coupon, that $1.99 for Blue Bell! Yippee! (Stillnot as good as being paid to eat Ben and Jerry’s, but not bad when one doesn’t have those coupons!)

    • Julie

I’m still determined to help you find the Mrs. Dash coupon. LOL! At the top on the right hand side where it says BRAND drop click that and select Mrs. Dash. then press go. It will pull up both coupons unless maybe you printed the $3.00 one already? I dunno this has me puzzled! HA!

My printed coupons never scan no matter where I use them at.

    • Mickie

I just printed the cole’s garlic bread q. It says Do Not Double. So it will be .89 instead of .39?

    • Lisa

Juicy Juice was not B1G1 at my Publix (NE Tallahassee FL) today. Not even on sale. I guess it is a regional unadvertised special.

    • Great Trip here in Orlando!

We the exception of fresh fruit, I was able to completely shop for two weeks!

      Saved – $146.55

      Spent – $83.60 **

***that was with two match box cars and OJ (that I wasn’t expecting to buy and didn’t have a coupon for )that my WONDERFUL and very cute helper needed, hahaha, Yes, I said “Needed”

      I love COUPONS!

    • Christy

Great Publix week!! My Publix is surrounded by all 3 drugstores as well as multiple Targets so they take all their competitor coupons!!!

    • Tracie

      Michelle #100:

I woould try to trade for these inserts on Southern Savers Traders, you are bound to have something that someone is looking for. I’ve had some great coupon swaps here!

Does anyone know if the store in OOtewah, Tn take harvey’s coupons or not…

      Thanks

      Thanks

    • Leigh Anne

I’m on IE and cannot get the Back To Nature coupon. Can anyone help?

    • Christine

I went to Publix this morning (Atlanta, GA) and they had an unadvertised special for Pert Shampoo at 1.99- There is a publix coupon for 1.00 off then a manufactures coupon for 1.00 off – if your store allows you to use them both, you can get yourself some FREE Pert Shampoo!

    • Patti

Thanks, Damien and Michelle, for responding…I thought I was going crazy! Yes, Michelle, I think all stores will let you bring back receipts after the transaction and will redeem your coupons. Well, at least I know my Publix in Alabaster, AL will.

    • Colleen

I have two Dove chocolates coupons- I used one today but I do think it was a newspaper one (Nashville TN).
I think it was Aymie a while back in the list of comments asking about the $2 off Silk coupons from Ebay with no expiration. Those are FRAUDULENT! We drink only Silk on my family (at reg price $6 a gallon) so I am always on the lookout to save on it but those won’t do it! I was able to use the .50 off Silk from Target today at Publix though!
I had a question of my own but seem to have forgotten it now!

    • jennifer!! Mrs pauls not mrs dash!!LOL! Well, today I found the coupon -I had already printed it and it got misplaced, so I guess that’s why it wouldn’t show up?! Anyway, u are way too sweet to worry! Thanks tons! julie

    • Cindy S #92

Thanks. I’m going to take it. Que sera sera.

    • Colleen

Oh- I remember now. I checked the price of the children’s tylenol/motrin at Publix and it is $7.19. Minus the $4 in coupons =$3.19. Is that a good price or will it be better at CVS/Target? It’s not on sale and I’m not desperate so I can wait. But if it is- will get it before coupons expire!
      thanks!

    • Jackie

      Jenny,
Thank you so much for all you do!! I am pretty new to the coupon world and was so excited about my Publix trip that I had to tell! My total trip cost $1.66 and I saved $94.91!! I was able to tell the cashier about your website and she wrote it down, maybe another couponer on the way!

    • Jenny, Thanks for all that you do.Just wanted to say that I went to Publix to get a coupon booklet and they were out in one day because people were taking stacks of them.Wish others would save some for the rest of us!!

    • ok – now I am new to this also – but I REALLY want to know how you saved 94.91 and only spent 1.66. I would also like to go shopping with you!!!! Way to go!!!

    • Mandy #66

How does one find coupons on Walmart’s site?

    • Last time Publix ran the BOGO on the Mac N Cheese & I had the B3G1F coupon, I ended up B1G3F because she just took off the whole box price. I told her I thought it should be only half of that, but I didn’t argue with her decision. Hoping they might do it that way again! (and ours run $1.29 per box)

    • Becca

hi, i am new to the coupon world and i love it! however i am little confused on how it all works. for instance the lysol is B1G1 and i have both the coupons…. but how does it equal out to only .34 cents? am i missing something?

    • I think that Tostitos Salsa tearpad coupon expired on 8.12.09…unless there is a new one I haven’t seen. Please correct me if I am wrong.

    • Melinda

Ashley post 51 – Hang in there! My son’s a single Dad and has been out of work since April. We’ve been keeping two households going and all with the help of Jenny through this website. Thanks to everyone for the deals. Couldn’t do it without you!!! My deal today, CVS, I bought 2 Purex 3 in 1 detergent sheets B1G1, used 2 $1.00 off coupons and one 2.43 ECB and paid .54 for 40 loads of laundry.

    • Melinda

The Publix at Furman in Greenville will take competitor coupons but they won’t let you stack with a competitor. You can only use a Publix coupon and a mfg coupon together.

    • Pam

Today I found and used the tearpad coupon for free salsa when you buy two bags of tostitos at Publix in Charleston. It expires 9-19-2009. There was also a tearpad beside it for $2.00 off produce when you buy one bag of tostitos and one jar of tostitos salsa or queso.

    • Jessica

Thank you for posting Target & other competitor coupons – my Publix still takes them!! I love checking this site for the Publix deals each week – thanks for all you do!!

    • Colleen
You have me confused with someone else.
We dont drink Silk and I never use coupons without expiration unless I am sure they are legal (like the Publix healthcare ones)

    • Alicia

I asked about the Silk coupons. I didn’t buy them, they were given to me so I was unsure of their origin. Just wanted to check to see if anyone had any idea if they were legitimate or not. I would never use a coupon that I was unsure of so I guess I have my answer.

    • Colleen

Sorry Aymie- it was Alicia- got the first letter right, anyway! It’s too bad about those Silk coupons- my SIL and I were going to buy them too from Ebay but were leery as no one was bidding on those but were on a different coupon ( and bidding alot too!). I somehow found an Ebay announcement that said they were fraudulent.
My question is where do these coupon ebay sellers get so many hard to find coupons anyway?

This week Alberstons (flyer mailed to house) has a $5/$50 purchase coupon (valid Fri-Sun only) you can use at Publix. And I received a Publix $5/$30 purchase coupon (valid 8/20-9/2) in the mail 2 days ago. You can use both of these if you have them.

    • .Jennifer

I thought I would be able to print a coupon from the tuna game every day. I am kinda disappointed! I thought I would be able to stock up. :-(

    • Just to let everyone know, GO NOW https://ssl.unilever.com/starbucksicecream.com/Coupon-Reg.aspx?coupon=a
The Starbucks Ice Cream coupon has reloaded:)

      Mary #84

I got the exact same response at the Easley store yesterday. :(

    • Wendy

FYI for Lost Mtn. Crossing shoppers….as of 8/29, they will only be taking Kroger, Food Lion and Ingles competitor coupons.

    • Colleen and Alicia
I bought 20 Starbucks coupons from a seller and it was completely legit and fast service.
Look for the sellers that have a lot of positive feedback and sell a lot of coupons.
I am thinking that they get them from the actual company. Maybe someone works for the paper and has the 411… Wish I did!

The juicy juice bogo is not in Thomasville, GA and our Publix will no longer take a $5 off $25 coupon (or something similar) until AFTER ALL other coupons.

    • Alicia W.

There is also a $1 off 1 Sun Chips coupon in the September All You magazine that I recently received in the mail.

    • Wendy

Re: SouthFL #155….usually the Starbucks BOGO is listed in the fine print in the ad and also on the store signs.

Juicy Juice BOGO here in Dallas, GA as well.

Aimee…I get the $5 off 30 mailed to me every now and then because I signed my kids up for the soccer promo that Publix offers. Try asking at cust. service.

    • Does anyone know where there are some green giant frozen vegetable coupons?

    • Julie

Ooltewah, TN store has totinos pizza rolls B1G1 & there are LOTS of coupons out there for these.
Thanks for all you do- I couldn’t make it through my grocery week w/o all your hard work!

    • Gale

At our local Publix tonight, the cashier would not use my coupon for $5.00 off purchase of $25.00 until she deducted all the other coupons. By the time everything was deducted, I was below $25.00 and then she would not accept it. I still did good with my other coupons, but was sad not to use the $5.00 one!

    • susie

Does Publix take the Bilo coupons that print out from Bilo’s cash receipt? I’m still learning and appreciate all the input from everyone. I’ve recommended this site to bunches of people! Thanks.

Hi Jenny! Thanks for all you do! Just FYI for everyone that I learned at my Publix (Birmingham – Caldwell Mill and Valleydale Rd). Publix will take Super Target coupons but not just Target.

    • Patti

My local Publix refused the Harvey’s coupons this week. Said they had been sent a memo that required the competitors coupons to be for local stores only, and we don’t have a Harvey’s.

      Any suggestions?

    • patty

I would love some of those dove chocolate coupons. Did not find any in my rp and my publix never has tear pad coupons. Any suggestions for tally? (I need them for teacher gifts)

Thank you Nikki! I was not able to use the last printable for the starbucks. Can’t wait to try it!

Went to print the Contessa coupon and was told that it had expired. FYI!!

    • Sharon

Just returned from Publix in the Irmo, SC area. Apparently they no longer accept competitor’s (Food Lion) coupons for Deli and Bakery items. So we had to put back our “meal deal”, lunchmeat and cheese. Oh well, off to Food Lion then. BUT we did only spend less than $40 and save OVER $40 on this trip.

    • Julie

Publix in Franklin, TN does not accept Harvey or Target coupons.

    • Kelly

Igot a 100 Calorie Snack package and a Chips Ahoy package for $1.49 for both. I used the $1/2 Nabisco Cookies or Crackers from the “Nabisco $55 savings” booklet plus a $1.00 Walgreens Chips Ahoy coupon and a $1.00 Walgreens 100 Calorie Snack coupon.

    • Amber H

Ditto everyone else on thanks for posting the Target coupons! My Publix still takes them and they really help. Great week this week!

    • valerie

I am just thrilled about the money I’ve saved. I can’t thank you enough for your work. I recently lost my job and thought my husband and I were doomed to eat ramen noodles and mac n cheese until I could find a job. This was my second week couponing… I spent just over $52 at Publix, but I saved $68!! Best of all we’re eating REAL food. I’m looking forward to building my coupon supply so I can really save. I’m also preparing for my first CVS trip tomorrow…I’m getting my coupons ready. Wish me luck!!

    • Andrea

As an FYI I have heard that the penny item this week will be paper towels.

    • Katie

Patty- Those Dove coupons were on tear pads near the front of the store on the turning racks where they keep the Publix papers with the store coupons in them. That was several weeks ago, so I am not sure that they would have any more at this point, but it is worth a look. I have learned that when you see tear pads, it’s best to get a coupon and save it for later.

    • Monica

FYI- there is a Publix advantage coupon that expires this week for $5 off of a Duracell DayLite LED flashlight and then there is a manufacture’s coupon for $2 the same thing (not sure the date, but it was in the PG insert). Just thought I’d let everyone know in case you needed a cheap flashlight!

I couldn’t find the Hebrew National coupon at the website linked above but I did go to their main website and they have some:
      http://www.hebrewnational.com/coupons-promotions-special-offers.jsp

    • I shop at the Fernandina Beach, FL Publix store and I got a great deal with the $6.00 off pork coupon (not sure there are anymore prints left) But if you have one lying around:

Last week (i think) Jenny listed a deal scenario for this coupon but my Publix’s price on the charcoal was much more expensive so i chose to pass for the time being. However this week i noticed that the charcoal (18 lbs) was on sale for 6.99 and I had a 2.00 off coupon. I also had a coupon for a free bottle of KFC Masterpiece BBQ when you buy Kingsford Charcoal which qualified me for the 6.00 off pork. On top of that each Charcoal bag had a coupon for a FREE pack of Hebrew National Hot dogs with the purchase of the charcoal. Because Hebrew National was BOGO this week it meant getting two packs of GOOD hot dogs for FREE! So this what my deal scenario was:

      BUY:
      (1) 18 lb. bag Kingsford Charcoal (with the Hotdog coupon)$6.99
      (2) Hebrew National Hot Dogs $5.09 (on BOGO)
      (1) KFC Masterpiece BBQ $1.95
$6.05 in pork chops (which were on sale this week) $6.05
      USE:
      (1) 2.oo off Kingsford Charcoal
      (1) FREE Hebrew National Hot Dogs wyb Charcoal coupon
      (1) FREE KFC Masterpiece BBQ wyb Charcoal coupon
      (1) 6.00 off pork wyb Charcoal and 1 participating product (BBQ)

      Total: $20.08
      Coupons: $14.95
Total: $5.13 (less than cost of meat)

I did this deal two times.

I LOVE PUBLIX! This week was great! My total was $97 and I only spent $19. Everyone is usually really nice at my Publix, however, I didn’t recognize any of the cashiers I usually go to. I got in line and the cashier asked me if I had any coupons and I handed her my stack. She sighs and puts them to the side. It took her 15 min to go through all the coupons. I was really proud of myself this week because I had a coupon for everything I bought. The cashier made me feel as if I was doing something wrong. She kept telling the people behind me, I am so sorry, she just has a ton of coupons and it takes forever. At the end she wouldn’t let me use my Rite Aid of $5 off! Oh well, I still saved a ton. It started taking so long, I started sweating because she was embarrassing me. Has anyone else had an experience like this and do you have any recommendations for next time? Last but not least, hats off to Jenny and everyone else that helps my family and I save a ton of money!!!! :-)

    • Jessica

So…my Publix today would not let me stack the $3.00 manf q and the $1 publix store coupon for the $3.99 Mrs. Paul’s because they said that the item can’t be free. Any advice?

      Thanks!
      Jessica

Does anybody know if you can use a Morning Star $2.00 off Catalina coupon that came from Kroger and says on the right side, “Redeemable at Kroger” at Publix?

      Helen
Yes this has happened to me a few times.
If the cashier says “Im sorry this is taking forever she just has a lot of coupons” I would chime in and say “yes and its totally worth it! People need to be more patient in this world anyways!”
THEN I would give some coupons to the person behind me!!!
      Kill them with kindness!!

    • Lynn

Sorry to hear about all the issues with cashiers and coupons. Being a cashier myself though, you have to understand that we have to keep our IPH (items per hour) up to an acceptable level. Unfortunately, coupons and “earth friendly” bags slow us down considerably and bring up our IPH. I know most couponers try to make it easier for us and most of us are appreciative of that, but it still brings our IPH down. Low IPH = not a good review = no raise. Sorry, but I don’t think huffy cashiers will change until this scenerio isn’t true anymore. Bottom line for the stores is to make money just like ours is to save it. Just trying to give a different perspective on this.

Thanks for this site. I save so much more money now, even though, I get the huffy cashiers too. LOL! I’m just a little more patient with them then most customers.

    • Liz

Just to let you know I found a booklet “Smart Savings!” Kimberly-Clark at Publix, it has Huggies diapers and wipies coupons, Pull-ups, Goodnites, Kleenex, Viva, Scott, Poise, Depend, Cottonelle, and Kotex $13 worth of savings.
I got 20 of them, I ask the manager at the publix where were the booklets and he said that a ladie was handing them out, I only found one inside the store the rest (20 of them) I found them in the garbage can and on the carts outside the store, they were a bit wet since it was raining, but oh well, money is money.

    • The Publix in Villa Rica, GA no longer accepts Food Lion coupons. The manager said the only competitor coupons they take are: Target, Ingles, Walgreens and Kroger. This is as of August 2009.

    • Phillis

JEB which insert? I will check to see if I have any.

Thank you Jenny! I got $135.00 worth of stuff for $35.00… I saved $100.00!!! It would have been less, but I got a few Boston Market meals for when I am feeling too lazy to pack my husband’s lunch, $2.50 is better than the $5-10 he would spend on fast food!

    • Alisha

Another Fantastic Publix trip! Shopped at the Publix on Ben Sawyer Blvd. Pretty nice store. Staff was very helpful. What can I say…I Love Publix. I try to visit a different one each week. James Island is still one of my favorites, though.

Used the following: $5 off $30 or more Publix coupon
$10 off $50 Harris Teeter coupon
      $3 off $10 Food Lion Deli/Bakery
$6 off Pork coupon with the $2 Kingsford coupon
      (5) $1 off Kotex coupons
$1.25 Publix coupon for Butterball Turkey SS
      $3 Mrs. Paul coupon

*I used alot of other coupons for just about all of my products. I even got 2 packs of Snow Crab Legs at $10 a piece on this trip, too!!

      *Spent $56.74 and saved a whopping $98.83*

The cashier and bag girl were very excited for me. She even handed a Top Chef coupon booklet. I also picked up one of the Toss for Cash booklets on the way out. Jenny, thanks for all that you do to help everyone save money for groceries and all of the other things that we need/want!!!

    • Sharon in SC

OK, anyone having trouble in Lexington, SC getting yellow or green flyer’s? Or any coupon flyers? Went yesterday to do normal Monday shopping and went to Customer service where manager told me there are none? Mine expired end of July and begining of August, I believe it was, Why still NO new ones? Manager made me feel like I was asking for 100 dollars?
Thanks Jenny for all the list, paid 68.00 for 129.00 worth of groceries.

    • Carolin

I want to thank Jenny and everyone who helps her with these wonderful deals. I’ve been using coupons for about 6 months now and can’t get over how much money I use to spend on food. I found another website that deals with just publix deals. She always has tons of overage. Crazy stuff like buying 16 bottles of sundown vitamins(tons of overage). My question is I think that I have mastered couponing, but am now trying to find ways of finding overage. Somehing that she does is buys the single serving of Cheerios uses a $1 printable coupon from Target and then uses a $1/2 manuf coupon. I’m thinking that these coupons usually don’t have a size limit. Has anyone tried this? She also uses a $1 target printable for Glad product and then a $1 manuf coupon. This also is overage. She doesn’t say which item she buys. She just says that it is overage. Just thought I would give some ideas I’m picky about soaps that I’ll use. I have sensitve skin. At Publix there is a soap made by Method. It works pretty well. In the summertime savings booklet there is a $2 off coupon and Whole Foods booklet has a $1 off coupon. Stack these and you should be able to get really good hand soap for less than a $1.

    • Amy

Method soap is half price B1G1 3.89 at Ingles and they take the $2 coupon. This makes it free.

    • Alyson

For the Mrs. Pauls try zip 30125.

    • Carolin

Amy I’m so jealous. I don’t have an Ingles.

    • Jennifer

There is a $1 off Tyson’s chicken coupon in the Toss for Cash booklet. If you combine that with the $1 Food Lion coupon and the Publix sale of $4.99 a bag, they end up being $2.99 each!

    • Aymie

Does anyone know when Rotel or Betty crocker icing will be bogo??

    • Andrea

There is also a $1 off 1 coupon on the Sept issue of All You magazine for SunChips.

I just wanted to let you know that I ended up buying Dove coupons at http://www.thecouponclippers.com
…kinda exciting…we just got back from Disney World and I had lots of nicely clipped coupons in my mailbox!

BTW, I found out that the Publix stores in Florida charge full price if you only buy 1 item of BOGO! Didn’t realize how lucky we are here in Alabama…if you buy only 1 item of a BOGO, you only pay 1/2 price!
