It’s another week for Publix deals. I got a lot that we needed last week and I’m glad to see that this week will fill in even more that we need. If you are new to Southern Savers read up on what all this means.

Note:  I have added in the new coupons for October.  Not to many changes.  Only big one to note is that you have an Old El Paso printable again for the B1G1 deal!shoppinglist1

Remember:
1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price **
2. If you do buy 2 items that are B1G1 make sure you use 2 coupons to get the best deal
3. Publix accepts competitors coupons (you can stack with a manufacturers coupon and a Publix coupon)
4. You can use a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon on the same item
5. Most Publix locations double manufacturer coupons that are.50¢ or less **

** #1 and #5 do not apply in FL and coastal GA**

    • Guess I’ll get plenty of publix bags this week!

      • Kristen

Yeah I know! Woohoo! Might have to make them nerdy couponer gifts for the family! haha!

        • CouponNERD

Hey! I didn’t think of using the bags as gifts! Thanks for the idea!
I do try to keep them around as they are handy for carrying food to events, kids stuff for a park playdate or sleepover, or…. actually remembering to bring them with me to the store to use for GROCERIES!

          • Misti

I am sooo terrible about leaving them! and they are usually in the back of my van but I go in without them, and by the time I remember I am in the checkout line and no time to run out for them!

            • traci

I keep them in between my front seats of my van. I always forgot them and now I see them so I can remember to take them in. ;)

        • erin

they were putting out some very cute halloween ones when I was there the other day trick or treat bags for sure :)

      • Damien

Can you get multiple bags with this deal? Or is it one per customer?

        • kurstin

the coupon says one per customer, but you could probably just do several transactions…

          • Cori

I got 4 in one transaction!

      • Ruth

Watch for the Publix reusable Halloween bags. Since they are they same price you can use the coupon on them. Great for Trick or Treaters!

      • Melissa

What am I missing? What do I need to get a free bag? My mother in law needs some.
        Thanks.

        • Bobbie

Look under the Green Giant Veg and Pillsbury deals above.

          • jordan

I tried to use the free bag coupon when purchasing two of the Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls at the East Lake Publix in Atlanta. The cashier and manager (who didn’t even come out to talk to me) refused it stating it was for cereal only. I pointed out that the coupon said Gen Mills Products, and showed them on the Pillsbury container where it said Gen Mills. I’ve emailed corporate.

      • Becci

I am trying to print the coupons for the free bags and for the hamburger meat, but it won’t let me. A screen pops up that says go to clickmail.com to download and print coupons. I do that and then click where it says download and print now and it just takes me back to the same screen that says go here to download and print. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

    • CouponNERD

Thanks for quick work with the lists this week, Jenny! This is the highlight of my Tuesday night! :)

    • Thanks so much for this!

On the T.G.I Friday Skillet meals – there is also a coupon that was in the Toss For Cash – it is $2 off a skillet meal (this is a store coupon that expires tomorrow) but you can stack it with the $2 manufacture coupon from the Fresh, Frozen, and Flavorful and it will make it .99 each! Can’t beat that!

Also, if I buy 6 Hamburger Helpers and use (2) .75 off 3 boxes – can I also use 6 of the $1 off ground beef or do they only allow 1 of those coupons (the ground beef ones). Because I am hoping I can used 6 of them and get $6 worth of ground beef. Does anyone know if they let you do this?

      • libby

        Depends on the cashier.

      • Tarrah R.

l’d say that you could use all 6 beef coupons also because it is on the actual MEAT- and if you aren’t using any other coupons on the meat, it should work- Like back when the Kingsford Pork coupon was out; we were able to use coupons on the items we had to buy to get the $6/0ff the Pork, but still could use the $6 coupon as well. HTH!

I would think you could only use six $1 Qs if you had 6 different meat products. In other circumstances you can not use more than 1 store Q per product.

        • Angi

I am a cashier, and I would take the Publix $1 off of meat for every box a hamburger helper you had. So, if you had 6 boxes of HH and only one package of meat, I would take off $6 on the meat. As long as the meat is either more than $6 or free after the coupons it is my understanding that we can do that. We just can’t have an overage.

          • libby

I know the rules are different for every store but I was told the other day that I can’t even have 1 coupon for every item. Have you ever seen such a thing?

            • Sue

Read the coupon. I had to have my manager do that with the Kraft singles $1 off hamburger meat deal. I had 5 and purchased 2 meat packages totaling more than $5.00. They only wanted to take 2 coupons. They tried the “it’s implied” route, but finally said yes. Devil’s in the fine print!

      • Deena

They only allowed me to use one per meat product at the store on Central Ave in Summerville today. HTH

        • Lynn

Was your cashier Nancy? She does not seem to be very friendly to coupon shoppers. I know now to avoid her line.

          • Deena

I asked at customer service before checking out, but I also have had numerous problems with Nancy. I avoid her line whenever possible.

      • Farrah

Just got home from the McCalla AL store & I was allowed to buy 3 HH w/.75 q + 3 meat q’s. Makes it a pretty sweet deal!

      • Kathy

My daughter and I went to the New Georgia Publix (Dallas, GA) today and had no problem using the $1 off ground beef Qs. I bought 3 Hamburger Helpers and she bought 6. I was able to get $1 off each pack of ground beef- I got three and she got 6! Also had no problem with the free Publix bags-She got 6 or 7 and I got 5. Thanks to Jenny for pointing out that General Mills is not just cereal!

    • Monday’s Tennessean (at least the one delivered to homes) had an advertisement insert for HG Hills- it had a page of Kraft coupons tht will match up with a lot of the sale items here!

      • Katie

Was it an insert by itself? I did not see it in there…..

    • M Rose

Jenny–LOVE the new features!! We have been out of town for a few weeks and had not seen the upgrade!!! GREAT!!!

    • Chrissy

YES! I *knew* the cookie dough would go BOGO at Publix, as opposed to being in a “mega deal” at Kroger…I had multiple coupons for the dough and bought one pack to bake that afternoon, but my gut instinct told me to save the rest of my coupons for a Publix BOGO event. Hurray, gut instincts! And hurray to Jenny and southernsavers.com, who taught me to wait until stuff comes out at a great deal, and THEN use my coupons!! I’m a very, very happy cookie monster :-)

    • Damien

Many of the Velveeta Shells and Cheese have a Free Kraft Barbecue Sauce wyb 2 Velveeta Shells and Cheese. That sweetens the deal even more.

      • Tarrah R.

perhaps there are also coupons for the BBQ sauce- which could triple sweeten the deal…?

        • Michelle

There is a new $1.00 off of two Kraft BBQ Sauces in the new Food Lion/Harvey coupons.

    • Save $1.00 When You Buy 2 Campbells Cooking Soups
      ( Must Print Coupon)

      http://www.campbellskitchen.com/

      • Jenny

Just so you know the cooking soups are not part of the sale at all.

        • WandaH

I know this isn’t a store we usually talk about, but Dollar General has the 16 oz. Campbell’s soups for $1 most of the time & they do take coupons.

        • Andrea

I’m very new at all this and you are all a great help! Wanted to say true about Campbells cooking soups not on sale, but my Publix took the coupon anyhow (and doubled). How did I do here–Pledge Dust & Shine on sale for $3.39. Had a coupon for BOGO free, and a coupon for .50 which was double. Came to $1.20 each.

    • Elizabeth

Does anyone know a zip code for the coffee coupon? Thanks!

      • Natalie

I used the zip code 30074 to get the coffee coupon.

      • Janie

        Try zip code 37206 HTH

    • Ginny

With the Progresso soup/Crescent rolls deal you outlined, couldn’t you use two “Save $1 on Pillsbury bread” (since you are buying two rolls and two soups) and make it a $0.50 moneymaker? The coupons say “one purchase per coupon” but not “one coupon per purchase/order” so that would work, right?

If so, not bad to get paid $0.50 to take two crescent rolls, two soups and one shopping bag!

      • Tarrah R.

That’s what I am going to do. I see it like you do, should work!

        • Ginny

Yep! I did it and it worked! Two bags, two soups, two rolls and they paid me 50 cents!

          • Catherine

An inspiration! I plan to try this at my Publix and will let you know.

            • CouponNERD

I’m going to try this moneymaker today!

      • Katie

Good luck ladies! I had my 1st bad experience today at Publix with coupons in Spring Hill. Be careful with the Progresso/Crescent Rolls deal….I tried to use this scenario 2x’s in 1 transaction:
        3 Progresso Soups
        2 Crescent Rolls
        1 Publix bag

        coupons:
        $1.10 off 3 Progresso Soups
        2 $1 off Crescent Rolls
2- Save $1 on Pils. bread wyb Progresso Soup (since I was buying 2 Crescent rolls)
Free bag wyb 2 Gen. M. products

The cashier only would let me use the 2 Publix coupons for the scenerio, so be careful if you try to use this same scenerio 2 x in a transaction. And when I said well let me seperate it and do it in 2 transactions she told me no I could not do that..it was not right and you cannot stack coupons like that.

hope you ladies have better luck….i would have done this transaction on different days if I had know so I would not have waisted all of my $1 off crescent roll coupons.

        • JIM

Spring Hill is getting really bad about changing policy every week without displaying any rules. My SIL, two friends and I have all had trouble with the cashiers being ugly, irritable and rude with our coupons. I haven’t been back in three weeks. Sorry, but we work hard to gather coupons and make a list to shop. It’s like a job because it takes so much of our time to do this and then be treated so badly is just wrong. I’ve complained about the SH store and you should too. (online) I also talked to an asst man. there and she said that the cashiers make us rules as they go, but she didn’t act like she could or wanted to do anything about it. Whatever… there are other stores to shop at!

          • Katie

Thanks Jim! Atleast now I know others are having problems out there too. I will go onto the website… The sad thing is the guy that was bagging my groceries appoligized to me on the way out to my car for how the cashier talked to me.

          • Crystal

Blond haired lady with an accent, right? Don’t EVER get in her line…she’s awful. I had a bag boy apologize for her as well.

            Anyway, check out http://faithfulandfrugal.blogspot.com/2009/09/spring-hill-publix-coupon-policy.html

It’s a local blog to Spring Hill…she also offers a great couponing/family budgeting class. Anyway, she has an article there outlining the what the new policy changes at Publix are SUPPOSE to be, although the cashiers are not being consistent, and also why it happened (lady in Franklin bought a ridiculous number of trail mix with a huge overage and corporate publix got involved). Hope that helps….and stay away from the blond cashier. :)

      • It did work for me.
Buy: two Progresso, two crescents, one bag.
Use: (1) free bag WYP 2 GM, (1) $.50/2 Progresso (doubles to $1), (2) $1 off crescents and (2) $1 off Pillsbury wyb Progresso
I actually forgot that there would be overage, so I had to throw in a pack of Ferrero Rocher ($.89) to get the last $1 coupon to go through. Darn.
        Total OOP: $.56 with tax

      • Natasha

It worked for me too! :) I got 15 cans of Progresso, as I had 5 $1.10/3 cans of soup, and 8 $1.00 off biscuits w/purchase of soup, and $0.50 off each can of biscuits… they all went through perfectly :) I was only able to get 4 reusable bags, but that’s ok! :D Awesome purchase… it’s our favorite soup!

    • libby

Anyone know how much dawn is at Publix – I would like to do thhe rebate.

      • Aymie

Hey, which rebate are you talking about?? Is there one specifically for Dawn??

        • libby

It is for P&G products and you get a free breast cancer kitchen set.

          • Kimberly

Do you know where I can find the rebate?

            • libby

there is supposed to be info in the publix’s

      • The small bottle is 1.99

    • libby

Anyone know how much the ponds would be at Publix or CVS?

      • Michelle

At my CVS, the Ponds towelettes are $7.29 B1G1..and I used two 1.50 off coupons.

    • Kristie

Anyone know if it’s the big cans or small cans of crescents & biscuits on sale for $1.00? I’m trying to decide if I want to use my coupons at Kroger or Publix. Thanks!

      • Ginny

It’s the small cans. Perfect for our little family!

        • Sarah

my store has the regular size cans 10/10.

          • Michelle

Wow…that is amazing….my store has the half size cans 10 for 10.

            • DeeDee

My Publix had a combo. The crescent and cinnamon rolls were the small ones, but the biscuits were the larger ones.

    • I found “Crunch Pak Apple Slices” Publix Coupon in a Publix flyer (on the mailing list). I am not sure which month it was from, (I tore it out!) it would have been fairly recent, though- $1 off = only .88!

This particular coupon insert is about 8 1/2 x11″, on heavy card stock, and also includes perforated Q’s for…Loreal Kids Shampoo, Et Tu Salad Kits…35 free prints, etc (hopefully that will help identify)!

      • Anne Marie

This was from the Publix Family Style Magazine. I already used it a few weeks ago though, bummer!

        • Tarrah R.

So…when I don’t find any coupons in the Family Style Mag’s in store…is this because I need to get it in the mail to get the coupons!??!

          • Meredith

Yes. Only the ones mailed have Qs. Go to the Publix website and sign up for all of their magazines to be delivered to you. Its super easy!

            • Robin

I signed up in July and have still yet to receive one. Do you know which months they come out?

              Thanks

    • Jenny P.

There’s a target coupon at Hot Coupon World for $1 off 1 Chex Mix. It’s good until 10/24!

      • Tarrah R.

Yep, saw that, too! Great time to STOCK UP!!! $.17/each is a steal…although, I’m almost tempted to hold out for a BOGO and have a major money maker! Though…I know getting too ‘greedy’ can mess up a great deal. I’m torn…! LOL

    • stacey

how many of the Publix coupons can we use for the $1 off ground beef when you buy hamburger helper. I am buying 21 boxes of HH and I would like to get 9 packs of beef ( we are out of beef right now, we have 2 steers ready to load up in about 2 weeks, maybe that will last awhile!)
      thanks

      • Steve

        Eat Mor’ Chickin

        • Becky

          These Chick-fil-A people, I’m tellin’ ya… sheesh… :)

          • libby

            lol

      • Aymie

I would do two seperate transactions just to avoid confusion…
Maybe do one, pay for it, bring it to your car, then go back in and do another one, maybe with a different cashier… HTH

        • Meredith

If you buy 9 packs of beef you should be able to use 9 $1 off Qs with no problem.

      • Lindsay

The Coupon for the $1 off meat actually states “1 per purchase per coupon per customer” so I am not so sure you can use 6 of them at one time. Guess it depends on the Cashier.

        • Heather

I used 6 today and had no trouble with it. HTH

      • Angi

I consider 1 purchase to be 1 purchase of one Hamburger helper. If you are purchasing 24 boxes, I think you should be able to use 24 of the $1 off meat coupon. I am a cashier and that’s how I would do it.

    • Michelle

By the way, I live in Coastal Georgia, (Kingsland) and our Publix does not require you to buy two of the B1G1 items.

      • coupondiva

I wish it was the same here in Jax, FL! My mom stays close to Kingsland so she goes there alot!

      • Margaret

Hey Michelle, I live 45 minutes north of you in Brunswick, another coastal town. We also do not have to buy two of the BOGOs. Each one rings up half price. I asked the store manager and he said that was a tax law thing, so I think Florida is the only state that you have to buy two of an item to get the sale price. I also asked why we don’t get the penny item and he said that was a regional division issue. But Publix in Brunswick takes Harveys and Food Lion competitor coupons, so I am happy. Have you been to the Harris Teeter on St. Simons yet for triples or doubles?

        • Michelle

          H Margaret,
Yes, I went to HT for the Triples event! I saved quite a bundle. I have not gone back since I have been getting such great deals at Publix! The Publix here is great, the management is always very helpful. They also take take Harveys, Target and I have been told that they will take the RR’s from Walgreens since they are technically manufacturer coupons. I will find out for sure tomorrow as I hope to use about $20.00 in RR’s. :) I have a list of 122 items and expect to pay only $20.00 out of pocket. Oh yeah, and this store will also take the $10 off $50 coupons that Winn Dixie gives out!

    • Tiffani

On the hamburger helper deal and the progresso soup deal, can you not use 3 $1 off meat since you are buying 3 boxes of hamburger helper, and the same on the progresso/pillsbury deal.

    • Aymie

Does anyone know if there is a $.75 off coupon for Cheezits? I cant find it on the site Jenny gave us…

      • jenn

I cannot find it either….I’m searching for one and will let you know if I find it.

      • Katie

There is….I printed it off sometime, but not sure when. Sorry not to be of more help.

        • Aymie

I printed that one already and used it… I will just have to wait to get my papers on sunday :)

      • Lauren

        It expired in September

        • Ashley

You can go to http://www.snackpicks.com for the .75 off Cheez Its coupon. It seems to only be printing one per computer, though.

          • DeeDee

There is a Cheez it coupon ins todays paper.

    • Michelle

There is a Harvey’s/Food Lion coupon for the Lay’s Potato Chips. The Kingsland, GA Publix will accept it since we have a Harveys nearby.

      • Ln

I used to live in Kingsland.

    • Kel

Thank you so much for the printable list- It makes saving extra easy. I appreciate your dedication to saving and sharing all of your ideas with us!

    • Becky

YAY! I can’t wait for my trip to Publix this week – this makes my day! Thanks for all your hard work Jenny :)

    • Emily

I have just decided that my local Publix is pathetic when it comes to these coupon books. They hardly ever have any of the ones I see on here.
They finally had the “Toss for Cash” booklets on the front turnstile Monday – I was so excited until I realized all the coupons in it expire today!

      • Erin

Our store hardly ever gets booklets in, so I emailed a request from the Publix website and a few days-a week (can’t remember exactly) later the local Publix manager called me saying they had one of the booklets in that I was looking for (one stop), and then later that day I received a fed ex envelope from headquarters with 3 one stop, 3 toss for cash FL and 3 toss for cash GA, totally unexpected. I was pretty impressed.

        • Michelle

The coupons books in Athens, Al are hard to come by too….I finally stopped at the front desk the other day and asked if they had any coupon books back there and she kind of gave me a weird look…but then came back with a handful of different ones. I had not seen these anywhere in the store.

          • Jenn

I’ve noticed that at the Athens store as well. Occasionally, when I do see a display, it’s empty and it stays empty.

            • Stacie

They keep theirs behind the CSM desk. I have asked for them several times and they always had plenty to hand out. She said too many people were taking handfuls.

    • Treva

Can I use the Pace coupon if there is no Food Lion around? It does say manufacturer’s coupon on it. Thanks

      • Freedom Ellis

I used the pace today and their concensous was that it is actually a manufacture coupon. It begins with a % so i would point that out if they question it.

    • Cris

The Toss for Cash booklet in the Nashville area does not have the TGIF coupon (unless I’m missing it) =(. Oh well.

      • I do not have it in my booklet either and I have the booklets for Columbia.

        • Becky

Those are the FL booklets only. THe other states got a different kind of booklet.

          • We live in Alabama and I got the TGIF coupon in our toss for cash. (However it was one that corporate mailed me b/c I couldn’t find it.)

    • Amy R

Jenny- I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new “print your shopping list” function. I used to write it all out by hand ( including the coupon match ups) and you save me so much time and money!!! Please know that what you do is a real blessing for so many families!! I tell everyone I know about your site and how much it does for my family!!

    • Tracy

There is a Food Lion flip for the Pace salsa $1/2

      • Tracy

oh forget it I didn’t notice it was a manufac, coupon, sorry.

    • HSV mom

Don’t forget the .55/1 coupon for Kraft BBQ in the Game-Day coupon booklet I found at our Publix. It is a coupon size pull off stack of coupons I found in the lobby of my Publix with all the other coupon booklets, but it maybe somewhere else in your store.

    • Kelli

Can you freeze the cans of biscuits & crescent rolls? I am kind of new at couponing & stockpiling…have been doing pretty good with dry goods – so now I am trying to learn about things I can freeze. Jenny, your site is amazing & has definitely helped us financially during this hard time – you are a true blessing! Thanks so much! I am looking forward to you being in Cleveland, TN! :)

      • Tiffani

I have frozen canned biscuits and they are fine. Just make sure that you thaw them in the refigerator. I don’t think you can freeze the crescent rolls, something to do with the flaky texture.

        • Laura

Oh, glad to hear this! I was wondering the same thing and got mixed results from a google search.

      • Cathy

I have frozen the crescents and cinnamon rolls with no problem. I let them thaw in the fridge before I’m ready to use them:)

        • Kelli

          Tiffany & Cathy,
Thanks so much for your help! :)

    • Thanks for posting all this!

    • I have the Toss for Cash for Columbia but I do not have the TGI Friday’s coupon in these. Was there another Toss for Cash booklet I missed?

      • Becky

Again, it is in the FL booklets only. The other states got a different kind without that coupon.

      • I am also in Columbia and I grabbed extra of these when in FL visiting family. I have extra and since they expire today let me know if you need some…..

    • Susan

There is a $.50 off Ragu coupon in the K-Mart coupon book (should double).

      • Did the Kmart coupon book come in the paper or do you have to go into Kmart to get it?

        • Susan

I picked it up when I was in K-Mart awhile back.

      • The Ragu Q from KMart will not double at my store (Goose Creek Publix) My receipt says “bonus coupon suppressed”. Boo.

    • Does anyone know if the Publix in Trenholm Plaza in Columbia starts their week on Wednesday or Thursday? I’m thinking Wednesday but just not sure.

      • Jenny

All the Publix’s in Columbia start on Wednesday.

    • carol

Just made a quick run to Publix on break. All the Scrubbing Bubbles have $2.00 off 2 peelies on them. They dont expire till Feb 2011!! sweet sweet. I bought 6 cans for 3.83

      • leigh

The nestle cookie dough had $1.00 peelies on them too.

      • Katie

You can use the $2 off peelies for 2 on the Scrubbing Bubbles & the $1 coupon in the Publix book (the one with the mother daughter on the front in the kitchen with aprons on)..makes it .49 cents for 2…..

        • Scott

The coupon in the One Stop, One Store booklet is a MC. Can not be used with the peelie.

          • Katie

For some reason they did let me use them both :) The cashier and the sacker had a discussion about it and they ended up agreeing you can use both…..

    • Kellie

$2 off 2 Cheez-It peelies in Madison, AL!

      • Becky

Actually Jenny has listed it above with the printable link (didn’t realize it was a Target link until a minute ago…) :)

        • Colleen

Sadly, no PF cookies coupon in the Tennessean.

        • HSV mom

I am in Huntsville and cannot locate the Pepperidge SS coupons. Has anyone else in my are had that problem. I would really like to buy some of these, but will wait to see if I can find the coupon.

    • Erica

What a great week for Publix, had I known I would have skipped Kroger this week altogether. I always look forward to my Publix trip.

    • Sam

Has anyone in the Chattanooga area had any problems using Target coupons at the East Brainerd Rd Publix? I called them to ask and tey were vague in response. They told me how they do not get reimbursed for the coupon but would accept one if it was for an item they carry (duh). She also said te prefer only one Target coupon per customer per day. What???? Any advice is most appreciated.

      • Susan

I have used Target Q’s there and never had a problem. I love the E. Brainerd Publix.

        • Ashley

I live in the Nashville area and my Publix will take all coupons but the Target ones..

        • Susan

I guess I should add, I have not used more than 3 or 4 at a time, and not more than 2 for the same item (ex. 2 TQ’s for 2 bags of dog food). Hope that helps.

        • Sam

Thanks. I think the manager was trying to tell me they would accept them, but did not like a person to use a bunch of them. I have never shopped there but I plan to give it a try this week.

          • diane

I shop at the Publix on East Brainerd all the time. The staff there is great. They will accept Target, Food Lion, and BiLo coupons. When I want to purchase a lot of one item I ask them to order extra for me so I don’t clear their shelves.

    • Tarrah R.

Wish Publix in FL started their ads today for this week. Although, they proabably planned it so that the coupons in Toss for Cash would expire before the sale. Ah, well. Still other GREAT deals!

      • Aymie

I agree. Florida always gets the crappier end of the deal! Oh well, I am not complaining, I still have saved tons of money thanks to Jenny and others!

        • libby

          I concur

There is a $1 Target coupon expires 10/24 that if combined would make it .17 (or free + I guess if the MQ doubles? I noticed the $1.17 price is just with .50 off not $1 off when doubled). And I checked the links this time! :)

So .34/2 plus a free bag isn’t bad. Even better if the coupon doubles.

      • Susan

I used 2) IP Q’s $.50 off, they doubled, and 2) $1 off Target Q’s. 2) Free Chex Mix and overage. Also a free shopping bag.

    • Lindsay

The Coupons for the $1 off meat and Free Bag actually state “1 per purchase per coupon per customer” so I am not so sure you can use more than 1 in a purchase. Guess it depends on the Cashier.

      • Ginny

Actually, at least with the ones I have they say “Limit one purchase per coupon per customer.” For instance, with the “Save $1 on Pillsbury biscuits or bread,” to me that means, you can use one coupon on one purchase of soup (with accompanying can of rolls). So if I have two cans of rolls and two cans of soup, I can use two coupons (one “per purchase” of soup/rolls).

I wouldn’t argue it with Publix and would leave it up to the discretion of each store, but the way I read it, it sounds like following the rules to use two on two cans of soup and rolls. And I wasn’t surprised when it worked at my store this morning and I ended up with 50 cents overage.

        • Rita

I just left Publix and used 4 of the Pillsbury Publix coupons, 6 of the ground beef Publix coupons, and 4 of the free shopping bag coupons. They took mine with no problem. I went the the Publix in Mauldin SC on Butler Rd and I don’t know the cashier’s name but she was young with blonde and pink (yes, pink) hair.

It was a GREAT trip by the way. Spent 70.43 and saved 131.65!

    • I love scrubbing bubbles almost as much as southernsavers (not really). I just saw that there is an SC Johnson rebate – $5.00 back when you buy 3 products. Jenny, do you know if it is for 3 DIFFERENT products or can it be, say, 3 scrubbing bubbles?

      • Susan

Where did you find the SC Johnson Rebate?

        • Val
        • I bought this too and I can not get the reabte to come up. Can you help me?

          • Val

Click on the link I peviously posted and go to the home page. At the bottom there are various icons. Click on the scrubbing bubbles and then click the coupon option. You will find directions for getting the rebate there.

      • kim

The rebate is on ANY 3 SC Johnson products. It does not say 3 different ones.

      • I went to Publix today and at mine in Gallatin tn the scrubbing bubbles had 2/2 q on them! YAY!!! and they’re bogo… hope that helps someone!

        • Teresa

My Publix also had the 2.00 off 2 on the cans of scrubbing bubbles and was bogo and it made my purchase .55 cents a can so i stocked up since i clean houses for a living, so this has really helped me. Its almost like buying 6 cans for the price of one. and the extra coupons that i didnt have to use yet, dont expire till 2011.

    • Teresa

I tried to buy a Publix brand peanut butter today (which tastes like Jif to us) and the checker told me I could get it free if I bought the Jif. So I got 2 PB’s for just 20 cents more than I would have paid for the store brand. Didn’t see that advertised anywhere but it was a good deal – it’d be even better if I’d had a Jiff q.

      • Teresa H.

Hey Teresa, Its somewhere on thier web-site. I found it earlier today. I think its under promos or something similar. Each week it will be for 3 different things. You buy brand and get thiers for free. Bi-lo also has that deal also and I think kroger might, but not sure.

        • That promo was listed in my Publix overview/Penny Item insert in today’s Sunday paper. This week it seems to be: Buy Del Monte fruit can, get Publix brand can FREE. Buy Jif, get Publix PB for FREE. Buy Del Monte veggie can, get Publix veggie can for FREE. And there is a Jif PB tearpad and a peelie floating around out there. Cool!

    • Sunni

Has anyone notice the signage changing at the front of the Publix stores? I was in mine (Hermitage,TN) this morning and noticed as I was leaving that the wording is different. Until recently it read that Publix accepts all competitors coupons. Today the new signs read that Publix accepts all supermarket competitors coupons. Are they changing their policy about coupons from walgreens, target for example?

      • Cori

These signs are posted at the registers in Greenville, SC too.

        • Sunni

any idea if they are changing their coupon policies there? I heard that it depends on the store if they will accept all or only supermarket coupons.. I have no idea if my location is changing. I used target and walgreen coupons in there today without issue.

          • Yes, sadly this is starting to happen here in Georgia as well. However, I did call around to other Publix stores nearby and their rules vary. It seems as though it is up to each store. I often call ahead and ask about coupons I am not certain about – and yesterday got the news my Alpha., GA store no longer accepts comp.coupons unless they are from grocery stores, i.e., Kroeger, Ingles, Whole Foods. Fortunately, I do have a Publix 10 mts away from this one and they still accept all comp. coupons. As it has been recommended many times on this wonderful site – it is best to call ahead. I do find the rules change so often, month to month, cashier to cashier.

            Happy couponing to all.

I am sorry if this is old news, but just had to chime in. My Alpha., GA store manager said that this is to happen at all Publix stores.

            • Susan

Sally—This is happening in Cumming, too, but I found that the Alpharetta Publix at Bethany Bend on Hwy. 9 near Windward is still accepting all competitor coupons–I even asked. They take my $5 off of $20 coupons from Rite Aid all the time, even though CVS is the only drugstore close to them (across the road).

      • The one in Gallatin doesn’t take Target walgreens or Cvs. BOO!!! I was jsut informed of this today

        • Mandy Gabers

Really can you blame them though…Atleast they accept Food Lion when the closest one is H’ville

    • Lindsey

I am having problems finding the $3 Smithfield bacon coupon. I signed up on the website but a coupon did not upload…. any tips?

      • libby

        the limit has ben reached

    • Buy Theirs Get Ours is:
      Jif Peanut Butter
      Del Monte Green Beans
      Del Monte Peaches

      • Christina

Bonus: I had a $.55 Jif store coupon and a $1 off wyb Jif and Smuckers coupon. Smuckers isn’t on sale, but the large jars of grape jam/jelly (regularly $2.69) almost never are on sale, at least not for BOGO. So I bought the two PBs and a jelly, used both coupons, and paid less than $3.50 for all three.

    • Christina

Thank you for all your hard work on this each week Jenny! It is really, really appreciated!! :)

    • There’s a (rare) $1/OFF Cascade coupon here:

      http://cascadeclean.com/en_US/specialoffers.do?src=scrip

Seems like I can never find these when I need them so I’m gonna stock up! :o)

    • dawn

Does anyone know the zip for the progresso printable? Or is it gone already? I tried 90210. Thanks!

    • stephanie

I noticed today at Publix that Bush’s Baked beans were on sale and black beans/garbanzo beans were bogo. I didn’t see these on the list though…or maybe I missed it.

      • Megan

I hope that’s the case at my Publix too, as my 1 year old loves baked beans! I think she would eat the whole can if I let her!

        • stephanie

          Baked beans in SC
          2 for $3
          Black Beans/Others
          BOGO @ .97 cent (.48 ea)

    • ****Deal Alert****
Muir Glen Tomato Sauce is 89¢/can. There is a $1 off any Muir Glen in the Better at Home booklet. Its a GM product so you get overage and a free bag for every 2 you “purchase”!

      • Michelle

My store did not carry the Muir Glen brand but the manager happily substituted the Publix brand for me and let me use my 1.00 off coupons and the free bag coupon.

    • So thankful for you Jenny. I’ve been waiting for about 2 weeks for the dishwasher detergent to go on sale, and here we begin!

    • Rae

A coworker found this $3 Huggies coupon – her publix let her use it with the in-ad Q as well (not common – YMMV – exp 10/7): http://publix.shoplocal.com/index.aspx?pagename=moreinfo&storeid=1033361&circularid=15623&pagenumber=2&uniqueid=19202013&dssid=30a7fb0e-e12f-44c6-87f8-74147c33da84

      • Megan

This is a Publix coupon – I don’t think it should be used with the in-ad coupon, but I guess it is really up to the store.

    • spent $14.99 saved $81.15 Would have been higher if somebody hadn’t bought all the crescent rolls already!! This ain’t your grandma’s grocery shoppin’!

Also, for those of you who shop Ballentine, I left abt 15 copies of the Florida Toss 4 Cash book at the turnstyle since I couldn’t use them all. They expire today but hope some so. savers found them :).

      • Patricia

        Why did you have 15?

        • Karen

Hope this doesn’t mean that one person took so many, left 15 for the other hundred shoppers who might have wanted one during the past weeks, and thought that gracious.

        • WandaH

Maybe that’s why they’re so hard to find! ;))

        • I was in Florida on vacation visiting my sister so I grabbed extra of their toss for cash booklet since it was different than the one we got here in South Carolina. I got back late Sunday night clipped the coupons I needed from 2 books and left the others at my favorite store Tuesday as soon as I could get there. I was saying that I hoped the people here in SC benefited from the 15 copies I lugged to the store from 600 miles away.

If you guys don’t think that was generous I’ll just look out for myself next time.

          • Jenny

That was definitely sweet of you! I just spoke with the grocery manager out my way and he confessed to doing that from other stores to bring more coupons to his store!!

          • Patricia

That was generous. Thanks for explaining :)

            • Thanks Patricia. I think sometimes we couponers can be quick to judge (myself included) and I think we should cut each other some slack. Nobody knows anyones whole story from a couple words in a comment post and all of us are here for different reasons. I hope you find that I am quick to share a deal when I find one and always try to help others save like I have been able to.

    • Nadine

Hello, I’m new to the site. I’m trying to figure out why you list several coupon offers under each item. Are you giving us options?
It is my understanding that only one coupon is allowed per purchase.
      Please explain.

      Thanks, happy couponing!

      • Kathy

Hi Nadine- We were all new at this at one time or another. The reason Jenny does this is so that she can let you pull a coupon from any and all sources you may have available. If you just started then you probably won’t have an insert from July or August so you might have to get the printed one (sometimes those are higher amounts off anyway.) I use all I can find and buy multiple items, using one coupon per item. There is usually no limit to the number of qs you can use if you are using one per item.

        • DeeDee

BUT< you can use 1 store coupon AND 1 manufacturer coupon for the same item. AND you can use 1 coupon each for a BOGO=2 coupons for 2 items, even tho one is “free”. Better savings.

    • lynn

Jenny i realy like the new system you have hear just wanted to know what happened to them being nu8mbered i kind of miss that but thank you for another great week

    • Kris

I don’t know if it is just me but is everyone having trouble with coupons lately. Every store I seem to go to they are suddenly questioning every coupon I have. I’ve never had a problem with coupons that make overage at Walmart. Today a cashier went off on me over $.07 cents. Telling me how she can’t take it and she will end up in the office and I didn’t argue with her or anything. Kroger is acting all funny about coupons reading all the fine print and questioning everything. Haven’t had the problem with ecoupons YET. I always have the items I am using coupons on not trying to pull something over on them or anything. Just very weird this last week-week and a half. Having to stand there and pull things out of bags to prove I got the item. Just crazy this week.
      kris

      • Kris

I have a question. When a store allows you to get the overage on a coupon are they not getting that full value from the manufacture? Or do they loose out when the item is not over the price of the coupon?
        Thanks

        • WandaH

The store gets the face value of the coupon + $.08 — no matter what they charge for the product. So, they are not losing money.

    • Maranda

I can’t get the Idahoan coupon to print. I fill in all the stuff and then a box pops up says printing and progress says Preparing…. I have waited a while. I tried on 3 different computers. Also I cannot find the $1.10/3 coupon for the progresso! And I don’t have any of the others for progresso because they don’t seem to think we need them in this region, Lol. Sigh, I’m having a few problems this week.

      • HSV mom

        Hey Maranda,

I know what you mean about not getting the coupons. I couldn’t find the Dove, Pepperidge Farms or Progresso. Really disappointing. I am in Huntsville, AL. I don’t know why they think we wouldn’t want these coupons.

    • Sunni

      Hey Kris,
I know exactly what you mean. The last time I was in Kroger (and this is largely why) a few weeks ago, the cashier had me dragging things out of my bag as if to “prove” to her that I had the right items that she just scanned!! I asked her if she wanted a magnifying glass to read the print on the coupons as she had such a hateful attitude toward me for using them. I was only in there for just a few things, it was not as if I had a cart load with tons of coupons; just a few items. She acted like I was robbing her personally.

    • Susan

Question, at the bottom of my receipt it says Transaction Disc 5.00% -$2.49. Have they always given a 5% off what you purchase? This is something new to me.

      • Freedom Ellis

I know on Wednesdays senior citizens over 60 get 5% off their total.

      • Susan

OK, called Publix they give Senior discounts on Wednesday. Never shopped on Wednesday before, but I will start now. Love Southern Savers and my Publix!

    • Kris

Sunni… It’s crazy… You run into a rude cashier or manager from time to time. But this week has been so crazy I’m start to wonder if it’s worth it (and I know it is). But just the time it has taken me to get out of a store this last week is insane. My first job was a cashier at a grocery store so I know they get in trouble and wrote up for taking coupons they shouldn’t but this week has just been over the top with every transaction I do and proving I got the items and stuff. I didn’t know if it was just a bad week for me or are the retailers changing all the rules and cracking down now that I have them down pat and it’s finally second nature to me… lol errr

      • Sunni

I’m with you – it is crazy, I mean these companies put these coupons out there for the consumers and yet you have these whatever kind of people giving you a hard time when all you are trying to do is save some money… geesh! Sadly, I too seem to be running in to it more and more lately… errrr!! lol ;))

      • Michelle

In Athens, AL I had to unpack a back to prove that I had purchased the items required….never had to do that before!

    • Sandra Daws

I guess I tried the concept of stockpiling today with the pillsbury canned crescent rolls, cinnamon rolls and grands and the publix cashier was not happy to see that I had internet coupons for them all. I had 8 rolls, 4 cinnamon and 4 grands. They advertise as 10 for $10 and I did not even buy ten of each and the cashier was running to the manager who told me I should not be buying so much because she wanted some left on the shelf for the other customers. Also she said next time she had the right to limit the number of coupons used but would let me use them all today. By the way, there were plenty still left on the shelf.

      • Katie

Wow! I did not have a good exp. yesterday at Publix either. I did not buy 10 of any item either, but they told me the limit per item with coupons was 10…strange they told you they could limit your coupon purchase. For some reason all of a sudden it seems like this week they are getting strict on their policies?

        • lynn

ok now i am confused they advertised a sale 10 for 10 but they dont want you to buy 10 of them hmm they should not advertised something they do not want you to do and also if they are going to limit the number of coupon you can use they should post it for everyone not just you ….

    • The windex had .55 off coupons on the bottles and I had two $1 off coupons. So I paid .45 a bottle for windex. yes!

      • Please be careful. Most coupons attached to bottles/packages are manufacturer coupons that CANNOT be stacked with other manufacturer coupons. It is illegal to use more than one manufacturer coupon per item. You may use one manu coupon and one store coupon per item. But not two manu q’s.

        :)

        • Lauren

Sounds like a Publix store coupon to me, hence the 55¢ instead of 50¢. I’ve got Publix store peelies on my Huggies diapers box before.

    • Spent $90.00 Saved $70.00. (these are rounded) i;m fairly new to this, so how does this compare to everyone? I think it’s pretty good, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

      • Jenny M

Ginny, this is a great start. As you get a stock, you ought to be able to do even better. If your Publix takes the Rite Aid 5 off 25 (or similar coupon) then you can also shop in $25 or $20 increments to get the most savings. It takes extra time but for a family of four I’ve only been spending about $15/week on groceries now. But my Publix allows overage on items which helps to keep my OOP down.

    • does anybody know where the mayfield ice cream is because i cant find them in the ss 9-13 so i searches the ad on the site and it doesnt say that it was even in that ad??

      • Kathy

I couldn’t find the Mayfield Q either. I am hoping someone will find it for us!!! I love Mayfield. I may have to go to ebay and find some.

      • Kathy

Okay-just went to ebay and bought a lot of (20) $2/Mayfield Icecream qs for $2.50 plus $.99 shipping. There were several “Buy It Now” opportunities. I wish they were coming in time for me to share them with you Kiley. Delivery 3-6 days so I hope they come before the Publix sale ends. : )

        • Jenny

run in and see if you can get a raincheck if they don’t. They just need to be out of one flavor and you can get a raincheck for the whole brand .

          • Lauren

Thank you, Jenny! I’ve often thought, “How do they know if it is really OOS.” Most of the time they don’t even check. Never thought about a certain flavor being OOS. However, I am confused on their raincheck policy. The last time I got a raincheck, they put an expiration date on it. Isn’t that the very nature of rainchecks: They never expire? But I have gotten rainchecks since then that did not have expirations. Crazy, huh!

    • Courtney Carpenter

I don’t know how we’re supposed to find the Cheez-It coupons in the 10/4 RP when 10/4 hasn’t happened yet. I’ve seen this before on Southern Savers. Am I missing something?

      • Abigail

        Courtney
Jenny lists them so that people can decide to wait until the coupons come out on sunday to get the item and save the most money depending on what coupons they might have. When I see stuff like that, I go shopping ASAP with the coupons that I’ve got and then make a quick stop on monday after work with the coupons that came out on Sunday. Hope this helps.

      • Catherine

Plus, sometimes people (like me) get a paper in the driveway during the week that contains coupons from both the previous Sunday and the coming Sunday.

    • Jarrod

With the General Mills Cereal deal…

Couldn’t you stack (2) $.75 Kix (Manf) ($2.50), (2) $1.00 Orange Juice when you buy General Mills Cereal (Publix), (2) $.50 Tropicana OJ (Target), and 1 free bag or would the Target/Publix counter each other?

Trying to come up with a master “ATTACK” Plan, and to be honest I’m looking at over 80 coupons right now clipped….My heads spinning…

      Jarrod
P.s. Thanks for the Overall Battle Plan Jennie! I’ll win this skirmish!

      • Jenny M

Yes, my Publix would gladly allow all of that, I have the same scenario clipped out right now myself.

    • Kristi

What is the Kraft coupon for the salad dressing coming from? I never saw a September Sunset magazine

    • Rita

I plan on doing the Hamburger Helper and ground beef deal but to keep my expenses down and avoid problems at the register I will ask the meat department to repackage it into portions weighing just over a half pound. There is a sign up in one of my Publix that says they will gladly repackage meat for you so I plan to take them up on that.
Thanks for all the posting scenarios. I will have lots of free bags after this week.

      • Anne Marie

We just had a new Publix open in my town, Canton, GA. I went in today to see the new store and sample the goodies. They were handing out free shopping bags and had lots of samples and displays to win different things, deli trays and meat, etc. We talked about the hamburger helper deal and I asked her about the 93/7 ground beef going on sale because we have to watch my husband’s fat intake. You don’t see it on sale very often. She said that I could pick any meat and have them trim the fat and grind it for me. Then they can package it however I want. I never knew that!

    • Kimberly

I can’t get the Stouffer’s Printable to print. Any suggestions?

    • Aymie

      Jenny
Is the dinner kit bogo for old el paso? Because I only see the beans and torillas 4/$5

      • Aymie

        Nevermind duh moment!!!

    • Megan

Does anyone know if they ever re-load the $2 off Healthy Choice coupons, or are gone forever once you print 2?

      Thanks!!

      • Michelle

I printed my two several weeks ago, and it let me print two more this morning. I use my laptop, my daughters, and our household computer to print 6. :) At my publix today, the HC meals were 1.69 and they took the whole 2.00 coupon off. Sweet! Free plus overage.

        • Jenn

Consider yourself lucky, it won’t let me print more :(

    • Freedom

There is also a $0.50 coupon for Ragu (does say do not double-will have to take that chance!!)in the Kmart book tat came out a while back. It says kmart but is a manufcture coupon. Expires 10/3/09. If doubled would make the ragu $0.59.

      • Freedom

I was able to use these coupons this morning and they did allow them to double!! Big whahoo for me. Love coupons.

    • Megan

I am wondering who actually got the Mayfield Ice cream coupons in their paper? I have checked many of the regional variations for 9/13 and have yet to see the Mayfield ice cream coupons. If you got one of these coupons can you tell me what paper you found it in?

      Thanks!

      • Catherine

I didn’t get them in Kennesaw, GA from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution papers from that Sunday. I also didn’t see it listed in the coupon listing from any of the three SS inserts that week!

    • Jenn

I had a great trip at Publix last night and ended up with even bigger savings than I anticipated. I noticed that I was charged $2.19 for each of the 4 crescent rolls I purchased. I took my receipt and ad up to customer service and they gave me back almost $9 in cash! I had no idea that their store policy was to give you the items for free if they are mismarked. Love that!

      • LD

ours has done that for years but it has only been on the first one you get free the rest you pay the ‘real” price

    • allison

Does anyone have problems using the print coupons download? Every time I try to use it it says I have to be connected to the internet to print, but I am connected.

      • Kathy

Allison- Have you loaded “coupons.com” on to your computer? I had trouble before I loaded that.

    • ashley

I have a question about the colgate coupon from walgreens. Where do you find the $1.00 off or the $1.50/2 coupons. I looked in my weekly ad and in the monthly coupon book and cant find it anywhere. Does anyone else know?

      • Michelle

It is in the Walgreens Diabetes Magazine.

    • Michelle

I am so excited I just had to share. I bought 105 items including ground chuck, cookies, soups, scrubbing bubbles etc… and my OOP was $21.42!!! I had $122.00 in Coupons (this included RR’s from Walgreens, and a 10.00 store coupon from WinnDixie) and then the advertised savings were $99.94. So almost $245.00 of groceries at a mere 8.76% of retail. WOW…this was the best couponing experience EVER!!

      • Susan

        Good for You!

I had a good trip too, didn’t do as well as you, but I was doing my Happy Dance going out the door, LOL.

        • Michelle

He he…I am STILL doing a happy dance!!

          • katie

Where did you find the winndixie coupon?

          • katie

where did you get the 10 off Winndixie? I would love to get my hands on one:)

            • LindaB

You have to actually have one of their cards and shop there. I usually buy a meat or produce special. The catalina machine at the register will print you out a coupon for $10.00 off $50.00 for the next weeks purchase at Winn Dixie. (I don’t know how much longer this will last or if everyone will get this but I have for a couple of months)My wonderful Publix will accept these great money-saving coupons so I try to make at least one trip to Winn Dixie to pick up their “best” deal for my Publix shopping trip for the coming week.

      Hi
I have a question about the printable coupons. I was trying to print the Pillsbury ones and in the middle of the first page the printer jammed and the rest of the coupons disappeared were ready to print but when I fixed the printer they had “disappeared” from the print queue. So, is there any way to reprint them? The site says I have exceeded the print limit so I think I’ve missed the deal, right?
      I am cranky now!

      • lynn

sorry to say but yes … that has happened to me afew times it i wasnt happy

    • Ryann

Ok so I went to my Publix and did really well overall. But I was trying to use the Pace man q that had the FL emblem on it and they would not take it b/c there isn’t a FL around here. I tried to expain that it wasn’t a store coupon, but they were getting frustrated with me and called a manager. Finally the manager came over and agreed with me that it was a man q, but they still wouldn’t take it b/c he said FL would still get the $$ back on the coupon and not Publix. This was confusing to me, and I’m not so sure that is correct, but I let it go b/c I’m not arguing with a manager over a $1 coupon. Just wanted to know if anyone knows if this is true? I thought if it was a man q, whichever store submitted the q would get reimbursed, no matter what store logo was on it.

      • Susan

I used a MQ for Ragu and it said K-Mart on it. It scanned and doubled, the cashier looked at it, but said nothing. I do not think my Publix considers K-Mart a competitor. But it is a MQ so no problem.

      • LD

From my understanding of this is when it says redeem at {FL or any other store}Only that store will only be reimbursed . Any other store will not be. If it just has the store logo on it but does Not state redemm at that store only, then they Will get reimbursed . I wish I had my old emails as i used to eamil the customer services at the manuf’s for clarification on the coupon usage. Not just store headquaters .

      • It’s all in the wording. If it has a scannable barcode beginning with 9 or 5, and says “manufacturer coupon” at the top, and says “redeem at Publix” then they are suggesting you redeem it at Publix, but can be taken anywhere. If it says “ONLY to be redeemed at Publix” then it can only be used at Publix.
The FL printable for Ragu is a true mq and can be used anywhere- the store will be reimbursed.

    • kris

      Does publix do rain checks?

      • Susan

        Yes

    • Lisa

Why is it that some of the RP and SS listed (especially for 9/13) aren’t in my paper? Do you get different RP and SS than I do? For example, -$1.25/3 Ragu Sauces RP 9/13 and -$1/3 Helper Meals SS 9/13, 8/09 or “Better at Home” booklet aren’t in my 9/13 papers. I’m confused…

      • Jarrod

I buy the Athens Banner Herald, Atlanta J Cont Saturday, and AJC Sunday.

That week the ONLY paper that had the full run of Coupons was the Athens Banner Herald. (And thats strange because it’s USUALLY the worst.)

There was a total of 3 in the ABH, and only 1 in all the AJC’s

        Jarrod

    • LD

Well then I would make them do 6 diff package of ground beef up for me at the meat counter at a $1 each then lol.. that would be my solution and I have done it too but i ask for one pd usally at times tho I ask for 3/4lb etc each in a diff.pkg .

    • Larissa

Jenny, have you updated your list to include the new coupons that came out today?

    • Miranda

I just made $6.02 for buying Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner at Publix…here’s how: Cleaner BOGO at $3.49 (bought four) – (2)$2.00 peelie coupons on cleaner -(4) $1.00 coupons from the One Stop, One Store Publix booklet, plus the $5.00 SC Rebate. Can’t beat that for a deal!!

      • lynn

i thought the one stop one store coupon was also a manf.; coupon am i wrong or did i miss something?

        • Val

I believe mine also said it was a MC.

      • Miranda

The cashier took them though b/c they said only valid at Publix.

        • mandie

hmm I hope no one else try’s this, it is not good couponing ethics IMO

      • Michelle

Also wondering how you got four coupons….I can never find those coupon booklets. When I ask for them, they give out ONE. I think people were going through our store and grabbing handfuls and so they don’t put them out anymore, sadly.

    • angie

I can’t find the Stouffer’s coupon from the link, help!

    • tonya

I believe there is a target $1/2 pepperidge farm cookies coupon.

    • meg

I can’t seem to find the Juicy Juice cpn in the All You June mag…anyone finding this? Please let me know, thanks.

      • Sarah R.

For the past few months my All You’s have not held all the coupons that they say they have. Either they say they have it and they don’t, or another website says they have it, and the also do not. Grrr! The whole reason for that subscription is the coupons! BTW, when the coupon list in the mag. sites a coupon that isn’t there it is ALWAYS near where the calendar is printed (around p. 80). Lame! I’ve been too lazy to contact them about it but one of these days…

    • Great trip to Publix in Ooltewah, TN yesterday. They were out of an item, thinking I would have to get a rain check, but NO! I was asked “May I Help You?” Then the shelf was stock!!! When I checked out more GREAT service. I saved $77.34 and spent $59.60.

Jenny in the past I would have spent this total for a week. Now, in the $60 that I spent there a bag that will go to the food bank!! THANK YOU

    • Does anyone know where I can get the Mayfield coups. The site says there in the 9/13 SS, but I checked both and there not in mine! :O(

      • Jenny

They were released only in certain regions. They are on ebay though if you really want them.

    • Tammy C.

The Publix in Taylors on Wade Hampton had peelies on the Old El Paso dinners…buy 2, get an El Paso Seasoning Mix free. Two El Paso Dinners…one free bag…two free seasoning mixes…one free bag…makes for a lot of free stuff!!! And no…I didn’t steal any peelies 8-)

    • Carolyn E

Any ideas on how to get a coupon that says “limit reached” even though this is the first time I’ve even seen it. I’m talking about the Smithfield Bacon coupon. I Googled smithfield bacon coupon and every single site will not let you access the coupon.

      • Jenny

Sorry, once the master limit is reached it is just gone :( I post it so that those who did print it know to use it but there is no way to get more. I wish there were I could never get that one to work for me.

    • HSV mom

I was wondering if anyone else has had trouble with coupons you print being black and white. Went to a Publix last night where the cashier said they really don’t like to take them unless they are in color. Had trouble with one scanning, but the manager was very sweet and said since I had a second identical one that did scan that they would take it, but had it been the only one and had not scanned, that they would not be able too.

      • Alison

Yes, my cashier today questioned my coupons for a free Publix bag wyb 2 Gen. Mills items. I had one color coupon that was from the actual flyer and one black and white that I had printed from the clickcallmail.com website. She tried to say I photocopied it which isn’t allowed and that I should print them in color. It ended up not mattering anyhow since they were only allowing one free bag per customer.

        • HSV mom

I think it ridiculous that they want them printed in color. It makes printing them very expensive and wasteful of ink. I have noticed on several printable coupons that it says it can be printed in either color or black and white. Anyway, if I were going to copy one (and I never would), first I would do it in color because my printer will do that and secondly, there is a security code on all printable coupons which changes with each print out. I have pointed this out to the managers at my Publix to help them train their cashiers on how to detect copied coupons.

    • Dena

Does anyone know if the Publix on Central Ave in SC takes Target coupons?

      • Yes, they do!

      • Jenny M

Yes, that store is amazing. They take any other’s store coupon (e.g. Target, Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Food Lion, Harvey’s). And they are just so friendly there. Enjoy

    • Denise

We will be in Orange Beach, AL next week. Can anyone tell me how coupon friendly Publix is there? Thanks for any info.

    • Dena

Can you stack (3)Target coupons ($1/2) with the General Mills Cereal coupons, if you buy 6 boxes?

      • Yes! If your store considers target a competitor you can do that all day long!

      • HSV mom

You should be able to stack them with manufactures coupons, but it will depend on the store and cashier.

    • Candace

I am new at this, and I am planning on doing my shopping on Sunday so I can get the penny item. Are the sale items usually still in stock? I live in the Lexington, SC area.

      Thanks!

      • It’s hit or miss. I find that a lot of times the really good (free or overage) items are gone but customer service will gladly give you a rain check.

      • Ashley

I always shop on Sunday nights in Lexington. You probably will see me with my big ol’ binder :) Anways, when I find they are out of something, I always ask the stock boys or men. Sometimes I even ask two different guys. I have had many times where one boy didn’t know but another did. There are two older men that stock, and they are the best. Many times they will bring me the box from storage because I usually buy around 6 if it’s a good deal :) I think they are starting to know me!

If all else fails, I get rainchecks. I really have only had to get around 1-3 rainchecks per week usually and sometimes 0.

        HTH!

    • CouponNERD

      ***DEAL ALERT****
Pepsi 2 ltrs are on sale for $1.Dr Pepper is a Pepsi product…
      There’s a FLIP for $1 off 2 Dr. Pepper 2ltrs
Then, in the Yellow Advantage Buy, there’s $2 off 3 Dr. Pepper 2 ltrs.
I’m gonna get 6 Dr. Pepper 2 ltrs and get paid $1! :)

      • Jennifer

Each area is different. Dr Pepper is Pepsi in some areas & Coke in others.

      • jj

I don’t use the FLIP but 3 two liters of Dr. Pepper for a dollar is a great deal! I’m getting six, they keep forever.

        • CouponNERD

Yup! It worked! I used the FLIPS and the yellow advantage buy coupons together. Publix paid me $1 to take home six 2 ltrs of Dr. P!
Gonna do it again tomorrow/Monday and get the penny item.

      • Michelle

If a FLIP is a Food Lion coupon, then my store would not accept. They consider a FL coupon and a Publix coupon the same thing and will not stack. You can stack a manufacturer with either a store or competitor, but not both.

        • I couldn’t use both (in Goose Creek), but I did use the Publix $1/3. It was still an awesome deal.

    • Giny

Thank you, Jenny for all your work. I am new to couponing and I do not understand how the green giant vegetables are free at Publix. They are listed as $1 for one and there are $0.50 coupons for 1. Maybe they are B1G1 at certain stores?

      • Patricia

Publix doubles coupons up to 50 cents. Your 50/1 is actually worth $1 so it makes veggies costing $1 free :)

        • Rose

I went shopping Friday night and for the first time I had my Green Giant coupons “surpressed”. I didn’t complain because the coupons have “Do Not Double” on them, but I was surprised. I have been shopping my once preferred Publix for months and never had that happen. My coupon buddy went shopping four hours before me, and her coupons were doubled. For some strange reason my feelings were hurt… I guess saving every little bit has become really important to me.

Also, the shift leader that rang me up was the same person that was being difficult with me last week and the store manager had to correct the issue. When I got home my sweet guy swore that the guy was being spiteful, and that I should talk with the store manager, but I chose to believe that maybe the policy changed.

I appreciate everyone that is in a service profession as I realize dealing with a wide range of people can be challenging, but I still feel that a lot of issues could be resolved if there was some consistency in store policy from week to week.

I’m a very considerate and laid back person and I never want anyone to get in trouble for anything that I do, but I also don’t want to feel bad about shopping with coupons, and helping to keep my family afloat. Shopping is really not the “pleasure” it once was.

          • I will wait in a longer line JUST to use “my” cashier, or at least one I know to be friendly. There are a few that I know tend to be difficult, and they’ll only ring my order up ONCE. After that, I won’t go back to them. It’s not worth it to be questioned about every single coupon.

    • Amy

      Denise,

The Publix in Orange Beach, Al are not coupon friendly. My sister lives in Gulf Shores and drives to Fairhope, AL to shop. She has had several bad experiences at that one!!

    • Louis

      Hey,

Does anyone have a copy of the official publix coupon policy? Maybe one with the publix logo on it?

      Thanks

      Louis

      • There is no OFFICIAL Publix polocy. Each store manager makes decisions as to what their store will accept.

The only policy all stores abide by is accepting “competitor coupons” (competitors are decided by store manager for that store), and allowing the stacking of one store q and one manu q.

    • valerie

FYI for everyone…in last sunday’s paper there was a $5/25 coupon in the family dollar ad. i checked my local publix (thomasville, ga) and they said they would honor it. might be worth your while to check if you still have sunday’s paper laying around…or keep your eyes open in the future. there were also a few other coupons for things like glad trash bags, motor oil, and clorox 2.
      hope this helps :)

    • amys

I just got back from Publix and tried to use the RiteAid Craisins $1 off coupon…the cashier politely told me that I could use CVS coupons at Publix (since it’s across the street), but I’d have to go to the other Publix (4 miles away) to use my RiteAid coupon, since RiteAid is across the street from that store. I just smiled and chuckled a bit…really?!?!

Tear pad in FL Publix with deal

Nabisco Saltine crackers $1 off tear-pad good when you buy 1 can of soup or chili expiration 2/28/10
Crackers were 1.89 [sale] so combined it with the progresso and Pillsbury bread deal and the bags . Got a lot out of those 2 cans of soups lol..
I got 4 extra hoping they will be good when tomato or some other soup is on sale and the crackers go on sale again

    • Amy TR

      There’s a new coupon on today’s Campbell’s Meal Mail for $1 off 2 cooking soups. W/the 10 for $10 makes it .50 each. I was able to print 2. Register at campbellskitchen.com

    • Dianna

When I went to the Publix in Hilton Head today, they did not have the crescent rolls on sale for $1. When I looked online in the ad, it was only Pillsbury cinnamon rolls. What am I missing?

      • CouponNERD

Same thing in Columbia – only the biscuits and cinnamon rolls were $1, the small cans. I did get some crescent rolls for $1.35 since I had the store coupon for $1 off bread when you buy soup, and the free bag q, and a $1 off when you buy 2 crescent rolls….

      • Erica

I had the same issue, and I checked two different Publix. I don’t know where the $1 crescent rolls ad came from.

        • Goose Creek Publix had the sale and B1G1 signs off of several items today (biscuits, crescents, and Scrubbing Bubbles are a few), but they still rung up the sale price. I had my flyer handy in case they didn’t ring up correctly, but they did.

        • Christina

I’m in the ATL area. I’ve visited three different Publix locations and all three had crescents, cinnamon rolls and biscuits for $1.

      • Aymie

Are you sure it is just not listed?? It is for the smaller cans, and you have to look really closely on the shelves… I dont know if it varies by state (I am in FL) but I would grab one and see what it rings up at the register… Its worth a shot… Ps- We visited Hilton Head and we thought it was GORGEOUS!

    • Tina M

I found Hamburger Helper boxes at the Hixson, TN Publix with $1.00 off hamburger MQ and was able to use them with the Publix $1.00 off hamburger Qs to get 3 1.21 lb pkgs. of ground chuck for a total of $1.23, plus used the .75 Q off HH and got a free shopping bag! The HH was in a special display set up near the end of the isle.

    • HSV mom

Found a blinkie with $3.00 off 2 Johnson & Johnson bandaid products. Used 2 coupons and bought 2-10 count large size gauze pads ($1.99 each) and 2-10 count nonstick gauze pads ($1.00 each) and only paid $2.00! These come in very handy with 3 sons.

      • HSV mom

Oops, the nonstick guaze pads are $1.99 each NOT $1.00 each. My typo!

    • Dina

At walgreens there is a coupon book(white walgreens abc book-found near the pharmacy) with manufacture coupons and sudafed pe is one of them. Today I used that coupon along with the store sudafed coupon found in the green advantage. In FL, the price was $3.99-$4 coupons….(.01 overage).

      • HSV mom

Thank you for that! I will definitely check this out!

    • Barbara

I cant find the Mayfield Ice cream coupons. Anyone else having this problem..I looked in the ss 9/13..I am located South Ga. Is there any printables online??

      • Christina

I’m in Atlanta and didn’t have the Mayfield coupons either. I did order them on ebay on Wednesday, and received them on Saturday. :)

    • The Man

Watch out for those healthy choice coupons, if you are in FL you CANNOT pay 1.69 and use a $2 coupon. You just *might* be able to if you ask the manager really nicely. But don’t be a nasty coupon bully and coerce them into taking it. Your repuatation with the store is much more important, otherwise the staff will always look at your order/coupons with extreme scrutiny! This happened today with a younger woman, shame on her!!!

      • What is the “reason” you cannot use a perfectly valid coupon on the item it was intended to be used on? The store will be reimbursed $2 for the coupon from the manufacturer.

      • Aymie

What part of FL do you live in?? Where I am from in Central FL they encourage me to use my coupons, regardless of if I get overage or not.
The store gets reimbursed the full amount, so I dont see how that is being a nasty coupon bully.

        • Tausha

Where in central FL are you?? I’m there too…Tarpon and Chelsea Place Publix are my favs…

    • margie

If you are in Atlanta, Kroger Ad this week has Buy 10 Get $5 off on the Green Giant Steamer Veg and Healthy Choice – if my math is correct you get 10 items for $.13 each.
Let me see if I can do this like Jenny
      Buy:
      (5) healthy choice steamers = $2.27ea before sale = $11.35
      (5) Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers = $1.99 ea before sale = $9.95
      Total: $21.30
      Get $5.00 off
Use: (5) $2.00 Healthy Choice printable coupons (-$10)
Use: (5) .50/1 Green Giant frozen veg printable coupons (doubles at register) (-$5)

Total $1.30 (not including sales tax of course)

Jenny, help me on this one, did I do that correctly. I’m sure I didn’t explain it as well as you.

    • Brook

I did so well at Publix this week!! I’m still a newbie so my totals this week made me so proud! I got loads of things, including 13 packs of meat. I paid OOP $36.27 for a value of $146.76. I even got 6 free Publix reusable shopping bags and 4 loaves of the 1 cent Publix bread. Go me!! My Hubby was so proud too!!

      • Angel in Charleston

How did you get four of the penny items? I tried to get two last week, doing two separate transactions, but the cashier wouldn’t let me. I had two of the penny coupons!

    • I went to the Publix on Hwy 6 in Irmo today and they would not let me use a Target coupon for the General Mills cereal. They said Target was not considered a competitor. Does anyone know if that is correct? Thanks so much.

      • Christina

Most Publix stores agree that Target is NOT a competitor, so your store probably is correct.

      • Hi Kelley – That is my favorite store to shop at! They are very coupon friendly. They take Food Lion, Kroger and Bi-Lo as competitors (traditional grocery stores). Most stores don’t accept Target as a competitor anymore, but Jenny still posts them for the few stores that will take them.

    • Gina

I am a newbie and have a few questions? Can anyone give me a zip code for the Cheese-it coupon? I can’t find one that works. Also, I didn’t get the Cheese-it coupon in my RP today. Does anyone know if that it was a regional coupon?

    • Aymie

I dont know if anyone said this, and Im sorry if its repeated but there were peelies on some of the Old El Paso boxes for a free packet of taco seasoning when you buy (2) Old El Paso products!
Im glad too because its just me and my boyfriend at home and we never finish all of the tortillas or taco shells in the box!

    • Meredith

Got charged 2.09 for all the Crescent Rolls I bought tonight!! Are they supposed to be on sale? The display made it look like they were on sale. It said, Dinner Rolls 10 for 10. Aren’t crescent rolls considered dinner rolls?

      • Steph

It is just the small 4ct can on sale at most stores, same size in the biscuits and cinnamon rolls.

      • Paricia

Did you buy the small cans? The 4 count? They were the ones on sale :)

      • Jenny M

The great thing about shopping at Publix, is if they charged you the wrong price, they will refund the entire purchase price AND you get to keep the item. If I were you I would take it to the customer service desk with the ad and see what’s up. My Publix is wonderful about this. I hope yours is too.

    • Racheal

Clorox wipes are a bargain. On sale 3 for 4. .50 coupon and there are .75 instant coupons on many of them making them .25. I stocked up today!

    • Racheal

I meant 2 for 4 on the clorox wipes, not 3 for 4. Sorry!

      • Hi Racheal, are the 75¢ and 50¢ coupons both manufacturer? If so, you have to choose one of these to use. Now if one is a Publix coupon (LU#) then you can use both and that IS a great deal! $1 after the 50¢ coupon doubling is not bad either. Where is the 50¢ coupon from?

    • DeeDee

I’m a newbie to this site and have been couponing for real since early summer, although I have used Q’s here & there always. This website is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!! LOVE IT!!! Telling everyone about it! (BTW, I’m in southern FL)

      • DeeDee

        Oh yeah, today I saved 73%. I spent $13 and saved $35.

    • Lisa

Confused… RP 10/04.. i never saw Cheese-its.. different region im guessing!??!?

      • marie

I had the same problem. I waited until Sunday to go to Publix so I could get that Q and I didn’t get it either.

    • Amanda

Does anyone else have problems with coupons being “skipped” by the cashier? Every week when I get to looking at my receipt I notice that not all my coupons were taken off. Yesterday – I had two $2 off coupons and only one was scanned. Any ideas on how to avoid? I am sure people are annoyed behind me b/c I have 25-35 coupons and the cashier is trying to rush to get to the next customer.

      • I usually count my coupons and then count them at the end of my receipt. If they don’t match, I go to customer service while I’m still in the store. They are really good about it and will usually give you what’s missing back in cash, plus they can check the drawer for the coupons if need be. Also, sometimes I don’t worry about a dollar here or there because I know how much I’ve saved! Also, I usually hand the coupons at the end and then watch the cashier as they are rung up to catch it if they accidentally skip one.

    • marie

      Get Dr. pepper 2LT, 3 for $1!!!
They’re on sale for $1 until Wed. use the $2 off 3 Q from the yellow advantage buy paper and get them 3 for $1. I did this yesterday and got a bunch. I had them price check all 3 flavors and they’re all included. Diet, cherry and regular.

      • Dina

If your Publix accepts Food Lion coupons, that is another $1 off of 2.

      • DC

Our Dr. Pepper was 3/$4. :(

    • sherri

I just caught something at my local Publix. i went in to purchase the Glade candles with $3.00 off coupons. My total should have been $1.20 for six, after using the coupons, instead my total was $2.48. I looked at my receipt and noticed that I had been charged $1.28 in taxes. (the taxes added up tp be more than the items cost). The manager was called and he tried explaining to me that the taxes are added at the top, before the coupons are taken off. I told him I believe his store is the only one that does it this way. This is a fairly new store and I have had a lot of problems with them when trying to use coupons. This is the most consumer unfriendly store I’ve ever used. He just called and said he is trying to get a hold of our county tax office for clarfication. Anyone heard of this before? This store makes using coupons cost prohibitive.

      • Christina

In my experience, most stores do add sales tax before taking off the coupons. So a coupon for $1 will take off only $1 (after tax), not $1.06 (or $1 + % sales tax). So that sounds about right.

Just curious, why would the sales tax make coupon use, cost-prohibitive? Unless the coupon is worth less than the sales tax, you’re still better off using the coupon than not using it.

I don’t think I’m explaining myself clearly. I went to Kroger and the tax is taken off at the bottom (after all coupons are applied). I realize I owe the tax. On a free item that would equal 7 cents per item. The same deal at Kroger cost $1.26 instead of $2.48.

If you’re being charged $1.28 in taxes at 7%, then you’re pre-coupon total should have been approximately $18.30. I do know that some stores deduct the tax on coupons and others don’t. In my shopping, most of my stores do not deduct that tax. Which way is “right” would depend on the county and the store. If Publix reports their sales as pre-coupon amounts, then yes, they need to charge you the sales tax on your coupon dollars, because they’ll have to pay it to the county. If they report their sales as the post-coupon amount, then they should deduct the tax from the coupon dollars. I don’t know if the tax office sets those guidelines or if the individual stores have the responsibility of making that decision, but I would guess that the store manager is right to check with the county.

Here in Birmingham at all of the stores I shop at, the tax always come from the cost of the items before coupons. And we’re at 10% tax.

Hey! I have fell in love with getting free stuff from Walgreens and CVS, but I am new to Publix. I always thought that Publix was more on the expensive side to other grocerie stores but I have seen many get AWESOME deals. So I thought I would ask the experts. How do yall do it?? Also does anyone know the coupon policy for the Publix in Spartanburg?? Thanks so much. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I finally had a cashier (glasses & reddish hair in a ponytail) at my favorite Publix (Five Forks & Killian Hill in Lilburn, GA) tell me that they were no longer taking Target Qs. :-( She said they don’t consider Target a competitor. We actually have a Super Target about 5 miles from this very Publix. She said they were “cracking down on coupons because Publix already offers so many good sales and coupons of their own.” She did let me go ahead and use my Target Q (General Mills cereal) today. She didn’t want me to use the $1 off OJ with that one, for some reason? I politely told that was for the OJ, not the cereal, so the two Q shouldn’t be an issue. I don’t think she really understood what I was saying, but she wanted to be finished with my transaction. Most of the cashiers are so nice in this store. I’ll just be more careful in which line I choose.

Jenny, thanks for the tip that the Mayfield coupons were available on ebay. I ordered mine Wednesday, received them Saturday and shopped on Saturday and Sunday (didn’t want to buy so many at once, so I bought six on Saturday and six on Sunday).

Also, I noticed my stores had pink breast cancer awareness reusable bags, same price as the regular Publix reusable bags and the Halloween reusable bags. 10% of the purchase price goes to the breast cancer foundation. I used my free bag coupons to buy two of them.

Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but if you buy Scott tissue/paper towels, you can go to the web page for coupon rebate information. The link is http://www.scottcommonsense.com/coupon/ Just copy and paste the web address into your address bar and it will give you details. Keep in mind that Riteaid also had Scott products on sale.

My Publix doesn’t carry the 2.5oz packs, but did have the 5oz packs 2/3.00. Still a good deal at .50 per pack. Thanks for the info on the coupon!

    • LJMiller

Okay, something makes me think that Publix will only do 10 IPs per visit. I’m running out of time due to weekend conflicts. Anyone else experience this?

My husband just called from the Publix in Madison and told me they were out of Crescent rolls so I told him to ask if they had any in the back and the manager said a lady came in this morning and bought 60 of them with internet coupons! That is both selfish and ridiculous. It is people like this that are going to ruin it for the rest of us.

      • Morgan

You are EXACTLY right. I was in the Publix in Anderson, SC to buy some frozen veggies and the freezer cases were cleared out. When I asked an associate if they had any more, he said no, because a guy had come in earlier that morning and bought 2 CARTS FULL! I was pretty unhappy, especially because I was only going to buy four…

        • I saw an older gentleman with TONS of the Nestle cookie dough today at the Gervais place store. He wiped out the free Tuna packs while I was there too :(. Thank goodness for rainchecks.

    • Alena

Had a really good trip to Publix today, but Pillsbury Sweet Rolls were not $1 eache they were 2.09, oh well, still a good deal with store and manuf. coupons

Saved $32, and spent only $9 =) gotta Love Publix!

    • Lisa

Not sure if anyone has caught this …but there is a Chex Mix Target coupon that when combined with mfg cpn is a money maker this week at Publix.

Also, found $1 off Ground Beef mfg cpn on the Hamburger Helper boxes that when combined with the $1 off Ground Beef w/ purchase of Hamburger Hlpr Publix store cpn makes a 1lb package of Publix Ground Beef FREE.

Where are you located. I’ve looked for the peelie’s at 3 different stores in the Upstate of SC and haven’t found them. That would make for an awesome deal.

        • Lisa

The Publix was located in Dacula, GA. I looked for the peelies in 2 other Publix stores and could not find them.

    • Natasha

Do the Cinnamon rolls and Sweet rolls count as Bread for the $1 off Pillsbury Bread or Biscuits WYB Progresso?

      • HSV mom

Yes they do, but good luck finding them. People have cleaned all our stores out.

        • Natasha

They actually did have some yesterday when I was at my normal publix. I’ll have to go back today if they haven’t been cleaned out yet to get a couple.

    • Emily

Our Publix will not take other store’s coupons. :( I tried to use some of the deals listed here last week with the Target coupons and they would not except them.

      • Cristinia

It’s up to each store to set the rules for which competitor’s to accept. You can call the manager and ask which one’s are allowed and which ones aren’t- that’s what I did and mine accepts Winn Dixie, Food Lion, Save-a-lot, Sweetbay, etc, but not Target or Drug Store Q’s.

Waiting for the new ad is harder than waiting for Christmas morning when I was 5!

      • Jenny

My husband told me to tell you “Santa Claus doesn’t come until you go to sleep” :) You have it now though sorry I went out for a little break tonight.
