Earlier than usual for me, here are your Publix deals that start tomorrow. It is a great week at Publix, I’m glad after a slow ad week I’m ready for some good deals! If you see any deals in the store please share. I am hoping to get to Publix in the morning to start adding unadvertised deals to this list like I do for the Kroger list, so tune back in.

***If you are new to couponing read the getting started guide first***

Target printables are added for the various areas that are taking them.  Please ask your store before printing many stores do not take these.

Remember:
1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price
2. If you do buy 2 items that are B1G1 make sure you use 2 coupons to get the best deal
3. Publix accepts competitors coupons (you can stack with a manufacturers coupon and a Publix coupon too)
4. You can use a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon on the same item
5. Most Publix locations double manufacturer coupons that are.50¢ or less

** #1 and #5 do not apply in FL and coastal GA**

    • AWS

On the Huggies Diapers you say use a store & competitor & manu; I thought a store and competitor were the same to Publix and you could use one or the other not both. Is that wrong?

      • Jenny

        AWS,

It is up to your store, but many stores will accept all three since they do get reimbursed for the store and manufacturer coupon.

    • Shannon Hawthorne

      Hi Jenny,

Just wanted to let you and your readers know that publix (atleast mine) doesn’t accept harveys coupons anymore. I was quite upset as several of the “deals” were specifically because I had those coupons. If I am mis-informed, please let me know, otherwise I just wanted to spread the sad news.

Thanks for all your hard work.

      • Jenny

        Shannon,

Each store is allowed to decide who they deem as a competitor. Some will take it if any store in the district takes it others require that the store be within x amount of miles.

    • pam

I can’t get the lactaid coupon to even show up, is there a certain zip code i need to enter?

    • Wendy

Thanks for posting Publix early, Jenny! I’ve been clipping and organizing coupons tonight for Publix since Wednesday is my only day to shop without kids. Can’t wait for all the good deals–esp. Toaster Strudels, almonds, and Chex mix (11 of them!).

I’m so addicted to your site. Thank you for posting so often and so thoroughly–you’ve taken couponing to a whole new level for me. Esp. with all the printable links for coupons. I haven’t bought a paper in a month and still have saved a bundle, and I keep telling everyone about your site–even my family who’s not in the South can take advantage of the site. Thanks!

    • i received a nestle calendar that has a coupon for stouffer’s french bread pizzas. $1off/2

    • Mandy

Bettycrocker.com has a set of green giant as well as total, chex mix, etc coupons. Over $30 worth. Click on coupon link at top. These can be printed in addition to smartsource and coupons.com.

      • Jenny

I tried to add the Betty Crocker links on everything above also it is part of the long strings of print here or here or here…

    • SCYankee

      Smartsource’s website has a .75/1 cheerios coupon.

    • Misty

In regards to the print coupon sites (coupons.com, Betty Crocker P&G etc), I notice that some of the same coupons appear on multiple sites. Are we allowed 2 per site or are these sites somehow linked together? Also, at what point can we reprint? For example, Hamburger Helper seems to stay on the site…is there a point when we can print another 2 or is it a one shot deal? Thanks everyone…I love this site!

    • Janet D

Anyone tried the Newmans own pasta sauce? I usually make homemade but for .34 I am thinking to try it.

    • Awesome list Jenny. Thanks for sharing so early. I was actually waiting up late tonight “hoping” to see it! You’ve really helped our family here!

    • Jenny

      Misty,

The sites for General Mills – BC, Pillsbury, Eat Better Am. etc. are all linked together so if the same offer is on those sites you only get 2. But you can also get 2 from coupons.com and smartsource.com too.

    • Susan

The Green Giant Coupons say, do not double or tripple. I know my Bilo will not double these, hopefully Publix will?

    • Debbie

      *** Chex Mix ***

Just FYI in case anyone is interested, Chex Mix is $.99 or $1.00 on sale at Walgreens this week, so with the $.50 coupons it is about $.50 per bag there right now. Only $.16 difference per bag, but that can add up if you are buying multiples (I bought 10 :) )

Jenny, I can never say THANK YOU enough times for all you do!

    • Mina

I’m looking forward to a few things this week, mainly bagels, cream cheese, brownies, and some other yummies. If I had q’s for TGI Friday’s, I’d be excited because I want to try them. They LOOK delish!

I’m going to miss the Publix deals that just ended. It was a fantastic for piggyback deals! This past week was one of the most exciting shopping weeks I’ve had all year. Each of us was able to get our favorite, high quality produce for free, and beautiful cuts of meat for close to it. Great deals on the goodies that we would pass by if it weren’t for the super deals are cool, and I enjoy them, but the opportunity to serve my family quality meat and produce for less than the cost of purchasing heavily processed food was so much more satisfying. Thank you Publix and the manufacturers that sponsored the matching q’s for this past week!

Now it’s time for bagels, cream cheese, trail mix, brownies. . . (Maybe someone will have a good sale on pickled herring sometime soon.)

    • joanne

I am very disappointed with publix because every time I go to get the sale item they are out they are not stocking the sale items like they should kroger .

    • I agree with you, Joanne. They run out very quickly, but, they will give you a raincheck. That is what I usually do.

    • I don’t know if this will interest anyone, but I’m thinking about saving my Green Giant and Old El Paso coupons for Bilo. I got the following yesterday when I was at Bilo. It printed on the Catalina machine.

From 9/11-10/4 Buy any Green Giant Frozen Boxed Vegetable
      Buy 3 get a 1.00 coupon
      Buy 4 get a 2.00 coupon
Buy 5 or more get a 3.00 coupon off your next order
All items must be in the same order.

From 9/11-10/4 Buy any old el paso shells, dinner kits, seasonings, refried beans, or heat and serve side dishes
Buy 3-Save 1.00 on your next beef or chicken purchase
Buy 6-Save 3.00 on your next beef or chicken purchase

Just thought I’d give everyone a heads up about that in case it goes on sale at Bilo. I’d rather get it there! :)

    • Michelle

AWS….Publix in Athens, AL has told me that FL coupon and store coupon are the same thing. But I believe it is up to the individual store.

    • RE:Shannon Hawthorne

My Publix doesn’t accept Harveys coupons also and im in Lebanon TN b/c There is not a Harveys in Tn that I know of they will no longer take them. I also was upset :(

    • Jodi

Newman’s Own Pasta Sauce is very good. Going to be stocking up on this myself.

    • Allison

Any $5 off Rite Aid Coupons out there to use?

    • Katie

I have tried to print the manuf. $1/1 General mills coupon and it says that I already have- even though I haven’t- anyone have any ideas on getting the coupon? Thanks

    • Kristan

I am in Huntsville, AL and I have a stack of RP from 08/23 and NONE of them have the Newman’s Own pasta sauce coupon!! Anyone else missing it? Kinda bummed me out…. after you start saving a bundle the .50 between .34 and .84 seems huge!!

But I am thrilled I have a a bunch of bagel coupons!!!

Thanks Jenny for all your tedious work putting the list together!!

    • Mary

      Kristan,
I’m also from Huntsville & new to the coupons. My Publix has been great so far but I have not tried using a Target coupon yet. Have you had any experience with this?
Thanks to Jenny for her tireless work & to everyone’s comments. Great to learn from all of you!

    • Betsy

      Kristan,
I am in Decatur, AL, and we didn’t get the Newman’s either. I ordered some online. I was on another website that was talking about how our RP never has half the stuff that other areas do. Very dissappointing!

    • Anne Marie

I don’t see the bounty coupons in my PG. I used the .25/1 last week at Kroger, but I don’t have $1/2 is this a regional thing?

    • Shanna

FYI: Chex Mix is B1G1 at Bilo for $.25 each with coupons this week!

    • Lynn

I was at the Publix in Homewood (Birmingham, AL) yesterday and they had TGIFriday $2 off and Toaster Strudel coupons on the freezer doors in the smartsource electronic dispensers.

    • Kristy

My coupon for the TGIF frozen snacks is for $2/1!!! Its the FL version!

    • Kristan

      Besty,

Glad to know I am not just overlooking it! By the way THANK you to you and EMILY for getting me started! I took the class ya’ll did in June and I am totally addicted!!

      Kristan

2 boxes Stouffers French Bread Pizza 1.50/1.49 each – 1.00 mc IP = 1.00 each
2 Revlon Emory boards – 2.00 Publix LU = FREE and 0.11 overage on each
      1 Kraft Cream Cheese 1.00 – 1.00 mc = FREE

4 boxes Green Giant Vegs 1.00 each – 0.50 mcIP (did double) = ALL FREE
      4 Pillsbury Toaster Strudel 1.15/1.14 each – 1.00 mc IP = 0.15/0.14 each

    • Wende

I had 4 Nestle coupons $1.00/1 IP but I can’t remember where I printed them from and wanted to pass the link along. – Anyone else remember where this link was?

    • Heather

Can anybody help me find the Purina coupon. I went to the website but can only find a cat litter coupon (which I tried before and my cats HATED!!)….If anybody has any luck with it please let me know!!

    • Allison

In regards to Publix taking competitors coupons, my store in Nashville (Nippers Corner-love them!) took the $5/$50 K-Mart coupon that was in the K-Mart circular from the Sunday paper. There was one the week before, too. The coupon is only good for a week and states good for any consumables, health, beauty, etc. This is a YMMV, but was great when I went on Sunday with all the meat on sale at Publix!

    • Teresa

Lexington SC wouldn’t double the Green Giant frozen veg coupons for me. Bummer.

    • Michelle

      Hi All,
I’m new to extreme couponing and I have 2 questions about #2 & #3 above for Publix. (I listed my question first and then what’s stated above.)

For B1G1 items do I use 2 manufacturer’s coupons when it says “make sure to use 2 coupons to get the best deal”?

      (2. If you do buy 2 items that are B1G1 make sure you use 2 coupons to get the best deal)

For #3, does it mean I can stack with a Kroger coupon (competitor)and then with the manufacturer and Publix coupon?

      (3. Publix accepts competitors coupons (you can stack with a manufacturers coupon and a Publix coupon too)

      Help! I’m confused!

    • Tracie

      #18 & #19:

The CS Manager at my Publix said that they are issuing more rainchecks than ever before due to the sale items being sold out.

    • Brooke

I have to say after my second very unfavorable experience at the PUBLIX AT THORNBLADE on The Parkway, Greer, SC… that I have to recommend that people don’t shop there. I have been shopping there for a couple of years and using coupons there for about 8 months, but I will not go back there again. While I respect their decision not to take Rite Aid, Food Lion, or Target coupons, I am appalled at the rudeness and skepticism of some of the cashiers and managers about printable coupons. I don’t even have space here or time to tell all the very rude things the 70 something year old female cashier said to me- wow! I was actually accused of copying a manufacturers coupon. The cashier refused my coupon and I asked why because it was a manufacturer and she asked the manger who came to me with the first words out of her mouth: “Well, FIRST of all, this coupon has been copied.” Wow. Quite the customer service. I pleaded my innocence and told her the name of the website and said that I could show it to her on the internet on the spot. I WOULD NOT and DO NOT copy coupons. I go out of my way to be very careful and ethical about coupon use. She never ended up believing me and after saying I could use it, said she would check on her computer when she got home to see if I was telling the truth. This whole part took about 20 minutes. Then she proceeded to rudely question EVERY printable coupon (each of which turned out to be completely above board and legitimate) and dramatically count my items and make sure everything matched. The cashier and manager were equally rude and took a LONG time. I’m happy for them to check expiration dates, match everything up and do their jobs well and I’m thrilled for them to be reimbursed by the manufacturer, but their attitudes and rudeness were humiliating. I let them know that I will be writing to the whole management staff, including this posting, and that I will choose the other Publix that is near me from now on, as well as encouraging friends, family and fellow couponers to stay away from their store. I just really don’t have the time or energy to stand in a line defending my ethics for thirty minutes when I’m leaving five kids at home with daddy who is so gracious to let me go to the store alone. All of my coupons (including the one that started their hostile inquiries) scanned neatly into their scanner, nothing had to be punched in by hand. I look forward to having better experiences at the Publix on Wade Hampton in Taylors and taking the hundreds of dollars I spend to their store. Also, I have only had wonderful experiences at the two Bi-Lo stores I shop at on Pelham and Hudson Corners and will continue giving them business.

The Newmans sauce is good but just a little runny for me. I add a little bit of tomato paste to the sauce to thicken it. I also add italian sausage or meatballs.

    • Joy

      Kristy,

I’m in FL too but unfortunately the $2/1 coupon is only for the Value Size packs, so doesn’t work for this deal. We have to just use the $2/2 Toss for Cash coupon, but there are also $1 peelies out there, so if you can find those, it would make FREE plus overage! I can’t wait for the large boxes to go on sale though because the blinkie $2 can be combined with the Toss for Cash $2 giving us $4 off one box!

    • JESSICA

There’s also a Publix Baby Club Coupon (exp. 12/31/09) for BOGO Huggies Lotion, Body Wash or Shampoo.

    • rebecca

I LOVE my Publix. They take Rite Aid, Family Dollar, Target, ALL of them. No Food Lion around here anymore, so they stopped taking them, but THAT’S okay! They don’t double cpns, but THAT’s okay! They all know me by name and they all are super friendly and super helpful when I go in!!!!!!!!!!! I usually end up with 2 carts full every Saturday too! Can’t wait for the Harvey’s q’s to be posted! I can only print one set from my email! Thanks for the great site Jenny!

    • Betsy

      Mary #27,
The Publix stores in N. Alabama will take Target coupons and Food Lion coupons. The managers got together and decided on this. I’ve tried a few times though and they won’t take any Harvey’s coupons. My store in Decatur is great! If you ever have a question, just stop by the customer service desk and ask, they are very helpful!!!

    • Betsy

      Brooke #44,
If I were you I would send an email and complain to the corporate office if you haven’t already. That is completely pointless for you to be treated that way and I’m sure that the people at corporate would not be happy about it. I sent them an email with a complaint and our local store manager called me on my cell phone to apologize. Let us know what happens.

    • charlen

yes you can use a store(publix) and a competitor(albersons, winn dixie, & etc.) plus a manufacturer’s coupon on a item. also on bogo free items at publix you can use more than one coupon.

    • Kam

I wish that I could get some of the good coupon fliers from Publix. I am kind of glad that they are beginning to put them behind the customer service desk and making people ask for them. The Publix on Harbison puts them out and people take most or all of them at once. One or two fliers per person is plenty. That way, more people can enjoy them!

    • Sandy

      Brooke #44
The Publix on Pelham (for the most part), is really good to couponers. They dont take Target, Food Lion, Harvey, Rite Aid etc. They will take Bi-lo or Ingles and they will let you stack store q’s with a MQ if it is their own coupon or one from Bilo or Ingles.
I have talked to the manager, Bill Connors and he is a very nice man. I think you would enjoy shopping there.

    • Cathy

There is a coupon for $1.50 for Bertolli Olive Oil in the Kroger “Flavors of Fall” magazine that would go great with the BOGOF $6.99.

    • Jen

FYI- I just got back from a trip to the Publix on Daniel Island in Charleston and the check out girl would not accept my Target or Food Lion Competitor coupons. She said they no longer take any competitor coupons if they say anything about redeeming them in that store only(ie Target or Food Lion). I was bummed because I never get Similac on sale and had a Target coupon to use and also the Planters $2 off nut deal. Oh well- still saved a ton!

      Thanks Jenny!

    • I was about the print the Food Lion q for Trail Mix and it’s already expired!

    • Natalie

I shopped at my Publix on Valleydale Rd. in B’ham on Monday. I tried to use 2 Target coupons (which I’ve used before there) and was told by the cashier that they wouldn’t take them because they were not ‘Super’ Target coupons. I politely asked her what the difference was, and she said it would say Super Target on the coupon. I have never seen a Super Target coupon. Does anyone know if there’s actually a difference? If so, where do you get them? I get my Target coupons off their website.

    • Mandy Gabers

Blue Diamond Q printable has already had its limit reached.

    • Brooke (#44),
I am so sorry for your grief. It is the worst feeling to be treated as if you are being fraudulent when you are perfectly in the right… This morning, I went to Walmart for two free Glade candles (with coupons). They refused to honor them because they were FREE. I sat standing there for over 20 minutes while they got person after person to come over and view “the problem.” They refused to listen to my reasoning. Their ears were closed. There was a $.03 overage on each candle after the coupons and I guess that tripped their minds up. I told them I didn’t need the overage… but just give me my candles! They also said the picture on the coupon didn’t match the product I had. They did not care that the WORDS on the coupon stated I could get “any” Glade product. I ended up walking out without them, as they would NOT relent. Way to start a day, huh? I am looking forward to planning and enjoying my shopping trip to Publix for tonight. I hope you find a Publix that can serve you well. My Publix here in Athens, AL is GREAT!

    • Joanne

      Natalie –
I live in Bham too. I shop at the 150 Publix and they take all target coupons with no problem.

    • Jennifer

If anyone has a complaint, I would call the store and talk to the store manager. These days its much easier to send an email, which is what I did one time and my local store manager called me at home. He explained that any complaint or praise email gets sent to the store after going to the corporate office first. You would get a quicker response by just calling the store. Publix is about customer service so I’m sure if you call, the manager would be happy to help. I’ve been shopping at Publix for over 20 years in different states and the great service is the same.

    • morgan

Does anyone know if you can use 2 of the $1 general mills target coupons when buying the bogo items? The fine print in the bottom corner says, “limit one offer per transaction”. But to get the Kix for $0.24 I’m assuming you need 2 of the $0.75 manufacture coupons as well as 2 of the $1 target coupons?!.

    • Natalie #57
I have had the same cashier there on Valleydale. She told me yesterday that the tide coupon I had just received out of the smartsource box was expired! I asked when did it expire? She said August, I politely corrected her that the coupon does not expire until August 2010, we are in 2009 now! We both laughed. I had a Whole Foods coupon for the free chicken. The CS person told me all their competitors including Whole Foods, however the manager said not to accept the Whole Foods coupon for Publix would be loosing too much money.
Joanne #60 – What are the other competitor coupons that Publix on Hwy 150 takes? Thanks a million :)

    • Miriam

FYI… According to the cashier at Pulix in Ooltewah, TN, they no longer take Harvey’s coupons as they are not a competitor in our area. Although it’s disappointing, that’s completely true and I understand them not doing it anymore.

    • SP

Joanne #60- same question as Laura and have you had any luck with finding booklets at the 150 store?

    • sloan

I think someone mentioned this last week, but is there is a store in the Greenville area that takes target coupons? Seems like I remember someone said a store in simpsonville maybe takes target and food lion? I live near Easley, but they haven’t been super coupon friendly. Might be worth it to drive to simpsonville. =)

    • holly

Valleydale , Birmingham, Alabama Publix difficulties today:
Would not double my green giant coupon (does say do not double, but the publix I usually go to will double it anyway).
The Cambells soup (10 for $10) does NOT apply to the cooking soups. the coupon on here is for cooking soup. I used the cooking soup coupon anyway, but had to pay the regular $1.50 per can because they were not included on the sale.
They gave me a hard time about my target cereal coupons, but in the end they took them after calling the manager. Overall, I felt like they were giving me a hard time with my coupons. If they don’t want to take them, then they should change their policy. From now on, I will go back to the regular Publix I use on trace Crossings in Hoover. They are always polite and take the coupons.
Oh well! thanks for all the hard work you put into this website! I still saved $31 today, so not a bad shopping trip.

    • At my Publix in Hendersonville, TN the Purity ice cream is on sale and not Mayfield.

    • rbc

I had a great “quick trip” to Publix (Folly Road/Charleston, SC) this morning– they are getting tighter with the coupon policies, but are as nice as can be, especially when it is clear that everything is legit. I did, however have more coupons than items, which “the system would not allow.” The mgr came over, assessed the situation, took off two lower value/further exp date q’s so he could put in my $5 rite aid and $1.99 bounty q. My cashier was impressed with my savings, and let me know (very nicely) that technically they can’t accept a competitor q AND a Publix q for the same item (it is in the corporate policy–the competitor q is considered a store q), however, typically they WILL accept both.

    • Carolin

I’m wondering if you could use the coupon from the baby club for Huggies Buy 1 Get 1 Free Huggies Lotion, Wash or Shampoo and get both products for free since it looks like they are on sale buy 1 get 1 this week. Jenny thank you for all you do.

    • .Jennifer

Um… call me a dummy but I just noticed on the bottom of my raincheck I recieved today it says something along the lines of please redeem within 30 days. Is that new? I remember a few weeks ago I was getting rainchecks and a woman asked when they would expire and the customer service lady said that they don’t expire.

Sometimes my coupons expire before they get the item back in stock (or someone else buys them all again I go to a very heavy coupon store) so I save them for the next time coupons come out for that item… I hope I won’t have any problems!

    • libby

How much is planters trail mix?

    • Natalie

Joanne #60-Thanks! I would also like to know what other comp. coupons 150 takes.

Laura #63-Good story! I had a coupon yesterday that she scanned, but realized when I got home, it didn’t come off my total. So all in all, I lost out on about $4. Thanks for the info. on the WF coupon. I was going to try and use mine next week.

    • libby

HOw much is the Claritin or Claritin D usualy

      • Jenny

        Libby –

I just checked this morning and they start at $19.99 for the 30ct. They are mostly kept behind the pharmacy counter (the 10ct regular are out in front).

      **** New Coupon Book @ Publix *****

Didn’t see this posted anywhere, but there’s a new book Better At Home w/$20 in savings!! All MFR Qs.

    • Steph H

Where do I find the coupon books in the store? Hubby & I went the other day and searched the store over for them and couldn’t find any.

    • Debbie Emerick

Hi, re the Vlasic BOGO’s starting tomorrow, I’m in South FL so no q’s in the Toss for Cash, but I was in Publix this evening and quite a few Vlasic jars had .55 q’s around the neck of the jar. Good find if you don’t have the other ones.

    • AngthecouponNERD

Wow! This is a great list! I have a stack of Q’s ready for my next shopping trip, hoping that the items I like are in stock. Sometimes when I wait a few days, they’ve gotten another shipment.
Then I have to go on sun/Mon for the penny item. So I save a few less urgent items for that trip. :)
I will look for the Better at Home booklet!

    • Debbie E,

      Natalie #57
I noticed on the Target site this past week that some coupons say Target and others Super Target. I think they must have changed their system and the print wording.

    • Sarah P

I found a coupon for Nestle Candy Oct Family Fun Magazine.

Save $1 off any 2 miniatures 11oz or funsize bags
Starting to stock up for Halloween. Just hope I don’t eat it all before then.

    • Rose

All Huntsville, AL couponers the best Publix to go to is the one on County Line Road. They take Harvey’s, Food Lion, Kmart, Rite-Aid, and Target. I have never asked about Walgreens or CVS, but I am sure they take those as well.

I have noticed that some of the managers are not as friendly as they used to be to couponers, but it’s where I still have the best experience.

    • Melissa

My store would not double my do not double coupons today, when they normally do. Is this something new they are cracking down on? Still saved a bunch, just felt it could have been better.

    • Susan

I can totally see why Publix in TN would not accept Harveys- there aren’t any Harveys in the entire state. I am pretty sure stores do not get reimbursed on competitor coupons either, so it would be a loss to them.

    • Emily

I just noticed this past week that Publix milk went up to 3.09 a gallon from 2.79…that seems like a big jump to me!

    • KC

      Betsy #49

Which Publix in N. Alabama will take the Food Lion Q’S?

    • lynn

the new wording on the green advantage buys coupons makes it soo much better for me they now will let me use manf coupon with the store coupon yippy

    • Crystal

About the quaker coupons…i have some that are for GRITS, not Oatmeal. Am I missing the oatmeal ones, or was that a variation…I’m near Nashville and get the Tennessean.

    • Does anyone know if Publix in Anderson accepts Food Lion and Target coupons ab if so , what is their policy.

    • Colleen

yep, we got the grits one here in Nashville. We also didn’t get the Domino sugar coupon and when I tried to print one, said I’d already reached my limit when I’ve never printed a sugar coupon before. Frustrating!

    • lauri

This may have already been posted and if so, please accept my apologies. I shop at the Publix in Ooltewah, TN and they have an in-store special of 5lbs of potatoes for .99 and corn on the cob for .25 an ear….again, please accept my apologies if this was already posted. I tried to read all the posts, but there are way too many. :-)

Also, I signed up for the Publix Baby club and all of their magazines and for some reason, I don’t receive anything anymore. Has anyone else had this problem?

I’ve written to the Corporate Office before and they have never responded to my email. Very disappointing. Suggestions?

Thanks so much for this wonderful site….I LOVE IT!

    • Marie

(#12) Janet – I’ve had the Newman’s Own pasta sauce before and it is my favorite out of all of the jarred sauces. I’ve tried different flavors too and so far, all delicious.

(#27) Mary – I am in Madison, AL and have been able to use target coupons at my Publix. I believe per the wording on the coupon though, you can only use one.

    • I suggest you just call your Publix to see what competitor q’s they take so you can be prepared.

    • M

Just wanted to let everyone in Thomasville, GA, know that Publix is no longer accepting Publix and competitor coupons (It has to be one or the other)! They consider them to be the same. They also will not accept CVS Extra Care Reward coupons! Sounds like the cracking down has begun!!:(

    • Shannon

I am wondering how you gals are getting 10 coupons for something…Do you buy that many papers? Or get them from friends and family? Just wondering how cost effective it would be for me to buy that many papers….I don’t know. I am seeing that is really where you save at the store…with multiple items.
      thanks

    • Aymie

      Jenny
Since Florida doesnt double, does this mean that the boxed vegetables are $75 a piece?
Or are the Steamers included in the sale?

    • Aymie

      Meant $.75 not $75!

    • JESSICA #35 AND AMY #75
WOULD LOVE TO TRADE FOR THE BETTER AT HOME BOOKLET IF U HAVE ANY EXTRAS…..LET ME KNOW UR WISHLIST….I HAVE ALMOST ALL FOOD COUPONS AND I DONT EVEN USE THEM..EMAIL ME AT PATELYOMIKA@GMAIL.COM..THANKS.

Try zip code 90210 for the Lactaid

    • holly

FYI went to the publix North Charleston SC off Dorchestor Road and they no longer take Harvey’s coupons. Lady said that they do not take their coupons beacuse they are not a competitor here in Charleston! Bummer!!

    • Christy

I can’t find the 50 cents off of 1 boxed green giant vegetable coupon. Any hints on where to get it? Thanks for any help anyone can offer! <

    • Lana

      Christy,
the coupon link was in the lower right hand corner-it is for any Green Giant veg and has a picture of Steamers on it.

    • Amy

I have several Publix Stores (PS) in my area – like one on every corner!! There are PS I like to shop at, and some I don’t as they are not friendly or coupon friendly, so I just shop at the good ones. I also have ONE that usually doesn’t run out of the sale or BOGO items, so I pretty much shop that PS. I don’t argue w/the cashiers or managers over the coupon policies, I just make note of it and shop at another PS. Either way, I still do very well shopping at any PS using coupons against their sales & BOGOs. I don’t want Publix to get more strict on taking coupons, etc. I don’t have a Super Target in my area, or a Harvey’s so I understand they wouldn’t be considered a competitor. I do have a Winn-Dixie, Hitchcocks, Food Lion, and Target, (most of these don’t have coupons) and PS will take any of those, which works for me. They will also take a CVS and Walgreens if the coupon is an actual coupon, and doesn’t say anything about their “card”.

Whenever I print coupons, if it says “already printed” or “print limit reached”, it can be frustrating, but I guess those are just the breaks of the game – I still do very well from the information on this site, which I would NEVER be able to compile – I don’t know how Jenny does it, but I am grateful!!

    • Victoria

Publix today in Marietta, GA refused to take my Green Giant coupons because I had some color and some black and white. HE agreed to take the color ones but then suppressed the coupon doubling – so I told him that I will go elsewhere. What do you do in this situation?

    • Amy

Tell him to void those items, give your coupons back, and go to a different Publix in your area if there is one. If your are okay with him not doubling, then take back the B&W coupons and use them in a different trip. I never mix B&W and color coupons for that very reason. I’m at Publix so many times, I can use a few coupons each trip. None of my Publix stores double, but I still do very well w/savings.

    • Christie

COUPON OFFER EXPIRED FOR BLUE DIAMOND ALMONDS.
      ;(

    • Susan

I can’t say this enough: Thank You Jenny!

Went to Publix bought $55.58 (tax included, Tn charges tax on food), paid $10.88 (tax included). I am amazed every week on how much I save. My Publix is very polite, very coupon friendly, and stocked very well on sale items. They even walked me out to the car with an umbrella in the rain. So I would like to give a “high five” to my Publix on E. Brainerd Rd in Chattanooga.

    • lynn

REMINDER please remember if they are sold out to get a rain check for those deals then if they come in stock while the sale is still on you buy it then save the rain check for a later date

    • Libby (#72),

I saw the Planters Trail Mix for $1.99, making it FREE+ with the $2 off coupon. (Sorry if someone else already mentioned that).

Thanks, Jenny, for another great week of coupon match-up compilations!

    • Jenn

      Crystal- 87
I also got the grits coupons.—very disappointing. We love to eat oatmeal in this house, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it BOGO. Too bad we don’t have the oatmeal coupon to go with it. Bummer!!!

I’m in the Nashville area as well.

    • Erika Brown

Ok, Im new at all this couponing stuff. I have yet to figure out how you use so many coupons to make it cheap. I thought you could not use 2 manufacturers coupons. When you list your coupons in red does this mean use all of these coupons when you purchase the item or does it mean these are the coupons that you should have if you bought the paper?

    • Erika Brown

Where do you get Publis store coupons?

    • Leigh Anne

The Publix in Hixson Tn no longer doubles coupns that say Do Not Double. So, it sounds like other Publix stores are starting to do the same thing. I am disappointed in this. Why does the manufacturer print this on the coupon? They are having to reimburse the store for the double….it’s frustrating!

    • Angi

      Erika

She lists all of the available coupons, but you can only use one manufacturer coupon per item. Depending on your area your coupon may vary from what is posted, or you may not even have it in your insert.

You get the publix coupons from booklets the store gives out at the store. I usually find these at the customer service desk.

      Hope this helps

    • Angi

I am new to using Publix and I am located to where I can shop at the following stores: (in GA) Hwy 20 McDonough, Hwy 155 Locust Grove, 1941 in Lovejoy, Fayetteville and the Peachtree City Store. Can someone please give me feedback on these stores, i.e. what competitors do they take and are they coupon friendly. Thank you so much for your help

    • Shannon

There is a new book in found today @ publix. It was full of store coupons. One of the coupons was the glade sense and spray. If you combine the store coupon in the book and the manufacter coupon it makes the starter kits from 8.99 to only .99 cents. Its a -4.00 off store coupon and -4.00 manufacter coupon. Also when you purchase starter kits you recieve coupons in the box that you can get more starter kits with. Just use the store coupon and the manucoupon

    • Andrea

I had a similar experience as Brooke (post #44) with who sounds like the same cashier. I was shopping at the Publix at Thornblade a few months ago using manufacturer’s Qs from the newspaper and Publix store coupons. I had about 30 coupons total. For each coupon, she checked the expiration date (I had no issue with this; she was doing her job) and questioned whether or not I bought the item. After the 10th coupon, she said, “I can’t keep up with all of these coupons, I can’t believe you expect me to scan all of these.” The bagger rolled his eyes at her and told her he would help her match the coupons up to the products I purchased. The worse part about this particular trip, she made fun of me and all the coupons I used to the customer behind me. Shopping at Publix that day was definitely not a pleasure.

      Hi there Jenny,

I was wondering with all your couponing connections if you know of someone who might be compiling matchups for Pet Smart’s big sale on “pet stuff” or if its even worth it?

Also THANKS again for “the list” my total before coupons was $134.98 and I paid only $29.25 out of pocket!!! LOVE IT!!!

      Kristan

I haven’t had a problem at Publix so far they have been great. Some school in HSV is selling a booklet with $5 of $50 for a local grocery store Star Market (10 coupons per book I bought 2) and I’ve used them at the Publix on Mtn Gap, Hampton Cove, and Madison and all take them just fine. I also use target coupons at Publix a lot too. I had one older cashier during the day give me a hard time about the amount of coupons and treat me like a inconvience so I just go when she’s not there… no big deal……

      Good Luck,
      Kristan

#62 – Does anyone know? I want to go shopping soon! :)

    • Kim

Great day at Publix! We had bagel pizzas for dinner using Lender’s Bagels (15 cents OOP) & Newman’s Own sauce (34 cents OOP). Even without coupons for the Publix Caesar Salad Kit ($2.50), ground beef ($3.53) & mozzarella cheese ($2.49),a very cheap dinner ($9)for my family of 5–and we have enough left over to do the same thing again (minus the salad) for lunch this weekend. So, really, that $9 will feed us for 2 meals!

    • Juliett

I went today and my West Ashley Publix manager who I have gotten to know pretty well told me that they are going to have major changes coming soon and to “get it while you can!” :( I’ve been spoiled by all of your deal finding!

    • Angie

I would like to give another high five to the East Brainerd Road Publix. My cashier was so great and excited about how much I saved. I even gave her a few of my things to try and she was very grateful. Paid $36 and saved $73. I had a cart FULL of groceries! I love PUBLIX!!!!

    • AngelaDH

I’m disgusted. I found someone on Ebay selling 10 Lenders Bagels Qs from the Toss for Cash booklet. Now I know why we can never find any! :( As much as I want those coupons I refuse to buy them like that. It’s not like she paid for them, they were free! Ugh

    • julia

      AngelaDH,
I can never find the booklets I need too…I guess that would be why.

    • Donna

As far a coupon books go, the Toss for Cash (GA version) is one booklet that has been at all of the Publix stores here and still is. They have displays with hundreds of them at all of the Publix stores in the Atlanta area. I don’t think someone taking 10 of these books is the reason you can’t get them or there wouldn’t be any left! Some stores get the coupon books in some areas and some don’t. I use the Southern Saver trader site so I can swap my excess coupons with the people who have excess of others, that may work out for those of you you do not like to pay for your coupons. I don’t question or judge how they came about to get the coupons that they have, just grateful that they are willing to share. We all know it takes alot of work, time and gas to gather and organize coupons, so they are hardly free.

    • People SELL coupons on e-bay?!?

    • AngelaT

For Angi (#115) I shop at the Peachtree City and Fayetteville stores. I don’t shop at the Fayetteville Pavillion store but the one going towards Senioa straight down hwy. 85. Those store are coupon friendly but sometimes not often I do get a cashier that takes offense to the coupons. I think since recently the rules have changed I can’t tell you what competitors they take anymore. Most aren’t taking Target or any of the drugstores. As others have said usually if a Coupon says Do not Double they still would but recently some cashiers are suppressing those coupons so that they don’t double. I have had it happen once but just want you to be aware of that. Happy shopping and couponing.

    • M #94- I just used a publix coupon (baby club) along with a food lion coupon. However I was told they will no longer scan the rite age $5 of $25 until all other coupons have been scanned.

    • Dianna

      Brooke (#44)

I live in FL where Publix originates. Please e-mail corporate about what happened. They need to know if their employees are being rude to customers. Publix has grown based mostly on it’s excellent customer service and clean stores. I have e-mailed corporate twice over praises and one time got a coupon for free ice-cream (my compliment was over a new flavor) and the second time a manager called me over my comment. (the meat manager conveniently packaged pork loin that was on sale).

I have not had many problems with coupons. Most of the cashiers are amazed on how much money I save. I do sometimes get dirty looks from the customers behind me until they find out how much I saved on my trip.

As far as the stores not having the items on sale. You should bring this up to corporate. It is the grocery manager’s job to be sure they have enough sale items in stock.

    • Shiloh Kennedy

I just spoke with customer service at Publix in Ooltewah, TN. They DO except Target coupons… BUT…. you can only use ONE of them per transaction…so can’t use two for B1G1 deals:-( But he also told me that I can stack them with manufacture and publix Q’s. So that makes up for it. I can use a $1/2 General Mills Man Q, plus a $1/1 Target Q and it works great. Hope this helps !!!

    • Pam

Just got home from the Publix on E. Brainerd and the cashier supressed my “do not double” coupons. :( That is the first time this has ever happened since I have been shopping there. Guess they are cracking down. They do still take Target and Food Lion coupons, so that is good!

    • Anna

Has anyone had problems with their coupon printer not working? It said that I needed to install it (which I have done before) and I installed it, and the coupons still didn’t print, it just keeps telling me to install…I have installed 3x’s tonight and still can’t print my coupons…going out of my mind! Has this happened to anyone else before?

    • Lori

why is the publix in Lex. SC not letting the double go through? i went tonight and all my printed coupons that read do not double, she wouldn’t push through. is this a new policy or am i just behind. Did save more than 60% though!

Can You say what school or can you email me ?

      kc131391@yahoo.com

    • Holly

I am new to this, so had a Publix question. Can you use a General Mills manufacturer coupon for save $1.00 on 2, then also use a manufacturer coupon for KIX specific $.75 off combined with that? What if one coupon is a Target and the other is manufac? Just curious before I go shopping tomorrow.

      Thanks.

    • starbucksgirl

Anna, your problem is a common one. When you have this problem it is related to the browser that you are using. If you are having this problem in Internet Explorer then you will need to cut and paste the URL and print the coupon in Firefox. If you are having the problem in Firefox then you will need to cut and paste the URL into Internet Explorer. This will solve your problem.

    • starbucksgirl

Anna, the coupons are sometimes “coded” to print in a certain browser.

    • morgan

#131 and #136 – I had asked about using more than 1 Target coupon on here but didn’t get a response before I had gone to the store. So, I just used 2 Target coupons and 2 of the kix coupons and they didn’t have a problem with it.

    • Amy

The Duncan, SC Publix is very coupon friendly. That is WHY I shop there. The Duncan Publix is THE BEST Publix I have been to in the Upstate as far as coupon policies and friendliness. They really do serve the customers with a smile!

A suggestion…if your Publix is good OR bad email them. Go to the corporate website and send in an email. The local store gets these if you note which store you are referencing.

I have had managers call me a few days after emailing corporate. I send in PRAISE to encourage the store managers who do a good job.

THE WORST PUBLIX I have ever visited is located in Beafort, SC. They have BAD ATTITUDE plus! Not just about coupons but about customers in general. The store attitude is “snippy.” They are fortunate to be one of the few grocery stores in the area of the resorts and they know it! Don’t go there unless you are forced to.

    • Didn’t see this anywhere, but the Publix on E. Brainerd in Chattanooga, TN has hotdog and hamburger buns for $.25! Also, I think I saw the Friday’s appetizers at BOGO. I LOVE all the stores on E. Brainerd. Yesterday, I hit Publix, Bi-Lo and FoodLion! Thank you, Jenny! Between you and ChattanoogaCheapskate, I’m saving at least 50% every visit!

    • AngelaDH

@Anna #133- I had to update firefox the other day so that my coupons would print. Do you have the latest version of your browser installed and running?

    • Angi

      AngelaT

      Thanks for the info.

    • MW

Did everyone really think this would last forever? Publix is losing $$ taking the competitor coupons – even if they have gained more business but doing this they still lose money from the sale. I don’t blame them for not taking all the $5 off coupons from other stores and was surprised that they ever did (not that I didn’t use them like everyone else though). I would be surprised if they take competitor coupons for much longer anywhere :( Aren’t they getting new computers or something in January anyway?

    • AngelaDH

I spoke with a manager at the Ooltewah Publix today. He told me that they do double coupons that say “do not double or triple” as long as they are .50 or less. That is what management tells their employees. If they take off the doubling then it is the cashier’s own doing and not management’s. :)

    • brig

      Jenny,

I cannot find that lactaid coupon!! I have looked and looked- even put in other area codes and still can’t pull it up. Any advice? this is an expensive item that i purchase WEEKLY :) thanks for the help

    • Rose

People looking for the coupon book in Huntsville, AL… I ordered two from a co-worker who was selling them for her daughter that attends Chaffee Elementary.

    • can i use more then one of the tgi publix coupons in the same trancation

    • kat

FYI & this may be old news…I found coupons in the parenting magazine & family fun….

    • Rita

It seems that many of the Publix stores take a competitors coupon, a Publix coupon and a manufacturers coupon, all for the same product. It would be really sweet to use three coupons on one item but my store on Forest Dr Columbia SC will not do that, nor will they accept Target or drug store coupons. Are there any Publix stores in Columbia that let you use 3 Q’s for one item???? or accept anything but Food Lion or Kroger Store Q’s????

By the way, since Planters Trail Mix is BOGO this week, you can get 2 bags free using your $2 Food Lion coupon.

    • Tiffany

I just left the Publix in Thomasville, GA having purchase the Huggies diapers. One of the supervisors told me that you our store will let you use a store coupon and a competitor coupon OR a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon, but not all three together. I’m kind of confused as to the logic on this. So they’re willing to “eat” the competitor coupon if you don’t have a manufacterer coupon(which they get reimbursed for). I’m so confused why all the stores have individual policies on coupons.

    • Tarrah R.

      *******GM Cereal Coupon***********
I saw that some of you had problems printing the $1.00 GM cereal coup- saying that you had already printed when you hadn’t. Same thing for me, so I did a few things to make it work, I got it to work, but it is actually a $1.00/2 coupon- not as great as I thought. Maybe Jenny missed the /2 part. If you still want the coupon: click on continue on the ‘already printed’ page- then click home (at the bottom of screen), then click on the coupon on the home page. It’ll print if you, indeed, have not printed it the two times allowed. Good Luck!

    • Marlie

FYI…. Bi-Lo will double coupons that say “Do not double or triple” as long as they are 60 cents or less. They also never give me any grief for printed coupons either.

    • Tarrah R.

Did anyone get the $1 toaster studel coupon? Mine printed as $1/2 not as good of a deal. :-(

    • Brandie

For those of you in the Birmingham, AL area:
The Publix in Pelham is wonderful. It may be a little out of the way for some of you, but I shop there weekly and never have any trouble. The cashiers are wonderful and always polite. Recently, my cashier did not scan a few coupons by mistake and when I realized it, I called the store. He sincerely apologized and allowed me to come back the next day and get a cash refund for those coupons. Excellent customer service! The only competitor coupons they accept are actual grocery stores and Target coupons. Does any other Birmingham area Publix take drug store coupons? The Publix on Doug Baker Blvd will take Walgreens b/c they are in the same shopping center.

    • Cindy

      Jenny,

I found the following booklets of coupons at my Publix:

Publix family fitness weekend – making triathlon cool again.
Kraft simply delicious – $12.55 savings inside.
Nabisco save up to $55.00 throughout the school year.

      I also found Reddi-wip $.55 coupons.

    • Jennifer

When coupons are doubled the store does NOT get reimbursed from the manufacturer. I don’t know why everyone thinks they do. I asked many different store managers & they all say the same thing. The stores lose money each time a coupon is doubled & each time they accept a competitors coupon. If a coupon clearly states Do Not Double, the store needs to adhear to the conditions listed on the coupon. If everyone keeps taking advantage, stores will stop taking our coupons. I have the attitude of being thankful for what I save.

    • Rachel

Some of the packages of Keebler cookies in my Publix had a $2/2 peelie on them. I used that, plus the $2 off milk coupon and the “Free publix shopping bag” coupon. Awesome deal!

    • lynn

jenny. just wanted to drop you a little THANK YOU for doing all the coupon match ups for us all the time iam still amazed every week how much i save evn though they do not double here we have the true bogo that makes it worth it god bless you and your also tell you family thank you for sharing you with us

8 cups of the GM cereal $1.00 each
      2 bottles of all- 2 for $5.99
      1 6 pack of Charmin $2.99 each

      used
      8 $2.00/1 off trail mix
      8 $1/1 GM cereal
      Paid $1.33 out of pocket!

    • Renee

I sure did need the Campbell’s Soup coupon, but the link doesn’t work. =0(

    • Kiri

I am new to all this, but attend this past Thursday class and I am obsessed with it after this weekend’s saving. My question is… Publix did not double my internet coupons that said “do not double” but had a upc code starting with a 5. I shop at the Publix in Lexington, SC. Is that normal for Publix? BTW – BiLo did double my coupons.

Thanks Jenny for all the great work!!!

    • libby

Hey guys if you go here there anre some good coupons you can stack with others
      http://clickcallmail.com/publix_big_savings.pdf

    • Krisitna

Jenny, it looks like we have a lot of N. Alabama (Huntsville, Decatur, Madison, Athens etc.). Perhaps we can make arrangements for a seminar. Those in the area, please post your interest. Jenny, if we need to post in a different area, let us know. Thanks.

    • libby

Publix is really cracking down on coupons. A woman in front of me today had accidentally cut the date of of her coupons and the cashier wouldn’t take them unless the date was on it.

    • julia

What is the cheapest sale price for tide usually? What is the current price at Publix?

    • libby

      julia,
      Tide 2x Detergent, 50 oz, $5.99 ea

      This is the current price.

    • Natalee

Hey!! North Alabama seminar sounds FABULOUS!! And by the way, I have been shopping the local Publix stores around here for a while and have found that the Athens store takes every competetitor coupon that I have ever brought to them, as well as the one in Madison on Madison Blvd. The Madison location ALWAYS has coupon books & tons of them, so if you are in the area you may want to try there….but please leave some for me, since I shared my honey hole :)

    • Lange

Anyone else have the Peter pan coupons in the Aug AllYou? I don’t, nor the Domino Sugar one.

    • mel

      ive bought coupons off ebay….

    • Stella

Huntsville and Madison, AL, people: Coupon books are also for sale by the Covenant Christian Academy Band (small private church school on Weatherly Road). Hwy 20 Publix and County Line Road stores take the $5 Star Market coupons, but also, the meat at Star Market is always excellent quality, and the sale prices on meat can be good. It’s always worth a check.

Hwy 20 Publix is no longer taking Food Lion coupons. But, the people there couldn’t be more nice to couponers. Several of the cashiers coupon, and we share tips as I go through the line. Plus, I never wait in a line there – if there are 2 or 3 people waiting in a line, the manager rushes over to open a new line. I save money in time saved at that store!

    • Laura

Does Publix not do overages? I used my 2.00 Q on the trail mix but I only bought one and he only took $1.00 off and said they don’t do overages, I swear they’ve done them before though?!?

    • Amanda

There were also $1/2 planter’s product in a nabisco booklet that was in stores a little while back.

    • Frugalmommy

First I just wanted to say thanks for everything you do. This site is such a blessing.
I would like to ask the readers in Southeast TN if the Publix on East Brainerd Rd is really as great as it seems to be praised so far on here. I live in Cleveland and usually drive the 20 minutes to the Ooltewah Publix, But they don’t really seem all that friendly and always seem to have attitude when I’m trying to use coupons and treat me like I’m trying to cheat them or something, Also they always seem to be out of the things I am coming to buy to get the specials and They NEVER have any of their booklets for me, ever. :( So I would be willing to drive to east brainerd each week to deal with that store but has anyone had any problems with that location, or is it always nice things to say about them? So far what i have read, the shoppers seem to be able to build rapport with the cashiers from their weekly visits. That would be nice.

Oh yeah also the Bilo there? Is it really good cause the one here in Cleveland makes me want to run out and cry everytime I leave. lol.

    • Amy

I went to Publix Friday, and found Febreze candles, 2 for 9.00. So Saturday, I got my coupons and went back to get a candle, but it rang up 9.99, not on sale. I told the cashier the price was incorrect, and he sent a manager back to check the shelf, and found someone had misplaced the sale sign, it was actually a different candle on sale. When an item is marked one price on the shelf, and rings up a different price at the register, Publix gives you the item for free, so I got my Febreze candle for free!!!

Also, there are a handful of coupons for the bounce dryer bar, which I’ve never used, but it’s approx $4.50 at my Publix, and w/coupons, I only paid a $1.00 for it – this particular Publix will take a store coupon + a competitor coupon + a manufacturer coupon on one item!! All the other Publix’s in my area will only take two Qs on an item.

      I love Publix!!

    • Shannon

Hello I cant seem to find the post fro the other day that talks about how to print more coupons from the links tht say sorry you have already printed this the number of times allowed. Can anyone tell me?

    • Lane

Lender’s Bagels are not on sale at the Lexington, SC Publix – it’s the Ray’s Bagels that are B1G1 there.

    • Lane

Oops! I recant comment 177 – I was looking in the freezer section and not the dairy case. Sorry!

    • JEB

At the Lexington, Sc store today, my cashier suppressed the doubling of my coupons for Green Giant frozen veggies and my raincheck coupons for Betty Crocker cookie mix. They are internet coupons and do say not to double, but usually they ALWAYS get doubled. Is this a new thing or did I just get the wrong cashier? This was an older lady. The only other time I had my coupon ever suppressed was by an older lady at a Harbison store. My printer is old and crappy, and so my coupons usually won’t scan and they have to key them in…

    • George Jenkins

If i coupon says DO NOT DOUBLE Publix will not double…for a reason. For example, 50 cent coupon is doubled. Thats 50 cents the company just lost…now lets say 50 cent coupon is double 100 times throughout the span of a week. thats $50 the company just lost in a week. This takes away from the company as well as the employees.

As for the checking of coupons. This is necessary as people maybe by accident, maybe not, will give coupons for items they DO NOT have. If the cashier scans the coupon thats more money lost in the company and in bonuses.

The cashiers aren’t being “difficult” they are doing their job properly.

    • the mauldin publix is now only accepting bilo, bloom, and ingles coupons.

    • Emily

Does anyone know the info about the Publix on Johnnie Dodds in Mt. Pleasant, SC? What types of coupons do they take? Which ones will they not take? I want to have my “stuff” in order before I go and try my hand at couponing :)
      Thanks so much!

    • George Jenkins

We take competitor coupons in the area…bi-lo, food lion, the pig, kroger.

Not target or harveys or any other store that is not a DIRECT competitor.

Your aloud 1 store/competitor coupon and 1 vendor coupon per item.

That is for all of publix…if you get more than that your lucky or the cashier doesn’t know what they’re doing

    • Jackie

I’m not sure if someone else asked this, but I have a few questions. First of all are you allowed to use the buy one Huggies diapers and get one package of Huggies wipes free along with the Publix $3.00 off a box of diapers(not sure since one store coupon would be for the diapers and the other for the wipes)? Second are you allowed use the $1.50 off any 8 jars of Beech-Nut baby food in combination with the advantage buy(I wasn’t sure if the advantage buy counted as a store coupon or not)? These are both publix coupons from the baby club.
Thank you for all you do and all the money you save my family!!!

    • Shiloh Kennedy

I went to Publix in Ooltewah, TN today… great savings. BUT… for the Huggies… They would not allow me to use the $3 publix Q, and FLIP, and a Many Q. She said the publix and food lion coupons are both considered “store Q’s” so they will only take one or the other. Jenny said we could do all 3, but I guess some stores don’t allow it. Oh well, still did great !!! Purchased $72 in groceries and spent $31 oop!

    • Missie

I was at the Huntsville, AL Bailey Cove/Mt. Gap road Publix and found the “One stop One store” coupon books in the lobby area. They do have the $4.00 off Glade Sense and Spray/Lasting Impressions coupon and also a $3.00 off any Glade product from “The Fragrance Collection”. The 2oz candles are $3.19 making them just .19 cents and our store has the 3 wick candles half price at $4.50 (reg. $9.99) making them just $1.50. WOO-HOO!!!

    • Sebastian’s Mommy

I went to Publix in Camp Creek and got 7 boxes of Cookie Crisp for free (amongst other sale items). I had 7- 50 cent manu. coupons and 7 Target coupons for $1 off.

Before beginning my shopping I waited on line at customer service and asked the manager on duty if I would be allowed to use all of the Target and manu coupons. She was not overly nice but did sign each target coupon and wrote a note “Use as store coupon $1 off” on each of the 7 target coupons so the cashier I went to would know it was okay. I made sure to show my appreciation. : )

This Publix has a Target in the same complex (Camp Creek Marketplace).

      New coupon policy??
I went to the Harbison (SC) Publix yesterday. I used a Publix and Manufacturer coupon and was told they had just changed their policy and could now longer stack coupons.
Does anybody know about this change?

    • Denise.

I went to Publix on Friday and the cashier supressed the Double coupon on all my Green Giant Q’. I still did great, spent $51.74 and saved $111.17. So I was still happy with the outcome even though I would have saved an extra $3.00

    • Janet

Hello everyone…just to clarify Publix coupon policy. Publix DOES accept competitors coupons (Kroger, BiLo, Food Lion). They only accept direct competitors (IE. not target, cvs, walgreen etc.) and they ONLY accept grocery competitor coupons that are in the local market (otherwise only stores that are actually in whatever city you live in). I hope this helps clarify some of the confusion about the coupon policy. Also they will not accept a competitor and store coupon because they are viewed as the same thing.

    • Tarrah R.

Shannon-#177- See comment 152 for the cereal coupon.
      HTH!

    • Aly Boyles

Angie #115 I shop at both Publix in Peachtree City. I find that the Peachtree East, on Hwy 54, is the best. They have always been more than accepting of competitor coupons. Almost all the cashiers are extremely helpful and even sometimes complimentary of my coupon deals. It almost always has a great selection. The manager, Dave, runs a great store. The Wilshire is not as large and did not accept my Target, but they are still very nice.

PS The CVS across from Peachtree East is fabulous and the manager is wonderful about letting me “roll” transactions.

    • Diana

After reading frequent comments on amazing savings and problems getting some coupons accepted, I want to share my experience this week at Publix.
I had a $2.00 Food Lion store coupon for Planter’s Trail Mix. What a deal, 2 free bags of trail mix! The shelves were empty, no trail mix. After finishing my shopping, I stood in the check out line behind a woman with many bags of Planter’s Trail Mix and over 20 Food Lion store coupons. I was not impressed by her savings ($50.00 of food for $5.00). Instead I felt she was rude and selfish. This has happened with other items that are great deals. I have rainchecks but I do not live close to Publix and I shop there only when I have other errands in the area. The empoyees are great, but they have difficulty have food for everyone with coupons when a few people clear the shelves!

      Jenny Here:
I agree with your issue wholeheartedly. There are days that I want the website to open with a voice saying please only use one competitor coupon for each product per transaction!

    • LOVE MY PUBLIX!

Actually Janet, My Publix just took Target, Walgreens, and CVS coupons from me, and I was paid over $4.00 to walk out with over $139.00 worth of items! So…my advice; Ask your store what the policy is, seems it either varies store by store, or the policies keep changing! I’m returning tonight with coupons from food lion because I was just informed that they are accepting the (again) after NOT accepting them for about two months. YAY!

      Hey coupon kings and queens!!

In the most recent Chattanooga paper there was a 1 sheet ad 6 cool Publix Store Coupons. Those of you who don’t get our paper our missed out on the ad check out ClickCallMail.com

(Jenny, if you’ve already set up links to this, I apologize. I didn’t check the last 6 Publix posts to see if there were any matches. LOL
      Thanks for all you do!!!)

Publix in Charleston SC… I was told yesterday you can not use a competitor coupon and a publix coupon for an item. You can only use a manufacture coupon and a public or competitor now. I was a little upset about it but the manager said it was getting out of hand. I can imagine. He said some girls were coming in there and there total before coupons would be well over $150 sometimes $200 and the store would owe them money and corporate got upset about it and told the manager they needed to change that rule?? who knows?

Please help me! I see where you all are using all these competitors coupons, but can’t figure out where you are getting them. All I find on Foodlion are coupons from Smartsource that I have already seen. Any information would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to keep 3 teenage boys and friends fed!

I am new to the site and have been couponing off and on the last few years but southernsavers brings it to a whole new level!

After spending a lot of time getting my coupons together and then going to the store, I was on edge when going to the check out line. The cashier started ringing in my items and then asked for the coupons and counted all of my items and matched all of the coupons before continuing. I got nervous and was about to get defensive but bit my lip. In the end, she was really nice and took my $5 off $50 Piggly Wiggly coupon before taking off the other coupons…I spent $29 and saved over $77! And a manager walked my carriage out and loaded my groceries! After reading the comments, I guess with so many people couponing, the cashier wants to do her job! Both her and the bagger congratulated me with my savings…I felt like I won the lottery!

This was at the Publix in Southside Savannah :)
