Ligonier Ministries is offering the hardcover Reformation Study Bible for whatever price you can contribute. This is only good today. We got one when they offered this last year and it’s a great study Bible!

It is typically priced around $40 (so while a $5 donation works do think about your donation price).

(thanks Megan!)

I knew you were a religious nutjob, but you otherwise provide a good service here. Now this is carrying your zealotry too far.

    2. Bryarsmom says:

I think a person should do a bit of research before purchasing-all Bible's are not created equal :) Just a thought…

    3. Ron704 says:

I think Jenny has started something that should never have been. This should not be a forum on which bible is correct or uncorrect. People who visit this site come from all faiths or non-faiths.

    4. Jenny says:

My goal is to post deals of all sorts. If you want go for it, if you don't grab another deal on something else.

      Thanks :)

      • Ron704 says:

Again, I think you provide a good service here, but your religous views have no place in whether someone gets a good deal or not. Actually, I find your original posting on the seedy side because you encourage people to donate a little just to receive an item. I've noticed this quite a bit on this site in the past couple of weeks. The thought of donating to any cause in the smallest amount possible to get a freebie is disingenuous and borders on stealing or at the very least taking an unfair advantage.

Some people don't celebrate Halloween either, but I didn't hear anyone complain when Jenny let us know about CVS's $5 off Halloween items coupon. Ligonier Ministries are the ones offering the deal to donate any amount (whether small or not) and receive a Bible; Jenny is simply letting us know about the offer.

        • Where did she ever make it sound like that? She made the comment about thinking about your donation price for people that would try to just get this for a steal but I'm pretty sure that most of her readers are good and honest people and wouldn't do something like that. And what's wrong with having a “religious” view? It's who she is and she doesn't hide it and I truely wish there were more people like her.

    5. K.T. says:

AWESOME Bible & excellent study notes! I'm sorry some people have a hard time with God's truth!

    6. lovedbyGod2 says:

Thank you Jenny for all of your hard work! I've got more Bibles than some libraries, so I am going to pass on this – but I appreciate you keep us in the know of deals like this, and all other deals. Some that interest me and some that don't. It's good to have options and know what's out there.

    7. Ron704 says:

And, as anyone can see, the offer is not about business. It's out-and-out prozletization. They don't care what price is paid, so long as they get the word out.

    8. Michelle says:

Wow folks- it is a bargain price on a Bible. If you don't want it don't buy it. My kids are all teenagers, but I don't complain about diaper deals being useless! Let's not be so sensitive.

    9. Ron704 says:

Our country's founders were for the most part Deists or are you going to rewite history too? A lot of things motivate a lot of people. Is it your place to decide which motivation or deed is more worthy than others? I don't think so. You decide for yourself. You do not have the right to decide for others. Wonder how Jenny's sponsors would feel about her using their sponsorship to prosletyze.

    10. Steph says:

My goodness, yes let's NOT start censoring Southern Savers, that is ridiculous, frankly Jenny I would delete all posts in reply and not have that option on this generous deal. They can take it or leave it. Thank you for the post!!!!

    11. Ron704 says:

      Halloween is not religious.

    12. Ron704 says:

Your comment is trite and does not address the issue.

    13. Ron704 says:

You miss the point–Jenny recommends it, which goes far beyond posting the deal.

    14. Karen says:

One of the great things about the web is you get to choose which blogs and websites you visit. If you don't like this one, I'm sure you can find another one that suits you without bothering the rest of us.

    15. Jenny says:

I am closing the comment on this post. Please enjoy the Bible or enjoy other deals!

    16. Michelle says:

It is spelled proselytize. You are really overreacting to this. First criticizing Jenny and now making veiled threats about sponsors. Quite sad.
