Carriearmywife, how do you figure out your shoe size with them?

        • You have to measure your foot – here’s how vibram says to measure: http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/size_fit/

Hope that helps, these shoes really rock if you can just get past the looks!

        • If you go to the vibram’s website they have instructions on how to measure your foot for the shoes. They really do rock if you can get past the looks!

Yep, just go to the site. I have a girlfriend with back issues and she swears by these. I just like them because I love to be barefoot and have read great stuff about barefoot running. I am not a huge runner I average 18-20 miles a week and these are perfect. Ease into running in them.

LOL….They’re just creepy to me!!!  LOL

I don’t see them on the site for $42.33 – the only pairs I see are $49.93, am I doing something wrong? Or have they changed the price?

      • Guest

        I don’t see them either…

    • I would suggest going to a store and trying them on before you decide to buy…if you run.  My hubby suprised me with a pair for my birthday after I had hemmed and hawed over them for months.  I had heard so many positives about them, but had heard alot of negatives too.  I really thought these would be great for me…wrong!!  I went from running 8-10 miles a day to barely making 2 6 weeks after and it wasn’t soreness either.  I felt like I was treading water and even though they felt great to walk in and were lighter I HATED the way they felt when running.  I went from really looking forward to my daily runs to dreading it!  Anyway, long story short went back to my Mizuno’s and haven’t regretted it!  They are only $39, so if you don’t like them it won’t hurt as bad as the $115 my hubby forked out for mine…if nothing else they are great for around town!!

I don’t know why, but I think they look awesome!  I love the style.  I’m actually more attracted to people in five fingers.  It’s like seeing someone in their more natural state.  I love it.  Modern shoes remind me of something akin to chinese foot binding.  Ok, ok…so I know it’s not THAT bad, but let’s get to the point.  Nothing should impede the growth and/or movement of your body, and wearing shoes can definitely do such! I’ve been wearing five fingers for over years and I refuse to wear anything else.  I cringe at the thought of putting on foot mittens – and at least mittens let your thumb move..
