I tell you every Wednesday what coupons are coming in the Sunday paper, but in case you missed it…  you do not need to get a paper tomorrow.  There will be no coupon inserts.  This is normal on holiday weekends so don’t panic.

If you need a coupon fix, you can always print coupons.  Most of the major sites loaded a ton of new coupons on Thursday so click around and grab any you want.  Or you can join me and go spend some time playing go-fish with your kids!

      Thanks for the reminder  :)

Thanks!  I put my paper on hold – kind of like a $1 coupon!

My girlfriend just purchased Sunday paper at Kroger in Atlanta area…she said there ARE coupons but it is store coupons…so may still be worth buying a paper!

      Okay, here’s my story.
Never been a couponer; it was below me. Also, I took the stance that I don’t buy processed foods, blah blah blah. Hated shopping. Always spent too much.

Well, I found your site and saw how easy it is – and how STUPID it is to spend full price for everything.

I am sure I have a lot to learn – and it took me far too long to prepare for my shopping trips… BUT… I saved 28.00 at Kroger today (mostly on the P&G stuff) and, here’s the biggie, $47.27 at Publix. I spent some money, too, but I have food to eat this week,  meat in the freezer, sauces in the pantry, and toiletries to last awhile.

      I’m  psyched – and hooked!

      Thank you!

Dear Carole,  wishing you the best! I started with this site last June and in 15 months I have saved thousands of dollars!  My best advice to you is get more than one newspaper on the weeks the coupons incude things you normally buy. Check the coupon previews posted here for each sunday’s paper then buy accordingly.  The trick is not to run out and buy your items. Wait and see if there is a sale then pair it with the coupons.  Also, get a CVS extra care card.  I never shopped at Walgreens or CVS. I always felt they were too expensive.  Wow was I wrong! With sales, coupons, and the CVS machine coupons in store, there are some really good deals. I instantly wrote drug stores off as overpriced (I worked for Eckerd for 11 yrs) and some of the best deals out there are at drug stores.  :) Happy shopping and welcome!

    • Andrea

wow!  I am glad I saw this.  I am new to couponing and had no idea that Holiday papers did not have coupons.  Thanks for the tip!

    • Christine

I was in the Publix on Hwy 5 in Douglasville, GA and above the papers it said, “Over $350.00 in savings”…..if there will be no coupons….wondering why that was posted on this weeks newpaper?  I did notice an O’Charley’s coupon sticking out of the inserts.  I did not see other coupons, but that Publix is notorious for “missing” some or all inserts.  I quit buying them there.  Anyone who lives in the Atlanta Area and works for the Atlanta Journal want to clarify this for us????

Actually in our house, it’s Candy Land or Sequence for Kids (which I vastly prefer).

Just got my Telegram delivered in Nash Co NC- paper was in a plastic bag w/ coupon for $5/15 at Food Lion w/ participating products.

Just want to note, you COULD still buy a newspaper.  There are other things in the NEWSpaper than coupons.  Like NEWS.  Just saying.

Also, my Knox News had a $5 O’Charley’s coupons and a 20% off at Bed, Bath and Beyond coupon.  If you go to either place, the savings would likely pay for the paper. Again, just saying.

      • Msgoodwin76

Or you could read it online and save the money! No reason to pay if it’s free!

Is it bad to say I don’t mind having a week off. Last week I was sorting a couple of weeks because my job has been so crazy.  Gonna get my CVS shopping done and call it a day.

    • Mrscori2006

Yes, I still need to buy the paper. I enjoy knowing what’s going on in the world besides where to try to get everything for free LOL

I just got a $829.99 iPad2 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HDTV for only $251.92, they are both coming with USPS tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use BIDSNEW.çom

Did anyone get Red Plums in the Birmingham News during the month of August? I get 10 copies each week and did not get a single red plum the whole month.

Hi, I have extra P&G and Redplum inserts from last week’s paper (2 of each). Would anyone like to swap for the SmartSource inserts from last week? ~thanks!

Thank goodness for posts like this. I would have forgotten and bought my usual Sunday papers

    • I usually do printables and got my cousin into couponing this past month and yesterday she told me there was no coupons. I guess I can let her know why! thanks, Jenny!
