Restaurant.com 80% off coupon code

Toward the end of each month Restaurant.com usually does 70 and 80% off coupon codes, but today they went a little crazy and are offering 90% off using code WOW.

Going through Shopathome.com also gets you 50% cash back! So you are almost getting a free coupon to use at a favorite restaurant or try out a new place. This is a big discount on a larger purchase. The certificate alone won’t cover the price of the whole meal, so expect to pay a part of the bill.

You’ll get:

$25 certificates for $2.50 ($1.25 after the cash back)
$10 certificates for $1 (50¢ with cash back)

These certificates never expire & if the restaurant goes out of business you get to pick a new certificate!

    • They’re still showing full price in my cart….I’m confused.  No coupon code to enter….so when does it adjust??

    • Cbwoods907

Mine are showing full price as well….even after I log into my account.  I took it all the way to payment and no price drop.  Is there a  trick?

    • I’m scared to hit the pay button until it shows the discount….I don’t want the full price charged to my card!

      • It was showing the discount, but now they have added a code. Type WOW into the promo code box for the discount.

I tried getting a gift certificate through the website but the price is not reflecting the 90% off. Are you sure you don’t need a code?

      • Ehdaley

        Code is WOW

    • KayDMi

These certificates are OK, I just wanted to make two points. 1. There is a minimum purchase involved, so you must spend at least $35 to use a $25 gift certificate. The big problem is the 18% gratuity which is automatically applied to your bill BEFORE the dis count, so a $40 tab +18%=$47.20. After the certificate at $25, you owe $ 22.20. I realize this is still a pretty good deal, and as an ex-waitress I typically tip pretty well. What bothers me is the automatic 18%. 1) What if the service is horrible? 2) How can anyone know if the tip is going to the wait staff or if this is how the restaurants are making up the difference?

    • Crafty_cat_86

My email said that you had to click through the email to get the savings…

      • Crafty_cat_86

gah!  We crashed it!  Man, I’ve been looking since I got the email too…oh well…guess another server bites the dust!

    • Nancy Bair

Thanks for this!  My very favorite restaurant in Raleigh, NC is one of the participators and I load up on these gift certificates!  If you’re in Raleigh or surrounding areas, try Cafe Capistrano!  It’s amazing food!

    • KayDMi

      $25 Gift Certificate | Your Price $15Must spend $35
+ 18% gratuity before discount, after you spend $35
      $35 + 18% (6.30) = $41.30
      $41.30 + $15 certificate price= $56.30
      $56.30 tab – $25 certificate+$31.30 (inc. tip)
      Savings= $3.70

      • Sierra_26

you get a $25 certificate for $2.50 when you enter WOW in the code box.

      • ladybugtsr

yea – but you don’t but the certificate at $15.  You are buying it for $2.50!  That’s the difference.

    • realitycheck

people, we should have to pay the gratuity on the cost of the bill BEFORE the certificate is applied.  The reason they automatically include it is that some people are cheapskates and would only tip on what the discounted amount is.

    • Ehdaley

You do need a code, wow. It states it up top.

    • Mrsmacphat

Yes it’s going super slow!! :( Does anyone know if this applies to the dinner of the month club also?

    • ladybugtsr

I always use these when they are 80% off and now 90% – GREAT!  I am always eating at Cherry’s.  I get the $10 certificates and go with my kids.  It cost $1 (today) So…

      $20 bill +$3.60 tip – $23.60 – $10.00 = $13.60.

It’s not just a savings of a few dollars.  You have to put a tip anyways – you are saving $9!!!  ($1 for the certificate)  I think that’s wonderful.

    • My email had me go through their link. I got $250 in gift cards for $4.99. Awesome! We love using this site!

    • Does anyone understand the 50% cash back? That threw me for a loop, and never saw it process, but this is still a GREAT deal either way!

      • Samanthadare

I did but my comment has to be approved by a moderator, lol  :)

    • Esyke623

I have never used one of these certificates– can someone tell me how they work?  Is this something that you print off?  How do you tell if a restaurant accepts them?  Thanks!

      • Wwkkss07

You print it off and take it to the restaurant.  It has a phone number and authenticity code on it and the waiter/waitress calls to verify it.  The one I used was $25 off your purchase of $50 or more.  It is before tax/tip and the tip is added in for you in most cases, I believe.

    • Rachelm1205

Diana, we dont have very many restaurants around where i live that accept them either (only 2) but if you are every traveling i suggest checking where you are vacationing etc.  Lots of big cities have restaurants that accept them and thats what we use ours for.  We go to Atlanta twice a year and there are tons of restaurants there that participate.  :) And since they never expire u can use them anytime, anywhere!

    • Knbryan2
