Today through 4/30, using code MEAL you can get 80% off $25 Gift Certificates, Dinner of the Month Club, and $25 Gift Cards at Restaurant.com. They rarely go to 80% off at the beginning of the month, so you should find that stores still have lots of cards in stock and possibly even more options of places!!

Whether you want a cheap lunch or dinner out, or you want to give a general gift certificate for someone else you can get:

$25 dining or gift certificates for $2

$10 dining or gift certificates for .60 cents

Think of them as a $10 off or $25 off coupon. Also note that every store has different requirements. In general though savings $25 off a $35 or $50 meal is still wonderful! Or saving $10 off a $15 meal, no complaints here!!

Note: Each offer has different requirements so make sure you read it before buying.

Go through Ebates and get 15% cashback.

You can also get the discount on Restaurant.com gift certificates if the restaurant that you want isn’t available. Then you can use it to purchase the one you want after they restock them. THis way you can get the discount on the one you want or not have to decide right now which one to get.

If you purchase a gift card for a franchise is it good for any location or only the specific location it gives you?

      • Mealand

good only at the specific location

    • heatherhp

I ordered a while back and have not received my gift card. Do I print it out or is it mailed to you?

      • Nicki

I just ordered and printed $50 worth of certificates for $6 and printed them right away.

2 dates with the hubby… here I come!

      • Jennie

you have to print them out.

    • Jennie

you can also purchase a gift certificate to Restaurant.com if the restaurant you want is out of certificates for the month…then once they have reactivated them at the beginning of the month you can use it to purchase it. THis way you are still getting the discount on the popular restaurants.

Just purchased $175.00 worth of certificates for ……………..$19.00

This is probably a dumb questions, but…how does this work? We're going to Gatlinburg next week and I was thinking this would be a wonderful dinner. The restaurant that we're looking at said that if I ordered a $25 gift certificate that I had to order $35 in food + 18 % gratuity. If I order a $50 it would have to be a $100 order (not going to happen with only 8 people at this restaurant). I'm confused as to whether I should order 2- $25 or 1- $50. So with a $25 certificate I would be paying for the certificate, the $10 balance (if it's under $25) and 18%?

      • Jennie

usually they only let you use one certificate per table. basically it's like a coupon, if you purchase the 50 dollar one you have to spend $100 dollars then they take off $50 of the total bill and add gratuity to the original amount (this is so the servers don't get tipped on the discounted amount).

    • Shirley

I just got 4 $25 certificate for only $8, very nice! Plus, it is to a new fav restaurant too! Thanks Jenny!

    • Amanda

I just got $85 in certificates for $7.80. We're going on our honeymoon in June to St. Augustine, Florida…I got my certificates to use while we're there. We're going to eat well! :-)

I have not had good luck with these. They are only a coupon. Not really a gift certificate. You can save about 15%-20% off at most of the restaurants in my area(once you add up what you actually have to spend to be able to redeem it) using these but there are too many stipulations to make it worth it for me. I find that I end up ordering more just to save. Which is counter productive. I would have spent less just by spending less or not eating out at all:) Thanks jenny for all you do!

    • We have used these several times both here in the Atlanta area as well as in New Orleans. With two adults and two teenagers this really allows us to go out and eat for a reasonable price. We have never had any problem using the certificates. As a good rule of thumb call the resturant before you go and make sure they still honor the certificate.

    • Virginia

I never liked these, but never really thought of them as “coupons” until today. I got $100 worth of certificates for $8. So, in essence we will save $92 on dinners. That's a great deal!

    • AinSC

How do you get them to show up for the savings listed above? When I went to order a $10 certificate, it still showed up as $4 at checkout. I thought it should be 60 cents. Can someone offer some advice to help please? :)

      • Samantha

You need to put “MEAL” in the code box.

    • EKR

Ok… So I'm new to this all and am trying to wrap my head around it… Just to make sure I have this right, you get the “coupon” on that site and say you do $25, then your bill is $30 so you only pay the $5 right?? Sorry lol I know it's dumb and should be clearly evident to me, but humor me please :o) Thanks!

      • fred

no there is a min purchase on most of them. but it is still a great deal, I just got 125 dollars worth of gift cert. For 13 dollars. Each place has a diff min and each value of gift cert has a diff min.

        • EKR

          Thanks Fred. :o)

    • Jessica

thanks to whoever posted this! Just got $75 worth of gift certificates for $6!

      Jenny,

I was able to trade 400 Swagbucks for a $25 gift card for restaurants.com. If paired with the “sale” right now, I will be able to purchase some great gift cards for truly nothing! I am loving swagbucks!!

    • Samantha

Thanks for the post, just got $195.00 worth of certificates for $15.60.

We are leaving for a week long vacation in Myrtle Beach soon. I can't decide if I should purchase some of these or not. I think I'm understanding how they work. But does anyone know where I could find some good discounts for Myrtle Beach? We are traveling on a very tight budget! I feel sure I could find an answer here! Southersavers is such a money saver for me! Thanks!

      • AshleyQ

Hi Farming Mama! I can't be of much help on Myrtle Beach specifically, however, my DH and I have purchased these a few times for when we are traveling. Some times we use them sometimes we don't. The times we don't we just call to get them traded in for something else before they expire.

      • Kevin

I live in Myrtle Beach. Go for Luigi's, Thoroughbreds, or The Library. The rest are either too far away or not worth it. Have a good time on you vacation here.

    • nick

I started to get one of these recently, but as a got further into the process I saw that they ask for a lot of personal info. Don't know if they sell your info off. But wasn't sure I wanted to tell them that much about myself, especially with my credit card info attached. what do you think?

I bought several coupons for a local restaurant, Osaka Sushi Bar, and they said they are no longer taking the coupons because restaurant.com will not pay them for the gift certificates. Several people came in after me with coupons that they had bought and could not use them as well. Too good to be true!!
