After taking a few years off, I decided it’s time to dust off Friday Finals and start to show each week what we bought and how much we saved.  This is also your chance to share too!  Leave a comment below with your top deals or savings for the week or leave a link to your blog post sharing your savings.  Everyone enjoys a chance to share and others enjoy the chance to see what deals they may have missed.

This week I went big and hit 4 stores (that’s a very are anomaly for me).  I shared the top deals of what we got in a video yesterday, so for today I’ll just share totals.  If you are curious on coupon match ups for items… everything I got is either on the Southern Savers weekly ad list or unadvertised list for each store.  If I’m going to take the time to make match ups on Southern Savers I might as well use them!

Our first stop was Target. I didn’t get anything grocery related so it doesn’t really apply to this part of our budget, but… I did knock out gifts for all of our big girls birthdays. DO NOT miss the 70% toy clearance they started this week! We got 5 different lego friends sets that were all around $7 (reg. $30+ each), and also got a few smaller items that will be perfect birthday party gifts.

publix deals

Publix:

Total Value Purchased: $72.49
Total Saved: $42.77
Total Spent: $29.72

Not pictured are 4 disposable baking pans that were on sale $2 for each 2 pk.  I keep a stock of these so we are set to take meals to folks that need them.

bi-lo deals 1-8

Bi-Lo:

Total Value Purchased: $194.26
Total Saved: $89.09
Total Spent: $105.17

This included a $50 Shell Gas Station Gift Card that I’m removing from our total grocery budget below.  Gas is a different category in our budget whether we purchase gift cards before going or just pay at the pump.  If you don’t take advantage of gas gift card deals in the grocery store you are missing out!

CVS:

Total Value Purchased: $112.21
Total Saved: $105.83
Total Spent: $6.38

ECB Remaining: $23

I didn’t take a picture of this trip as the table was already a little full… but you can see all the stuff we got in yesterday’s video.

Between these trips we also earned money back from rebates and apps also.  Some of these are super fast and are already back in the bank account, one will take a bit as a mail in rebate.  I count any that are back this week as not coming out of the grocery budget, however the long waiting rebates we wait on to count back into available funds.

SavingStar earnings: $10.44 (already deposited)
Snap by Groupon: $1
Ibotta: 50¢
Checkout51: $1
Mail-in-Rebate: $3.14

Weekly Grocery Budget Totals:

Total Value Purchased: $328.93
Total Saved: $248.13
Total Spent: $80.80

Rebates Waiting: $5.64

We aim for an average of $50 per week on groceries, so we are bit over for the week, but this is the first trip we’ve made for the year so we aren’t too off track for the month.
