I was going to skip this week but Im loving the John Freida deal! So a quick stop wont hurt ;)

      • ZJ

Shouldn't we end up making more money off the John Frieda deal than what was posted?  It doesn't look like 50% was taken off the 2nd item.

        • couponinginatl

That is exacly what I was going to post about now when I was making my list it doesnt add up. You're right we would by using the 5off coupon :)

That is not a good idea. You will be basically giving false input to a store that you have never seen nor even heard about.

    • AaralynandCartersmommy

Can someone help me understand how Rite Aid works?  I dont usually shop drug stores.  What is +up?  Example: $2 +UP WYB Pampers Diapers or Easy Ups Jumbo Packs at $8.97.  Is it a in store credit type coupon or does the $2 come off the total.  I have a $5 off pampers coupon so I want to know how this works.  Thanks!!

      • DMH61976

iF THE ITEM IS 2.99 YOU PAY 2.99 BUT THEY GIVE YOU A COUPON TO BUY ANYTHING ELSE IN THE STORE. CVS AND WALGREENS DOES THAT TO.

        • DMH61976

IF YOU BUY 5 FOR INSTANCE YOU PAY THAT FULL 2.99 BUT YOU GET BACK 10.00 (2UPX5) KIND OF A STORE CREDIT

      • DMH61976

ALSO THEY WILL TAKE THE 5.OO COUPON AT TIME OF PURCHASE AND U STILL GET THE 2.00 UP. ALSO IF THEY HAVE ANY TYPE PAMPERS COUPON U CAN USE THE STORE AND THE MANUFACTOR COUPON AT SAME TIME

      • AM

There's a Rite Aid Getting Started Guide at the top of this site.

      • DMH61976

cAN I ASK WHERE U GOT YOUR $5 OFF COUPON FROM?

        • ChrissyPunkin

I have a friend who said she got some $5 diaper coupons when she had her baby, either from the doctor or the hospital.

        • AaralynandCartersmommy

I got a pack of diapers that was defective.  I called to complain b/c they were ripped and folded over.  It was a waste of money since I couldn't use them.  They sent me a prepaid envelope to send some of the diapers back in.  Then once I did that they sent me several $5 off coupons.  I'm trying to get the best use out of them.

      • Jamitim

the up rewards are printed after your first purchase to use on your next transaction. So if you pay 8.97 and use 5.00 Q then you will pay 3.97 and the register will print $2 up reward for next transaction.

      • Katkoupon

Your transaction would be: Pampers $8.97 less your $5 coupon, so you'd pay $3.97 +tax oop, then get back a $2+up on your receipt. The +up reward is like a coupon, almost like cash, that is good towards your next purchase of most anything (certain exclusions like gift cards, tobacco, alcohol, etc.). You could take that $2 and buy something you need, like more diapers, newspapers, or even something else that will generate more +ups. Jenny has a great link up top when you have time to read, it's Rite Aid Getting Started Guide. hth and good luck!

        • Katkoupon

guess i should've refreshed before i replied, didn't know you already had so many responses!

        • ChristiPie

Great!  Thanks! I found the getting started guide.  I have one more question.  If I got a pack of diapers and used the $5 coupon.  When the $2+up prints can I turn around and use that along with another $5 coupon on another pack of diapers?  That would make the pack only $1.97!!!

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

yes, and this is what is called smart shopping.  You may want to become more creative and smarter and buy some product that would generate 100% or close to 100% UP reward $1 or $2. So you might end up paying NOT even $1.97 for the second diaper. I can think of

buy Oral B for 2.57, use $2 coupon, owe 57 cents and get extra $2 UP that you can combine for your second diaper. Thus, you just paid 57 cents instead of $1.97 from your pocket for your second diaper and even got a brush for free. Though, you might need a small filler item to bring your total up to use the maximum amount of UP reward. RA does not adjust UP reward value down

The Hershey’s Reese’s peanut butter cups vv is actually .50/2, not .50/1.

    • Salovescb

      Quick question.

FOr this product, $2 +UP WYB Colgate 360 Surround Manual Toothbrush 1 ct., at $2.99 LIMIT 4

If I buy 4 of them in one transaction will $8 +UPs print out, or would I have to do them all in Different transactions?

      Thank you!

      • Jo

You can do all in one transaction.  The receipt will print out 4 separate $2 UP+

    • Birgit Gilbert

so is the Nivea deal still on? :)

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

The $40 +UP is 100 days. So it's not even just a month long one, it ends at the beginning of October.

    • Couponstef

I usually shop at Walgreens but am thinking of trying Rite Aid this week.  I read Jenny's Rite Aid Getting Started Guide about Single Check Rebates and it says you can use coupons and still get the full rebate amount.  I am curious if you use UP rewards to lower the OOP, will you still get the full rebate amount?  Thanks for the help.  :)

      • Lisabluedevil

        Yes.

    • Natalie

Hi everyone :)  I have never shopped at Rite Aid, so I have a question about the UP credits. Is there a waiting period to use the UP credits? Meaning can I use the UP credits the same day on another transaction? Thanks :)

      • Lisabluedevil

You can use it the same day.

      • Atlantamomoftwo

Yeah, you can stand at the register and do back-to-back transactions if you want, using the UPs you just earned. :)

    • Sarah

sorry for the somewhat out of place comment, but dont know where else to post. I just moved to another city in an apartment and have no idea about how newspapers work with that..can you still get newspapers delivered to an apartment? I'm asking because I've never seen anyone with a newspaper on their porch here so I wasn't sure how to find that out. I also dont know what newspaper for my area has inserts, if any. I live half way in between two major cities (an hour each way) so I didnt know if it's possible to get one of those delivered here..the ones I've seen being sold in the stores dont have inserts. Basically, is there a site which will tell you all this information?

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Most newspapers will deliver to any address you give them. Just call the one you want delivered and ask for a home delivery to be set up.

        • Sarah

ok thanks, if only I knew which ones delivered that have inserts since the ones I've seen in stores didnt have inserts

          • Vanessa

I live in an apartment building and they deliver right to my door. Also call the biggest newspapers and ask them  if they have coupon inserts and if so will they deliver to your address. You could also post which cities you live between and there is probably someone on here who could give you alot more specific details and help you better. Good luck couponing!

      • NancyMac

I live in a condo building and they lay newspaper on the mat in front of my door.

      • charlie

at p&g solutions you can look up where to get their coupons. http://www.pgeverydaysolutions.com/pgeds/brandsaver-coupons.jsp

Also, I live on the third floor and they deliver a paper to me. I also was able to go on the paper’s website and sign up for 3 free weeks of the paper before paying for anything, you may want to check that out.

    • Leanne

How do single check rebates work? Never used that before.

      • Sara

You have to create an account on their website, be aware, it is seperate from the normal Rite Ait account on their home page.  You have to follow a link specifically to a Single Check Rebate sign on page.  You should put every receipt you get from Rite Aid in there for processing because sometimes there're rebates on stuff that aren't posted.  Then, once a month, you can have the rebate check mailed to you.

    • Brooke

Does Rite Aid bill the manufacturer of the product for the +UP reward?  I'm asking because a few weeks back I bought some Renpure conditioner.  It was on sale for $4.99 with a $4.99 +UP (so it was free).  There was also a “Try it Free” rebate tag on the item.  The tag did say “Not combined with other offers” but I figured that meant “Renpure offers” not Rite Aid offers.  They denied me my rebate.  After a few emails one of Renpure's reps stated that they actually pay for the +UP reward (not Rite Aid), and so basically they have already paid for me to try the item for free.  I honestly didn't care to make money on the deal, but decided that since I've never done a “money maker” I'd try it out.  It was also my first time dealing with a mail-in rebate (so annoying to have to give them my original receipt, I had nothing to show as evidence once questions of it came up).
But I was just curious, is it true what they said?  Does the manufacturer pay for the +UP reward?  UH, that's kinda crazy if they do.  Because it's for future store credit, not specifically to be spent on that product again.  Anyone know?

      • ChrissyPunkin

Yes, the manufacturer pays for the +up rewards.  They pay for the video values also.  I guess you could think of the +up reward as an instant rebate.  Also, you should make a copy of your receipt before you send it off for a rebate.  Some stores can print you a duplicate receipt when you check out.  I've never tried that at Rite Aid, though.

        • Jimandrachael10

Interesting… but why do they let you use a Video Value coupon with a MQ?  Wouldn't that be the Manuf. paying both?

          • ChrissyPunkin

That's just Rite Aid's policy.  I hope they never change it!  And yes, the manufacturer pays both.

      • swaltz

i tried it too – oh well – i thought it meant combined with rite aid – wasted 50 cents to mail it in

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

How did they know it was offering Up reward that week?  It does not show on purchase receipt if you have received any UP for it. Unless they are more careful and strict about rebates and sales, I do not see why they would refuse it arbitrarily

    • Natalie

If I purchase (2) ProGlide Razors in one transaction will I get (2) $5 UP's?

      Also, If I purchase 6 John Frieda products (3 limit) will i get (3) $5 UP's?

I guess what i'm asking is, do I have purchase each product separately to gain the UP's?

      • Atlantamomoftwo

You can buy them together in one transaction. Multiple UPs will print together. Two weeks ago I bought two Tom's of Maine toothpaste and two $1 UPS printed.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

You get UPs separately from each other in the same transaction.  This is a great advatage over CVS where CVS adds the limit up together in one extrabuck if items bought in one transaction.  Larger ups/ecbs make it harder to use them if your total is gonna be a smaller amount than the reward

    • Rachel

How do the Single Check Rebates work? If I buy the Oral-B toothbrush that's $4.99 originally, and use a $2 off coupon to pay $2.99…is the rebate check I get for $2.99 spent or for the $4.50 it advertises in the list?

      • Julie

Mine have always been for the full price of the product (the 4.50 advertised in this case).  It is an easy way to make money and to turn your UPs into cash.

      • sarah

i tried doing one and they told me they couldn't find any records of my purchase, even though i am 100% sure i entered the correct info. online.

        • Guest

if you are 100% sure then call customer service, they can look into it

    • Iesha

Don't forget to use those 3 off 15 dollar coupons when make purchases.

      • ChrissyPunkin

I'm not getting those codes any more. :-(

    • Sarah

The summer's eve is B1G1 free, and there is a $2 off 2 coupon, but she said to use (2) 75 cent coupons instead. is that because you cant use a $2 off coupon on B1G1 free?

      • Sarah

okay now I see she only used (1) 75 cent off coupon so I guess that means rite aid will only let you use 1 coupon on B1G1

        • Vanessa

Rite Aid will let you use 2 coupons for B1G1 as long as the B1G1 is the sale then you can use a coupon on each item you purchased.

          • guest

That is incorrect.  On a B1G1 Free Sale you are only allowed to use one cents off coupon.

    • Marta

okay, so, i dont understand how she got 72 cents on the rite aid maxi pads, if you buy 1, at 2.30, and get $2.00 up, wouldn't that make it 30 cents?

      • Sarah

guess theres a lot of sarah's on here! and good question, I had to look at the ad and I'm doing this deal..its $2 up when you buy 2, not just 1. and they are b1g1 50% off..so 2.30 + 1.15=3.45 and get 2 UP back..so it makes it 72 cents for each of the two

    • Khjbcouons

i just finished cutting the p and g coupons from the atlanta sunday
newspaper.. early edition. quite frankly.. there is not a lot to be had
.. most of the coupons are duplicates of the ones we already have..maybe
one or two have a different value but not often or by much.. i MAY go
in the morning to get the final edition so that i have a set of 2 on the
new coupons.. and sometimes the final edition will have a little
something different in the parade magazine.. doesnt looks like a lot of
gotta have it deals in any of the drug stores or grocery stores this
week.. gonna be a slow week for couponing.. what ever shall i do.. the
laundry,.. cook .. clean out closets..

    • Janice

There is a $1off 2 colgate toothbrush coupon  that were sold at the Riteaid registers that expires on 7/31/2011, I think it was the coupons to help CMN there were 8 coupons on the page.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I thought they were free to pick. There were few at Pharamcy counter at one store and another store/pharmacy was clueless about it

    • Sarah

where can i find a “get more from your pharmacy” booklet?

    • Hayzellynn

if anyone has the $3 off $15 survey code that you don't need, please email me at hayzellynn@yahoo.com . Thank you.

      • Ummguilty

I don;t have a code but I just wanted to say my name is Hazel Lynn. Good name lol

      • Jo

You aren't allowed to use other people's $3 off code.  Rite-Aid uses people's feedback to improve their store experience for customers.  You would be giving a false feedback to the store when you didn't even go to the store for the $3 code…  I wish people couponed in a legitimate way… because the more and more loophole people find the more irritated the stores and companies get.

If you really need a dollar off coupon, you can print $5 off of $25 purchase on rite-aid website.  It was a pretty nice surprise for me, when I logged onto my account it showed me a link for the coupon! I used it today at Rite Aid, bought $107 pantenes, old spice, tampons, toothpastes for oop of $11 with $20 UP+ & $4.50 SCR back.  All without asking other people for $3 off coupon.

No offense to you, but just letting you know that asking other people for $3 off $15 purchase is fraudulent…

        • Vanessa

Many people here are new to the coupon world and it is very insulting and discouraging to make comments like that. This is supposed to be a friendly site where everyone can help each other and share our savings. Instead, with this post you have shamed her for even asking the question and then bragged and how good your savings were. Next time a simple explanation that that is not allowed and why would have sufficed.

          • Jo

I'm not sure what part of my comment you were so offended… I wasn't trying to offend anyone, I was trying to explain why it is not allowed… Especially when somebody else has already explained to someone else way below about this.

What comment I made that made you so offended? I wasn't even bragging about my savings, I was telling her that if she really needed the coupon she can get the $5 off of $25 on the rite-aid website, and that the $5 off coupon was very helpful to me in achieving my savings today.  There are way more people here that always comments saying what items they have received, which coupons they used, and how much they paid.  Am I not allowed to say this??

Well sorry for letting her know that it is fraudulent and telling here where to go look for that extra coupon.

            • sacredstream

I signed onto the website and couldn't find the $5 off coupon, is there a certain section of the website? I wonder if it's a regional thing, I live in the northeast. I'd love to get that coupon!

            • Dianne L

I think it's the one that you get when you first get going with the Wellness Program.

    • K D011face

My RA had Garnier hair products on sale for 2.99  (no UPS or anything).  Also, the Crest #D Whitestrips “Vivid” are 31.79 at CVS but are 29.99 at RA.  The Venus Embrace and Venus Pro Skin razors are 9.97 – $5 UP…Venus 3pk disposables are 6.99 – $2 UP.  The L'oreal Everpure/Eversleek/Everstrong hair care is also $10 UPS wyb $30… in my store, they were 5.99 ea.. I bought 5 of them, used (3) $1 coupons, and (2) $2 coupons, my total came to $29.95 so I'm a bit irritated w/ their “5.99” price instead of flat $6 price which would have given me the $30 to get the  $10 UPS, now I gotta go buy something else just because of that missing 5 cents to get my $10 UPS! LoL

    • couponinginatl

The john Freida was 6.99 at my store so with the 5 off coupon I paid 1.49 for 6 of them and got back (3) 5Up's= 15! wooooo talk about a money maker!!! :)

    • Mcleodsc

A so so trip today. I tried to get the monthly rebate booklet yesterday but they did not have it yet or so they said. So I buy The State this AM and guess what-no Rite-aid sales paper. So I arrived at Rite-aid with a few coupons I matched up on line. I did  not really have a list because I did not have the sales paper until I got to the store. Then NO SIGNS AT 11:00. I wasted so much time in there trying to make up scenerios. I finally just gave up and purchased the 3 items I did find with the help of one of their employees. I told the cashier I would return when they had the signs up.

      • Guest

why not look at the scenarios on here, or you can look at your local ad online. but I agree it can be frustrating with no signs

      • Debko

RA has not had an ad in the Sunday paper for several months.  Jenny does a really good job of letting us know all of the good deals.  It's easy to create a shopping list by reading her posts.

The RA I shop at very rarely has their new ad tags up by Sunday morning.  It takes them a couple of days to get all the tags on the shelves.  Ask your manager or Assistant manager I'm sure they'd be happy to help you find the items you're looking for.

      • guest

I go to the Rite Aid in Watkinsville,GA and they put thier signs up Saturday night (the day before the sale) and usually have most of them up by the morning. Its nice because I can just go in in the morning and easily find what I need and they are always very helpful! Just an FYI.

    • Mechols56

I cannot find the John Freida coupon in SS 6/05. Is it in there?

      • I remember during this week, this was def a regional, not everyone got this one.  I did (used it at CVS) it was a small coupon directly across from the 2 q.

    • guest

People, Just an FYI don't be disappointed when you go into Rite Aid and you try to use the $5 John Freida Coupon on the shampoo or conditioner and your cashier turns you down.  The coupon is for John Frieda Full Repair treatment, styler or finisher.  These items are 9.99.  It is still a good deal if you buy these items because they are BOGO 50% off so $15 for 2 minus 2 $5 coupons and then you get a $5 +up reward making them both Free in the end.  The shampoo or conditioner is 6.99.  Purchasing two of these items would be $10.50 minus 2 $2 coupons bringing your total to $6.50 and then you get a $5 +up reward making it $1.50 for both in the end.

      • couponinginatl

The Full Repair Root Lifter is 6.99 also which would make them .49 for two and its is one of the products that can be used with the 5off coupon

        • guest

Awesome….Sorry about that….they only 9.99 items in my store.  They must have a smaller set.  Thanks for the info!!!

          • couponinginatl

            YW! ;)

      • I've used the $5 Q on the shampoos and conditioner before, But not at riteaid, I just thought it included it, I've never had one beep when it rang up.  Has anyone had a problem yet with this?

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

It was wrong. Coupons go through without beep as long as it is for the same brand. That does not mean such coupons can be used for any variety not specified on coupon.

        • Kristin

I contacted JF about this. The coupons are not to include shampoo and conditioner.  However, they will scan. And the verbage really isn't clear.  I think a lot of the coupons have been used on shampoo and conditioner by unknowing consumers.  Shame on JF.

          • Dharvn

we didn't get the $5 jf cpn in our area, so i used the $2 cpns. here's my transaction:

            1 john frieda $6.49
            1 john frieda $3.24
            2 oral b adv toohbrushes $2.57 each
1 angel soft bath tissue 4roll on clearance $1.19
            subtotal = $16.06
            – $3/$15 survey cpn
            – 2 x $2/1 john frieda
            – 2 x $2/1 oral b adv toothbrush
            – $5 ups (from gillette pro razor purchase earlier this week)
            subtotal = $.06
            + $.91 tax
total oop = $.97 (rec'd $5 +up and another code for survey cpn)

*already received +ups for the toothbrushes earlier this week.

      • Jazzhands

I got the full repair root lifting mousse for $6.99 and then got the second mousse for $3.49 used my two $5 coupons and paid $.48 (before tax) and got my $5 up reward. Now the Loreal cosmetic one not so easy. Evidently you have to get to the $15 after coupons…thought this was odd!

    • Guest

will rite aid still honor a SCR if there were no products and you had to get a raincheck?

      • Debko

When you purchase the item with your raincheck the cashier will need to hit the 'raincheck' key on the register.  Wait a couple of days, and If it does not show up in your SCR account then do a quick IM conversation with RA Customer Service.

        • Guest

          thanks

      • guest

Yes.  All you have to do is call the phone number on the rebate book and they will process it for you over the phone.  It won't be the first time they've done it or the last.  Just give them a call after you purchase the item and they will ask for the receipt information and process the check for you.

    • Jazzhands

Can someone clarify the Loreal Cosmetic up rewards deal? I was told that I had to reach $15 AFTER coupons? Really?

      • Debko

All deals are the total BEFORE you use your coupons.

    • Meesh

just an AWESOME trip at rite aid!
      pantene conditioner 3.50
      pantene shampoo 3.50 (- $3/2 2, + $2 UPS)
      colgate 360 surround toothbrush (- $.40, + $2 UPS)
      colgate 360 surround toothbrush (- $.40, + $2 UPS)
      oral b pulsar toothbrush (- $3 coup, + $4.50 SCR)
      had a $3 off 15 survey coupon, the video $1 coupon, & $4 UPS

Paid $4.77, getting $4.50 back in the SCR. paying $0.27 for all this? yes ma'am and/or sir! (and i know that i can get shampoo & conditioner cheaper, but i prefer pantene, and $1 each is a good deal for that brand)

      • Meesh

whoops. meant -$2 off the pulsar!

    • Sharris1659

I was in Rite Aid this morning while someone from the paper was picking up the Sunday papers that were left over.  He and the store manager were talking about where the papers should be placed when I heard the manager say something about their having some “crazy couponers.”  I laughed and told her I took exception to that.  (I mean, I was standing right there with my coupon book spread across the back of my cart!)  The manager explained that they were discussing a customer who would come in on Sundays, and while stooping to get a paper out of the rack, would open other papers and take out all the coupons, which meant others coming in to get a paper would not have the coupons.  This tops tearing off too many coupons on a store display, and even pulling the coupons off items on the shelves!  I'm glad the manager knows all couponers aren't like that.  Their solution, she explained, is that from now on, the papers will be behind the counter.

The Pulsar isn't considered a battery powered toothbrush, to the best of my knowledge. I know it has a battery, but it isn't actually in the same category. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the best coupon that is meant for that the Oral B Pulsar is the $2 MQ.

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

Pulsar is a battery TB-it also says on it

        • Mary

My $2 MQ says Pulsar Manual Toothbrush.  The Pulsar is a battery toothbrush.

      Breaking News !!!!!!!

Rite Aid has filed for bankruptcy two months ago for fact. Gossip is that some RA stores are being taken over by Wags and others by CVS. Gradually, RA will probably be a history leaving just two large drug chains CVS and Wags

      • Meesh

where did you read this? i just did a google search, and the most recent news I could find on this was from December 2010.

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

          CVS and RA employees

          • dakota8711

Make sure your facts are right now! Where did you get your information?

      • guest

That is False!!!  Rite Aid isn't going anywhere…those are just rumors.

    • ChristiPie

If I get a pack of Pampers and get a $2 +up can I turn around and use it on another pack of pampers?  The limit is 2.  Thanks.

      • ChrissyPunkin

        Yes. :-)

    • Disneytink05

I used the 1.00 off Tampax and it has the two dollar rewards. Ended up being 2.79. Then I bought 3 Gatorade's ( on sale for .88 cents) I had a one dollar off Gatorade when you buy three. Used the 2$ up and got back .6 cents!

    • C_hakes

What is the Smart Savings Booklet?  Where can I get one?  My husband's doctor wants him to eat more almonds.  :)

      • Qponnana

Yes, i would like to know where to get one also, Birmingham, Al area

      • ChrissyPunkin

You can get one at Publix.  It has store and manu. coupons.

    • Couponkristi1

I was in Rite Aid this morning and the manager almost didn't take my (2) BOGO coupons for Gillette Body Wash. He said that RIte Aid and CVS were no longer allowing this because of coupon fraud. He said the announcement was on the news this weekend. Has anyone else heard about this? CVS didnt' seem to have any problem taking both of my coupons.

      • Sarah

their policy changed a few weeks ago, you can click the coupon policy at the top of this page

      • guest

That is false.  Rite Aid will accept the BOGO Free coupons as long as you are not using them on a BOGO Free sale.  You can also use a cents off coupon for the first item in that situation making it an even better deal.  For Example, the BOGO coupon that you have is probably when you buy the deodorant you get the body wash free.  So you would use the coupon to make the body wash free and then you could use the $2 off coupon on the deodorant making it $2 out of pocket and then get back $2 +up reward making them both free after coupons and rewards. Unless you only have the $1 coupon so it would be a $1 after all coupons and rewards.

    • Just4yall

5UPS WYB 2 Jergens is a money maker if your store carries the tril sizes. In the ad is says 2-7.2oz. Th 2 oz at my store was $2.49 per so = free when you buy 2 or print off $1 off coupon and you make $2.
