Store Logo

Surprise it’s another crazy week at Rite Aid! I know it’s not a surprise. Again this week there appear to be no short and long ad differences, but as always check your ad before shopping.

**Skim over the list and print any Video Values on Saturday that you need.  The coupons will be replaced with new coupons on Sunday.**

Update:  Rite Aid pulled all $5 off $25 coupons.  Comments that are linking or hinting to sites where versions are saved will be deleted.  If a store pulls a coupon, versions saved by other bloggers are not magically “still okay”.  We can find ways to save money without pushing the limits on ethics.

If you see any other coupons or deals leave a comment below and I’ll update the list.

    • Laurisa Clay

The $5 off $25 is coming up blank when I click on the pdf?

      • Ajblackmon

i thought maybe it was just me!!!

        • Darla

According to couponsdealsandmore(.)com, Rite Aid pulled the coupon a few days after releasing it. The lady that runs the site saved the coupon as a PDF and has offered to email it to anyone that didn't save it. HTH

          • Shelby

Darla… I went to her website and can't figure out where to leave my email? Does anyone here have a pdf?

            • Darla

Shelby, she has a contact me link in the upper right hand corner of the page. That's what I used. She emailed me the coupon. Make sure it's the right site: couponsdealsandmore(.)com. HTH

          • Guest

The $5 off $25 coupons that expire 10/31 and 11/30 beep “Item Not Found” when they are scanned. Some cashiers will put the coupon in manually, but others will not. I have not heard anything about RA issuing anything to their stores about not taking them.

            • Darla

Yes, I'm hoping the cashier puts them through at my store since they are legitimate Rite Aid coupons. I plan to try to use one tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what happens. It doesn't make sense for RA to release the coupon for just a couple days and then pull it. I'm just thankful I found someone that saved it and was able to have it emailed to me.

            • guest

              it wont work

            • RL

If I use my up rewards to buy the same product will I still get more up rewards back or is it like Walgreen's? Thank you

            • Fallaya

Yes, you should get more rewards. It's not like Walgreens.

    • lovingcoupons

I have a question on the NYC cosmetics. If I have the B1G1 coupon can I use that one to get all two products free or how does that work?? Thank you.

    • Marissa

Please re-post the $5 off $25. It is not coming through.

    • Klynn

Does anyone know if there is a limit on the $10 +up on the gillette or bayer wyb $30?

    • Kcmarkham57

Could the 5/25 coupon be emailed to me? Where do I need to leave my email?

    • elizabeth

why drop HEB from your list? It is our favorite store in Texas. Everyone i know shops there. Maybe i am doing something wrong when it comes to kroger, but i still get items cheaper at HEB than when i go to kroger with coupons. am i missing something? i have watched your videos and read everything on this website (which i love by the way).

      • Sm7212

It is under the OTHER tab at the top. I love her website too.

    • Christinescoupon

HI I was wondering if you all could help me. I found a 5 off 25 that exp 12/31 how do I know if it is legit? I don't want to use something that is not right. The place I found it also said it was a multiple use coupon and that you know that because the bar code ends in the exp date. Does all that sound right? Bc also on the print the last line says one coupon per customer but I never read the other ones do they all say that? Any help is appreciated!

      • Kelbob6

I printed the coupon that expires 11/30 before they pulled it. It would not work when I tried to use it yesterday and the cashier would not push it through. The coupon that expires on 12//31 worked without a problem.

      • Bev

The only RA coupons I've printed with the expiration of 12/31 came off Red Plum. Those are still perfectly legitimate coupons and should work fine for you.

        • Christinescoupon

I found this one on another sight I don’t believe it came from Red Plum I think after reading everyone else’s comments it must not be good. :-( I like those darn coupons haha really makes me feel like I am doing a good job at this …oh well thanks for your help!

    • sarahinNC

Where is the $2 Quaker coupon? I clicked the link but don't know where to go from there. Thanks for any help!

      • Mary S

I got it last week by going to quakeroats.com, typing in “coupon” in the search box, and then it was the first link that came up. Don’t know if that will still work, but you could try.

    • Abergynolwynn

Looking at the several RA VV q's that expire ON 10/23. Are they listed as a YMMV on expired coupon acceptance? Is there precedence or anything in their policy?

      • Phyllis

The RA VV coupons don't expire until later in Nov. You just won't be able to access them after 10/23 on the adperks site.

        • WynetteC

I think Abergynolwynn might be referring to the Video Value coupons we earned in September. Those do have an expiration date of Oct. 23. And Jenny uses some of those coupons in her above selections. That also confuses me wondering how we would be able to use them on the new sale that starts on the 24th.

          • Abergynolwynn

Yes. I do mean those RA VV earned in Sept.

            • Carra

I just rechecked all the VV coupons in the list and all of them are October coupons that have to be watched by 10/23 but can be printed and used until 11/27. Even though Jenny has print by 10/23 after them, it’s actually view by 10/23. There are none in the list from September’s VV coupons. Those all expire on 10/23.

    • Kimichaelb

Where do I get the Clip and save book for rite aid? I ask the store clerk and he said they did not have anything like that.

      • Marlenecu

According to my Rite Aid, you are only supposed to get the clip & save book if you get a flu shot. Some stores did not realize that when they first received them and gave them out randomly. If your store does not give flu shots, they probably never got the books.

        • Carra

Actually, on the radio ads and emails about the flu booklet, it says “no purchase required to receive the booklet”. So, if you ask for one at the pharmacy, they have to give you one if they have them. Unless they’re going to give you a free flu shot, they cannot require you to make a purchase, i.e. pay for a flu shot, in order to get the booklet.

    • Nichols_again

I can't ever get to an Oatmeal coupon

      • Myracash66

I cna never get it either. :(

    • Myracash66

What zip for the NYC Color Product? Thanks!

      • Crazycouponer5

        i used 29630

    • Rachel

Can anyone help with the $2 oatmeal coupon? I don't see it on the link provided.

      • gardengirl

The $2 oatmeal q was issued for one day only a couple of weeks ago. I think it was from the Red Plum daily deal.

    • WynetteC

Okay Jenny, I am confused. How do I use the $4off Aveeno Rite Aid Store coupon that expires 10/23 if the sale starts on Sunday 10/24? Do they start their ads early like CVS at 6pm on Saturday evening? Or do they take a store coupon after it has expired? How are you figuring using this into the scenario?

Thanks in advance for whoever can explain this! :)

      • lovingcoupons

You must have printed your Aveeno coupon a while back because I just printed mine about two days ago and it doesn't expire until 11/27/10. That is why I don't print my VV until I need them.

        • WynetteC

I am trying to put 2 and 2 together here. I am guessing, Jenny is actually meaning the $4 off link to say it is unavailable after 10/23. If that is the case, then I understand the scenario.

I have just now looked through my Video Values from September which are still available for me to print until tonight I guess since they expire (10/31) at midnight, and I do not see Aveeno in my September list. I think this is just a misunderstanding in “wording”. I do have the October Aveeno $4 Rite Aid Store Coupon in my list that I can print from the site, but it doesn't expire until Nov. 27. Big difference in wording and a bit confusing.

Maybe it could be a suggestion to put “Unavailable after 10/23”.

          • barbara

the Sept V V expire today 10/23. The Oct V V expire 11/27 but you must watch and save by 10/23 as the Nov V V start on 10/24 and will expire in Dec.

      • Katkoupon

You just have to watch that video by 10/23, then it will be saved under “My Rewards”, and there it will stay until expiration 11/27 or you print. 10/24 starts a new “month” of RA videos, and any you don't watch before the new videos are available are lost.

    • Nichols_again

I'm also looking for the Oatmeal coupon. I can pull up the link just fine, I just can't find the coupon

    • guest

Regarding the $5 off of $25..I called Rite Aid 3 days ago and asked the man who answered the phone if they were pulling these coupons and if they could be used or not. He told me that he had heard nothing about not being able to use them. So why are people saying that we can not use them? Was there something issued that I missed? If anyone knows the answer, please shed light on this as I don't want to be using something that has not been okayed by the company.

      Thanks!

      • Corporate has deactivated the coupons in the computer system and is no longer offering them on Rite Aid hosted servers (the only legitimate place to find pdf coupons is on the original stores site).

If you try to use them in the store they will beep and not go through. While a cashier may force it through, Rite Aid has tried everything they can do make the coupons no longer active and acceptable.

        • Erin

Thanks for the clarification. I wouldn't have known about the $5/$25 coupon without your work on this site.

        • munckin74

Does that mean the old Red Plum printables ($5/$25) from a few months ago that don't expire until Dec 31st are void as well? I held on to mine to use later this year, but don't want to do something that I shouldn't!! Thanks in advance!!

          • The redplum printables were all individual use so they should still work without beeping at all. The one's that were pulled were the pdf versions that all have the same bar codes.

So if you printed those from Redplum last month and saved them you are good.

            • Rachel MacLeod

Thank you so much for responding to this question, Jenny. I had the same ? I appreciate your clarifying this. I will still be going to Rite Aid to get my $25 worth today!

Your website and your hard work is a blessing to me and my family. Thank you, sincerely. :o)

            • Fallaya

Will they honor ANY 5/25 VV coupons that were saved under the “Rewards” tab on the VV website? I have one that I have not printed yet.

            • grace

yes Fallaya, and you better print it today because, after today, they 'disappear' and the November ones are posted

          • Aminehdestin

Those still work. As do the VV coupons. Only the PDF coupons have been deleted from the system.

        • Melissa

I'm disappointed in Rite Aid for putting out a coupon and then deactivating it. I think they are the ones who deserve the ethics lecture instead of the customers who printed them out from the RA website and are legitimately trying to use them. Reminds me of Colgate's $1.50 coupon a while back.

    • Michelle

I was able to print off a form (I think at coupons.com) for a $10 rebate by mail when you purchase $30 worth of 3 of the following brands: Aveeno, Clean & Clear, Lubriderm, Purpose, or ROC between 9/20/2010 and 10/31/2010 and send in postmarked by 11/14/2010. This might help the Aveeno and Roc deal be a bit sweeter…

    • Coupons777

Anyone found Quaker coupon yet? I never can find any with the links.

      • Bev

That was a deal of the day on Red Plum a few weeks back. It was gone pretty quickly.

    • Christine Le

so does that mean the $25 coupon from video is not working anymore? and the $4 off $20 too??

      • Bev

No, they should still honor all the Video Value and Red Plum $5/25 coupons. Just not the pdf file ones.

        • Fallaya

Says who?? Did RA specifically say they would not honor the PDF coupons?

          • Kathleen

it beeps when you try to use it, and it won't go through

            • Fallaya

              Thanks Kathleen!

    • Erin

Not a great week in my opinion. Who has 6 Alka Seltzer Qs other someone who uses it regularly? To me, it doesn't make sense to buy the Qs unless you truly need that much of the product. Profit's nice, but buying Qs solely to work deals in which you get store Qs in return seems like a bit of a hassle–and you're stuck storing (or donating) the product. Plus, when you start buying Qs, you have to figure those costs into what you're paying at the register.

      • I agree I am on a budget and i include the cost of Q and paper plus ink. every month in to my food budget. and if it is not there. then i pick wisely. Some weeks i do not go.
But i am going for candy since it is the last week before trick or treat at my church and they need candy. if you need a good budget guide check out Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. i am taking it now at my church and it is cheaper if you take it at a church than order online. HTH

    • Mary

I'm curious as to whether attempting to use a 5/$25 coupon I printed out last week would be “wrong”.

      • Kathleen

I went to rite aid in charlotte, nc today. I had a $5/$25 that expired OCt. 31 still left and had not been on to see it was pulled. When they scanned it it would not go through. I then used my last $5/25 video left from last month, since they expired today (so kinda glad the other didn't go through or it would have expired without me knowing it), and it went through no problem. So the video value $5/$25 were still working here.

    • Aimee

I just headed to my Rite-Aid store in Greenville, SC which is the new Rite-Aid Save-a-Lot store. They say they are not honoring any of the online Rite-Aid ads. Anyone know anything about this. He said this applied to all the Rite-Aid stores in this town. I asked for an instore ad and it was one page and only food items. Help!

      • Debko

All the the Rite Aid stores in Greenville County, SC are now the new Save-a-Lot/Rite Aid stores. These stores no longer honor the traditional Rite Aid ads, basically because they no longer carry the same stock as traditional Rite Aids. Your best best would be to try the store on 153, I hear it was not converted to the new Save-a-Lot.

        • Skay76

I live in Simpsonville and the closest non-Save-a-Lot Rite Aid is in Piedmont! I've gone there twice for weeks with great deals, but it really stinks that I have to go so far to get to a RiteAid. Not sure what they were thinking about – the one in Simpsonville is right next to a Bi-Lo! Very frustrating…

      • Rachel MacLeod

Hey Aimee! You can go to any Rite Aid in Spartanburg County. They are still regular Rite Aids. The closest one may be in Duncan, just off 85, but I'm not certain there is one there. You may not end up going there every week, but on a really great week, it's worth the trip! Hope this helps. (I'm in Greenville too! I understand!)

      • Tammy

The Rite Aid on 153 in Powdersville is still a regular store. The cashier told me there weren't any plans currently to convert that one. Might be worth the drive depending on where you live in Greenville!

      • amy

I was just at my nearest Rite Aid here in Greenville tonight and I too am so disappointed in their change over. I can understand having a small test market, but every store in Greenville seems ridiculous in my opionion. I mean wouldn't it have been smarter to do half and half and see which ones do better? I also found that since it changed over the +Up rewards do not always print for the things in their new Rite-Aid/Sav-a-lot ads. I've called their 1-800 number once and was assured that they would mail it to me, but it never happened and then it happened to me once again today. Very frustrating. I think I am done with Rite Aid unless I drive to Piedmont or Spartanburg when they have a can't be beat sale….ARGH!

    • BrendaA.

Can't figure out where to get the Got2b coupon on their facebook page either…anybody found that one yet??

    • Loverly

Has anyone ever tried to use a manufacturers coupon printed at the register from H.T. on a Rite Aid transaction? I have a nice Wonka $3 that starts with a 9 so would think it would work?

      • Susan

Should work–I've used the Kroger ones before at RA.

        • Loverly

Cool! Gonna give a try! Nothing surprises me anymore with this coupon stuff.

          • Lagirlforjesus

Brenda, it isn't available anymore. You had to print it about two weeks ago. :)

    • Thecastelfamily

For those confused about the oatmeal coupon… There was a $2 quaker oatmeal coupon a few weeks ago that was a red plum deal of the day and were gone not too long after they were put out.

    • julies

anyone know if i can still use my Video Value 5 off 25's I earned???

      • I used mine that I watched at the beginning of the month.

      • Shannon

The Lake Ella Publix in Tallahassee no longer accepts Rite Aid coupons (specifically the $5 of $25) due to the fact there are no Rite Aids in Tallahassee. I never understood why they took it in the first place but I was always grateful!!

      • Fallaya

Yes…the PDF versions of the coupon are no longer accepted.

    • john gray

How do you know when the coupons earned by watching the videos expire for printing?

      • DonnaTN

when you go to your account on top it will say “my rewards” click on that and it'll show the dates on them.

        • Ajblackmon

it looks like the dates are the dates we watched the videos? we are trying to determine which videos we need to watch and print today before they are no longer available. Jenny has several times….expies 10/23 for some of her rite aid coupons but when printed that is not the actual expiration date. we just wanted to seewhat we need to actually watch and print before they are not available any longer….

          • gardengirl

I just printed 5 of the video q's. The exp. date on all is 11/27/10. I also did several last weekend and the exp date on all of them is also 11/27/10.

          • Alice

the October ones expire the end of November the November ones expire the end of December and so on and so on

          • Carra

All of the ones up there now will no longer be availble for viewing at midnight today but will be available to print (if you view them before midnight) and use until 11/27. A new set of videos will be there tomorrow. You will have about 4 weeks to view those and then will have until the end of December to print and use them.

    • Up2stampin

I have a $5 off $25 good till November 30th.. Have they stopped honoring them?

the store says it will take up to 5 a day per customer. I love the $5 offs.

    • Robinsummey

please send me the $5 off $25 coupon expiring end of nov

    • Greersw

There is really no need to go to the Rite-Aid in Simpsonville for anything except food items. I was in there this morning and all they have is food, fruits, meats. They have a few shelves that had a few other items on them. Not worth even going in at all.

    • Fallaya

Are the 5/25 PDF coupon's pulled too?

      • Kelly

The $5/$25 that expires on 11/30 didn't work for me yesterday, but the one expiring 12/31 went through fine.

        • Leyly

Where can I get the coupon that expires on 12/31 from?

          • Red Plum, but only if you haven't printed it before.

            • Leyly

              Thanks!!

            • Steph

i try to go on rp and tried 5 diff zip codes non have it can u tell me what other zip will work thanks so much :D

            • usually iheartriteaid(dot)com has a link to it under their Rite Aid Printable Coupons list.

EDIT: It does appear to be gone now.

    • Kind of bummed. My Woodruff, SC store (about 30 minutes away from Greenville, for all those in Greenville looking for a Rite Aid) only has 4 of the Alka-Seltzers in stock, and I forgot to try and special order any so I could do the money-making deal. I can only hope they get in more, since next week is truck week. Oh, well. If anyone comes up with a good scenario for 4 Alka Seltzes, and 2 of the other products, let me know. I already have tons of painkiller products (and those are not easily donated), so I'm thinking maybe Flintstone's Vitamins? They are kind of pricey, but with coupons and then the $10 UP, that might make them all free in the end, I think? Just don't know if I want to use one of my dwindling $5/$25s for it, you know?

Sure hope that corporate will find a way to make the $5/$25 coupons available, but not easily counterfeited. Greedy, integrity-less people seem to be making that harder and harder, though. Gee, fraudsters, thanks for ruining it for the rest of us.

      • guest

the people on slickdeals come to mind….

      • Smilesforlisa

my store goes on and sales me whatever I want that they are out of and I pick it up on the next delivery date. wouldn't try asking your local manager

      • Tplcandles

I agree with you about the $5/$25 that is where I could really get good deals!

    • Kriss

I forgot how this works at rite aid: can you turn around and buy a product with an up reward from a prior purchase of the very same product? Hope that makes sense.

      • Bobobear

My rite aid lets me. I will sometimes divide my order into 2 orders. I buy first the items that will give me Up rewards. The 2nd order I then use the Up rewards I just got. I like doing that because I don't have to keep up with the Up rewards till my next visit. Remember to treat them like cash!

        • Kriss

Thanks ChrissyPunkin & Bobobear for your helpful replies!

      • ChrissyPunkin

Most of these UP rewards have a limit of one, so I wouldn't try to do the same UP reward twice. In the last flyer, it didn't say “limit 1” but I was sure disappointed when my UP rewards didn't print the second time and they couldn't do anything about it.

        • Smilesforlisa

I have lost in that deal. I don't even try it anymore.

    • JJ

RA pulled them because many people used them wrong. way they was not intended be used. I have e-mail from them that their is big changes ahead for them. To be honest I never used a PDF as you never know its fake or real. I can tell you that red plum has a Rite Aid coupon

    • Guest

I will also say coupons.com soon you will not be able to input the zipcode as it will get from you based on where you are kinda like espn3 does. So soon you will have to use coupons for your region. I know this will suck but its b/c many people used them wrong.

    • Christy

Where did you find the $5 off of $25 on redplum?

      • ChrissyPunkin

I couldn't find it, but I've found it in the past. Keep trying, I guess.

    • A Couponlady

O.K. I guess I'm ignorant, where do you find the Rite Aid coupon booklet?

      • Fallaya

It should be in the pharmacy. They are given out for people who purchase a flu shot, but according to an email I got from RA, they are available to anyone who asks.

        • Allison

Could you post the email you received so that we might be able to share that with the Rite Aid stores that refuse to share the coupon book?

          • aolss

All the signs in our store say “no purchase necessary”.

    • Misstristyn

Spotted a couple more coupons on the candy deal. $1/1 VV coupon for Hershey's Bliss and $1/2 Hershey's bliss from 9/26 SS might make that worth adding to your $25 candy pile.

    • Dawlski99

I went to Got2B facebook and couldn't find anywhere to get 2 off coupon. Anyone know how to get?

      • Lagirlforjesus

Dawlski99, I think that link is old. That coupon was available about two weeks ago but it is probably gone by now. :)

    • Mommy2B

A tad confused.. so please hear me out before attacking.. I read almost all of the comments on here and admire some of the deals people find, as I really do believe that there are a lot of people out there that save money by doing this because they need to.. BUT whats the point of going through all this coupon collecting, deal finding, etc. etc.. if your just going to give away all the stuff you end up with?

Like Ive said before.. Ive been shopping at rite aid pretty much to purely stock up on diapers.. as that was the biggest piece of advice Ive gotten that you will not believe the amount youll go through.. Ive gotten some other great deals on shampoo, body wash, cough syrup etc.. but all stuff that Ive needed and I dont have some insane stockpile here. I of course love free stuff too.. but if im not going to use it.. whats the point?

      • Tarah

Out of the goodness of your heart? Not to be rude, but if I understand properly you're asking why people take the time to search out the deals and get the coupons if it doesn't benefit them personally. I love knowing that I'm going to be able to donate items that I got very inexpensively in my company's toiletry drive this Christmas and that other families who don't have the time or resources to search out the deals will benefit. I do realize that this can be time-consuming, but I think of the time that I'm spending couponing for deals that will go to donations as time that I'm spending helping others.

      • gardengirl

I donate items to organizations that mean alot to me….the woman's abuse shelter in my home town (no I'm not a victim but there are children that have seen things in their short lives that no adult should have to witness), the Ronald McDonald House and both the Baptist and Methodist food banks in the town I live in now. If I didn't have these 4 places that mean alot to me, I would only print the q's I actually needed for my family and leave the rest for others to print. Since you are buying diapers, you have a young family and you probably are very busy taking care of your family and do not have time to do volunteer work. Alot of us also do not have time to do volunteer work but with Jenny's help, we can find deals and pass them along to others that need help. I have many reasons why I do it, one is it makes me feel good for helping others….a selfish reason I know but its true.

      • Sdavisva

I think your question is a fair one and I think you phrased it well. I guess everyone has to find their own way – find their own niche. For our family, we have an adopted family in Louisiana that we send food, household staples, and toiletries to each month (this is through Family-to-Family). I have three girls, so we go through shampoo/conditioner and other toiletries rather quickly. When I have an opportunity to buy extra, I normally have our adopted family in mind or perhaps someone in our church. I'm shopping already for my family (using the deals/coupons) so if I can pick up a few extra things for free or inexpensive to share it's worth my time. And for us, money is tight so giving/donating has been tricky, coupoining allows us to still help others.

      • Bobobear3

I know others have answered this but I thought I would weigh in too. I coupon for my family to save money. I also use some of the items I get for a co-worker who is a single mom with 2 kids on her 2nd fight with breast cancer. I could just give her some money that I could spare which wouldn't be much – maybe 20.00 or so. Instead I use that 20.00 and Jenny's great couponing to give her 40.00 – 50.00 worth of items she and her kids can use. It makes my helping her much greater then if I just gave her some money.

      • debbiekoehler33

Why not?!? We don't have a lot of money to donate to charity or to the food pantry at our church. But…if I can donate my time by cutting coupons and getting things for FREE than that is what I will do to help contribute. Again why not?!? If I have the means and knowledge to get something for free and I don't take advantage of it than that is just selfish on my part. It's a no brainier for me…especially if I buy the paper and have the exact coupons I need.

      • Since I can't spend money, I spend time (gathering coupons, shopping, donating) The point is being able to spend less money than you ever have, have everything you need for your family, and yet be giving more than ever to others in need.

For instace, I stockpiled diapers and baby stuff for friends expecting twins, toiletries for a women's shelter, school supplies and toiletries for a back to school “giveaway” day at my church, and just recently gave candy and food to some friends going through really hard times… all because of couponing. There is NO way with our current income we could have given so much without couponing.

      • ChrissyPunkin

A little boy in my daughter's class was in a car accident and he was thrown from the car. He is going to make it, and they asked us to send items for a care package for the family while they are staying at a hospital that is far from their home. I can't tell you how good I felt being able to go through my cabinets and pantry and come up with a wonderful selection of items for this family.

Thanks Jenny for making this possible!

        • Kjordan_81

My daughter is in the same class, and we did the same thing. She wanted to give everything that was on the suggestion list. It made it a lot easier for us to go through the stuff we are putting away for Christmas shoe boxes and ask my daughter to pick from what we already had. When we went to the store she got to pick out books and games and fun stuff, because I didn't have to pay full price for the necessity items.

      • Leia

I am going to speak from the other side. I don't consider myself a selfish person and I only buy what I need. I don't have a church organization and I don't donate it to a local charity. I don't think its a requirement to couponing to do that. Imagine the inventory problems with drugstores we would REALLY have if all of us did that lol. Its already frustrating out there. I am not saying you shouldn't do charity if that's your thing than do it. BUT I don't believe you should dog others for not, or dog them for doing it. Personal choices are personal choices. I also think its perfectly all right to write off something John Gray if you donate it. Hello we are all about saving money isn't that why we are here. does that make your charitable gift any less to the person that got it no. So I personally think it was a bit rude to dog him for just asking a simple question. Are you truly being charitable if your being mean to others while doing it? Just saying.

        • Lagirlforjesus

Agreed Leia. There are many people on this thread that need to remember to be patient with others questions.

      • Sparklecat2009

In the end……….one gets back far more by giving than the people that they help. That whole thing about it being more blessed to give than to receive is really true. I think that a lot of people on this site do not “stockpile” for themselves and then decide to give it away. I think that there are a number of people here that will buy extra specifically and purposefully to give and be a blessing to someone else. It is a wonderful thing!!! I think it is something to be applauded.

      • Mississippi Girl

        Popular post to respond to!

Here's the dealio……many—if not most—of us are single income families and we want to still do for others even though our finances are limited. Couponing and donating this stuff gives us that avenue to be charitable while still meeting the needs of our family.

Additionally, these free things often helps me get rid of expiring rewards or get my 10 items at the Kroger Mega Events—-true dat!

      • Mary

I may get attacked for saying this, and somewhat off topic…but I get somewhat angry with the deal hoarders. The “six at a time” alka seltzer deal this week reminds me of this topic. I lead a busy life with four children and many activities. I get upset when I go to stores one or two days after the “sale date” and see that the shelves are cleared of the item i'm looking for. Grab and smash.
I'm lucky enough to be a stay at home mother…what of the people who work all day to support their families and can't make it to the stores until the weekend? They're out of luck.
I wish people would be more considerate of other couponers out there that can't necessarily make it to the store right away. Maybe those folks are the ones that need the items just as much as a random charity would.

        • Lagirlforjesus

Mary, your comments assume that one person is taking everything off of the shelf. There are several hundred couponers in my area that shop at the same stores (including the Rite-Aids). You should consider just getting a raincheck instead of assuming that someone is a deal hoarder. You should think the best of people.

          • Mary

Good way of looking at it! I should definitely be more positive… it's a good way to live life in general :)
it's just incredibly discouraging when I make it to the store on the second day of the sale and many of the shelves are empty. I read stories of people who “stockpile” with their multiple papers' worth of coupons and end up not using things and donating them…when there are people like me (and others) who could really use the items in the week they're on super sales.
I'm relatively new to “super” couponing but I still feel that half the fun is telling the super deal to a friend or fellow couponer…or leaving some for the next person. Perhaps it's naieve of me, but for right now it works.

I definitely do not have the population density that you do.

            • Lagirlforjesus

Mary, that is why Rite-Aid supplies rainchecks to their shoppers so that you can still get the deal. I get rainchecks all the time and often times there are better coupons to use with the rainchecks the next week. Just make sure that you have the cashier put the UP Reward amount next to the price of the item so that you still get the UP Reward the next week. They will have to manually give you the UP Rewards on a gift card but gift cards are even better than UP Rewards because you can use them to pay for tax on your deal! So, in the end I prefer rainchecks to having the items in stock at my store. I am an extreme couponer and almost every advanced couponer I know would prefer a raincheck (unless, of course they happen to need the item that week)!

          • laura

But sometimes it is one person taking everything. Like the alka seltzer deal. It would only take 2-3 people doing that deal to wipe the store clean of the alka seltzer. Its not “several hundred people” wiping out a store's stock if each person is buying 6 of something. This is the same thing that happen's with free toothpaste deals. If you go on the first day you'll see people with baskets full of toothpaste, and all I want is one.

        • RM

good point . In dream world it just would be awesome if the stores would be able to stock up on sale items ( especially since they will be reimbursement for all those coupons) This would be great for their sales!
But let's not forget about rain checks rite aid has always been great about rain-check However I don't know how their ups rewards pairs with their rain checks now.Do we get the ups on the rain-checks?

        • Lori

I can understand being frustrated about all of an item being gone. However, with a family of 8, I stock up when things are cheap. A lot of people here are saying, “Who needs six AS?” I would do the deal, be set for a year, AND make money from the deal!

That being said, I don’t use AS. I wasn’t able to get to the store yesterday, I don’t expect it on the shelf today, and since I don’t use it, I’m not certain I’ll look for it when the truck comes in on Thursday (though for $11, it’s tempting). I keep a little busy around here, what with work, and doctor appointments, and getting kids to school. For me, my time right now is better spent on other things. But, you can bet that if a similar deal comes along on Mucinex, or children’s Tylenol, I’ll be first in line with coupons in hand!

      • Jerry

It's a perfectly reasonable question. I find deals for myself, but I sometimes get things that I don't need for a few reasons:
        1) Often I make money on them, like if there's a full rebate, and I also have a coupon.
        2) I barter with friends of mine, some of whom are very poor. They give me their unneeded coupons, and I give them my unneeded freebies.
        3) Sometimes, I need to get a freebie to reach the $25 minimum to use the $5/$25 coupon.

      • Livserge331

Well, multiple reasons in my case…

I'll do a deal on any item if it's a money maker. For instance last week at Rite Aid with the Neil Med NasoGel at 5.99, minus a coupon AND full rebate from both Rite Aid and the manufacturer. I'm currently unemployed, so every little item like this helps. I do every rebate I can, and it's been nice to get the $20 or so every week in the mail.

It's also how I do my Christmas gifts for my husband's family. It started as a joke like 5 years ago when I first started really doing deals. I had SO much shampoo and toothpaste stocked up, so I threw it in grocery bags and put it under their stockings. No one really said anything, so I assumed they were like, “meh”, but then the next Christmas rolled around and everyone was wanting to know where their toothpaste and stuff was! “We look forward to that!” they said. So now I really make a point to collect stuff through the year. It's really a blessing this year since I've been laid off. I don't know what I would have done for gifts otherwise.

I do also donate to the women's shelter. I don't get a period, but pads and tampons are frequent freebies and money makers, so I collect them and make a drop off once a year or so. The first time I went and said I had stuff I wanted to donate, the lady was a bit wary and said, “We can't take any more used clothes; I mean, we appreciate them, but we get so many,” and then I popped my trunk and said, “No, I've got pads, tampons, soap, and toothpaste,” and she burst into tears. She told me that was the kind of stuff they really needed, but no one ever thought to donate it. That reaction was enough to make me want to give again and again.

        • laura

Awww… That last paragraph makes me want to start donating stuff too! I only buy what I need and I don't really stockpile that much other then maybe having a few months worth of stuff like two extra shampoos and conditioners.

I've also thought about giving Rite Aid stuff as Christmas presents. Mostly for my younger brother and nephew. Like the Men's body wash or the Axe products. Seems like an okay thing to give teenagers for christmas, right?

        • Freemn4

          You are awesome!

        • Agreed on the women’s shelter. There is a rehab/shelter I donate to, and the toiletries and pads/tampons are so needed. Those women usually come there with nothing more than the clothes on their backs.

          • Anonymous

You don’t know how true that statement is. I’ve heard it my entire life that “women leave with nothing more than their kids and the clothes on their backs”. Most people don’t really grasp the idea though, but I remember walking in to a battered woman’s shelter for the first time when I was 3 years old. Every little bit helps those shelters, so please everyone, continue to donate.

      • Debbie Parnell

I wanted to weigh in here too. I do get a lot of the deals that are free and don't use for myself, but please hear me out. Our son recently returned from a 1 year deployment to Iraq. Many of the free items I got I sent in care packages to the troops serving with him in Iraq. For many of the soldiers(he is in Army) a care package was the only thing they received from America. You would not believe how many guys in my son's unit received NOTHING from home. The care packages that we were able to send were shared among them all. You would not believe how much a toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, shower gel, etc meant to these troops. Many people think that these items are provided for them, but they are NOT. Just think about our troops when stockpiling if you want a worthy cause to give to.

        • Tuckyblue2

Debbie, could you send info on what our troops can receive, how to package to send, and where to mail to?

      • Zombiemommy

I give to the women’s shelters my pads and toothpaste and toothbrushes. Here in ATLANTA,the United Way has a shoebox drive in May. http://www.unitedwayatlanta.org/Volunteer/Pages/ShoeboxProject.aspx

    • john gray

This is just a curoius question…What if I buy items, but actually get these items for free or nearly free with coupons and then donate them to a charitable organization. Can I claim them on my deductions and if so, what amount do I claim?

      • sara

Geez…..just donate with no strings attached!

        • ChrissyPunkin

I think it's a reasonable question. If you had bought something to qualify for a rebate but you didn't need all the items so you donated some, would you refrain from sending in the rebate so there are “no strings attached?”

Personally, John, I wouldn't risk filing my taxes incorrectly for the small difference it would make. I would take Jenny's advice and claim what you paid.

      • Many will say that you can, but that is truly an “ask a tax professional” kind of question. Knowing the IRS you can probably only claim the amount that you paid.

      • Guest

You can not write off something you get for free :)

      • Miss Kim

I appreciate John's financial resourcefulness……why not take advantage of another benefit afforded us by the taxing authority for our charitable giving? I've wondered the same thing before.

I also wonder if John has gotten reimbursed for qualifying purchases through his FSA (flexible spending account). Now these are two examples of TRULY getting the most for your hard earned dollars.

      • I was told last year from my tax accountant I was only allowed to deduct the amount paid and to keep all my receipts. So if I paid .15 for toothpaste, I can deduct .15 +tax, not the $2.69 one would think it would be worth. The value is in what you paid not market value.

      • Ajblackmon

WOW!! When my boyfriend-John Gray–and I were discussing this yesterday and I suggested he “post it to Jenny” we never imagined the responses we would get!! And let alone by Jenny too!!! By the way–my tax girl said you can claim only what you actually pay for the product. The tax thing was a just a “I wonder if?? and wouldn't that be awesome if we could?”

The fact that we can or can not deduct anything doesn't really matter and will in no way, shape or form alter the way I coupon or what I “buy” specifically to give away.

Because John's daughter made us feel obligated to go to her coupon class in July-he and I now use coupons to buy almost everything for my house and his. We both totally adore Jenny and all her helpers and look forward to seeing her site and its deals daily!!!

Thanks Jenny and all for devoting so much time and energy to helping others in this tough economy and giving us a way to help others so easily by simply clipping and extra coupon or 2 here and there!!

It is apparent that most everyone gets deals to make money at times as well as to save money and loves to give stuff away. We stood in the aisle at Kroger the other week for 8 minutes looking for people to give free butter to with our extra coupons!! Talk about surprising people!! We are also teaching my child how imporant it is to give to others and that coupons are a great way to be able to do that by getting the most out of your money. She is so excited to take our free noodles, beans, toothpaste, floss and other items we have collected to the food drive for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

I read on someone's comment—what is the point of getting stuff to just give it away?…are you serious?…show me one person or family that could not benefit from just one item they need but don't have to pay for!!…i spend several hours trying to “get my coupon on” each week between the stores that are offering the best deals.

I ALWAYS try to get something to give away to someone-whether it be to my friend who picks up my daughter 2 days a week so I don't have to leave work early or to my friend who just got divorced last year and is not getting child support like it is ordered or a food drive, church, etc.

I am truly blessed to have a wonderful job and to be able to take the extra time to help others routinely!!!

I am new to RA and trying to fix dinner and get my q's together….

I have 2 RA $3.00 video q's for the Oscillococcinum (different bar code numbers but both are for the same item) and 2 mfg $2.00 q's. Can I buy 2 and use all 4 q's and get $4.00 UPs in one transactions? Thanks!

      • i have done the huggies ups in the past and it worked all in same transaction. I received 3 separate ups. However, in other times i heard it was better to split them up so you can make sure you get the ups. HTH

        • gardengirl

Thanks Amelia, Christie & Nancy. I'll try it this week and let y'all know what happens.

      • Christie

I'd love to know this as well!

      • You may not be able to use 2 video value coupons in the same transaction…Only one may be used as you are really only suppose to have one video value account per card. Several Rite Aids around here will not let you do this.

        • Rebecca

For the Oscillococcinum , there were actully 2 coupons for the product available on VV, so I think you could use both.

      • Linda

Yes you should be able to, since there are 2 videos to watch on the website!

      • Amber Renee

i just returned from rite aid and i used both VV coupons for the oscillococcinum without a problem. there are two videos to watch, therefore you're not technically using the same coupon in the same transaction.

    • Jenny

Anyone know the zip for the Huggies Pure and Natural diapers coupon?

      • Guest

        Your home Zip code :)

      • ChristyMy

        I found it using 35226. HTH! :)

        • Jenny

          Got it, Thanks!

    • RachelSC

I live in Spartanburg County and every Rite Aid I have been to has been GREAT with coupons!

      • laura

Maybe I'll have to start driving a little South for my Rite Aid purchases then. I've been to all the Rite Aids within 10 miles of my home in Charlotte and everyone of them is mean and nasty about coupons. It makes me not want to go to Rite Aid anymore. I haven't tried doing couponing at CVS or Walgreens, but I think I'm going to switch to one of those. The cashiers at Rite Aid even get mad at me for using my own reusable bag! They say its too much much extra work for them to have to put my purchase in anything other then a plastic bag :O UGHHHH!

        • Aminehdestin

WHAT? How is it any more work to put the items in a different bag? It's the same thing. Scan item, place item in bag. If it's the motion of reaching up to put it in the bag on the counter, then suggest the place the bag on the shelf below the plastic bags, so it's literally the same thing. That may be the silliest complaint I've read on here that stores do. I'm sorry for your store, Laura.

        • Ss310279

The Rite-Aid in Pineville by the Carolina Place Mall on South Blvd. has a FANTASTIC employee there. DOn't know her name though……

    • Willow

Does anyone know if Rite-Aid will accept RR that are expired 1 day? CVS will accept expired ECB (within a couple days). Just wondering, my RR expired today :-(

      • Willow

        Sorry, I meant UPs

        • Dianne

          No, they will not.

    • Lizzie

Where is the got2b coupon on Facebook?

    • alibcat

I cannot find the NYC coupon in my All You magazone. Can anyone tell me where in the magazine you found it? It seems like I have different coupons in my All You than others.

      • laura

I couldn't find it in mine either. I would love it if there was a site that had the coupons and their page number. I would think that a magazine would have the same coupons nationally, and not be regional like the papers are.

        • Dianne

The coupons and the page numbers they are on are always found on a page close to the table of contents in each All You. If there are coupons that you don't see in the list, then they are to be found only in the store issue, not the subscription issue. HTH.

      • The BOGO coupon was on page 52 of the October All You subscription issue.

    • Crain_99

I was in the Rite Aide store on Elizabeth Lake Rd and Huron in Waterford, Michigan and the Manager refused to sell me six Alker Seltzers. She said other people may want to purchase some. There were four left on the shelf. Now I could'nt believe it when she asked me if the reason I was buying six was because they were free. I kindly remimded her that I do have out of pocket. So if you're near this store beware.

Anyway I went to another store, more coupon friendly they had no problem selling them to me. But I will be calling corporate to complain about store #1.

      • Aminehdestin

I wouldn't accuse you of only buying it because it's cheap/free, but we normally do limit at my store on hot sales items. I'm not sure what we'll be limiting the Alka Seltzer to, but we get truck this week so we may not have to. Just remember, they do have the right to limit quantities, but from what you said, she wasn't exactly nice and you do have a complaint there.

        • Crain_99

Thank you for replying. I do have a ?. When there is a promo of spend $30 on an item to get rewards. Why would a store not allow a customer to do exactly that. She kept telling me I could buy other items listed to get the promo, but I wasn't interested in other items. I think that was totally wrong especially when there is a promo going on. What you think. And again thanks for replying.

          • Me

IF Rite Aid wants to limit the quanitity they need to print it in the ad and they are notorious for not having but 2-3 items on the shelf when the ad starts. Rite Aid is in financial trouble and are trying to boost there sales. Remember they have these deals worked out with the manufactor before the add comes out….they technically aren't loosing money on the product.

            • Johnandleah

It is in the ad. It's on the back page at the bottom in small fine print.
For whatever reason Alabama's ad is completely different, and we don't even have this Alka Seltzer deal this week.:(

            • 3monkeysmom

I'm in AL and the Alka Seltzer is on page 4 of my ad :)

            • Aminehdestin

That’s true, but it’s not a corporate thing. I keep trying to reiterate that to everyone. As store employees, we don’t know what is going to be such a good deal until the sale starts, or when we get the ad (maybe 3 weeks in advance) and I start browsing coupons and coupon sites to see if we need to order up before the sale. We also only get deliveries bi-weekly which can cause items to sale out before a sale even starts. We have an inventory limit on each and every item, because backrooms are too small for much overstock, and the shelves can’t hold too much either. If it’s something that expires, they don’t want us getting too much that gets damaged out when it doesn’t sale, b/c that’s a store loss. 2-3 is the *normal* quantity for non-sale items. It is on the back of the ad that a manager can limit sales items, and it’s in the coupon policy as well, so that the sale can stretch to multiple people. Not b/c we lose money, but because giving a few people a good deal rather than one person a great deal is better for the store overall.

            • Thank-you for your perseverance in explaining all of this. I have seen a trend in some of the regulars here of a sense of entitlement to whatever deal they want, regardless of how many items they have to buy to get it, or what coupons have to be forced for them, and if they don’t get it, then call corporate for ANY reason and have the chew out the store.

It’s one thing is you are truly treated badly, or an employee is really uneducated and needs to be “encouraged” to read the coupon policy for themselves. It’s another if a store won’t let you buy six of an item at the beginning of a sale week, when doing so will leave very little on the shelf for anyone else. In those cases, since it IS at a managers discretion, and no couponer is ENTITLED to buy 6 Alka Seltzers, that really isn’t a reason to complain, unless you were also treated with marked disdain/impoliteness.

            • Aminehdestin

I just don’t like being the one yelled at for it. lol. I get yelled at every single Saturday night after 6 when pharmacy closes because apparently I have control over their hours. I really can’t control corporate decisions, as much as I would like to have input from time to time. Thinking that I should because I seem to make sense out of things better sometimes, doesn’t give me that ability though.

          • Aminehdestin

Technically when there are other items in a deal like that, and there are only 6 of the product you want to buy 6 of, it's manager's discretion to limit it and suggest you purchase other items in the deal. We're supposed to make an attempt to have product for multiple customers, but we got (I think) 9 of the AS packs and someone bought 4 last week. Oops. Luckily, when I went in, I mentioned this deal and we're calling the warehouse so they know to override the “limit” our store has and give us the 50 we ordered today. Unfortunately, when the ad order is done, it says how many corporate expects each store to sell, and then the manager puts his/her number in and then if that exceeds the limit, we literally only get what we're allowed unless a manager goes through the steps like we did today. I think when we get them in we are going to limit 6 to the shelf to try and encourage mix and match sales, but will have more for the next customer is one does clean the shelf off. I ordered up on the other products too, just in case. So it's okay for a store to limit, but there has to be some give and take. If your manager had offered to let you split it even, buy 4 of those and then maybe add a couple of the others, to me that would make sense, because they're going beyond what they are trying, and so are you. Then again, if you still don't budge, the store is risking a complaint if they don't let you buy all 6.

            • Lori

I’m a bit surprised that some of these chain stores DON”T have someone comparing coupons to sale items. It seems to affect the bottom line – like you mentioned here, if you normally expect to sell 2-3 items, but then get a sudden request for 50…. Aminehdestin, maybe you should offer to work as a consultant to RA for a few hours each week to do the coupon matchups for them! ;)

            • Aminehdestin

It’s funny b/c obviously corporate knows what coupons will be the week of the ad being printed since in several ads (including the AS this week) it includes “manufacturers coupon in most Sunday papers”. They do tend to change the coupons from time to time which leaves us posting disclaimers. It’s terrible that they don’t pass the info on the stores though. Or even have it w/the order that they expect the items to sell better. I guarantee they still had us listed at 6-7 of the AS when the manger did the ad order. I know it goes on past sales, but come on, common sense says this sale is better with the double dip +UP deal *and* the man. coupon. I will absolutely consult for corporate! I’m in, especially if it includes a much needed raise. :-)

      • guest

It's polite to leave some on the shelves for other people. Now if it was YOU who tried to buy some AS after another couponer bought 6 boxes, you'd be upset too! Do unto others and you would want them to do unto YOU. Most of us are probably going to give those boxes of AS away anyway, so it's not like you were going to suffer from not buying 6 boxes.

      • guest

Unless you needed all of the Alka Seltzers for yourself, I agree with the manager!! I read all of the posts and it is becoming very annoying to me that people are shopping only to get something free, make a profit, or possibly donate the item. Buying 6 of a certain item is ridiculous. There are customers who come in and may need the Alka Selzers immediately, but the shelf is cleared out because the “do-gooders” have stockpiled to contribute to the women's shelter or send to military families, etc.

This extreme couponing has gotten out of control. Buy what you need and a little extra to donate. But if you are reading this and have tons of extras sitting in your closet, then there is something wrong with the system.

        • You know, I have to agree with others who have called you out. I’m one of the strictest “moralizers” on here, and even -I- find your comments (if all the “guest” post are you) grating, as they are practically ALL negative and purely opinion. What is your DEAL? Do you really think you know EVERY extreme couponers life, and that you are qualified to pass judgment on them ALL?

YES, some people go overboard. But not all. Some of us who coupon to make money do it because our regular income is not enough on it’s own. And even WITH that pressure, we strive to resist greedy impulses and coupon with integrity. My family LITERALLY does not make enough money to cover all of our bills every month. I coupon specifically to keep my family paying ALL of our bills, WITHOUT getting ANY government aid (even though we qualify for ALL of it.) Does that fit your stereotype, “guest”?

You are over-generalizing and not really adding anything of value to the comments here. Please consider taking the log out of your own eye before pointing out the specks in other’s eyes.

        • Bryarsmom

I can’t help but think there’s this distinct possibility the so-called “guest” posting here is a liberal.

          • Aminehdestin

Hey now, I’m a bit of a liberal too. :-P

          • Tara

What if the guest is a liberal? Everybody is entitled to their own view!

    • Singalwayz

Can't fine the Quaker Oatmeal coupon. Do I need a special zip code?

    • rebecca

I have a question about the $5/$25 coupons. I totally understand that Rite Aid pulled the PDF ones. Can we still use other $5/$25 coupons? Example: I still have mine that I printed from RedPlum when they had the Dash for a Deal or whatever thing a couple months ago. I don't want to plan on using them if it's not allowed…

      • laura

Redplum and any you have from VV is still good. Its just the pdf ones that are bad.

        • Stacey

is the pdf bad if we printed it when it was legit? i think i got it from a link here, but not sure

          • Aminehdestin

Technically, yes. They’ve been deleted from the system, so when scanned, it beeps “item not found”. It’s not that it’s a fake coupon, so Jenny wasn’t posting links to fraudulent coupons, but due to the overuse coupon abuse they’ve been taken down so they can’t be printed anymore, and obviously deleted from the registers recognizing them. We’re still pushing them through at my store, but only one per customer. We were told when we asked about it before it was pulled, and they said it’s on store cashiers to make sure the terms are followed including the “one per customer”. Don’t know how they really expected us to do that, but basically if we know you’ve used one already, we aren’t pushing it through now, but if not we’ll let you use one and just manually enter it.

            • Lori

It’s too bad they haven’t figured out how to code the system to ensure that specific coupons are only used once per card. I think the $5/25 are great promo coupons to get us in the store, but I also understand the abuse on the system. I know my shopping habits have changed with the couponing – if I need something NOW without a coupon, I am much more likely to go to CVS or Rite Aid rather than Walmart or the local grocery stores (at least, for things like diapers, medicines, etc.).

            • Sheila

I agree. I immediately think Rite Aid now over Target and WalMart (which I actually gave up long ago). Many times, I could work the stuff I needed into my scenarios, but many times, I find myself paying full price and I’m not hating it because I know how much RA saves me in the long run. Plus, the check-out lines are much shorter than the big stores, so even with the time it takes to plan the transactions, I can still get out quicker.

            • Aminehdestin

I’m sure they’re working on doing exactly that if they plan to release the $5/$25 coupons ever again. Since they’ve worked with Ad Perks to link the VV coupons to your card and make each bar code individual, they do know the technology. I’m sure there’s someone smart enough to process it all in the corporate office.

      • Meggie

what is a PDF Q and how do I know if I have one

        • Aminehdestin

The PDF coupons are the little square coupons that have been uploaded to different image hosting sites. It prints out with the blue background covering the page except for the little 3″ (or so) box that is the coupon. The Red plum coupons print like any other IP coupon and the VV coupons are the [larger] square coupons that you get for watching the videos on the website. Right now there are PDF files still floating around which expire on 10/31 and 11/30 and I *think* someone has also uploaded the $5/$25 that expires on 12/31 that is sent out when you register your wellness card online. It hasn't been deleted yet, but I do caution against printing it multiple times so we don't get it pulled to.

    • Beautymarks4god

if you get 3 huggies, do you get 6 UPs rewards?

      • Billiekaym

In the past you will get 6 UP rewards but haven't tried it this time.

      • Yes, I just got $4 UPs for 2 pkgs, in the same transaction.

    • Amber Renee

i purchased two samy products (which are B1G1) and to my surprise, i rec'd two $1 up rewards. this combined with the B1G1 free sale AND the $2 off VV coupon, makes for really cheap products. also, i rec'd a $1 up for purchasing the NYC color item, which was free after the B1G1 sale and the coupons from all you.

      • Islandboybpb

Yeah usually the way the system works is you will get a +up reward for each item unless it says when you buy 2 or whatever quantity it requires.

      • Amber Renee

yeah, the $1 additional up reward wasn't advertised, which is why i was surprised to receive it. i'm happy, that's an extra 3 ups i didn't expect :)

    • Gabriela

does anybody know if the right guard total defense is included on the b1g1 deal?

      • Aminehdestin

Almost all of the RG deodorant is included in the sale this week. I think there were 2 when I put up the signs that weren't scanning a sales price, and they weren't the right sizes (smaller sized gel). So, unless I'm thinking of something else, yes they are included.

    • Wow – I just went to Rite Aid, and got all this for $15 in two transactions:

24 pk of Charmin Ultra (substitute for sale item), 10 2pck snickers/twix/3musketeers, 2 pks of huggies pull ups, and garnier ultra lift night cream.

I used $4/20, $5/25, 5 bogo coupons for the candy bars, 2 of the $1 off rite aid v/v coupons, 2 $2 pull up coupons, $2.50 man and $2 rite aid garnier nutritioniste coupons, and $4 in UP rewards earned from the pull ups! WOOHOO!!

    • Shaner478

Tried Jenny's scenario for the 6 Alka Seltzer. NO +Up rewards printed. Not even the +2Up rewards for the individual boxes. They (Assistant Manager & Manager) said that the $10+UP reward for purchasing $30 was AFTER coupons, so I did not qualify. Then they said because I used all the coupons I was essentially getting everything for free, so the + UP rewards would not print. I showed them the AD! that stated to use the coupon and with the +Up reward it was free (plus tax). They ended up 'working' the system to get the coupons to print. This is not the first time I was told that the $10 +UP reward off a say $30 purchase was after coupons, although this is not stated in their ad!

      • Crain_99

Sorry that happened to you. After one Rite Aid manager down right refused to sell me six Alka Seltter's I went to another store and had no problems. my 6 $2 ups printed and my $10 reward printed. My out of pocket for the Alka Seltzer was 1.98. I started with rewards. So they were wrong. Some of these managers tell customers anything just to get us out the store. But I'm complaining to Corp in the morning. Good luck

        • Nichols_again

What do you think they were thinking? It's not like you could make meth with Alka Seltzer LOL…but then again I have been refused AZO itch cream before because I was getting 6. I told the manager that my entire family had chicken pox and he finally gave in :)

      • RebeccaFer

That is not true and the manager should know that. Please call 1 800 Rite Aid and let their corporate CS inform the manager of the correct information. :D

    • Jblack7404

I keep hearing all these comments about the items not being on the shelves. I was the first one in my store today and there was only 2 Alka Seltzer's that qualified for the Up rewards on the shelf! Rite Aid knows that these items will go fast, I think they have just a few on purpose! Which I don't pesonally understand. They get refunded from the manufacturer. People need to complain to Rite Aid. Not to the people that get up early to get the deals!

      • Gallman5

The Rite Aid that I shop at in GA does rainchecks for items that they are out of. It was my first trip to Rite Aid…But, supposedly, I will be able to get the item for the same advertised price and they said I could still receive the SCR on it. I am not 100% sure if the SCR will work, though, if I purchase it the next week. Anyone know?

        • Islandboybpb

Yes!!! Once you call the 1-800 number on the back of the rebate book, just explain to them that you had a raincheck for the item and they will gladly process the rebate for you.

        • Aminehdestin

Which store do you shop at? I wonder if you’re also shopping near my store.

      • Guest

Here the deal many people seems to forget this. lets say Bill need something on Thursdays and he buys 6 of that item. Well he may just purchased all of that item till they get the next track. Many coupons people don't seem to understand this.

      • I know that my store has to order sale items 1 month ahead, and they are still in the learning curve of what is going to be a big seller, and what won't. They get in trouble when they order too much of an item, and then it doesn't sell. So they are getting it from both corporate and customers. NOT fun. I've started using iheartriteaid to look ahead as far as I can, and let them know as early as I can about what items I KNOW they will sell a lot of. I forgot to do it about the Alka-Seltzer, though. Kicking myself for that. I have to wait until the truck comes in, and pray they get enough of it in (which they have no way of knowing, because corporate doesn't always allow them everything the order. Lame. I agree.).

    • melissa

Are the Up rewards printing in multiples? If I get two Nivea lotions in the same transaction, will both print?

      • Jblack7404

        It did for me!

        • aolss

I got 4 for the NYC cosmetics in one transaction but would really like to know if I can get a second deal in the $10 for $25 on the candy. Anyone having luck getting it twice?

    • melissa

Savannah's Rite aid has Organix's shampoo and conditioners on BOGO !

    • ChristyMy

Apparently the Huggies Goodnights are also included in the sale! I was buying them because I needed them but instead of ringing up for $11.99, they were $8.99 and 2 +UPs printed.

      • Islandboybpb

Yeah it is any Huggies jumbo pack diapers, overnights or pull-ups that are on sale….sounds like they just didn't hang enough sale signs….good deal though.

    • Mot2232

Has anyone gotten the $10 +UP for the candy deal? I purchased candy and didn't get my reward, so I returned it and repurchased making sure I had items listed in the rebate and still didn't get the reward. Will call corporate tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone else had this problem! My total was $25.49 before tax, so should have been OK.

      • Crain_99

Yes, I got the $10 Up. I had coupons and paid for the candy with the $22+UP I got from the Alkter Seltzer deal. If you got the right bags then it should have printed.

      • phyllis

The $10 up did NOT print for me….and I just bought 10 bags of candy (Reese's and Kit Kat's) that were 2/$5. My total was EXACTLY $25 before coupons, bought the correct items. No up. Store management couldn't figure it out. They just gave me a cash refund for the $10 (plus tax)

      • Loverly

I didn't get mine. I did two separate transactions and both included gum. The cashier told me that gums is not candy. lol Gonna call corporate tomorrow. They are always so good about sending the +UPs when I call.

        • Kerry72nc

same thing happened to me. I didn't know gum was its only category..lol. I always considered candy.

      • Abi

I didn't get the $10 UP either…but I had purchased the right things so the manager took $10 off my next purchase for me since I was going to use it today anyway.

      • Chzburgr

I did not get mine but the store manager called and they acknowledged that not all the candy had been inputted correctly to me included in the $25. They said to call 1-800-riteaid tomorrow and they would take care of it. If not, the manager said to come back and she would be sure it was handled

      • Freemn4

I went to the store in Summerville, SC and mine did not print, so the manager said it wasn't put in their system correctly. She gave me a $10 gift card instead.

      • Teaguewoman

I tried twice today. My store said they have been having problems all day with it not printing. He just gave me a $10 gift card.

    • whitneybutler

I had an awful experience today at Rite-Aid. I have never been treated badly before, and I have been shopping there for a year now. The $10 +Up Reward did not print for the $25 candy deal and the manager told me it was because the only candy included in the sale was the ones on the first page. If this is true that means all the tags on the candy isle for those items on the 2nd and 3rd pages marked “buy $25 in Candy get $10 in +Up Rewards I guess were “misplaced.” I was very polite and said I would just return them, but then I found out they were going to keep my coupons and deduct them from the retail price of the item for the return. This means they will get reimbursed the face value of the coupon from the manf. but not give me any compensation for it. To me this is dishonest profiting. I just decided to leave it for another day. On my way out the manager said to her associate “Those couponers, if everything goes right it is all hunky-dorey but if something goes wrong they turn into monsters.” I was appalled, especially since I was rather reasonable and quiet the whole time. I just wish they would be more patient with us, since I am sure we are at least 80% of their customer base.

      • Tarah

That's terrible! I would do as other have suggested and call corporate. There is no reason you should be treated like that and it's absolutely ridiculous that a manager would make that kind of comment. They know better. Sorry this happened to you.

      • Kerry72nc

I had a problem with the candy deal too. I bought the 3pack gum and my total was $26 and change and the UP didn't print. I told the cashier who then got the manager and he said since I bought gum (although on sale) isn't “candy” and it's like mints are not candy”. I was ticked off since it the trident white gum was on sale. So I made them do a whole void and took my q's back. Errrr.

      • You know, that was entirely unprofessional in so many ways. You really should call corporate and let them know how you were treated, as well as the errors they made with the signs/not honoring the signs. They may not have been able to figure out why it didn't print, but considering where they put the signs, they should NOT have said that about you. You might tell corporate that “Those couponers”, who are now shopping at Rite Aid's in greater numbers than ever before, are probably going to be the main thing that saves them from bankruptcy, and that alienating -honest- ones is a VERY bad idea.

    • KNM

I had an awesome day at Rite-Aid this morning . . . Bought Nivea lotion (they didn't have the right one but substituted and just gave it to me for $.99 instead of the 5 UPs. (also used $1.00 off coupon), Bought 6 AS Powders and used 6 coupons from the paper today, 4 of the AS had $1.00 instant coupons on them and they let me use them, Bought Aveeno product with $4.00 coupon and $1.50 coupon, used 2 $1.00 coupons from video values and $4.00 coupon for spending $20. Had 1 UP for $1.00 and spent $2.29 out of pocket – got $26 in UP's for next time. I would say this was a successful trip!!!

    • crunyon

I once again had a bad experience in Rite Aid this morning. I know that it is just this store, the employees are not very bright individuals and I AM NOT being mean, only honest. I have issues every time I go. The lady would not let me use a Huggies coupon unless I bought the package that matched the pic on the coupon even though it CLEARLY said ANY of the following…blah, blah..okay, whatever, I got the ones SHE wanted me to get. I had some of the BOGO candy bars and the BOGO (up to .99) coupons, she would not let me use the stupid coupon and when I asked for the manager (also not very bright) she said “we will not be reimbursed”, I tried to explain that the coupon is for .99 and I had no problem paying the other .60…..OMG, I hate that this is the only Rite Aid in a 50 mile radius, I would love to shop these deals but these people make it impossible.

      • kb

wow.. so not surprised.. ive shopped 2 saturday evenings in a row.. the cashiers never seem to know how to handle this.. didnt they just hang up all those signs?

      • Have you thought about calling corporate and asking that they educate the workers at that store? They really are very good about following up on that.

    • guest

does the nivea lotion deal print twice?

      • barbara

I bought two and got two $5 UP. So yes.

    • Mlsshartz

The Renpure organic shampoo/conditioner that is B1G1 is also printing 1UP for each. There is the $3.00 vv to go with it. They had B1G1 packs (1 shamp and 1 cond) for $6.99. So I bought a duel pack and 1 separate bottle that had the $6.99 mir on it. Not a bad deal at all. The Nexxus at my store not only is $9.99 for the 13.5oz bottle on sale but they also have the dual pack (1 shampoo and 1 conditioner) for that price.

      • melissa

I got this renpure deal as well! I am excited to try it. It was only on one of the scents, but whatever! Cheap is cheap! :) and My duo pack for $6.99 had the $3 MIR on it so I got both of just $3.99!

      • Thanks for the heads up! My store had these with the rebate tag, so they are a $2.66 money maker. Their website DOES say that the rebates are being processed in 10-12 weeks, btw. Just so everyone is aware of that.

        • Additionally, when I did this deal, each bottle printed a $1 UP that wasn’t advertised!

    • Abi

Just an FYI…I took 3 $5/25 coupons to my Rite Aid today and asked the manager if I could use them. She said the machine would beep but they are overriding them since it is a store issued store coupon…she said she thought it was only right to honor it. She overrode mine every time without a problem…I love my Rite Aid…they work hard to make couponing as easy as possible and they are so helpful. My cashier even counts my coupons for me and counts what came off the receipt before I pay…saves me so much trouble when I get home!!

      • Guest

They are only to be used one time not even if the store allow you. You know your cashier or manger could be fired cause of you?

        • Mom2Angel

A lot of negative comments from “guest” lately. Feel free to use a name like other people do!

          • Sheila

It's not just a negative statement. It's a true statement. People were abusing the $5/$25 coupons (for which RA takes a hit for) and so RA pulled them. If a store is willing to take them, great, but they should be taking them per the rules. We should be ashamed of ourselves for asking the store to take a coupon that we KNOW corporate does not want circulated. Shame on the stores for allowing abuse of these coupons. Since they are out there, I agree that the store should honor them, but ONE per customer is enough. Rite Aid is in enough financial difficulties as it is without us adding to it.

            • Aminehdestin

I think a lot of the replies to “guest” are more about how comments are being made. Many, MANY, people on this site really do try to follow the rules, while I'm sure there are the bad apples that I've seen at some other sites lurking around too. There's a way to say the same thing without it coming out rude. I do agree that the cashier/manager could absolutely lose their job for allowing multiples of the same coupon. All RA coupons are meant to be “one per customer”. Our correspondence from the higher ups said to enforce that, so we are. Many stores haven't gotten that info though because they haven't asked. If the company gets tired of it though, someone could be fired because employees are supposed to know better.

          • Bryarsmom

I agree Mom2Angel-how about you man or girl up with your real name :)

          • harry

And what difference would it make if Guest used a name? He or she could type in Dick, Harry and Jane as easiy as Guest.

    • kaseyshadow

Wow, after reading some of these post I am even more in love with my cashier/managers at the two rite aid's I go too. The one always speaks and ask about my children if they aren't with me. She asks how many transactions I want to do and is always super sweet and said she's starting to follow the site. Glad my Rite aid people are smart and have a clue. The manager has never questioned my Q's and always helps.

    • Big john

Since everyone else ig giving their experience i thought i would mine as well. Thanks jenny

      • Klane08

Is this the Big John that does the AJC variations? If so, how did you get the Alka Seltzer q's? I didn't see them in my papers today! Btw… thanks for always doing the variations!!!

        • Dianne

They were in my AJC! Counting the first page as page 1, go to 11 and there it is! Hope you find it!

      • Freemn4

I just have to say… huh? LOL…. you are amazing “Big John”. Kinda made my head spin a little reading that.

    • Bobbie14243

I wanted to give a “heads up” on the Alka Seltzer deal. I bought 6 and after the transaction it printed (6) $2 +UP, but not the additional $10 +UP for buying $30 worth. We finally figured out the problem…My rewards card is at the Silver level which gives a discount so my Alka Seltzers were ringing up $4.94 each so it didn't hit the $30 total. We ended up refunding the items at full price then re-ringing the transaction on my mothers reward card to hit the $30. I turned around and used the refund money to pay for the transaction and it printed all $22 +UP's. My manager and cashier were super. They said they were willing to go above and beyond for me because I do the same for them. (organizing transactions and coupons and in general never having coupon “issues”). I had retail $256 and paid $19.08 out of pocket including tax. GREAT day for me!

      • Dianne

Thanks for the heads up on the pricing! Sometimes it's hard to tell until you get in the store what's a regular price and a sales price, and that does effect the deals.

      • Guest

Please don't abuse the system or chnage cards to spend less money. To many people this will not seem right. you should be watching prices as they rang up. As I said many times here these companies seem to get smarter as we go.

        • Guest

I agree completely. This is really going overboard with coupons and using mother/father/sister/brother cards just isn't right. I know for a fact that “using my mother's reward card” is probably not something she got for herself, but in fact something you got as a secondary card – and just used her name and address. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

    • aolss

Does anyone know what the limit is on the $10 up for $25 in candy? I'm making up treat bags for ~70 undergrad and grad students who work for me so I need a *lot* of candy. I got 10 bags today but wondering if I could get 10 more as I still have plenty of good coupons.

    • Kellycdljobs

Rite Aid in our area, NE Alabama, will not let you get more than 1 UP reward per item. I tried to buy 6 pepsi products last week which was 2UP rewards when you bought 3 and it only printed the one UP. The clerk said is was “one per household/wellness card”. Anyone else having that issue?

      • Johnandleah

I'm in north AL and I've found that it depends on what it is. I've never had the coke or pepsi products print more than one, but most other stuff will.

      • Islandboybpb

Yes in the AD, it will have underneath the advertised item Limit 1 per Household on a few of the deals….so just need to be careful on what you buy….This week is the same way…it was left out of the AD “Limit 1 per Household” but there is a disclaimer on the door that says it was a misprint and you are only allowed one reward.

    • S_CarolinaGirl

I used to love Rite-Aid. Now it seems they are becoming very unfriendly to couponers! It seems that most of the cashiers I deal with are anti-coupon! I just don't understand. If the store is reimbursed from the manufacturer for these coupons, then why is it always such a struggle to use them? I am becoming more frustrated, and have drastically reduced my number of shopping trips. I also wish they would allow you to “build” your balance for the +UP rewads like CVS does with the ExtraBucks. It makes it easier when you don't have to buy everything in one purchase to get the reward.

      • Fallaya

I've been using coupons at RA for almost a year now, and I've always felt they were unfriendly towards couponers! There are a couple of really nice cashiers that never EVER hassle me, but the rest can be very annoying. I just try to plan my shopping trips on the days when I know they will be working. I also limit my shopping trips to one per week…if need be, I'll make two trips. But I don't like making that second trip! :-(

      • Lorannclark

build your balance??? I shop @ CVS but do not know this concept. can you tell me more. thanks

        • toni

I think she means that at CVS if you have to buy $15 of products to get $5 extra bucks, you can buy $5 in one transaction and $10 in another and get the reward when the $15 total is purchased. At Rite Aid you have to purchase all $15 at once to get the rewards. At least I don't think you can split the transactions like you can at CVS. So in effect, you are “building your balance” at CVS. You can even check on your receipt to see how much more is needed to get the rewards at CVS.

        • melissa

Let's say CVS has a Buy 3 Snickers bars and get $2 ECB's. If you buy one using your cvs card, at bottom of receipt it says “buy 3 snickers get $2 ecb's back! Total purchased:1. Items needed to earn ECB's: 2” as long as you scan your cvs card it records these and once you buy 3rd you get the ECB

    • Sharon

I went to RA around 2 this afternoon. All of the Nivea body lotion was gone. The cashier said it was gone LAST NIGHT. She said they put up the sale signs Saturday evening. If people come in and see it, they have to honor the price. NOW I KNOW…… Guess I will keep checking during the week and hope they have more. I did do the Alka Seltzer deal Jenny said to do. I got back $22 in RR. Yipeeee!!!!!! Not sure how/why it worked out that way.. but I AM THRILLED…

      • Fallaya

My RA only had one Nivea lotion too!! I also got the last two boxes of Rice Krispy Treats.

All in all,I bought Nivea lotion, a pack of Huggies, 2 boxes of Rice Krispy Treats, Alka Seltzer and Aveeno Leave-In conditioner. After coupons and 9 +UP rewards, I only paid $1.54 out of pocket and received 10 +UP rewards!!

Thanks for the heads-up re: Saturday evening sales signs. I sometimes shop on Sat nights, and notice that they are putting up the signs.

      • Aminehdestin

We ran out this morning, but opened the 2 gift sets we had to get the lotion from those (same UPCs) and we'll replace them after truck Tuesday. We also ordered 24 more, so hopefully those will come in Tuesday. We also ordered up on the $5 AS and some of the $4.99. Thanks to this site, we may actually have stock for the big sales!!!

        • Jackie

Are you in mt. juliet? corner of lebanon and mt juliet rd? thats the one i go to but if your out of the lotion i may wait till wed so i dont have to drag my 2 babies out today.. thanks for all you help :)

          • Aminehdestin

No, I don't know where that is, sorry. I'm in GA. Call your store and ask if they have it in, and if they do see if they'll hold one for you. If they don't have any, ask if/when it will come in so you don't have to get the babies out.

    • BrendaA.

Just wondering….if I already have a $5 off $25 coupon that I printed out several weeks ago will they accept it?

      • shannon

I used one Saturday that I had already printed from a common RA coupon blog and it beeped. I did not realize at the time that they had all been “pulled” so I was genuinely confused. The shift supervisor pushed it through.

      • Fallaya

        No

    • Tammyla

has anyone been able to find the $2 off huggies snugglers of movers diapers on coupons.com?

      • Aminehdestin

It's on the 4th page of mine. We've had people using them all day too. If you've printed any recently, for one of the last sales, your coupon may not have reset yet.

      • melissa

If you can't find it and have a Kroger in your area…check their packages for Peelies…they were on EVERY package when I was in the store yest. I believe I have some if you want me to put them in the mail for you

      • melissa

        I have 3 of the $2 off….

    • Karen

I got 2 really good deals at RA today. I bought the Huggies for 8.99 and used a $2 RA coupon and $2 MF coupon. Also got $2 up rewards for them. I also bought the hearing aid batteries for B1G1. I found $3 off coupons on both of those packages and was able to use them with 2 $1,50 MF coupons. I also had a $4 off $20 RA coupon. So I got all those for $10. My dad was happy to find out that 2 pack of hearing aid batteries only cost 5.99. The Huggies cost 2.99. I use a RA in Montgomery and don't have any trouble with the coupons.

      • ChrissyPunkin

Which Rite-Aid? I've had good luck at the one on Atl Hwy and Perry Hill.

        • Karen

The one on Atlanta Hwy across from the CVS at Taylor Rd.

    • Megak

*Hidden* Deal on Tena Pads. Not sure if this works on the underwear or not, since I was purchasing the Ultra Thin Pads 32-42 ct. Each one prints out *two* $3 up rewards instead of one. I don't “sense” a limit having made a number of these purchases already (5+). With the $2.50 coupon available, the money making transaction goes like this:

      (2) Ultra Thin Pads 32-42 ct. – $10.50 each w/ 20% full wellness discount
      Total: $21.00
      – Use $4.00 off $20.00 coupon
      – Use $1.00 off one item coupon
      – Use $1.00 off one item coupon
      – Use $2.50 off one tena pad coupon
      – Use $2.50 off one tena pad coupon
      Pay $10.00

Get back four $3 up rewards = $12
Final price = $2 money maker.

For my parents, one of who is bedridden and requires a lot of Tena pads for daily care, this deal is a great one!

      • Klynn

Where do you get the $2.50 Q. I would like to try the underwear for my grandmother who has cancer.

        • Klynn

sorry I should have looked up before asking that question.

          • Megak

NP. Yes the underwear deal is different. But there is a rebate for the underwear so make sure you use the rebate form for that deal, it should make a very good money maker if its printing the $3 up reward twice, but I'm not sure if it is or not. If you try it let us know.

            • Klynn

I could not find the mail in rebate in my paper 10/3. Can I print it somewhere?

            • I don’t think there is anywhere you can print it, but you can have one of mine. Care to share your e-mail with me?

      • Fallaya

It may not be a “hidden deal”. It might be a glitch in the system. It's up to each individual to decide whether or not to take advantage of the offer. Not trying to sound “preachy”…lol…I'm just reminded of the “choco club” +UPs that were printing last month, which was a glitch in the system…

        • Aminehdestin

For some reason, I think I remember seeing something about the Tena +UPs. II hung a lot of signs yesterday. I'm off today and tomorrow, but will look in to it Wednesday.

Off topic though, about the non-chocolate club bags. Apparently (I was on leave with my broken leg still) my store sent a report about the extra rewards printing on SUNDAY and were told it was all supposed to print out. On FRIDAY the email came down saying that it was a programming glitch and they were to mark out the reward barcode when they printed. Grr. If corporate would only listen to us.

Plus, we then had a customer who bought 8 bags turn around and want to return them b/c her husband had already bought candy at Walgreens that day and they had too much. The Shift on duty said she didn't know if they could return it since the customer paid solely in +UPs besides tax, but a week later the DM called and said to just put it on a GC and completely ignored the fact that after the +UPs she got from those purchases made the entire thing free anyway. So basically, we refunded the amount paid on a GC ($27 or so) and she'd received $27 in +UP rewards that she'd already taken off the receipt. So she got to transfer her expiring UPs to a GC which can also go towards tax, and made $27. That is a way to make me angry. I don't get mad easily. I met Dianne last week, she can probably tell you all that I have a pretty happy demeanor. That kind of abuse though, I think I would take the complaint rather than do the refund. I just hope I wouldn't lose my job for it, and I could. I'm sorry for my rant, that just made me think of my anger.

          • I would probably get fired… Because to me, I would have refused to allow a return unless she surrendered her UPs that she “earned”. I usually hear a new frustrating story every time I go in my Rite Aid about the crap people try to pull. Sometimes they want to know if there really was something legit they didn't know about, other times, they have something happen I warned them about (fraudulent coupons, etc) and they want to let me know the advice helped them stop some fraud from happening. But I see their frustration, and how they sometimes get in trouble merely for trying to NOT GET FIRED… If it's not a fraudster/rude couponer giving them h-e-double-hell, it's corporate getting on their case about something. And that frustrates me FOR them, because all the people at my store are fantastic about couponing.

            • *GGRRR* I can hardly believe it, but the SAME woman that tried to pass off OBVIOUSLY copied/fraudulent VV coupons came to the Woodruff, SC store AGAIN, and tried to do the same thing AGAIN, this time with her daughter. And THIS time, when the cashier wouldn't accept any other them, since the computer wouldn't, the woman had the greed-induced nerve to say pointedly, “Oh, that okay. I'll just call corporate again, and tell them how you wouldn't take my coupons, and THEY'LL SEND ME ANOTHER ONE.” I swear, if that woman is ever in the store the same time as I am (and I'm in multiple times a week), and will take the coupons myself and rip them up right in front of her and say “Take your greedy, evil self and go find some other store to defraud!”

              *DEEP BREATH* Rant over.

    • Jillianambersullivan

Does anyone know if the nivea is a deal going on in the murfreeesboro tn area? I went to the store today and it was not in the ad. Also, on the cold meds, does the 30 dollars have to be spent in 1 transaction? The store I went to only had 3 so I may have to split it up.

    • Reba

Can you still use $5/$25 coupons that you printed before they were removed?

      • Couponqueen

No. The stores registers will kick them out. I did not see the post before I went yesterday and the manager told me about it.

      • Bryarsmom

        YMMV on this one, Reba.

My Atlanta 'burbs location on Wade Green Rd. did take that $5/25. Mgr. worked her magic at the register :)

        • Aminehdestin

You're close to me too! I'm shocked at how many people posting on here shop at one of the 6 stores in Kennesaw/Acworth.

          • Shelby_a10

aminehdestin… this is kinda off topic but my husband and I are moving to kennesaw this spring….and I'm so excited that there are rite aids there… i've never been happier!!

            • Aminehdestin

It's a good place to live too. You'll have your pick of stores out here to jump around to, so you can find all of the deals you're looking for. You'll also figure out quickly which one people come in complaining about constantly. :-P Just don't follow Dianne's lead and go to Ceadercrest, we don't like them anymore. (and yes I'm joking)

            • Dianne

HA! Lots of RAs in this area have nice employees. There's only one I have found that I will not shop in-Stilesboro and Mars Hill.

            • Guest

I'm in the marietta area. Could ya'll give me some suggestions of which stores are more coupon friendly? Thanks.

            • Aminehdestin

My store is really coupon friendly. We follow the policy to the letter though, so if you're used to a store allowing overage, you won't at my store. We've had people come in and literally say “well the other store I go to doesn't”. I don't know which store that would be, but we really follow the rules. I'm at Acworth Due West/41 (store 11732). Dianne goes to the one 3 miles down from me at Ceadercrest and helps our competing store beat us in sales because she's mean. :-) I've had a few complaints about Kennesaw Due West and coupons lately and Mars Hill had some trouble a while back, but from what I've heard, they've become more friendly and accepting. Glade Rd (Cherokee St) is… well they apparently don't give much hassle w/coupons. CS isn't great from what half my customers have told me. Church St is the district store, but I've only been in there once and didn't like their CS.

            • Dianne

Yes, I am so mean–and loyal! It was good to meet you last week, and folks, her store is friendly! “My” store doesn't allow overages either.

            • Paige_Aminehdestin

Mean, mean, mean. It was good to meet you too! Make sure you stop in from time to time, at least when they don't have what you're looking for, maybe we will. BTW after I gave you the rain check for the Listerine, the manger came in with 20 bottles she ordered and had shipped to Mars Hill. We've got plenty now.

            • Dianne

I have run in the Whitlock store once or twice. They are nice.

            • Jeanne

Roswell Road in East Cobb. Brad, the manager, and Dawn, assistant manager, are the best. If the store is out it is not because Brad did not try to order enough. Sometimes corp. just doesn't ship what is order.

            • Dianne

Do you know that it's the law for Kennesaw city residents to own a gun? It's true, and it's known to be one of the safest cities to live in-really!

        • Dianne

It will work, but the store won't be reimbursed, I don't think.

      • Fallaya

        No

    • Reba

I wanted to buy 3 Alka Seltzer and 3 Bayer to reach my $30. If my store doesn't have $30 worth, could I get what they have and then go to another store to buy the rest. Or does it have to be $30 in one purchase? I know it's not normally cumulative, but in some cases (such as J&J and P&G and few weeks ago) it has been. Anyone tried this?

      • Loverly

        Reba,
I did the same with the candy in two transactions. My $10 for the $25 spent did not print out. I called today and they said that a few weeks ago their policy changed and now you have to do deal like that all on one transaction. They changed that at the same time they took off the limits they told me. What I do if the store I normally go to doesn't have the products in stock then I make them ring up the whole order and then give me a signed “I owe you”. I have two really good cashiers though at my store that know me now so they are happy to do this for me.

        • Aminehdestin

Not all stores will do that though. We did it for a customer a few times, but our inventory is getting too out of whack for us to be able to continue. The manager said that she didn't intend for it to be a weekly thing so we can't do it anymore. Rain checks will work though. Make sure when you ask for a rain check to have them write on it that there is a $10 reward that they should give you credit for- when you do buy it with the RC, the prices will be modified down to account not only for the sale but also the rewards.

          • Loverly

The reason I have them do this is because if I don't it messed up my other transactions since I'm counting on those UP's for the next one etc. So would rather mess up Rite Aid inventory than my weekly plans that I worked on so hard! ;D

            • Aminehdestin

I know it's easier on you, but a store may not be willing to do it. Inventory is a huge deal at the stores and if too many counts are off and having to be fixed after every truck, it could cause a store to close. So I was just giving a fair warning that not all stores will be as willing to do what yours is. We were at first, but it started getting too bad and we've had to stop.

    • melissa

Very frustrating trip to RA yest. Only one bottle of Nivea lotion on the shelf. When I asked if/when they had more manager said truck doesn't come for two weeks, and he didn't have any more ordered to even come on that truck. I asked “weren't you aware of the sale on this item? and maybe you'd need more than normal..” he muttered something about “no I don't keep up with all that….there's another ra down the street…”

      • guest

Ask for a rain check. I'm not sure if they'll give you the 5 +UP rewards…you'll have to ask a cashier.

        • Juliet12783

They write the raincheck for the price AFTER the up reward. I picked up a raincheck for the Nivea Lotion today. 99 cents was the price listed on the raincheck (the price after the +UP reward). I find that a much better deal since with a coupon it makes it FREE without having to outlay any money or roll rewards.

          • Fallaya

Awesome! I need some lotion very badly. I'm going to make a trip tomorrow to get a rain check for 3 Nivea lotions.

    • $avin'some$

so are my $5 off $5 VV coupons still good?

      • Aminehdestin

        Yes.

    • Quia

I don't usually read the coments (just don't think to do it) and I see am not the only one having issues at RA, there is only one in town for me, so I will try a different store if I go to a different area. The manager last week was having problems with the computer coupons and even though he honored them, he said the store will not get the money for it, the coupons only are reimburst to them when the machine scans it by itself, not manually. I asked him if he could check on his system, because I wasn't having any problems anywhere else with computer printed coupons, he said if it didn't go through nothing they can do. Mt Juliet TN

      • Islandboybpb

if that manager were to punch in the numbers under the barcode he will still get credit for the coupons…he's just being hateful

        • Quia

Yes, I think they are getting tired of dealing with coupons, even though I have not doubts their sales have gone up A LOT, because I never did go to RA before coupons…thx 4 ur commnent

    • Quia

One more thing, can someone please help me with the candy scenario? Never understood how I can use a coupon B1G1 when the item is already B1G1??? also the total doesn't add up for me oop $13.50 your help will be most appreciatted, thanks

      • Aminehdestin

It's in the policy that you can use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale, b/c the sale is basically the store paying for one and then the coupon is paying for the second, so you get both free. Also, the total adds up to $13.50 because the BOGO coupons are only good up to $.99 so if you factor that in the total coming off from those coupons is $4.95 instead of $7.95

        • Quia

Thnak you so much, that makes more sense now :)

    • Lizzy's Mom

Ok, I have only been shopping at Rite Aid about a month. I have no idea where to get the Clip & Save booklet. I went in and asked and they had no idea what i was talking about. Where do I get It?

      • guest

        The pharmacy.

      • Jesspeak

you have to go to a Rite Aid that is giving the flu shot, as the clip and save coupon booklet was intended to be given as a “reward” for getting your flu shot with Rite Aid…however, if you ask the pharmacy, they usually will give you one, without having to get a flu shot.

    • Up2stampin

Sad… the $5 off won't scan anymore.. If the store won't manually put it in… Its a lost coupon. I had several.. a 10/30/10 and a 11/30/10 neither one scanned.. and she blamed me saying they were copied. I simply hit print on my page. not copy them. Horrible experience

      • guest

Corporate pulled them. They are no longer valid.

      • hellosun1

        blame? bad choice of word.

      • Bnirrelevant

I used a $5 off coupon today and it scanned no problem. They may have pulled the $5 off coupons but the $4 off $20 is still available and I also have two $1 off coupons in my rewards for watching videos. Maybe this will help.

    • Kidsryourlegacy

Do you have to purchase the $30 in Bayer products in one transaction? Or will the rewards program record all of the items and once you reach $30 the UP rewards will print. thanks!

      • harmony84

I think you have to purchase all at one time. Last week I bought 4 bottles of Nivea bodywash at 2 different stores and my UP rewards didn't print. I returned them all and purchases together and it printed.

        • Kidsryourlegacy

          tks, appreciate your comment

          • Loverly

I called about this and they said the new policy is that the deals all have to be done on the same transaction.

    • harmony84

Today I had a co-worker ask me to find her some free shampoo; I directed her to Rite Aid. Thanks Jenny!

    • guest

If you want to buy (2) Aleve can you also use (2) In Ad coupons?

      • sww

i did this the other day to get enough for the $10UP on $30. there were only three alka seltzers, so i got two aleves for $8.99 each, used a $3 in ad on each, as well as two $2.00 printables that i had. worked without any problems! HTH!

    • Bamasaver

Stopped in yesterday right after church for just a few items…

      1 – L'Oreal mineral powder foundation @ $2.00 (clearance)

      Used

      1 – $2.00 MQ for L'Oreal

      2 – $1.00 MQ for Nivea

Total OOP (incl. tax) was $11.24; got $10.00 +ups for final cost of only $1.24!!

    • jrun

      • guest

i don't see a rite aid $4 off aveeno coupon. is it in the ad?

        • Islandboybpb

It was a VV Coupon last month.

    • Hello!!

I love the fact that everyone is saving money! But please have the correct coupons ready for the items that you are buying.

Also If you are going to get $10 in +UP REWARDS after buying $30 of Bayer, make sure you bought the $30 in Bayer. Nothing takes longer than having to refund your purchase, have you go get additional product to make $30 and then re-ringing the sale so you can get the +UP REWARDS.

You are wasting the store's associates time not to mention the four other customers in line behind you.

Don't get me wrong, I love that people are saving money and that Rite Aid is being reimbursed by the manufacturer. But please have your correct items and coupons ready for the cashier!!

      • Helen

Sorry If some one has to do extra that all part of the job! And they can call some to opena another resgiter , That the way it goe ,Justt because we aare using q an saving money i do not feel I have to always be prefect in my deals

        • Ashley

I see where both of you are coming from. I hate ineffeciency too, but the bottom line is you just have to relax and let people be how they are. You're not ever going to change anyone and make them less slow and more perfect nor would you have a job without slow and imperfect customers.

    • Ann

Is there a limit on the number of Pepsi's you can buy and get the UP Rewards? I would like to get 2 deals on this. Almost out of can drinks…

      • Aminehdestin

The Pepsi deal is a limit of one per household. There was a misprint in the ad, but stores got communication to make sure to sign the displays with “limit one offer”, due to such competitive pricing. For the most part though, all of the “vendor” deals in the ads from here on out, they'll all be a limit of one. The Coke was 2 weeks ago, and so were the Sunchips/Baked Lays. For the first part of the week though, the limit wasn't in the system so we had a few shocked customers when it suddenly stopped. I think the Pepsi was limited from the get go this week though.

        • What does “Vendor” mean? Name-brand food/drink items? Just curious.

          • Aminehdestin

Yeah, vendor items are what get brought in by the company rather than shipped from the warehouse. So Coke, Pepsi, Frito Lay, and any ice cream vendor. We had Herr's for a while but they never came in so we dropped them. We also have Sara Lee for bread now, and of course beer and wine if your stores carry it. If glasses ever go on sale with a reward, those will probably be limited as well since someone comes out and services those.

          • 1234

a vendor is who brings the product in like Pepsi vendors Coke vendors and Frito Lay vendors

      • Islandboybpb

If you're married, sign your husband or significant other up for a wellness account and use a different phone number.

    • guest

so, if i bought 3 packs of huggies would i get 6 UPs rewards?

      • Fallaya

        You should, yes.

        • Ashley

Ok, I keep seeing this… buy 3 packs get 6 total UP's and no one is saying how. Shouldn't you just get 3 UP's or is it a glitch in the system? Thanks!

          • I think the confusion is in the terms used. It's buy 3 jumbos, get (3) $2 UP rewards, for a total of $6.

    • Kristy

I have a question for my fellow Southern Savers in Greenville,SC. Is anyone else finding that almost none of these deals are available in the new stores? I went to the Rite Aid/Save Alot in Five Forks today and huggies were not on sale nor gave the up reward. ( I only brought them because I had that free coupon from a few months ago).

      • Debko

The Save-A-Lot/Rite Aids in the Greenville County, SC area do not have the same ads as Rite Aid because they no longer carry the same stock that is advertised in the RA ad. Maybe someone can post which stores in this area are still Rite Aids. I was told the Rite Aid in Powdersville is still a Rite Aid but I have not been there so I can't confirm that.

        • Kristy

No I think you are right. It is just a hassle to get used to shopping there and get great deals to BLAH.lol I miss my Rite Aid!

        • Joyce

Rite Aid in Powdersville and Piedmont are still Rite Aid.

        • Trotter2737

Rite-Aid in Piedmont and Williamston are still Rite-Aids.

    • sarah

thanks for encouraging integrity in saving.

    • Jrcouponator

Coupon Rant! I'm only 4 weeks into Jenny's plan but am already very frustrated at how quickly items sell out. Rain checks are great but I'd rather buy my items. Cashiers tell me folks are on the doorstep on Sundays and buy every item (16 bottles of dish detergent…really?). And some are reselling the items. I'm averaging 3 rainchecks at Rite-Aid every week. Its a pain to keep up with and throws off my UP rewards. 2 of my rainchecks will soon have to be re-written because the deadline is approaching and I still can't get the item. Thanks for letting me have a little hissy fit :-)

      • Dianne

        You're welcome!

      • Now see, they are allowed to set reasonable limits on customers. (stated to be as many as 5 of the same item in their coupon policy) so SOME of this is the store's fault for not limiting product so that other customers have a chance.

    • Coreen

I didn't read all 355 previous comments, so I'm probably duplicating someone else's discovery, but I found out that I have made the 'silver' level and now RA is giving me discounts on everything I buy. This sounds good, but it worked against me today when I tried to do the Alka Selzer deal today because, I bought 6, but I didn't get the extra $10 ups back because my total didn't hit $30 due to the little discounts I”m now getting on everything. Still a money-maker, but not as good as if I would have known ahead about that.

      • guest

What exactly does it mean that you have made the silver label??

        • Dharvn

10% off regular price unless the sale price is better.

      • Aminehdestin

That was actually one of the first comments, which I can imagine why you wouldn't go back that far. You'll just have to be careful now that you get a discount to factor that in to your scenarios.

    • Shelleybean

I'm almost to Gold status and am very excited. I did notice today (after 920 points) that my receipt says that these points will expire 12/31/2010. Does this mean that I will have to start over on 1/1/2011 to get Gold again?

      • Dharvn

omg. didn't know that. just got my card in july. i'm almost to gold status too, i'm at 867.

      • Aminehdestin

Your points will reset to 0 on Jan. 1st. BUT the good thing is, you will continue to get the discount that you reached this year throughout the following year. Next year, if you don't reach 1000 points again, then you're discount will default to the level you reached in 2011 for all of 2012. So get your points this year, and receive the 20% all of next year, and then if you only reach 672 or whatever in 2011, you'll get knocked down to the silver level for 2012 and the points will reset again. This will continue as long as the wellness program is in tact.

        • I didn't know that! Great news. I'm almost there. 2-3 more transactions, and I should be.

      • Sheila

Yes, unfortunately, per the Rite Aid website, the points accrue on a calendar year. Looks like we're starting from scratch again in January.

    • Even if you don't have the Renpure $3 VV coupon from last month, it is STILL a money maker if the bottles in your store have the “Try Me Free” rebate tags on them, because Renpure Shampoo is printing a $1 UP for each bottle!

BUY: 2 Renpure hair care items (1 needs a “Try Me Free” tag) @ BOBOF price

      Total: 6.99 plus tax

USE: $3 October VV coupon (earned last period)

      PAY:3.99 + tax

      GET: 2 – $1 UP rewards
1 – $6.99 rebate (or possible 3.99, if after coupons. Rebate takes 10-12 wks
      to process, btw)

$2-$5 money maker, and did anyone mention – it's organic and good stuff?

    • Reba

I’m not sure where to post this, but does anyone know if this is legit?
      https://orders.earlymoments.com/seussbooks.aspx?key=4PJ8&VendorCode=FCPF
It says 4 Dr. Seuss books for $0.99 each, Free Shipping, and a Free Tote. I received it in my e-mail after signed up for emails through babycenter.com. Just wondering what you all thought. Sorry for posting this on Rite Aid.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

That kind of deal has been around *forever*. There are a lot of catches. If it seems like something you want, just read the fine print about 6 times to make sure all of the little add ons make the deal still worth it. Often, those deals have something attached where you are obligated to buy 6 more at regular price within a year or something. I don't have time to go to the site & play with it right now b/c I'm just off work and tired, but just be careful.

    • Maverick

Did anyone else not get the Alka Selzer coupons in their RP 10/24?

    • Guest

The $5/$25 coupons are being accepted by the registers again. There is one expiring on 12/31 that was still being accepted by the register all along. The ones expiring on 10/31 and 11/30 were beeping for awhile, but they are working again. This leads me to believe that there was some sort of programming error made (and later corrected) since they were not working and are now working again.

      • Dianne

Are you meaning the pdf ones are working now? Paige, can you confirm this?

        • Wog703

pdf worked for me – no beeping

        • Paige_Aminehdestin

Look at my post above. The old PDFs will likely still beep, or it may just be linked to your wellness card, but everything we've been told, I posted a minute ago.

          • Guest

They do NOT beep any longer. The codes have been restored in Rite-Aid's system, they are working fine. I have personally used the coupon that expires on 12/31 (NOT the redplum coupon, but one that circulated as a pdf which is originally received as a 'welcome' for joining some part of the rite-aid site) and it goes through the register as it should.

    • Maverick

Please provide a link to the 12/31?

      • Guest

It's one that was emailed out as a 'welcome' gift – I think for signing up for the Wellness website (either that or the main RA website, can't remember). There was also one expiring 12/31 that was found on replum dot com. Sorry, I'm not posting any links b/c at the top of the page it states that any posting of links will be removed.

    • Did the math, and I got $124.21 in retail goods for only $18.12 out of pocket, and after UPs and rebates, I MADE $24.87!

I got Charmin, Renpure, NYC make-up, Aveeno shampoo, Alka-Selzer Plus, One-A-Day Vitacraves, and TEN bags of Kit Kat/Reeses! (2 were immediately given a thank-yous to the two employees that didn't get mad at me for coming in so late in the day. It was 10:10pm when I left. LOVED the surprised and thrilled look on their faces!)

Going back some time this week for more NYC makeup, since it's free and maybe a few other small, but good deals. Saving my few RP $5/$25s for future weeks, though.

      • Reba

Would you post the best trxn for the Kit Kat/Resses's, please? :) I love reading your posts because you follow the rules like Jenny. Thank you!

        • I'll do the candy:

          BOUGHT: 10 bags fun/snack size Reese's/KitKats

          TOTAL: $25.00 exactly

          USED: (1) $5/$25 RP printable
          (1) $1 off any purchase VV Bonus coupon (legitimately usable with RP coupon, but NOT other VV Bonus coupons, btw)
          (5) $1/2 bags Reese's/Kit Kat/Hersheys from SS 10/17

          OOP: $14.00

          GET: (1) $10 UP reward

FINAL PRICE: $4 for TEN bags of candy! An even better deal than 2 weeks ago! (Plus, I used UPs that were profit from previous transactions to pay for mine. My OOP was only $7)

      • Brooke

Please share how you got this!!

        • And here is what I did with the NYC deal: I used the All You coupon WITH the $1 printable All-You exclusive coupon, and got 2 eye make-up products with them, which got me 2 free nail polishes, and EVERY item earned a $1 UP reward! (This was Tuesday. Some are reporting that the UPs are now limited. I can only say what I got) Depending on the price of what you buy in this scenario, you can get it all for free, or even MAKE some money!

It was three transactions, so that would be a lot to post.

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

Based on customers going store-to-store, I can confirm a limit of at least 18 as of tonight. So I don't really think there's a limit based on that. We only have about 10 nail polishes left at this point and I'm trying to limit, but NYC never sales otherwise so it's tempting for me to tell anyone who wants it to take it all….

    • dhmelton

      When it says…

      Use:
      (6) -$3 off Alka-Seltzer Plus Fast Powder pk, RP 10/24

Do you have to have like 6 actual coupons from the Sunday coupon inserts on 10/24 to get in on this deal? If so, how do ya'll get so many coupon inserts to total to 6 coupons for this deal?

      Thanks,

      Dustin

      • Ashley

Yes. You either buy 6 papers or order individual coupons from a coupon clipping service.

        • dhmelton

          Thanks for your response!

    • Sweetheartface

Maybe someone already discovered this but, on the NYC deal you also get a $1 up reward for the free nail polish that is $1.99, so you actually get 2 $1 up rewards with this deal.

      • Sheila

I went yesterday afternoon, but only one printed for me. None for the free nail polish.

    • Diana

Bummer for me, my local paper didn't have any redplum coupons in it this week. So alot of the deals aren't quite as good for me. :(

I can still to okay though, so off a shopping I go.

      • akellyinva

I'm in VA and got 5 papers. Only 1 had RedPlum. My mom was missing hers as well. Was wondering if anyone else was missing theirs.

    • PaulaB

I didn't really need anything here this week, so what a surprise it was when I had an awesome shopping trip. I have discovered my new favorite ad weeks – shopping with rainchecks!

I had raincheck B1G1 Purex and Lysol wipes with $3 +UP and $2 VV qs and $2.5 from Clip&Save and 2 $3 man qs. Then Aveeno with $4 VV plus $1 +UP and Huggies with $2 VV, $2.5 man q and $2 +UP, and a leftover $5/25 from October. OOP $1.47 tax with $3 +UP remaining!!!!

      • Uabmathgeek

My store told me that they can't do +UP on rainchecks. I've missed out on all kinds of awesome deals in the past because the only ones that I have been able to use rainchecks for are the ones that have sale prices without any +UP rewards. Do most stores allow +UPs on rainchecks?

        • mrsmadayar

I had to get a rain check on a +UP item last week. The items were 2 for $4 with $1+UP on 2. What they did was give me a rain check for the final price of 2 for $3. They did the same thing a few weeks ago for an item that had an in-ad coupon.

    • Paige_Aminehdestin

Just wanted to let you all know that we finally got some correspondence about the $5/$25! My manger was excited that at least we have something to show customers when they beep, and wanted me to come on and transfer the info to all of you. :-) She knows that I'm on here and that ya'll help me help the store and that I normally know things like the coupons not working before we would in store because of some of these sites. She's a lot like me, love honest couponers while dreading the fraudsters who do come in. So, here's what the info sent to us says:

“As you know, a few weeks ago we began serializing our $5 off at $25 purchase coupons for one-time-use. Although we no longer produce coupons without the serialized, one-time-use barcode, some of the coupon websites duplicated our older, non-serialized coupon and made these coupons available for their followers, which was not authorized by Rite Aid. We have removed these barcodes from out database to prevent the unauthorized overuse of these coupons.

If a customer presents one of these coupons, the cashier will receive an “unauthorized coupon” or “coupon not found” message. If they see this message, they should inform the customer that their coupon was not a genuine coupon authorized by Rite Aid, but was instead duplicated by an online service without approval of Rite Aid.

Serialized one-time-use coupons will continue to scan correctly at the register”

I thought about this a while ago, that maybe someone was actually taking one of the old coupons and changing it so that the expiration date rotated with the months, as did the end of the “barcode” since it ends in the expiration date. Many of those old coupons didn't beep as expired once they did expire. I really didn't want to accuse anyone of that though, but based on this correspondence and the bits and pieces of info we've gotten otherwise, that seems like it may be exactly what was happening. Especially since they've been uploaded to image hosting sites and it's been a few months at least since I've seen one linked directly to the portal (where the old ones were *always* from. So, I don't know who will receive them from here on out, or how, but they are being released. You'll only be able to use it once though, just like the VV coupons.

      • Dianne

Thanks for the details! I guess I am still a little confused. So, the coupons that we have printed from Red Plum that look like ordinary coupons, with expiration dates and our IP address all around the border and expire 12/31/2010 are still OK, but the pdf ones with the little box printed in the middle of the page are what's no good. Is that correct?

I am way tired. I think when I read this in the morning, I'll realize that there was an easier way to word this comment! :)

        • Paige_Aminehdestin

No, no, you make perfect sense. This email is *only* about the PDF coupons that weren't really monitored or limited at all. The Red Plum coupons are authorized, or Red Plum (or coupons(dot)com) wouldn't have them up whenever they do. I think you can always count on coupons you find on their to be legit. No worries on those. The PDF coupons were once the only way RA sent out the total purchase coupons, then the VV started and the PDFs kind of got phased out on most sites, because obviously everyone was setting their printers to print multiples of the VV coupons even though the rules said that you only earned the one. So when they changed the system, they thought they'd fixed the issue with people having unlimited access to these “bonus” special coupons, and then we had the attack of the PDFs. That's what I'm guessing they are putting back out, but each one will have it's own barcode (like your VV do) or the barcode will just be linked to your wellness card, either way, one time use and after that, it won't go through. Basically, any coupon you get from a truly valid website like red plum, are fine, and anything you get directly from the rite aid site is obviously fine. It's those that no one really seems to know where they came from, why is why so many people (like Jennifer) were concerned that they weren't legit at all. From what I gather, they probably, never were valid, even for that one time use. We'll see if they start emailing customers with the PDF again, so we can see the difference. If no one on here gets one before me, once I get one in store I'll make sure to inspect it closely so maybe I can tell if there is a difference.

The Coupon from Red Plum still works

      • Guest

The info stating that the coupons have been removed from the system is incorrect – yes it's true that they weren't working for a few days, however they have all been restored in Rite-Aid's registers. I follow several couponing sites and MANY people have found that various pdf versions of the $5/$25 that WERE NOT working are now currently scanning into the register just fine again. I know you are passing along what you have been told, but what you have been told does not match up with people's experiences over the past 2 days. If the coupons were removed to invalidate them, why would they be restored again? I just don't understand the logic. If they are fraudulent and Rite-Aid wants to stop people from using them, they would remain invalidated and would continue to not be accepted by the registers, but that is not the case. I find this very confusing and wish Rite-Aid would tell people what's REALLY going on, b/c this story does not match up with what people have been reporting.

        • Paige_Aminehdestin

I know. I emailed again to ask why we're getting info after the fact that they were deleted, just for them to add them back to the system less than 24 hrs. later. Grr. Just trying to keep everyone updated, and if/when I hear back I will pass that along as well. At this point, I have no idea what's going on.

          • Guest

Thank you for trying to stay current and be helpful – I know it's probably frustrating when you're told something that doesn't seem to make sense a day later.

    • Beth

Is there a limit on the UP reward with the Nivea lotion? Do I have to purchase them seperately to get each reward?

      • Aminehdestin

I know you can get at least 7, with at least 4 in one transaction. So I'm assuming there's probably no limit on those at all.

        • Beth

Thanks for the info. I actually found a store that had some in stock, but I only bought 1 thinking that was the limit. I'll be going back this afternoon.

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

We ordered extra on Sunday since we got truck on Tuesday so we have plenty in (now). It makes me happy, and all thanks comes to Southern Savers or else I never would've known that we needed to order extra. I think we got 60, so we're limiting 4 per customer.

            • Dianne

Well, I'm coming to see you, then! Eric is limiting it to one per customer, and he had a whole shelf full Tuesday! When will you be in?

            • Aminehdestin

I heard that from another customer! I'll be in at 3 tomorrow and 2 Saturday. We're only keeping about 4 on the shelf and limiting to about that, but if you wait 'til Sat. we can stretch that limit since obviously we don't want to keep 30 in the backroom (which we have 34 back there as of closing tonight!).

            • Dianne

See you Saturday! :) Oh, no! Will my purchase help you “beat” Eric's store?

            • Paige_Aminehdestin

I doubt it. Sunday and Tuesday were painfully slow for us, so he'll probably still have us. :-(

    • MommaTonk

Im a little confused about Target coupon page. Are those just for Target stores? Or do they have a general coupon site sponsored by Target?

      • Guest

Some coupons on Target's site are strictly Target Store coupons, others are manufacturer's coupons which can be redeemed anywhere that accepts manufacturer's coupons. You really can't tell until you print them out. (unless someone else that's already printed it out tells you).

    • Dianne

Does anyone know if you can do two deals on the get$10+UPs wyb $30 in Bayer products? I did one already, but with the new rules about otc drugs and the HSA, I am trying to stock up on otcs before 12/31.

      • Klynn

I got two deals this week and got $10 up both times.

    • Diana

I spent a total of $35 and some change in Rite Aid and got $155 worth of product. I have $9 UP left and silly me didn't use one of my $5/$25 coupons, But I still need to go back for some Goodnites. Kinda exciting YAY!!!!!!!

    • Ktrmunson

what zip code is the aveeno coupon being found in?

      • Elizabethconner

I know it works under 28054

    • KT

I bought 2 jumbo packs of Huggies diapers (31 ct), NYC lipstick (1) *FREE*, NYC nail polish (1) *FREE*, box of Platex tampons (18 ct). Spent $14. Not bad, not great. I really wanted the Nivea lotion and Charmin toilet paper, but they were out & gave me rainchecks for each. Kinda threw me, as I had planned out to get the cheapest price possible with the +UP rewards & multiple transactions. **FYI cashier said no limit was listed for the lotion so you can put as many as you want on the raincheck.**

      • Busycarebear

how many packs of diapers can you get up rewards on?

        • Angelareid821

I have bought 9 packs so far in 3 transactions and $2 up's have printed for each one every time. HTH!!

    • beverly McGee

Will the up+ print if you use a rain check later? Nivea lotion this week as an example.

The Rite Aid on South Main in greenwood SC is the best!!! great manager and employees!!!

      • Saeweardsmith

I am in Lexington, SC…at my store…when I use a raincheck..they take the up off like its a coupon…which is fine with me….so for the lotion…it wouuld happen like this…$5.99 – $1 Q & $5 UP= $0…you will have to pay tax! If ever my Q's exceeded the amount due…they adjust and I pay 0…with no making money! Hope this helps!

    • Reba

There is a Bayer Contour USB Meter on sale for $29.99 (Regularly $74.99). There is a $40 Video Value. Is it okay to use the overage towards something else if the cashier does not adjust the VV down? There are also manufacturer coupons for $10 and $20 that qualify for this item. Along with a $5/$25, you're looking at $25 overage. Is that ok?

      • Reba

Sorry, I meant to say up to $35 overage.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

I've seen this on other boards, but according to policy the answer is no. We're always supposed to modify one of the two coupons down so that you get the item for free, but that manufacturer is not stuck paying for items purchased that aren't theirs.

      • Guest

Rite-Aid's official coupon policy states that coupon redemption cannot exceed the selling price of the item. In other words, no overage allowed. If the cashier lets it go through b/c they didn't notice you were getting overage, they could potentially get in trouble – I'd think they might even face being fired for not adhering to Rite-Aid's official policies. I don't want that on my conscience. Somebody at RA that puts together the sales and the coupons really screwed up, that doesn't mean we should expect to get to take advantage of it in a way that so obviously goes against the store's policy.

        • Reba

Ok, I will let the cachier know they need to adjust it down if they fail to catch it themselves. Thanks for the tip.

    • Christie

Did anyone else get their Stopain sample and coupon today in the mail instead of the $2 rebate? I'm kind of bummed, but oh well. Can't win 'em all! At least they sent a $2 coupon with the sample. Next time they're “free” at Rite Aid, we can get our money up front!

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

That was one of the rebates that truly did say “not valid with any other offer” so since it was on freebate at Rite Aid the week most people bought them, the MIR offer doesn't apply. There was question about it that week. I am happy they sent people the $2 coupon though.

    • Cccshopper

      Boogie Wipes website has a $2/1 coupon for Halloween. If you get 20% off buy 7 @ $3.19 = $22.33 – 7 $2/1 coupons – 1 $4 off $20 VV = $4.33 (average of 62 cents each)

    • Susan

      Another Rite Aid Freebie

Dr Scholls Fast Flats $9.99 (reg. price)

      -4.00 All You Mag October

-4.00 Video Values either Oct or Nov

      -2.00 In-Ad Coupon

Free plus .01 overage, the manager rang me up, she did not have a problem scanning all 3 coupons. Nice little gift for my daughter-in-law.

      • Cccshopper

I got some of these last week I think it was, when we had the $4 off VV. They are horrible! I tried them on & was going to give them as gifts. I would be ashamed to do so. They are too thin & I could see the outline of my toes! The sizing is also messed up. I am 8.5 to 9. I tried my size, but WAY too big. Then I tried the others…way too small. I think I'll give them to goodwill.

        • Susan

WOW, I did not try them on. Thought my daughter- in-law might like them. I am glad they were free. LOL

    • Motherof4

Anyone know where the clip & save booklets are located in the stores? I can't find them in mine (I'm in TN)?

      • kaseyshadow

They are supposed to be only given out if you get a flu shot from the pharmacy. So some stores that don't give flu shots did not get them. Some stores are giving them out if you ask. I haven't been brave enough to ask in the Cola, SC area.

Has anyone recieved the Glam Camp Bag recently I been waiting for a while now ?
