:( I was excited about that

      • Donna

Shoot, I just tried to print that one too. Bummer!

    • Steve

For the $2 up+ back on the light bulbs – it says limit 4. Can I do all 4 in 1 transaction and get back $8 total up+, or do I have to seperate them into 4 transactions?

      • Andre

        All at once

      • Allthatglitters2009

you can do all 4 at the same time.

    • Dianne L

Anyone know about the date for that People Espanol issue that's listed for the Charmin coupon? Thanks!

    • Debbie

I'm sure this has been answered thousands of times before :) but I'm fairly new – can you get the winter reward more than once or is there a limit of 1?

      • Mel

Limit of 1. After it prints on your receipt, it says, “You have already received the winter reward” from them on.

      • pscmom

There is a limit of 1 per.

    • Mel

The Revlon make up has an acorn next to it… any idea what the prices are on any of that?

      • dee

Can you imagine how many Revlon products there are and what it would be like to list them all with their different prices? lol

    • Jeff

LOL – Sugar-free Peeps??? – how is that possible???

    • Lori

I have not double checked my inserts, but it looks like there are soft soap coupons in the 1/30 SS, including a $1/1 or a $0.75/1?

      • Ladybugpam

I got a 35cents of one and it's for 8oz and larger! the ones on sale are 7.5:( I was disappointed by this realization on a previous sale w/a similar coupon, so I check for it now. Good news tho! In my area of SoCal, one of our Krogers is called Food4Less and their softsoap is on sale until next Tues for 88cents, and it's an 8oz bottle!!! Used the q to get it for 53cents:) wished I'd had more than one of those q's! Food4Less does not double q's.

        • Bamasaver

Also check at Target. My local store currently has a bonus twin pack of Softsoap liquid refill (two 56 oz bottles) on clearance @ $5.08! Add a Q onto that & it's a really great deal.

    • Awsixweavers

If anybody's Winter Reward totals are varying wildly from receipt to receipt read this: I went from $50+ one day to less then $20 on my next receipt. It was driving me crazy so I called Rite Aid and was told there was slight tabulation printing issues but the computer “knew” my real total…I asked him to check my account anyway and it turned out I had TWO accounts. One under my phone # and one when I used my card. I lost my card one time and was given a new one so thats when it happened.
At any rate he combined them and I am a happy camper with a new, accurate $87 Winter Reward Balance. Something to think about if this is happening to you.

    • Fallaya

Comet x 2, Ragu x 2, toothpaste x 2 and Ziplock bags X 2. Looks like an ok week with a few things I actually need!

    • Fallaya

Actually, I'll skip the Crest, since they is a similar ECB deal at CVS.

    • Katkoupon

Comet mq won't work. It's for .35/1 Comet SOFT Cleanser or Spray, SS 1/23.

    • Rntobe10

As far as the winter reward, will it print the up rewards like usual or do you have to submit your receipt? I hope it just prints, I don't have every receipt I believe.

      • Alex

it prints at the bottom of the receipt

    • SKMsMom

If it's a B1G1 deal, can I still use 2 $1/1 coupons or can I only use one since one of the items is essentially free?

      • michelle R

u can use 2 at riteaid

      • Marlenecu

        You can use both.

    • Free toothpaste & free deodorant sounds good to me! Thanks for the list! :-D

    • May29429

The dove deoderant will be on sale for $2 each and if you buy 2 you get a $2 up? And you can use 2 of the $2.00 off coupons so you actually profit $2? Still new at this :(

      • CCShad

I think you are right about making profit on that deal. So, even if you use 2 of the $1/1 Degree, they would be free! Good time to stock up and/or get for charity.

    • Manda166

how come i always seem to be missing coupons and i have to different ss and rps sometimes…. kinda going nuts

      • Manda166

        two different

      • Erin

Manda, if your newspaper doesn't get all the coupons, it might be because it is a smaller newspaper. For instance, where I live, the AJC in Atlanta has all the great coupons. But, my paper from Columbus has fewer coupons because it is not such a “big” paper. Sigh. I feel your pain.

        • Dtour620

Manda, I'm in Manchester and sometimes make a run to Moreland to get the AJC, you are right about Columbus paper….with the military base there you would think the CLE paper would step it up!

          • dee

Its not up to the newspapers. They want to sell newspapers so they would put them all in if they could. I tell our newspaper guy about it all the time, he says hes been trying…

    • Leigh

I moved and didn't have internet for a few months. I was still couponing with coupons from the weekly paper. Now, that I'm back, I'm a little confused. Did Rite Aid stop the $5/$25 and $4/$20 coupons?

      • Erin

Leigh, Rite Aid stopped having the “awesome” $5 off 25 (or 20) from Video Values around December, I think, and I haven't seen a Red Plum Rite Aid coupon in awhile. The best coupon we have seen lately is watching the beauty videos to get a $4 off 20 coupon on the Video Values site. Sorry. :-(

        • Leigh

Is the coupon policy still the same as far as using a VV q and a MQ on one item?

          • Wdra0632

Just click on the Wellness + online if you are loggin into your account, there should be box on the left of the screen that says Wellness + offers in this box you will find your coupons. Just click on the link and print. HTH

            • Nikki

Thanks! I registered awhile back, but there's a $5/$25 Q waiting for me that expires in May.

        • Wdra0632

If you sign your card up online on the RA website you get a 5/25 every 2 weeks. I have received 2 since I joined a month ago. Just have to check in on your account to print out the coupon. They do not announce that you have one. Got one last week so no q. this week. Maybe next week. HTH

          • Nita Royal

You're getting this every 2 weeks?! Can you describe where on the site to find it? I've only had one of these – EVER. Thanks!

          • Sandy

No guarantee in getting the $5 coupon. Myself nor my 4 sisters have never gotten them. How'd you get so lucky ????

      • dee

actually if you register your wellness card you can still get the five off twenty five when you click on the little gray box at the upper left hand side of the web page there will be a list in that box (very small) and you can click on the one that says wellness something or another. This only works when you register your wellness card. and you can get the four dollars from watching the vv and a few 1 dollar off and sometimes a 2 dollars off one so its better than 5 off in the long run. Sorry if thats so scrambled up that it doesnt make sense.

        • Teaguewoman

Thanks so much! I just printed mine out!!!

    • i am $17 away from my $20 reward. ;)

i think i can make it this week with almost all free stuff – thanks jenny!!!

    • Mingram12

So frustrated because my Smart Source never has the coupons I need! Does anyone know zip code for:

GE light bulbs, Comet, Speed Stick, Colgate or Ziploc?

Also Red Plum – Axe and Dove deodorant?

      Thanks

      • Amy

As far as I know, there is no printable for the light bulbs (there is a VV though). The comet coupon is for a different product. Speed stick and Colgate coupons are on the Colgate website under “special offers” – not sure on the value. I think there used to be a $1/2 Ziploc on coupons.com but I don’t see it now. There is a $1.50/2 Dove coupon on their website. The Axe coupon were just in the paper. Sorry I couldn’t be of any more help. =(

        • pinchshopper

Ther is a $2/1 on the light bulb multi-pack. I used two of them yesterday for a purchase of 4 single light bulbs.

      • dee

        try 37664

        • Mingram12

Still no luck but thank you!

    • Cchas

The rite aid clerk at my store said that they can no longer take cupons that are over the amount of the product that is being purchased. example: Gain dishwashing liquid $.87 she said that I cannot use a $1.00 off cupon for that item

      • Amy

They should take it but adjust it down to .87 to avoid overage. They do not allow overage in their coupon policy (although sometimes it happens by luck!)

        • DebTN

          Does CVS allow overages? Walgreens?

          • jeannie

sometimes at walgreens you might get lucky, but not usually. however, winn-dixie always has for me. its just harder to find those deals at winn dixie unfortunately.

            • Syndilew

My RA always gives me the overage. CVS doesn't anymore. As of last week this doesn't happen. I have never had a problem with RA doing overage. In fact I prefer to shop there over CVS for this specific reason.

      • Michelle R

I had the same exact issue at my rite aid a few weeks ago when i pushed the issue and spoke to a manager he said they could override the price of the dish soap to $1.00 and take the coupon. he said that if they change the amount of the coupon they wont get credit for it. it worked out good for me try

        • Cynthia

That makes more sense than the way the cashier worked it yesterday for me. I had gotten 3 of the ExcedrinPM and used 3 $2.50/1 coupons. She never scanned the coupons, but punched in 1.99 man. Q for each one. I asked her if Rite Aid would still get the 2.50 when she did it like that, and she said no, that they go by the register transaction.

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

Your cashier is right. We don't send our coupons directly to the clearing house for reimbursement, they get sent to corporate with a list of what was taken. Those get matched up, and then the coupons that we don't get reimbursed for get pulled out. The others then get sent to the clearing house for credit. I mark part of the bar code on adjusted coupons, and we always write the amount it was taken for on the coupon (that way corporate can match it with the list), but having the bar code blacked out, makes it so the clearing house can't scan it, and it has to be entered manually for them as well, *hopefully* preventing fraud on Rite Aid's part as well. Adjusting coupons is to prevent breaking fraud laws, so I don't want to do that just to commit corporate coupon fraud by being paid back the face value. lol.

        • Paige_Aminehdestin

Wait, are you saying that they adjusted the price of the dish soap to $1 so that the coupon was taken for the price of the item? Or that they just accepted the $1 coupon for the cheaper sales price? We aren't supposed to modify product up, but really it's not a big deal, I don't guess. Except that would cause you to pay more in tax…

      • dee

The clerk at your store is mistaken. She can accept it and should accept it. She just has to punch it in manually for .87 cents. Which is possible, easy, and expected. And the company still gets reimbursed. The only ones we dont get reimbursed for if we dont scan them are the up rewards. Those must be scanned. Anything else can be entered manually!

        • Paige_Aminehdestin

Apparently we may not get paid back for the manually entered ones. Eek. My SM and I were talking about it, it's something about not being able to obviously match it with the item sold. There was something released shortly after the latest coupon policy update, which said what we get paid back for. We're playing with how to enter them, because we think there's a way to type it in, and it still connect to an item, but it asks for a price to be typed in. I *think* I got it to work yesterday! Now, we don't know for sure that we don't get paid back if we enter it as a manufacturer's coupon, but that letter did indicate that we don't. If it turns out that what I did yesterday does link to an item and such, we'll try and send it to our DM and get the info spread out so that all stores can start doing it as well. There's no reason for us to lose money just because we modify a coupon by a penny. :-)

    • hd_mom

Jenny has the Aleve listed with +UP rewards, but all the coupons listed with that entry are for Advil. Is the sale for Aleve, Advil or both?

    • Linden

I get all of the coupons in my paper and I still can't find the lightbulb coupon. I looked it up on her coupon database and didn't see it there either. Has anyone found it?

      • dee

they are printable cant remember if i got mine at coupons.com or smart source or red plum but I did print them, while youre at it, go back to southernsavers ad for kroger starting 1/30 and print off all the johnson and johnson baby product coupons, save those for 2/20s sale at rite aid to score free J and J and desitin, and get all the sambucol dollar off coupons for the sale after that to score free sambucol!

      • Bamabobbie

I found it in mine. Maybe just kinda hard to see. Sometimes it's like that for me. Good luck.

      • Jlocklear1234

I can't find mine either nor can I find the Axe or Secret Clinical B1G1 I can only find the B2G1

Jenny will commonly post the limits if they're known when she does her list. Sometimes, it's not in the ad but a notice gets sent out to stores that we post stating what the limit is. So far, I don't think we've gotten anything for this coming week. We'll see after tomorrow if anything is limited.

    • Courtney

noticed there is a .50 VV coupon for the GE CFL bulb, makes the deal even better

    • Nbasshelton

I'M PRETTY SURE THERE IS A 50 CENT Q FOR THE LIGHT BULBS AT THE RIGHT AID VIDEO VALUES SITE.

    • Hesperides

Wait, so why wouldn't the $5 off any Maalox work on the Maalox at $4.99?

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

It should work, but just adjusted down to $4.99. One small problem though, I think all of the Maalox has been recalled. I'm almost positive that is the one that we had to pull all of. I tried searching on Google, but can't find it for sure, so I may be wrong.

        • Hesperides

          Thanks Paige!!

        • Tginnie

It is Mylanta that was recalled

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

You're right, but we did have some Maalox recalled too. I was looking at it when I put up the signs. It was something to do with the “total” or something, and it's not interchangeable with the others. That's what I found when I Googled it. So, only a couple were actually pulled, and we have some of the recalled ones back in, with new labels, so please forgive and forget the original reply, as it seems to be irrelevant for the most part now.

    • Danielle

There are $2 video coupons for the Everpure so this will make it a better deal. $5.99 *2 less $4 manu coupon $4 rite aid coupon and $2 up makes it $1.98 for 2 if I am calculating this correctly.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Oh, but be careful, the VV coupons are one per customer so most stores are only going to allow 1 to be used, even if you have multiple accounts to get multiple coupons. We double checked with our DM because people keep coming in with different accounts and are telling us that “the other stores” allow it, and he did say that we should enforce the terms of the video values, especially since it's a program that Rite Aid runs in conjunction with Ad Perks and the manufacturers who have teamed up to run their ads. I keep pushing this on here, and I apologize for sounding like a broken record, but I really like the VV program and don't want the company to cut back on it again because of something silly like people signing everyone they know and the family dog up for accounts just to save an extra couple of dollars. Still, even just using the one VV and 2 MQs, after the +UP it's only $3.98 for the 2, or $1.99 each, which is great for that line.

        • Dianne N

Thanks for this info. I didn't realize you couldn't use coupons from someone else's vv account. I keep reading that they are not specific to your wellness card so I thought you could. My husband has an account & so do I. If you only use one vv account per transaction is that ok? Say my husband makes a purchase using his account and then I make a purchase using mine but we use the same wellness card. Is that ok or not? I want to get the best possible deal but I want to do it honestly within the rules too.

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

A lot of people don't realize it, especially since so many stores are afraid of ruffling feathers, that they just do it without so much as a second thought. You could do the deal, and then have your husband do the deal. That's perfectly within the terms of the Ad Perks program. It's actually in their terms, something about only “you” using the coupon that “you” earn and one per account. That's why I was so confused when people got upset when they started serializing, because everyone agreed to the terms when they set up their accounts. lol. Even if you buy both sets in two transactions, I'd suggest not doing it back to back, because then the cashier ringing you knows that you've already used it, and should try and enforce the rules. Even though chances are, they won't, good cashiers are harder to come by than people think, so I kind of want to protect them. :-) So, if your husband doesn't want to shop or whatever, split it in to 2 days or something, just to keep everyone in good shape. Since obviously you and your husband both have accounts, you did both earn a coupon, so you should be able to use them. I think we were only told to enforce it because of the blatant abuse (again). We have customers who have a dozen or more accounts- their name, their maiden name, all 3 kids, the husband, the mother, the MIL, father and FIL and seriously, I've had someone have their family dog with an account. While it can seem kind of funny, my big issue is that I *REALLY* like the VV program, which I mention a lot. I don't want it to be cancelled.

    • Sandy

There was a B1G1 colgate sensitive in the NC paper recently, can be used with the $1Q. That makes the toothpaste deal really sweet!!

      • Jenni P

Do you happen to know what week and insert that was?

    • I'm new to RiteAid…if she doesn't list a limit on the UP deals, do you assume it's a limit of 1 or can you do those multiple times?

For instance, I have a few $1.50/2 Dove deodorant q's and a couple of $2/1. If they only cost $2 and you get $2 UP WYB 2, that's either $2 profit on every 2 or $.25 each…can I do that several times?
      Thanks!

      • Sandy

Yes, you can. If there is no limit in the ad, it is usually unlimited. I know the deodorants are producing multiple ups.

        • Klynn

          What kind and how many?

      • cat

I think you can do it several times. Just don't be like the guy in front of me at RA this morning – I got there at opening and he was already in the deodorant aisle loading up his cart – I think he had over a dozen deos. Fortunately he left 2, which I grabbed, but I feel sorry for anyone else that is looking for them for the rest of the week…

        • Courtney

I got at mine at 11:00 (hubby didnt have to be at work till then and since his work is close and I drive him I just make the stop after dropping him off). There were only 2 left, cashier made the comment that several ladies had already been in there clearing them all away.

          • That stinks! I try really hard not to be greedy. I never seem to make it to the store on the first day of a sale and there are a lot of extreme couponers who shop my stores so I get lots of rainchecks. I'm figuring out when the trucks come during the week and I try to get there that day if there's something I really want. When there is something I want a bunch of, I try to be considerate…I'll go to two different stores or check back a different day but I don't think I've ever cleared the shelves :)

    • Gina

      Hi, I am writing about the Prilosec deal…Is the math wrong on that one? Here is what I am getting….2xPrilosec OTC = $49.98 – 7up rewards – 7up rewards = $35.98 – $8/2 man coupon = $27.98 – $25 Mail In Rebate = $2.98 for both

not 13.99 plus $25 MIR like shown above…Am I correct or am I missing something????

      • Frugal4eva

Was wondering the same thing! Super awesome deal if it is really $3!

      • Frugal4eva

I just saw that you can not combine the rebate with any other offer….so I know you can't use the coupon – but with the UPS, IDK?

        • Gina

Hi Frugal! I have seen that most of the rebates I have done say not combined with other offers…I have probably submitted about 40 rebates last year, with no problems…They always sent the advertised rebate amount…In saying this most of the deals I do, I don't break into seperate transactions (I have only seperated transactions maybe 6 times)…So my total out of pocket on receipts is usually at least the rebate amount…I am not looking to make money couponing,I am looking at saving money & always nice to get things free…I have only submitted 3 rebates where the dollar amount out of pocket on the reciept was less than rebate amount…They still paid me the full rebate amount…I am pretty sure they could technically send less if they wanted too…I am not sure if others have the same experience…Also I have used coupons on most other rebates with no problems…Have a great day!

      • Rina

yes you are correct. did mine like this a week or two ago. i do most of my rebates with coupons and 'store money' and have never had an issue. coupons usually aren't considered an offer. offers usually refer to other rebates. hth.

      • Roberta

I think what she means is out of pocket before mail in rebate would be 13.99 each (13.99 x 2 = 27.98). After rebate 2.98.

      • Gina

Thanks so much everyone :0) I can see it now…Ok,I'm definitely not a math major & I forgot the website normally lists the price per item, not combined…Thank you :0)

    • Courtney

I just have to say I love Riteaid. I got 2 dove deo's, 1 schick quatro trim style, 1 light bulb, 2 almay eye make up and 2 toothpastes for .71 cents before tax, and got back $11 ups

    • Kel

Revlon Face and Eye Cosmetics 40% off – there is a $2 off ColorStay Aqua mineral makeup OR any face product Q in SS 1/16, combined with the SCR and 40% off should make for a good deal

    • kristenk

i got the axe shower gel BOGO, but the UP didn't print… i didn't notice til i got home – does anyone know if they don't print for BOGO's?

for once i was thankful for the shelf clearers at kroger last week… i didn't do the dove deo deal there, but got it today at rite aid for free plus 4 ups! also got maalox for free plus 2 ups.

      • Nita Royal

My axe UP printed, buying the body spray, and using the BOGO.

      • RAemp

I work there, if it didn't print there my be a problem with the shower gel, I know the +UP was not printing for the degree clean scent, but printed just fine for the sport scent. Might have been an issue like that. if you take it back they should be able to fix it for you.

      • kristenk

ok, thanks, i'll ask next time i'm there!

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

It should have printed. The sale is 2/$9 right? So you bought two for $9, then used a BOGO coupon if I'm not mistaken? You still bought 2, so no matter what coupons or sales, the sale is 2/$9 w/a $3 +UP WYB 2. You met those qualifications. I noticed putting the signs up yesterday though, that only a couple of the Axe body washes had signs, so you might have bought one that isn't included! Did they ring at $4.50 each? If they rang at the right price, just call CS and give them the receipt info and see if they'll mail you the replacement coupon.

      • Guest

Not every scent is part of the sale…unless there is a sale sign from corporate for that particular scent then the reward usually doesn't print. So I would check to make sure you bought one that had a printed sale sign on that item.

    • sww

on a bunch of the GE CFL bulbs at my store there was a .50 peelie- makes for a free bulb after +UP if you have the .50VV as well! HTH

    • Donna

I was bummed that BOTH of the RA's near me were cleared out of the dove deodorants, but they told me they get a truck again later this week, so I'm hoping there will be some more in stock later. I was really looking forward to 1 or 2 free deo's! :(

Ah, well. I still had a good day there & bonus – a guy and his mother were in front of me and asked the cashier if anyone visits the store who does extreme couponing & she pointed to me! lol She knows me & is always the one in the store when I go in for my deals. The reason he was asking – he just started doing couponing & had a HUGE envelope full of ones that he & his mother weren't going to use that expire at the end of Feb or just after, so he gave it to me! SCORE!!! :)

      • Jo R

Wow good for you! Pays to visit the same store!

    • tk

Maybe I missed these in the list but, all these items are $2.22 and generating 1 UP reward: Hungry Jack pancake mix, Hungry Jack syrup, Jif peanut butter. Also Chex mix is $1.50 and generating 1 UP reward. There are a lot of .50/2 coupons around, making them 25 cents each.

      • Nysummer2010

Combine the chex mix RiteAid Video coupon $0.5…then you can score FREE chex mix :)

        • Switchfan

I'm confused…. if Chex Mix is $1.50 for 1, and you get 1UP for it…. doesn't that mean that 2 Chex Mix = $3.00 – $1 UP – $.50/2 mf coupon – $.50/2 RA coupon = $.50 for each bag? How do you get to free?

          • Amhoward07

            Because if u r getting 2 then u should get 2 ups

            • Switchfan

sorry to be dense – I've never shopped at RA before…. in Jenny's guide, she says that she thinks UP+'s will be only one per item. I know at Walgreens the blanket rule is 2 register rewards per week on each deal, and I assumed it was 1 per week at RA unless otherwise specified…. Is that not the case? Also, at Walgreens, if I want 2 RR I have to do two transactions, but if I wanted to get 2 UP's for Chex, they'd have to be in the same transaction because of the $.50/2 coupon – will it print 2 UP's on the receipt?

            • Carra

At Rite Aid, you can get multiple UPs unless there is a limit of 1 (will state a limit if there is one). So, yes, you can buy 2 (or more) of something and get an UP for each one purchased!

    • Denise

What does it mean by +up and do you have to have a riteaid card?

      • Nita Royal

UP rewards are store “bucks” that you get when making a purchase, and yes, you need the wellness card. You can learn all about the program from the “getting started guide” in the upper right section of this page. It's very helpful!

    • Gabriela

I found a 6/2 coupon (zyrtec, prepcid, motrin pm, tylenol precise) on my smart source 01/09.

      • Linden

I used this too! And each motrin was $5.99 and each printed out $3 up reward. So I spent $6 and got $6 up rewards! FREE Motrin PM!

    • Nelmarie17

Sooooooo disappointed, went to 4 different RAs in my area and all were sold out of the Dove deodorant which is my favorite. Totally bummed!

      • Triplettk

Same here..checked 3 different stores today. The mgr. at the last one said that someone came in this morning and bought 12. Boo…

        • Paige_Aminehdestin

That's exactly why we limit at my store! :-P We try not to let one person ruin the week for everyone else. It doesn't hurt our bottom line for one person to buy it all, but it just seems like better CS to have 12 happy customers rather than one happy and 11 angry.

        • Gunter00

I have got to know my manager a lot more lately. I had her special order me 20 and then she got some for the store. She said she doesn't mind to special order a large quantity if she knows someone is really going to buy them. I've also pre-ordered the Prego. It's all coming in on Wed.

    • Linden

3 different rite aids were sold out of the deodorants by noon today! But I still got 2 stayfree pads (used one B1G1 coupon and one $1 off coupon), got two boxes of ziploc bags (used 1.50/2 coupon), two single cfl lightbulbs (used 2 $2 off coupons, printed out, which said it was $2 off a multipack but it worked for a single pack). Spent $8.26 got $8 back in up rewards. Then got two boxes of motrin pm ($5.99 each) used $6 off 2 coupon which Jenny didn't list, and got two $3 Up printed one for each motrin. So I spent $.26 cents! All of it went to my $100 winter rewards total!

      • Joy_tyson

You did great! Just wanted to tell you that Rite Aid is great for giving “rain checks” too!

      • Donna

Awesome! Yeah, the 2 stores near me were sold out by noon yesterday too. I talked to the clerk at the one store I go to most (she knows I'm a big couponer) and asked about restocking. She told me the truck would be there Wednesday, so to check back late Wednesday (evening or night) or Thursday morning. No guarantee they'll be back in stock, but fingers crossed! If not, I'll get a rain check.

You could get a rain check too and then pick them up when they're back in stock and still get the sale!

    • Syndilew

The toothpaste deal is even sweeter. There is a value pack of Colgate Total Advance Whitening with a toothbrush that rings up 2.49 but still prints the 3.50 up. Just thought that I would let everyone know.

    • Wsult3

We had a $3 off Gain fabric softener in our RP insert today. Makes the fabric softener $1.99!

      • Wsult3

I also just saw where you can get it free at Family Dollar and Dollar General with this Q.

    • Rhonda

Does anyone know if there is a way to check your winter reward total? I did two transactions today. On the first receipt, it listed 92.93 as my total. On the second one, it listed 62.16. I need to know which is correct.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Did you do back to back transactions? If so, that's where the discrepancy is at. What I *think* I've figured out, is that if you do multiple transactions, what it's doing is taking the total you started with that day, and then adding that transaction's total to it. So your first transaction looks like you started with something less than $62 based on that second total, and you bought quite a few qualifying items getting you to $92.32 after that transaction. Then you did transaction #2, and it started back at that >$62 total and added the qualifying items from that transaction taking you to $62.16. If that transaction had $8 of qualifying items on it, then your next purchase should print the WR for you, since between those two you hit your $100 total. It seems that if you split transactions, but let someone go in between them, the system has time to catch up and all your transactions add correctly.

        • Rhonda

I did do back to back transactions. I was worried because the winter rewards end soon, and I didn't want to be that close to getting the reward and lose out. Hopefully, next week I will reach 100 and my $20 reward will print.

    • Nikki

I just checked the VV to get the light bulb Q. I clicked to play it and it said “The video you are trying to watch is not available. Please select another video.” I wonder why that is.

    • DonnaChas

Could someone please help me with two questions I have about rainchecks at RA?
First, how long do you have to use a raincheck?
Secondly, when you redem a raincheck, will the regiester print any UP Rewards if there were any associated with the item when you got the raincheck?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

      • Dianne N

Rainchecks are good for 30 days but if it's going to expire & you go in and they still don't have the product, they will re-write it. So basically they are good until they have the product in stock as long as you get it rewritten within 30 days.

If the +UPs are not currently a promotion, the register won't print them but the price on the raincheck should include the +UPs. I have had them subtract the +UPs from the final cost lowering my OOP & I've had them give me a giftcard for the amount of the +UPs. You do need to be careful though if you're doing a promotion like the Heart Healthy or Winter Rewards because if they reduce the cost of the item by the +UPs, you don't get full credit toward the promotion. I had this happen last week and as such it didn't print my $10 Heart Healthy +UPs. When I explained what happened to the manager, she gave me a $10 giftcard. Thankfully it didn't matter for my Winter Rewards and I doubt I'll spend enough to get the second Heart Healthy reward. Hope that's not too much info & it makes sense!

        • Jessdare101

I just got a raincheck on the deodorant. The raincheck printed the reg. price and the cashier wrote the sale price in. She told me before she gave me the raincheck that I wouldn't be able to get the UP's. I've never used a raincheck at Rite Aid and the cashier who told me this is very coupon friendly. So what should I do about the UP's?

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

If you don't want to go back in and try to have it fixed, try cutting out that part of the ad, and stapling it to the RC, so when you go to redeem it, they can see that there was a +UP included in the deal. That way, they could deduct the +UP when the modify the price once you redeem it. Some stores don't seem to know that we're supposed to include the +UP when we print RCs. I've had a few customers say that they'd rather check back after truck, to see if we got the product in b/c they don't want to use them b/c we won't get reimbursed for the +UP at that point… we've been told though, that as long as we modify the price using the “raincheck” option for the modification, the manufacturer will still pay us back for it. Now, I'm not sure that's true, but since it's what we've been told, I don't see why stores still insist that you can't get the price minus the +UP on a rain check. Before the week ends though, call and speak to the store manager about it. Tell her that the RC printed at regular price so the cashier wrote in the sale price but didn't deduct the reward. Ask if it would be okay for you to keep that part of the ad with the RC so that when you do buy the product they can see that there was one included, and ask if it's store policy to include the +UP when it's redeemed. If he/she says no, you might want to email customer service and simply ask the question, no store number or it's filed as a complaint, and you seem to like your store, they just don't know that it's supposed to be done. That way, once you get a reply, you can print it and take it with you, so they then have info from corporate telling them that it's okay.

        • Paige_Aminehdestin

A lot of stores did follow the instructions to throw away the hand written raincheck forms though, so we can't re-write them. lol. We'll initial that you came in within the 30 days and we didn't have the product, date it, and therefor show that it can be redeemed at a later date. As for subtracting the +UPs, that's exactly what we're supposed to do. Our DM told us that as long as it's done under the “raincheck” option when we modify the price, the manufacturer will still reimburse us the price of the +UP just as they do when it prints and is then used.

          • Diane

So the manufacturer reimburses RA for UPs?

            • Paige_Aminehdestin

That's what we've been told. The barcodes are all “RC49” which (for basic coupons) are Rite Aid/Manufacturer coupons, so they're coupons but “sales” as well which is why those can always be stacked with basic man. coupons. We got an email saying that if we do rain checks, as long as we modify and use the “rain check” function when it's redeemed, the manufacturer still reimburses us. We're not positive that we believe it, but we kind of have to. lol.

      • Siasdavis

My RA does not have an expiration for their rainchecks. The UP Rewards do not print out for rainchecks (and they no longer subtract them from the price), but I was instructed to call customer service, and they sent them in the mail. I guess it varies by store.

    • Bamasaver

Tresemme Qs are no longer available. :(

    • Dianne L

I am so frustrated!!!!! Is anyone else having trouble viewing the videos? I will start one, and every 5-7 seconds it will stop for 20-30 seconds before resuming! I have tried on two different computers and firefox and safari! HELP!?

      • Amhoward07

I am having trouble also it seems like it takes forever and then some of them just freeze… IDK whats up?

    • Kristin

Has anyone else had trouble with their Winter Rewards totals? Last week my receipt said I was up to $67.32 towards the WR. Today, my receipt said $36.47 (which was just from the items I bought today). I called Customer Service but the guy told me it would take 48 hours to update/print — he didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. Last month, my $20 reward printed immediately. Any thoughts on what I should do about this? I want my $20! :)

      • Ougirl822

Mine is doing the EXACT same thing. I am going to call RA customer service too today, hopefully I have better luck and can get an answer back to you :) Got mine last month no problem but this one is been like a roller coaster, one day its up and then next is down ?????

        • Kristin

Thanks – I'm sorry you're having the same problem, but I'm glad that I'm not the only one:)

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Read down about 5 posts (not including replies) and you'll see my reply from earlier which explains what I've noticed in store, and what *seems* to be happening. That coupled with a new week, could explain what's going on. The new week issue, is likely that it just isn't adding to your total from before this week. Everything else, I think I explained below.

        • wolverinehokie

Paige, I'm confident I should have hit the total today without doing multiple transactions (last week I got to ~$97) and I bought the 2 Colgate today, but it didn't print my reward. I called customer service and they said the same thing about the 48 hours. I'm worried that it's still not going to be correct.

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

We've been having a lot of weird things happening this week. I don't think it'll take 48 hours though, as the first person who shoud've hit the total on Sunday, came back Monday morning and it printed. If for any reason it doesn't print on your next transaction, just call CS back, and they'll pull up your transaction log and send you a handful of “+UP coupons” adding up to $20. My roommate had to do it with his Resolution Rewards (apparently at first they treated him like he was lying, but he point blank told her that if she pulls up his history she'll see how much he spends in that store, and she did and apologized) and a week later he got 3 $3 coupons, 4 $2 coupons and a $1 coupon all of which expire in June, I think. So, even if it doesn't catch up, don't worry, there is a way to still get it for you. I haven't seen anyone who didn't split the transactions though, who didn't get it on that receipt. That's a new one to me. I haven't actually seen any that seemed to be calculating 48 hours behind. I wonder if they're in the process of “updating” something which always causes problems.

            • Kristin

Thanks, Paige. I went back into the store today (they actually had some of the Dove deodorant deal! yay!) and my receipt is still not updating correctly. It added my total from today to my total from 2 weeks ago, completely not including my receipt from Monday's shopping. I'm going to call CS in a bit. I was also disappointed that the cashier told me the Overnight Chapstick was a new product and the store didn't have any — I've been using that product for years and was going to take advantage of the mail in rebate. I'll have to check the other Rite Aid in my city. :)

I have already done my RA shopping for the week and gotten all that I wanted… I still have 26 Up+s that are expiring next Saturday…I have Dove coupons but no Dove Deoderant anywhere in town!!

Number two- why is it when i buy a can of Chili do I get 1 Up for it??? Will the Ragu give me 1 Up for buying each one and an extra one if I buy two?

      • Gunter00

On the Dove – get rain checks and ask when the truck is coming in… :)

      • sww

the chili is part of a month-long food product deal, which is great this week when they are $1.50 and there are VV and MFQs out there, making the chili free. the ragu is not part of the food deal this month, you will only get the $1wyb2 for $3. HTH!

    • Ljefferson

I just went to Rite Aid-bought 2 Colgate, got 2-$3.50 UP rewards. Planned on buying two small bottles of Motrin and using up rewards w/the $6.00 coupon off WYB Motrin. Cashier wouldn't take the $6.00 coupon and said they don't take any coupons over $5.00. I'm going to read corporate's policy and see if this is true. Does anyone know?

      • Courtney

its in the policy that coupons printed from the internet should not be over 5.00, but if it was cut out of the sunday paper they should take it

        • Ljefferson

Yeah, -it was from tne internet. Still plan on going back tomorrow for more deals, tho. DOn't really need any Motrin (we're stocked up) but it was such a deal. Thanks for the info.

    • Gunter00

I have a possible issue and need help!! Ordered the dove q's on ebay from an excellent seller, but get the q's today and part of the very bottom of the bar code is cut off where the numbers are supposed to be. What's y'all experience with part of it missing? I'm wondering if RA will take them or do I need to start complaining to him. Thanks!!

      • Nita Royal

If there's enough bar code left to scan, it should still work.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Ehh. That's a tough one. Part of the coupon “training” is that if a coupon appears to be tampered with, including the barcode or the barcode's numbers being cut off, they shouldn't be accepted. We normally will allow it, if the numbers are the only thing missing, since the barcode is what we scan anyway. The only problem I could see you running in to, is if it were a coupon that needs to be adjusted down for being higher than the sales price of the item. Even though most stores just manually enter them, we've found a way that typing in the barcode, it appears to allow us to enter the cost which attaches it to the item, which makes us get paid back for it. (yay!) I know that's irrelevant to what you're asking, but I was happy that we figured it out. Anyway, I would contact the seller and let them know, because some stores (not only RA) may have trouble taking them since they do “appear” to be tampered with, be it intentional or not. Good luck, but I don't think you'll have trouble with these this week.

    • I just ran to the rite aid down the street just to checkto see if there was any Dove deo. on the selves. Well they were out so I was going to get rain checks when another girl came up and said “I can give you different DOVE for te same deal” i was like holy moly, Heck yeah!!! So I got 5 Ultimate dove Deo for free and $4 in UPs , works for me… The cashier was so sweet also… My rite aid are converted to the Save more stores so I'm only able to get the pharmacy stuff not the food stuff, But I'm happy with tonights visit…

    • Victoria

How was the P&G $110 book obtained? Was it in the paper…or did you sign up for it?

      • Sheila

There was a mail-in-rebate for the book that ended last December. There was also a facebook promotion last week for it. There will probably be other chances to receive this book, just be on the lookout.

    • MichelleK

      My RA run today

Makes it free + profit….and's all stuff I will use….plus most of the items went toward Winter Rewards too. (except the Ragu.)

      • Sabrenut37

Great deal, but you cannot count the UP rewards twice, both as you receive them, and then also count them when you use them. It will artificially inflate your savings.

    • Julie

I had a fun trip today!
      2 Chex
      2 Oreos
      1 Hungry Jack syrup
      2 Ragus
      3 Hormel chili
      4 Ziplocks
      2 Comets
      2 Colgate
      1 Theraflu

After qs, the Theraflu rebate and UPS that I earned, I spent $5.55 OOP. Not bad, considering just the Oreos would have cost that elsewhere. Plus I earned my $20 today.

    • Stacielovescoupons

If the ad doesn't say limit then what is it, does anyone know? For instance, the Ragu…I already bought 2, but would like more, but I'm not sure what the limit is to get the Ups.

      • luluguid

I don't think there are limits

    • Aurorak627

I am wondering if anyone used q's on the comet. I have a couple of the comet .35/1 coupons but it doesn't show the pic of the can style. Do you think it will apply?

      • Jane

        Yes, it worked for me.

    • Fallaya

Had a nice little shopping trip today, which will most likely be my last trip until Sunday. Purchased 4 cans of albacore tuna (1.50 each), a can of Comet (.50), a Dove chocolate bar (on sale for .44), and some Dentyne gum (1.03). Used .50 VV coupon for the Dentyne and $7 +ups. Paid .63 OOP and received 2 +ups from the tuna.

    • 3monkeysmom

Check your emails…..I just got the quarterly email and it had a $3/15 in it :)

      • Syndilew

        I had a 10% q in mine. YEAH!!!

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

I hate being an employee sometimes. I've never once gotten those coupons in my statement emails. :-(

        • 3monkeysmom

:( I'm sorry….if it makes you feel better this is the first for me. I normally get a 10% coupon and I never get the $5/25 in my “dashboard.”

        • Amhoward07

I have a ? for u , u work for rite aid , right? I love my rite aid employees ecspecially the two managers at the one we go to the most …. But they don't write the ups rewards into the raincheck , and we have asked them about it they don't act like they are suppose to. If we contacted corp. would they possibly tell them it is allowed without it making the rite aid employees get mad at us bc I wouldn't want the wierdness about it if they found out it was us. And the only reason I say this is bc one has already told us about someone calling corp on her….

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

If you call, it will be filed as a complaint, but corporate shouldn't tell the store who filed it. Instead of filing a complaint, just in case you're afraid of any possible negative feelings toward you, call the district office and ask. Tell them that you're under the impression that +UPs are supposed to be included on Rain Checks, but the store says they aren't supposed to, and you're just wanting to clarify. When (if) the DM agrees with you, ask if there's any way that (s)he can let the stores in his district know that. That way it isn't a complaint and doesn't go against the stores Customer Service scores, but at the same time, does get the situation handled and gets your deal the way you should. Once the DM speaks with the store, it's possible you'll still get an attitude, but mention it to the managers that you called district so that a complaint wasn't filed, but that you wanted to make sure there wasn't a way to get the +UP, and that should smooth it over for the store and your relationship. I think as long as customers don't go about it being hateful and negative, and then go to the manager in the same manner informing them instead of letting them be blind sided by a district call, it keeps that friendly relationship from turning negative.

            • rs

Well, Paige, I actually called corporate and got a call back from the DM last week on a dreadful store in my area. I'd had it at my last visit. I don't intend to set foot in that store again so it doesn't matter if she knows I called. She actually told me she couldn't override an obviously correct newspaper manufacturer coupon with the exact picture and wording of what I bought. I asked if she could call the main office to see if they could help us out. She firmly said no. I asked if I could use the store phone to call. She rudely said Rite Aid doesn't have public phones, even to call the main office. No, I couldn't use the phone. It just so happened I was checking out when she was giving orders to her employee about how to set up a 12 foot display after she left for the day. She was very much wanting to bark the orders and scoot. This store also refuses to write rainchecks for UP items. She speaks to her folks like toddlers and she is inflexible. I drove down the street and was perfectly taken care of with my coupon, call, and rainchecks. It was time someone called on this manager. Hopefully others will as well. Her folks definitely need some relief!

    • smdm

I am about ready to give up couponing altogether! I think it is totally rude to completely wipe out a sale item the morning that it goes on sale. I only buy what my family will reasonably use within a short amount of time. Show some consideration for the rest of us already! Yes, you can get a raincheck but sometimes it takes a week or more before they are restocked and by then my coupon is either expired or it won't print out the UP rewards and wastes a whole lot of my time.

      • Marina C

I've been to 4 different Riteaids in search of the gas x prevention and found one at the last store I stopped at.I guess I'm a shelf clearer because I grabbed it. I was disappointed because I really wanted 4. I certainly wouldn't give up couponing because items are out of stock when I go in. Rite Aid doesn't put enough product on their shelfs.

        • meme

Always ask about the really good sale items. I have found some stores are starting to hold some of these items behind the counter or in the stockroom just to prevent hoarding.

      • luluguid

Also, when they give you a raincheck they should deduct the UP reward off the price

      • Sweety Pie32

I feel your pain. I have a 2.5 year old and no vehicle, so chasing after rain check items is a huge hassle. The only thing I can suggest is to get to the store on the first day of the sale.

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Don't give up. It saves you money. I think in time, stores will start to realize what's happening when they allow one person to clear the shelves first thing Sunday morning, and will actually start to impose personal limits. My store has done it since couponing started growing in popularity. I live in an area where we have several stores very close by, but we all have different regular couponers, and a lot of them. I think our store is the only one that always imposes limits, and we can typically hold on to (at least some) of the sale items until the end of the week. We know it makes people mad when they came in with 14 of the same coupons expecting to use them all and we'll only allow 2-4, but that gives us the ability to make the other dozen customers who come in later, happy. The limits aren't just to make us giggle, we're actually trying to provide good customer service. And if we can't get enough product in for a sale (which I think most people on here can tell that we do try, which is why I'm on here so much), we have to find another way to stay stocked for multiple customers.

        • Sandy

Bravo to you and your store! I think letting the manager set the limits instead of corporate (or not setting any at all) is a great idea! Only the employees at your store know the customers that shop there and what you have in stock. This is how it should be!

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

            Thank you!

      • ireneY

It's the same scene at my store on any given Sunday. The shelves are so bare, they look like they are going out of business! When I asked the manager if he would consider imposing limits, he said they weren't a Wal-mart with lots of stock. This is the same manager that tried to override the price after a 10% off Q by doing math the on the back of my coupon. He ~hushed~ me when I asked if that would void the mail in rebate amount! Five minutes later, my question finally sunk in. Idiot!

      • Carolinepetal

Those of us buying multiples of an items can ask the manager to order extra. I buy at 2 Walgreen stores in my area and none of the manager seems to mind me buying multiples of any items on sale. They even place an order for me if they are out of stock during the sale period. The manager of the CVS in my area told me I am one of his best customers. There too, I buy multiples of an item once it is on sale. However I do understand concerns and the frustrations of a customer trying to get an item on the first day of the sale. Usually, I do not shop on the first day. My shopping usually starts Wed-Thurs or the earliest Tues.

        • Carolinepetal

I read somewhere, maybe on this coupon site that you can inform the manager that you are interested in multiples of an item. Maybe that store would bring in extras of the items. We also have to the the store manager a chance to observe the pattern of sales so that he can best serve the demands of his store. Unfortunately not all managers understand the demand and supply of their stores.

    • luluguid

Just wanted to let you know that there is a Wet n wild coupon that is $5 off when you spend $10 on any product. Not sure where I got it from but it doesn't expire until the end of the year

    • guest

Does anyone know if theres a limit on the colgate up rewards? I got two today and wanted to know if I could get more but dont want to loose any ups?

      • Fallaya

The limit is two according to this week's ad.

        • Trishsaunders

Could you buy two in one transaction and another two in another transaction or does your card keep track of the first two you bought.

          • Bamasaver

When there is a limit, it's a limit on the total # purchased with your card regardless of how many separate transactions you do.

            • Trishsaunders

This helps alot, thanks for the response!

    • Trishsaunders

If I get the up reward for the axe body spray in one transaction, can I use that up reward toward my second transaction of axe body spray, and will my up reward print out for my second transaction?

      • Bamasaver

Yes you can, unless there is a limit of one on that deal.

        • Trishsaunders

          Thanks for the help!

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

Yes. Just make sure you double check the ad for any limit mentioned, and also check the marquee board (where the ad fliers and such are) and the shelf to make sure there is no disclaimer posted with a limit that's been imposed. Otherwise, there typically aren't limits and the deals can be rolled to buy the same products with the +UPs from a previous transaction with the same deal.

        • Trishsaunders

I appreciate the response, Thank You sooooo much!

I was wanting to get some Finish Dish detergent today since it was BOGO free, but I wasn't sure about the coupon I had. Does anyone know if the coupon you print from the finish website has to be used for the item pictured? The wording is a little confusing. For example in bold print it says $.75 off ANY Finish automatic dish detergent, but in smaller print below it says good on product shown only. How can it say ANY and then also say on product shown only at the same time? Doesn't make sense to me. Anyone took advantage of this deal and used those coupons?

      • Kate

I haven't done the deal, but I've used coupons like that before. The small print on coupons is usually standardized so they don't have to change it with each new coupon. There are other finish coupons for specific products, and I'm guessing the small print is the same on all of them. As long as you buy a Finish automatic dish detergent, you should be fine.

      • DebTN

I got 2 boxes of Finish gel packs earlier in the week at RA. I used a 75 cent “any Finish” and I also used a $1.00 “finish Quantum.” I asked the clerk if she thought the Quantum q would work and she said she thought it would be fine. The register did not beep. She didn't have to force it. These are not the q you are talking about but it makes me think that any Finish q will work on any Finish product.

    • tmmb04

I had a really good trip to Rite Aid. I got 2 Colgates, 1 bottle of Gain laundry detergent, 4 bottles of Gain dish liquid, and 1 pack of Charmin. I paid 4.53 oop. This would have been much better if I had not have bought the Charmin. My dad called and told me to pick some up. Totally ruined my scenario.

    • Bguidry49

Can anyone tell me about the beauty reward bonus. I watched all the videos and I was wondering how do I get the $4.00 off coupon or will it automatically take it off the purchase? My first trip to rite aid will be today and would like to know before I go!

      • ckgross5

Once you watch all the videos you should be able to print the coupon from your list of rewards.

    • Sandlin472

Help! I let a $10 up reward expire. Is there anything I can do? Thanks.

      • Debko

They do not generally take expired +Ups. You might try chatting with Customer Service, but I don't think they will even replace it for you. But, its worth a try.

        • Sandlin472

I talked to customer service. They wouldn't reissue it but after being a little persistent they are sending me a $5 coupon in the mail. Better than nothing.
          Thanks for your reply.

I know this is Rite Aide, but I am upset with Walmart. I went to Wallmart in Ballentne, SC took my coupons which I had a few things and was going to use my coupons. The lady at the register said after this transaction they could only use one coupon per item. I normally have two or three of the same item with a coupong for each one. Walmart changed their policy to only one coupon per item. Also they said it was written on the coupon one per customer per one item. She also said I could come back thru the line and get another of the same item and coupon. Boy that can really make you have to work for your coupons. Just thought you should know. Carolyn
