Rite Aid Weekly Ad 3/27-4/2

Store Logo

These deals start Sunday 3/27 at Rite Aid. This is a shorter ad than normal, with a strange absence of UP rewards on grocery products, BUT lots of fun health & beauty freebies. New video value coupons and SCR deals are starting so be sure to wrap up any that you want.

Note #1: You need to go in and watch any Video Values you want NOW. They will all switch on Sunday. You don’t have to print the coupons yet, but need to get them saved in your account.

Note #2: The new SCR deals start Wednesday so there is some funny overlap this week. Just make sure to note when your deal is ending or beginning before shopping!

If you see any other deals leave a comment and I’ll add them to the list.

This is a great list, thank you for your hard work!

I'm new to the SCR program, and I can't find this info in their FAQs…..about how long does it take for your requested check to show up in your mail box? My account shows it was mailed and dated 3/9, but I still haven't received it. Just wondering if it usually takes a few weeks to arrive, tia!

      • ChrissyPunkin

It takes about three weeks, so you're good. :-)

      • Sonja

Same thing for me, mine also says mailed 3/9. Sorry, no help- just letting you know you aren't alone!

      • Mvtdeal

        Yes usually a few weeks

      • Debidobbs

I'm new also and have no clue what SCR or FAQs stand for .please fill me in Thanks

        • couponmama

SCR is Single Check Rebate. There is a separate ad you can get at Rite Aid that shows the SCRs for the month, and they will be in the weekly ads also (some are month-long, others only in a specific week). You put in your receipt info online after your purchase & get a rebate check mailed to you, which you can cash or redeem at Rite Aid. You can enter receipts at different times, but you can only request one check per month, so wait til the end of the month usually to request it. FAQ is frequently asked question. HTH.

      • Fallaya

My check was also mailed out on 3/9…haven't received it yet!

        • Madhatter31

Mine was mailed the same day. I haven't received it either. Thought it was just me.

          • Sandy

Takes a minimum of 2-3 weeks easily!

          • Gloria Ford

My check is not here yet either. I was beginning to worry.

      • I'm with you ladies, too. Mine was mailed 3/9 and I have yet to get it!

      • Littlenana

I can't print Smartsource coupons. Would like to be able to do this.

        • Naomi

Try printing them from Internet Explorer if you are using a different browser. I use Firefox and often have to switch to IE to print Smartsource coupons

          • Anonymous

I second what Naomi says. I switched from Firefox to Internet Explorer and had no problems since. I do have to watch IE though – my computer is 64-bit and if I’m in the IE64 I have problems with flash on all websites (flash doesn’t have a 64-bit version yet) and the videos on the RA site are all flash. So, I specfically have to use the regular version of IE. If you’re on a 64- bit computer, your computer should have both versions of IE, so just make sure you’re not using the 64-bit version.

      • Freemn4

You could include this deal: $4 +UP WYB $10 worth of Revlon Cosmetics and Grooming Implements at 40% off.
If you have the $2 off coupons for Revlon nail items you will get them for free and/or make money.

    • Our local RiteAid has been remodeled and I am now ready to shop there. This is all new to me! I am working on viewing the videos, but continue to get an ERROR. Is this a common thing or am I doing something wrong? Seems like they take forever to load and then they just error out. Additionally, I noticed the comment, on one of the items with a video adperk coupon, that stated you didn't have to print the coupon right now just watch the video and have it in your account. Do they all work this way?

      • Ant0288

i've noticed since they changed the website that it takes forever to load the videos, then you have to restart the videos several times to make them work. its annoying and beginning to not be worth it as the coupons are getting worse too.

        • Paige_Aminehdestin

The updates combined with the satellite issues, are really slowing the system down it seems. I hope they can get it cleared out to fix the issue so many people are having. It kind of seems like the memory needs to be wiped in the server or something, it's that kind of slow down. I am noticing that a lot of the manufacturers are putting out fewer of the amazing VV coupons though, so the program may be winding down if it continues. With all the manufacturers putting coupons in the ad, it's making them kind of irrelevant anyway since you can't stack two “RC49” coupons. I'm thinking they should just keep the bonus coupons so that everyone still gets that additional saving.

    • Jenifercarnes

How do you get their Wellness card? I heard you could have many more savings with that card.

      • tina

its like a food lion or a cvs card just have to go to the store and sign up for 1

      • Bamasaver

You can sign up online on their website. Then you can print a temporary card to use right away until your card arrives in the mail.

      • Sis2

        Haven't got mine yet either.

      • Nona

I just received mine two days ago! I am sure you will get your soon!

    • kk

The BOGO coupon for gum is only up to $1, so your total price after VV should be 0.04. Also, aren't the beauty coupons (2 off 10 VV) only good for a limited number of products, and not any beauty purchase?

      • Fiveroller

yes the 2 off 10vv is only good on certain products. it prints the participating products on the coupon and theyre pretty specific.

        • Marcie

The actual coupon says you have to use it for specific brands & products, but my RiteAid let me use mine for any beauty products. Just try it and see.

      • Chrstyamyrs

I don't think we can use the beauty bonus coupon on the Revlon deal. Even without it, it still makes the items free.

      • racecitymj

My gum coupon says (up to $1.69).

      • Lzbacnik

Don't forget the Rite Aid video coupon for .25 making this a profit maker.

    • couponsrfun

Since the Almay $5 SCR doesn't start till the 30th, can I buy it Sunday and then submit for rebate on the 30th?

      • Sis2

No, have to wait until the 30th for that rebate.

        • couponsrfun

          thanks

    • SandyC

The Carefree coupon link will take all of your info, THEN tell you there are no prints left in the campaign. Too bad.

    • what are video value coupons and scr?

      • Prsol

Video value coupons are rewards that you get from Rite Aid just by watching some videos online. They take about 20 secs, you enter a code at the end of each video and accumulate enough credits toward some reward: i.e. watch 12 videos, get X amount of $$ off your make up purchase.

SCR stands for Single Check Rebates: additional savings at Rite Aid that you request by entering your [eligible] receipts at Rite Aid's website. After the month is over, request your rebate online (it tracks all your receipts throughout the month) and you get a check in the mail for all your trouble… ;-)

For more details, read the links that Jenny has on the top of this page (rite above the big blue buttons… Look for: “Rite Aid Links”

        • Prsol

LOL… I misspelled “right” on the last phrase! I meant: right above the blue buttons… This is what I get for typing about Rite Aid while watching Kitchen's nightmare! :)

    • The Video coupons are store coupons? If so I can use the video coupon with a manufacture coupon right?

      • Prsol

That's correct. Use two of them toward the same item to make the most out of your savings. :-)

    • Ok so I have tried using the coupon system on almost all stores now. EXCEPT Rite Aid….When I look at the deals it seems like you are spending alot, atleast compared to the other stores like CVS or Walgreens. Are these deals worth it??

      • senoia mom

I think it is worth it. The online rebates are great. I get a check every month for an avg of 10-12.00 for things I would have probably needed to buy anyway. (that is cash back in my pocket!) PLUS they have UP rewards, Plus sales, AND you can use coupons. They are not like walgreen's with their rewards count as a coupon, which makes them harder to redeem. At R/A, I have bought an item on sale, used a coupon, an up reward, paid just a few cents for the item. THEN got an up reward, OR submitted for a rebate and MADE $$.
There are a lot of ways to get your $$ back. My CVS is great, but rite aid has the edge with me. I end up making money, when I am able to combine everything. The OOP seems high at times, but the all in one rebates balance it out.
Yeah, it takes a little work, but with Jenny's help, the reward$ are woth it ;)

      • Donna

I've actually found that I save 90-100% at each RA trip now. It does take a little to get started since you have to start earning some of the +UP rewards, but once you do, you keep rolling them over to your next purchase and end up with VERY little out of pocket.

It does depend on what you personally like to buy, though. I've found RA just happens to have better sales on the particular things I want/need vs. CVS (my only other drugstore). There's a Walgreens not far from here but I've heard they're much stricter on their coupons/RR and I don't feel like messing with it. RA's rules are very straight-forward and coupon-friendly.

        Just my 2 cents! :)

      • Tammie

Rite Aid and CVS are much easier for couponing than Walgreens. I have a child that uses Good Nites, and I have decided it is not worth it to try to get RR to purchase Good Nites, unless I have a large dollar RR (like the 10.00 RR from Tena), because I have to have too many “filler” items, which shoots my “deal”. Many times Rite Aid (unlike CVS) does not have a limit restriction of how many times you can purchase an item and get the UPs. Hope I explained that okay.

    • Patricia S.

I can use my $1 up rewards with $1 xtra coupons to score free detergent!!

    • Kelly

Rite aid is changing their coupon policy, you will no longer be able to use more than 4 of same coupons and you can't get no more than 2 rainchecks on an item that has an up reward attached to it. This is just a big headache why must they make changes like this?

      • Nita Royal

Probably a way to stop people from clearing their shelves, without each manager having to set limits on each item.

        • MandM

Yes, my manager said they had a big meeting here in Winston-Salem. Here they are limiting to 8 of same sale item per visit. I saw them asking 2 folks this morning to put back stayfree. They were buying about all of it. I am glad. I think there are greedy folks out there…How much stayfree do we really need at one time?!

      • Guest

It's more so the manufacturer. Most manufacturer coupons are being printed that way with the wording on them that say No more than Four Like Coupons per purchase. Therefore the companies are not getting paid if more than 4 coupons are used in one transaction. That doesn't mean you can't buy more than 4 just do them in separate transactions. The +up rewards are also the same way. They are a manufacturered program.

I'm looking for the $3 off American Greeting card coupon…would anyone know where to find it?

      • Atovanche

If the link doesn't work then try doing a web search. I used the terms “American greeting card coupon” and it came up just fine. It's a pdf. I suggest saving it to your computer just in case. I save all pdfs to my desktop with their expiration dates for easy access and so I can remove them easily. For example, I saved this one as am.greeting.4.13.11

Is the Airwick Freshmatic Starter Kit really $9.99 after 50% off?

      • Guest

NO…that's the regular price of the compact freshmatic kit so it would be $4.99 in most stores.

        • andalusia

all the freshmatic starter kits at my 2 closest riteaid are 12.99 reg price, wish it was 9.99! guess ill find out what they are when i go monday, cuz that was the price from saturday, so i guess ill really see if they mark them up to give them to you half off!

    • Marcie

With the gum deal, I don't understand how it is profit. Both packs are free with the B1G1 deal and a B1G1 coupon, they aren't going to give you 25 cents back right?

      • Atovanche

Depends on your cashier. You can double up coupons because one is a man q and one is a vv q. But the price isn't supposed to go below 0 with all coupons (according to Rite Aid's coupon policy) so the cashier has the right to only accept one coupon.

      • Asmith

coupon is also only up to 1.00

        • racecitymj

My gum coupon says (up to $1.69).

        Marcie,
There is a .25 Rite Aid video coupon that you add withe the B1G1 coupon. That makes it a .25 profit.

    • Sdavisva

Does anyone know how long we have to print March VV coupons once we have watched them? I see all my February coupons still on my account, but I printed all of them, so I have nothing to go off. I'm low on ink and always try to print RA coupons at the library…I just don't want to lose them! ;) Thanks!

      • tina

i am almost certain it is 4/23, the feb ones expire today.

    • GA Girl

Does anyone know if the Tangled DVD will be available Sunday or Wednesday?

      • Guest

New Releases don't usually hit the stores until Tuesday and hopefully all of the stores will get the movie in.

    • DianaY19

FYI The Cetaphil deal won't work. On the ad is specifically says on products $8.49 or higher so with the $2 off sale, $2 up, and $2 coupon, the cheapest you could get it would be $2.49, not free.

    • Mitchem Rebecca

      If I buy 3 Johnson & Johnson items I will get 3 1.00RR right???

      • Lzbacnik

That is correct. You can buy up to 3. For each one you purchase you will get a $ 1.00 RR.

    • c. ann

Is anyone else able to print the dove 1.50/2 products coupon? It's not even displaying for me : (

    • Beth

      I'm confused on the Tums price of $2 after all coupons. 2 @ $4 = $8 – $1 store coupon – $2 mfg. coupons – $2 UP = $3…..What am I missing?

      • CCShad

I think your math is right – $3 for both if you use the 2 $1/1 coupons but then $4 for both if you use the $1/2 coupon.

    • Betty Crocked

Have tried to watch the videos for 4 days now. All I get is “this video is not available. please try another”.

      • BettyCrocked

Apparently the problem was with using firefox. Switched to explorer and got them. Wish I'd known this two days ago, lol!

    • AM

On the BOGO poptarts will the 1.00 off two coupon work since one of the poptarts is free?

      • Dsci2003

        yes it will work

    • Podracer

There is a coupon for $4 off Clariton in the Rite-Aide add and it has a note on it that says “See Sunday's coupons for additional savings”. Does that mean that I can use that coupon and a $5 off coupon together? They are both Mfg. coupons but one says for Rite-Aide stores only.

      • Kate

Yes, you can use both. The one in the paper is considered a regular manufacturer's coupon, and the one in the RA ad is more like a store coupon.

        • Podracer

Love knowing I can save $9 on allergy med's this time of year!!!

    • Dbaeimers

Does anyone know how to print the $2 off $10 beauty reward? I watched all of the videos and it said I got the reward, but when I went to my rewards it was in purple, but there was no way to print it like the other coupons?

      • DianaY19

Same thing happened to me. I went back and clicked on the beauty care bonus under “special offers” it brought up a window that said “complete” I clicked oK, went back to rewards and it's listed at the top of that section where the beauty bonus is purple…look above that purple line at the top of all the listed videos you watched. HTH

      • This happened to me too, but when I went back to the beauty videos section the screen popped up that said I earned my reward and I was able to print it then. Try going back to that section and see if it works for you.

    • Melissa

the cetaphils coupons are all gone

    • Melissa

did anybody find the nestle water coupon successfully?

    • kandi

Is anyone else not seeing the gum deal in their ad?

    • Awesomebc

Where are you seeing the April SCR?? I don't see them on the web site.

    • Momof3baldwins

For the Aveeno, which is the better deal? This one or the one at Walgreens this week?

      • Coupongal18

I think the Walgreen's deal is better….personally but I tend to like Walgreen's better

      • Sweetk3346

Definitly Walgreens, because I tried the Aveeno Deal at Rite Aid and it did NOT take off 50% on any of them, Im going back to try and get a refund or return it altogether.

    • Freemn4

FYI… I went in to buy the “Cetaphil 4 oz. Cleanser starting at $5.49” which would be $2 off with RA rewards card, plus $2 UP, plus $2 off with coupon; which would have been a money maker. Their ad states that it is for items $8.49 and up. If you buy an item which is less than that starting price it will not give you the $2 off with RA card.
It would not end up being free, but still a good price if you needed it.

    • Coupongal18

Ok – question – I want to get in on the Clean and Clear deal – I only want to buy three, not six like Jenny suggests to make them 7 cents a piece…just don't need that many….but, I only have one $2.00 off coupon because I used my other ones at CVS today to get the body wash deal….so, I printed off two from the printable that Jenny had linked to the Clean and Clear products – —they are both $2.00 off but it says Clearasil, not Clean and Clear – are they the same thing now?????????? Dumb question – sorry in advancee!!!!!!

      • sww

no, they are different brands. i think the clearasil link got included by accident:) HTH!

        • Coupongal18

Thanks! This does help! I didn't want to try to use a coupon that wasn't for the right product!! I want to keep a good thing going :)

      • SavySaver

At my Rite Aid none of the Clean and Clear products were for $4.99. The closest was a moisturizer for $5.89 and there were only 2 on the shelf. I did purchase several face cleansers since my daughters use them. I was disappointed that I didn't get them on a better deal. Ended up paying $7.49 for 1 and $3.75 for the second one.

    • Rachel

I went in this morning and got 4 Easter cards at 99cents each and 2 packs of Orbit Tropical Splash gum. I used the $3.00/3 american greetings cards and the BOGO Orbit coupon and the $.25 Orbit RA coupon. My total including tax came to $.79. There was also a RA coupon hanging out in the card area for a “Free card with any 3-card purchase”. You can't use it with the $3/3 because they are both RA coupons but you can save it for later! :-)

    • Doris

I tried to print out the $5 cetaphil coupon. When I clicked to print, it said I already used the coupon the alloted number of times BUT I havent used it at all. It did that for Scott tissue a while back. Does anyone know how to fix this so I can get the coupons I want and have never printed like it says i have. Thanks

      • Donna

When it says “you” have already printed it, it doesn't actually mean YOU! The manufacturers set up a limit on the number of times it will print for anyone on the internet (say 10,000) and once it hits that limit, that is the message that pops up. So, like I said, it doesn't mean you specifically but that the coupon has reached it's print limit. Sometimes they'll “reset” the coupons, and Jenny and other coupon blogs will usually point this out – that means everyone can print it again so if you missed out on it, it may still come back again.

Very confusing when you're starting out! Hope that helps! :)

        • Doris

Thank you Donna. It seems I must be missing out on lots of coupons because everyone one lately says this message. Thanks for explaining.

          • Donna

You're welcome! I know a lot of coupons come out at the beginning of the month (a lot are released randomly through the month too, of course, but a BULK of new coupons come out at the beginning of each month). So, this close to the end of the month they do start disappearing.

I used to wait till I found a list of shopping items and do the printables then, but I've learned to print them out as soon as they're released now if it's something I know I can really use. Sometimes you do waste coupons this way, but if you don't print them, you could end up not being able to when you really need it.

Also, there are great clipping services that some of us use – couponsbydede, thecouponclippers, etc. Sometimes the printables are just versions of ones that were released in newspapers (and not everyone may get them in their version of the newspaper). The clipping services are FAST and very inexpensive, so that might be an option for you too.

            I know it's a bummer! Hang in there! :)

        • I'm so glad I saw this! I've hit this roadblock a few times and wondered why, knowing that I hadn't ever printed that particular coupon.

      • Actually, I went to print the coupon for Tangled bluray this morning and it told me that. I know for a fact I haven't printed THAT before…I thought it was weird, so I went back and started it again and it printed fine that time. Not sure why it did that. I do agree though that sometimes it means the manufacturer's limit has been reached.

    • Donna

Another great trip to RA – they've defnintely taken over as my go-to drugstore of choice!

Got: 1 Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick, 1 Revlon Tweezers, 1 Revlon Nail Clipper (all 40% off)…2 Maybelline pressed powder compacts, 2 Maybelline Eyeshadow Quads (all B1G1 50% off).

Total BEFORE sales & coupons: $42.33
Total AFTER sales but before coupons: $29.03

used: $3/15 from RA survey, 2 x $2/1 Revlon beauty tools, $1 off Revlon cosmetic, $20 +UP (from Winter Rewards – they expired today so I had to use them quick!)

      Total AFTER sales & coupons: $1.03 + tax….savings of 97.57%

GOT BACK: $9 +UP to use another day and another survey on my receipt (to hopefully get another $3 off $15 coupon)

      I love RA! :)

    • JAGDISH.PATEL

rite aid deal for reading glasses , this week if you buy foster grant spare pair $9.99,ring up at $ 4.99 with wellness card as per advertising in circular ,add small item like candy $0.50cents ,then give $ 5.00 off foster grant reading glass video coupon ,makes your glasses free

      • JLW

I don't see the $5 off Foster Grant on the rite aid site, Was this a previous month or how did you get it.
        Thanks

        • JAGDISH.PATEL

this was a march month video couon,if you have you can use it

      • Jlaleonard

        Sound Great!

    • TiredMom

Went to Rite-Aid to purchase the Clean and Clear products. Nothing was close to the $4.99 (disappointing). Did purchase several Carefree Liners and got my $2 UPS.

      • Donna

A lot of items are slightly higher priced at my local RA compared to the lists that Jenny posts here (often by $1-2 per item). Makes doing my planning a little trickier, but most the time it still works out in the end.

        • Nichols_again

all the items are higher at my RA…it never pans out altough I still get good deals.

      • Nas&Bears mom

Go to CVS they have their Clean& Clear body wash on sale for $2.99 and then I used (2) BOGOF and (2) $2 off coupons and got 4 for $1.98!

        • Marina C

My CVS was out of the clean & clear body wash so I took the ad to Walmart and had it priced matched. I bought 4 bottles, used 2 bogo coupons and 2 -1.00 off coupons. Getting 4 bottles for 1.98. The cashier was terrible though and we had to call the supervisor over 3 times because every coupon she looked at she immediately said “We can't take that”.

    • Did no one notice that the Gum (Vitality) was in the SS 3/06 insert for BOGOF? I had 6 coupons, so I got 12 packs of the Vitality for FREE! My cashier was flabbergasted. LOL

      • KA

is the trident vitality BOGO in the store? I have those coupons but didnt see it in my ad.

        • Sue Mckellar

I didn’t see it in mine either. But if you go to riteaid.com and pull up the circular online for your area, it shows it on the last page at the top left corner. My flyer has beer and wine across the top of the last page. I’ve got the coupons pulled and will have to see what I find when I get there tomorrow.

        • courtney s

they are, though mine didnt have a sticker up i asked them to check and they are

    • Beth

Can you use a bonus coupon (from watching the video's) with a store coupon and a mfg. coupon?

      • I did…I used the Lysol coupon (store) off of the Neutra Air, plus a manu and then I had bought 15 dollars worth of the cleaning products, so I used the 2 off 10 spring cleaning coupon (store).

I also did it on the Revlon, but I didn't have a store coupon for those, just manu and the 2 off 10.

    • Kristin

I got 4 Aveeno baby body washes and 2 lotions today (and a 20 oz coke – I was thirsty!) all for 2.60 OOP and got $10 UP rewards! Awesome – my baby has to use Aveeno because of her sensitive skin – best deal ever. :)

      • Krizlee827

Can you tell me which coupons you used?

      • Leticiag30

        what q did u use?

      • I would really like to know which coupons too. Please!

    • Sbigham3

Does anyone know if Rite Aid keeps track of your totals for +ups during the week? I went today and the clerk wouldn't take my $2/1 beauty tool qs because the buffer didn't total $2 (thoroughly checked my qs against the totals on the receipt!). I'd like to go to another RA to get the 2 beauty tools and earn my $4 +ups.

      • courtney s

they use not to but i noticed it was keeping track on the bottom of my reciept today

      • Lori

My totals were “documented” last week too. I had messed up and bought only $14.56 instead of $15.00. (Little aggravated when I left!) But very happy when I went back in to find that I got the $5.00 Up rewards from that previous transaction. YAHOO!!
Hope it was not a fluke!

    • KA

is the trident vitality BOGO in the store? I have those coupons but didnt see it in my ad.

    • Angsox1

I noticed at my store here in Greenville SC that they had $3 off coupons on their Gain detergent boxes. That would make each box $2.99 each and less if you add a manufacturer coupon!

    • Birgit Gilbert

can somebody please tell me if I can combine the coupons I printed from watching the videos with manufacturer coupons? The coupons I printed say rite aid but they also say manufacturers coupons so I am not sure about it, thank you!

      • Daffydill4

yes you can combine those. if there is an additional coupon in the rite aid sales paper, you can use that too. so you can possibly use 3 coupons on one item.

        • Birgit Gilbert

          Thank you

    • Couponing Rocks!

Had a great trip to Rite Aid. My store in Ooltewah has turned into a “value store” which is suppose to be lower prices, but the ads with UP's aren't usually as good. However, the Garnier Fructis shampoo was only $3.79 instead of $4.29 B1G1 50% off.

I bought 3 shampoos & 3 conditioners. Plus they had a bonus of 33% more free. Used a 3 off 15 coupon from doing a survey & 6 $1.00 off coupons. Total OOP was $9.34 and then I got a $5.00 UP for spending $15.00….makes it $4.34 for 6 including tax!

    • Leticiag30

When you all post about a great deal would you please explain how did u use your coupons. That would be really nice. Thanks.

    • tina

i havent seen this posted any where maybe im over looking it is 2.99 a good price on the bic hybrid razor is there any coupons out right now for it?

    • robin

Had a bad experience at Rite Aid today. I bought the Stayfree that was on sale and was going to use $1 off coupon that was in Sunday's paper. I wanted to use a coupon for each pack that I bought but the assistant manager told me “Oh, no, we can only accept one coupon per transaction. You'll have to do separate transactions to be able to use your coupons.” I got so nervous that I let them ring me up separate not realizing at the moment I wouldn't get my +Up unless I bought two packs at a time. I'm still new at this thing and sometimes it makes me nervous and it doesn't help when people that work at Rite Aid don't know the policy.

      • Sdavisva

I'm so sorry you had a bad experience – I've had my fair share as well. One thing to consider is that you can return your items and re-buy them. My experience is that you will get reimbursed the full price of the item, so even though you won't get your coupons back you still get the money off. Then you can buy them all at one time and get the UPs you are supposed to. It does get easier!

        • robin

thanks for the encouragement. I'm still new at doing this. I guess I just don't want to get on the “bad” side of the cashiers at Rite Aid and that's why I didn't protest.

    • ChrissyPunkin

      Hot deal on diapers:
1 box Huggies diapers (60 or more) at $19.99
      -$3/15 survey coupon
-$3 Huggies diapers (60 or more) coupon
      =$13.99
The boxes generally have about three times as many diapers as the smaller bags. I also have the 20% discount which saved me another $4, so I only paid $9.99 for 60 size 6 diapers. Yay!

I used my $3 off Huggies box diapers and saved my $3 off any Huggies diapers for another time. I'm hoping for some more great deals.

      • sue3

Supposedly RA has a video value coupon for Huggies, according to Jenny and according to the sign on the shelf, but I don't see it on the RA site! Did you look into this?

    • pharmSCgirl

Looking at this weeks deals, they didn't seem all that great. However, when looking closer, I got a lot of stuff at a really great price. Here's what all I got and the coupons used:

      1 Almay Eye Shadow at $1.87 (Reg. $7.49) – $2 MQ
      1 Almay Mascara at $4.49 (Reg. $7.49) – $2 MQ
      2 Revlon Eye Shadows at $2.99 (Reg. $4.99) – (2) $1 MQ – $2/$10 VV
1 Revlon Nail Shape and Buffer at $1.95 (Reg. $3.25) – $2 MQ
      1 Revlon Nail Groomer at $2.99 (Reg. $4.99) – $2 MQ
      4 Orbit Gums at $1.29 (B1G1) – (2) B1G1 MQ – (4) $0.25 VV
      3 Wonderful Pistachios at $2.50 – (3) $1 MQ
      2 Alavert 12 Ct at $5.49 (Clearance Shelf) – (2) $1 MQ – (2) $5 SQ
      4 Air Wick Freshmatic Kits at $4.99 (Reg. $9.99) – (4) $4 MQ – (1) $1 VV – $2/$10 VV
      3 Lysol Neutra Air Fabric Mist at $2.50 (Reg. $3.99) – (3) $1 MQ – (2) $1 VV
      2 Tums at $4 (Reg. $5.49) – (2) $1 MQ – (2) $1 VV
      1 Oxy 90 Ct Cleansing Pads at $3.59 (Reg. $5.99) – $1.50 MQ
1 Omron Auto Blood Pressure Machine at $29.99 (Reg. $49.99) – $10 MQ
1 Garnier Fructise Herbashine Hair Color at $8.49 – $2 MQ
1 Garnier Fructise Spray Gel at $4.49 – $1 MQ
      2 Garnier Fructise Mouses at $2.24 – (2) $1 MQ
      2 Cadbury Creme Eggs at $0.69 – $0.50/2 VV
2 Reese Peanut Butter Eggs at $0.69 – $0.50/2 VV

I also used (2) $1 off any nonprescription purchase and $33.00 in +UP Rewards.
I payed out of pocket ~ $20 ( I could have payed less if I had broken the transaction up, but since I work at Rite Aid, I didn't have time to before we closed.)
      I got back $32 in +UP Rewards

      • Maryj

I noticed in your post you listed using multiple video value coupons for the same product. Is that allowable in all stores? I had tried that before but the lady I went to didn't want to take both even though I was buying two of the items. I hadn't seen anyone else mention doing that either, so I started to feel kind of bad for even attempting it. But, as you work for Rite Aid, if that is okay under corporate policy, I might just go back to doing it.

    • couponmama

Has anyone got the Tangled/Nexxus deal yet? The ad says “excludes trial size”- I can't tell if that's for the 20% off, or the movie deal. The cheapest regular size Nexxus was 5.99. Just wondering if anyone had tried it, and if the trial size worked to get the $10 UP reward. Thanks…

      • GA Girl

I tried to get the Tangled deal and was told by the clerk that all the Rite Aids in the Chattanooga area are now Value Rite and they do not honor that sale price nor give the $10 RR. I was unaware of the change and just wasted a 20 minute trip. Guess it's back to Walgreens and CVS for me.

      • Guest

That means the 20% discount and the video deal excludes the trial sizes altogether.

      • JLW

I did. Be glad that you can get a regular size product for $5.99. Mine was out so I had to buy one for $9.99. Still a great deal to get Nexxus and a video for about the same cost of a video after the $10 UP.
The ad specifically says excludes trial size so I didn't try it.
Remember to save your receipt and buy 2 Success Rice somewhere and saves receipts and can submit for a $5 rebate.
I thought these combined deals was the best offer to get the Tangled movie.
        Enjoy!

ATTENTION PRATTVILLE AL SHOPPERS: I was just informed today that if our coupons beep when they scan them they will not manually override. They said they have had trouble with coupon fraud and that's their new policy. I foresee a lot of trouble with this as I already experienced today.

I was doing the revlon deal (plus a few other things). I got an assortment of 4 beauty tools and a lip gloss. I had 6 beauty tool coupons (2 from my desktop 2 from my laptop & 2 from my mom's house) so I picked out 4 of them and put them in my stack. The first 3 went through just fine but the fourth beeped. She sat it to the side while she scanned my other qs then picked it up & told me she couldn't take it and why (she's probably the least helpful or friendly cashier that works there). I said “ok, I have a couple others, try them.” They beeped too. I told her “I don't understand why the first 3 scanned and these won't” She didn't know and she didn't care. I looked at my pretax total and decided that with my entire purchase plus the ups I was getting back I was breaking even so I left it alone and swiped my card (but that $2 keeps nagging at me).

I don't know about everyone else but I regularly have legitimate coupons that perfectly match their intended items to beep for unknown reasons–even store coupons that they have stuck to their own products. I'm quite nervous about shopping there now. The thought of dragging my 4 rowdy children through the store for an hour (to do thirty minutes worth of shopping) only to have them tell me half my stuff isn't going to ring up properly and they won't fix it despite it being their computer error is just nauseating.

      • ChrissyPunkin

Oh my goodness, I had almost the exact experience in Montgomery on Monday. I bought four Revlon beauty tools and the fourth coupon beeped. I didn't have any others. The cashier is very helpful and in the past she would just key it in for me. This time, she just set it aside and said it didn't match. I asked her if she could key it in because I had bought the correct item, and she said, “Sorry, the computer says doesn't match item (or something like that).” I did the same as you and went ahead with it because it was still a great deal, but that $2 bugged me, too, lol.

Do you have four children at home all day, every day? Wow! I have five kids, but I only go to Rite Aid if I only have the baby. My little boys can't keep their hands off of those die-cast cars in the display at the front. Sometimes, I'll go at night after everyone is in bed. :)

        • Maryj

I just moved to Prattville from Montgomery, so I'm still trying to figure out which Rite Aid I should go to. Do you mind me asking which store in Montgomery you were at when that happend? If the store close to my work is better with coupons than the one in Prattville, then I will probably just keep shopping there. I normally go to the one on Atlanta Highway and Perry Hill Rd.

          • ChrissyPunkin

That's the one I go to. I have the best luck there with my coupons, and the cashiers know me so they know I use coupons legitimately.

          • mrsmadayar

If you can conveniently go to a Montgomery location I would recommend it b/c they are going to have more items in stock and some that aren't even carried in P'ville. I actually live a mile down the road from the one in Millbrook but rarely go there b/c it's soooo tiny they never have anything I want. The P'ville location is bigger than the Millbrook but you will not find very much there in the food department.

        • mrsmadayar

Wow, that's weird. I wonder if a lot of people around here had that problem.

Yes I do have my 4 kids all day everyday. We homeschool, so if I go somewhere while my husband is at work I have to take everybody with me. As often as possible I do my shopping on Sunday so he can keep them, but it doesn't always work out. The up side though is my kids know more about couponing than most adults, and they're very good at spotting blinkies & booklets in the store for me.

Is there a new corporate policy that limits the # of coupons per transaction?? I saw someone below was only allowed 1 per transaction and today I was limited to 4 per transaction (not including store coupons and UPs, those didn't count). It was news to me and I only found out when I was about to check out. I've been shopping at Rite Aid for a while and I was able to easily break it into 3 transactions on the fly :) But wow…was it ever annoying..for me AND the cashier!! My question is..what difference does it make whether I use 4 coupons in 3 transactions or 12 coupons in 1 transaction?

      • tina

i hope not. that would be ridiculous for many, many reasons. i was started to really like rite aid and shopped there more and more but i can deal with the hassle this sounds like it might turn into. i do not shop at walgreens because of frustrating coupon policies.

      • robin

Were you by chance at the Verona, Va Rite Aid?

        • 3monkeysmom

          Nope…Pinson, AL :)

          • robin

oh ok whew! Call corporate and a district manager will get in touch with you. That's what I did. Hopefully that will resolve things. we'll see if that works for us here

      • Guest

That would be a manufacturer issue. The companies are not paying stores back if more than 4 like coupons are accepted in one transaction. So to keep the sales in the stores and to continue to get good bargains, following the manufacturer rules so that these stores can continue to do so isn't really their fault. Be Glad we are still able to get these bargains. As for stores that are only allowing you to use one would probably be more of a store/district specific on limiting because they can't get enough product in from the manufacturer.

        • 3monkeysmom

I know the P&G coupons usually limit to 4 like coupons per transaction (which I adhere to) but I've never read that on any other coupon. And the restriction was four coupons period, whether they were the same manufacturer or not. When I asked if this was a rule for just that store or for all stores, the cashier said all stores should be doing this.
Definitely not blaming the store or the cashier (who was super nice). It was just a little annoying to find it out at the register when I thought I had everything figured out :) I usually prefer to do one big transaction and usually at Rite Aid, I'm buying a ton of stuff and have a ton of coupons. So to split my usual order up will take some creativity :)

          • Guest

Yeah that has been the tough situation now days….What I've been telling most people to do is take a couple of the shopping baskets with your cart so you can separate your transactions as you shop and throw your coupons in the basket with the items so you already have them ready to go. Yeah a lot of coupons don't state the 4 limit rule, however a lot of them are only showing purchase of 1. Manufacturer's have labeled it “Group Cut” Coupons and are not reimbursing the stores like they should…Yeah it's stupid because you're just gonna buy it another transaction so who cares but that's just the way they are doing it. So hopefully everyone out there are reading our posts and will see that before going in and having to redo their strategies before going in. Some stores will still allow you to use more than the limited like coupons but that's just what happens.

            • 3monkeysmom

Good idea with the baskets :)
“Group Cut” coupons…lol. Do they have a CSI lab to determine if the coupons were cut with the same pair of scissors? Sheesh.

            • kristi

OMG … CSI lab ..too funny !! Thanks for the laugh :)

          • Paige_Aminehdestin

The “limit 4” has been on a few other coupons, but it's not a widely spread rule right now. As for the new policy, it's not supposed to be 4 coupons per transaction, but 4 “LIKE” coupons per customer, as how it's phrased. The gang cut rule is because there have been stores allowing 50+ of the same coupons in one transaction, and the manufacturers are refusing them because they all have “similar cut marks”. I have a sneaking suspicion, that it may be more aimed at coupon cutters sites more so than the consumer, but you can't really come down on the cutters, but you can the person who is using the “gang cut” coupons. It's really not a new policy, it's just being reinforced across the board now because of the tremendous amount not being paid back. I think that's the entire explanation we've got in store. :-)

Had a good trip at Rite Aid today – my list:

      (2) Orbit Gums
      (2) AXE body washes
      (2) Dove hair care (shampoo and conditioner)
      (2) packs of Stayfree pads
      (3) Clean and Clear products

OOP – $9.31 – this is only because I only had 1 $2.00 off Clean and Clear – my other two coupons were only $1.00 off plus, nothing was under $5.49 on the Clean and Clear —

But, I got back $12.49 in UP+ so techniccally, they paid me $3 to take all of that!!!!

      Not too shabby!!!!

Does anyone know if the Aveeno product coupons can be used on Aveeno baby items?

    • Jane

I had a $3/15 this week, and here is what I got, all for free.

      3 AG greeting cards
      3 Aveeno 2.5 oz lotions
      2 Skittles/M&M eggs
      1 Skittles jellybeans
      1 Combos

Not a huge week, but you can't beat free!

I just tried to buy the Omron blood pressure monitor and the store clerk said that they have a new policy for all stores that they will not accept any coupons over $5 if you print them off the internet. He also stated that you can't use your 10% off coupon on any sale item. Needless to say I was very frustrated by the time I left the store. Any one else run into this problem?

      • Paige_Aminehdestin

The 10% shopping pass does tell you that you'll get the better of the 10% or the sale price. As for printables over $5, that's also true, except that it isn't new. It's been policy for about 3 years now. It's too high risk to accept IP coupons to begin with, so anything over $5 is considered very high risk. Sorry you didn't know all of this before hand though.

My Rite-Aid trip today. My cashiers are awesome at my local RA. I usually have the Store Manager running the register. Today, they asked me if I could help another lady figure out how to stack her coupons too so she could save the most. I have NEVER had a problem at RA. I've only been couponing for a few months.

Where is the “$2/10 on RA for Lysol Products” you used?

        • GAcoupongirlie

It is the $2/$10 purchase of Spring Cleaning products on the Rite Aid Ad Perks Videos. Once you watch all the cleaning videos, you can print this coupon and use it on the listed products – Lysol is one listed on it.

    • Lishasc

I am new to this. When you list the coupons to use, is that the ones you CAN use or do you use ALL of them or what. Im a liitle confused, sorry! :)

      • couponmama

It's just all possible coupons. You can usually use one manufacturer coupon & one store coupon per item, stacking them to save extra. Plus Rite Aid has two types of store Qs, video values Qs you can get for watching videos on their website, plus in-ad Qs in their weekly ads. In that case you can use one manufacturer Q & two Rite Aid Qs per item. Sounds confusing, but it gets easier! hth

Doe anyone know about the monthly Dial Products $5 up WYB $15 I read this somewhere and was wondering.

    • jb30520

ok so I went into RA this morning. I was going in there for the AirWick promo for get 5 back when spending 15. I had (2) $4 off coupons and they were 50% off. Picked up 2 Electrosol products and one rinse aid. I had $1.50 coupon off for 2 of the electrosol and $1.00 off rinse aid. I also had 1 $3 off $15 survey q. The cashier at first told me I couldn't use the $1.50 q w/ the survy. She said b/c the $1.50 q said do not doulbe she couldn't double the coupons. I said I believe that means don't double the face vaule of the coupon. She said will it doesn't have an exp. date, I said it does. Well needless to say she took my coupon. My RA had a promo that i didn't see in the ads anywhere, when you purchased $20 of John freda and other products you re'c $10 in up rewards back. I bought that, well it didn't print my $10 up rewards! I used a $2 off q for John fredda products, plus another $3 off $15 survey q, my total before coupons was over $23, plus i used the $5 up reward from previous transaction. So the cashier said call back at 2 and they would make it right. I hope they do b/c that was the only reason i bought that. All in all I ended up geting the the AirWick frshmatics for $2.49 a piece.

The $2 off $10 beauty purchase Rite Aid coupon says “not valid with other offers.” Does this mean I cannot use Manufacturer's coupons with this deal? Thanks!
