    • Michelle

Jenny, will you please print and look at the Prevacid coupon that you listed as a store coupon? It prints as a true manufacturer coupon with a barcode that begins with a 5. Can it really be stacked with the other manufacturer coupon?

      Thanks!

      • esturm1

It's a manufacturer coupon so can't be stacked.

        • Michelle

That's what I thought. That will change Jenny's scenarios above.

          Thanks!

        • nancyjoy

In her line up of coupons there is a store coupon in the ad this coming sunday. that is a store Q. then the printed on is only a manf. Those you can stack.
          Store+Manuf=Savings HTH

          • esturm1

There is no in-ad q for this week for Prevacid, and April's Video Value coupon is a manufacturer. However, when they load the new video value coupons for May, the Prevacid may be a true Rite Aid coupon. Either that, or RA made a big mistake by suggesting in their ad that you can use 2 manufacturer coupons on one item!

            • S_Carolina_Girl

All of the Video Values coupons say “Manufacturer Coupons”, but are really Rite-Aid coupons. If they start with an RC, they are a Rite-Aid coupon, and therefore a store coupon. This can be stacked with a manufacturer coupon.

            • esturm1

The Prevacid coupon is an exception–it actually has a barcode that starts with a “5”, not “RC” like most of the Video Value coupons. I suspect Rite Aid just messed up on this week's advertisement saying to use both.

      • Benjamin

If you look at the ad .pdf, the ad itself talks about a $4 off q from the paper combined with the $10 online q. So maybe?

        • Michelle

Yeah, I see that. That's really interesting. It appears that they are encouraging the use of two true manufacturer coupons on the same item. Hmmm.

      • cdhicks99

I tried it a couple of weeks ago and they would not let me stack those two coupons, because the printed on printed as a real MQ!

      • Ashley

I tried this last week w/ $6 q, not realizing it was mfr. The register beeped on the second one which was my “orginal” mfr. She looked at it, knew I got the product and pushed it through. I had no idea why it beeped, but when I found my q's to do it a 2nd time, I noticed it was a mfr after all. So it's definitely a cheat to try it and the register will beep. Too bad RA is confusing us throwing a mfr in there w/ the vv's.

      • me

I basically made the 1 hour round trip to get the prevacid I had all my coupons ready & when I went to check out the coupon would not go through due to it had the 5.I had multiple transactions as I shop for the whole family. The cashier put it through somehow as in thier ad when we both read it stated using a $4.oo manuf. & the $10.00 from the video.(I had a $10.00 manuf.) So with the $5 off it made it $.99.I kind of thought I got lucky as I have just been shopping there for the last 2 months & ALL the cashiers & managers are so nice.Yet the ad did state it as a instore so it was only right to take it off.So as my couponing experieces go I got lucky on this & the next place I go they will reject a coupon that is the right one.Good Luck Hope it works for you.

        • BamaGranna

I wasn't quite so lucky. My cashier refused several of the coupons that I tried to use tonight – including the $10 Rite-Aid coupon when paired with the $10 Manufacturer coupon. I also had a mfg coupon that had a CVS logo on it (I double-checked – it WAS a mfg coupon), but they wouldn't take it. Overall, I find Rite-Aid to be much less coupon-friendly than other stores in the area.

    • GAJulie

If there is a limit one rebate, how can you do this?:

      “**Deal Idea**
Buy: (3) Aveeno Lotions $3.49 ea
      Use:
      (3) -$1 off Aveeno coupons
      (3) -$2 off in ad coupons
      Total Due: $1.47
Get Back: $5 rebate, you make $3.50!
      ***************
(if you repeat and buy 9 total you will pay $4.41 and get back $10 rebate!)”

      • jacksonat25

Rite Aid has two seperate rebates for Aveeno products. SCR#1 is wyb (3) Aveeno, Johnson Clean & Clear products and SCR#76 wyb $30 in Aveeno. They are both $5 rebates and since they overlap you get both wyb $30 in Aveeno. HTH.

      • diane

I've gone to 2 different stores so far. I was able to get 3 at $3.49 at the first, then 2 at the second. Still 4 to go. It's going to be hard to find that many! I guess I could go with the next one up – I think 7.49.

        • This is my problem. Can't find any priced at $3.49 at my store.

    • Benjamin

The in-ad Aveenos are mfg qs. So, can they still be stacked?

      • Michelle

I think they are really store coupons (the bar code begins with RC), so they should be okay with a real manufacturer coupon. For some reason, Rite Aid likes to put “manufacturer coupon” at the top of their store coupons.

      • siasdavis

If you read the Rite Aid policy (posted in the “Getting Started” section of Southern Savers), the second guideline for multiple coupons says, “Only one manufacturer coupon is accepted for each product, unless coupled with another manufacturer coupon found in a Rite Aid circular.” So it's okay to have 2 mfc's, IF one is from a Rite Aid circular (I have found this to hold true, even when the number started w/ 5, not RC). Same with Video Values, I think…even if it's a mfc, they consider it a store coupon if it has the Rite Aid symbol on it. My Rite Aid has never given me a problem with pairing “Rite Aid manufacturer's coupons” with “real manufacturer's coupons.”

    • carolc23

Does stayfree=carefree somehow? the -$1 q in the feb bhg mag is for stayfree.

      • AshleyQ

Hi Carol, I believe Stayfree are their Maxi Pads and the Carefree are their Pantyliners, so I don't think they are =. If I am wrong maybe someone will come along at let us know. HTH, Ash

        • Ashley

One time I was at Rite Aid and stayfree peelies were on carefree and carefree peelies were on stayfree. I used them that way and it went through. I wouldn't normally even attempt to do something like that, but since they were on the product that way, I went for it.

    • Did anyone ever get their $50 of coupons from this? I didn't get mine. When I sign in I get different offers each week, but if you don't print them right away (or save them) they apparently change every so often, and it was only one page of them anyway, nowhere near $50. Any advice?

      • Dianne

$50 of coupons from the Wellness thing, is that what you meant? I am confused by this too. I got a card in the mail without even having to sign up, but when I try to log in, it tells me my user name or password is invalid. I would think that my info would be the same as for the SCR program. I have decided to call Monday to see about it!

        • Even with a card, I had to input my address and all that info to start my wellness account..

        • heather

I had the same problem last week. I got my card at the store and she told me to go home and register online too. When I tried it kept telling me invalid user name or password. (I thought the same thing about my SCR info). Also I used my new card in the store for 2 purchases and an prescription and got no points or coupons on receipt. I called and the rep had no clue why it wasn't working (very nice but didn't seem very knowledgeable about the program, think she was as confused as I was!!) Anyway she had to go in and put all my info in for me and then it was accepted. She also added my 3 receipts info. and told me I had 45 points now. But I still have not recvd any email with a 5 off 25 q or the additional 50.00 in coupons. I might just have to call back:)

          • Emilytwinmom

When I signed up my $5 off $25 coupon was in a message within the rite aid site – check the spot that says “my programs” and it should be in there!

          • cindersga

When I signed up it popped up a window with my coupon in it and also said to watch my email address for $50 more in coupons.

        • pharmSCgirl

Hi, I believe that you have to sign up online even though you have the card. Somewhere it will ask for the card number, but your account is separate from the SCR program. HTH

    • CPancake

Did anyone in the Atlanta area get the $5 off Finish Quantumatic coupon in the 4/11 SS insert? I don't see it listed as a variation, but it's not in my insert.

      • apoff

Whoops…I just asked the same question because your post didn't show up before I posted mine! Sorry to duplicate…I'm having the same problem and hoping to find that coupon! :)

      • Jenn

It's not listed as a variation on the AJC for that insert, but it IS listed on hotcouponworld's databse as that insert, which makes me think that only some markets got it. Neither an ebay search and a search at couponsthingsbydede turned up the 5/1, so we may just be out of luck on this one.

    • apoff

I'm wondering if the $5.00 off Finish Quantumatic coupon is a mistake. I have the coupon from that paper, and it's for .75 cents off…so that's a big difference, and the paper I used is usually a pretty good one for inserts. Does anyone know if this might be in a different insert/date? Thanks!

      • jess

I think it is. I haven't been able to go through all mine yet and find it. I know I have it somewhere.

      • Paytonr

My paper did not have a $5 off coupon either. I am glad I am not going crazy because I thought I might have trashed it.

    • Jenn

apologies if this is a frequently repeated question, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Do I need as many items as coupons at rite aid? And if so, what do you guys use as filler items?

      • Susan

        No, not like Walgreens..no fillers

        • Jenn

          thank you!

      • RebeccaFer

        Hey Jenn,

Check out the Getting Started Guides link at the top of the Southern Savers page. It has all the info you are looking for on each store Jenny has on her site. It's really helpful to refer to time and again. I've been doing this for a while and I've been known to check out some links there still. Good luck! :D

    • Brandie51

What zip code should we use for the kashi bars coupon? I can't seem to locate it?

I have trouble printing some coupons on my Windows 7 operating system. Get this: We're unable to support coupon printing on your system at this time. The Coupon Print Activator is supported on Windows Operating Systems 2000, ME, XP and Vista when used with Internet Explorer 6.x, 7.x and 8.x and Firefox 2.0 and 3.0 and on Mac OS X and above when used with Safari 2.x and 3.x or Firefox 2.x and 3.x browsers.

Coupon printing is not supported under Linux, Unix or Web TV platforms. Coupon printing is not yet supported under Windows Operating Systems using Firefox 3.5, Google Chrome or Safari 4 or for Mac OS X using Safari 4.
      ANY ADVISE???

      • Dianne

I'd like an answer to this, too. I can print all coupons except the Target coupons. I get that same message when I try to print theirs!

“The Coupon Print Activator is supported on Windows Operating Systems 2000, ME, XP and Vista when used with Internet Explorer 6.x, 7.x and 8.x”

      • amanda

Same problem here that stinks does anyone know a way around this besides using a different computer?

      • Emily

I think this is because the coupon activator does not support 64 bit operating system.

    • Mary

Sorry I'm just starting out with Rite Aid…is there anyway to print the in ad coupons from your site? Will the store accept them printed that way?

      • In-ad coupons are just that, in-ad coupons. You find them in the store circulars although they state “limit one per customer” I doubt they would take them printed.

    • Moorebuilder

I have never been in a Rite Aid before. Is the rebate system easy? It sure seems like they have great deals…

      • All you have to do is set up an account, and then go to their site and enter Store #, Register #, Transaction # and Date from your receipt.

    • Meme

Isn't there a Listerine Video Values coupon??

      • Mary

Yes there is a $1 off coupon

      • Jennifer

But the coupon is for 1 liter onlym, not for 500mL.

      • jess

yes there is, I used it last week.

    • Ashley

I don't see how you can use the In Ad Aveeno q 3 times in the first deal scenario at the top. I thought Ad q's were limit one per customer(transaction)

      • They actually state per customer and I called once and she said that means exactly what it says “per customer” and per transaction or they would say that.

So, even though it might go through she said that is technically misusing the coupon. Not that most people care about this.

        • Ashley

Right, that's why I was really surprised Jenny listed to do that in her scenario. She always seemed to be aware of this in the past so kind of confusing she would list how things were supposed to be used correctly in the past, but not this time.

      • Jennifer

I am wondering the same thing. And I just got back from Rite Aid, I couldn't find any of Aveeno products that is only $3.49. Does anyone find any Aveeno with $ 3.49 only?

        • Erin

Yup–it's the really small tubes of lotion. Maybe 2 ounces. Usually the prices tend to be higher in my stores, so I was surprised to find it.

          • Liz

My Rite-Aid said that any lotion under 4 oz is classified as Trial size in their system and the coupon wouldn't apply to it.

            • busynewmom

That stinks! I didn't have any problem purchasing the 2.5oz size today at my RA.

            • esturm1

Yeah, in my experience some of the employees at Rite Aid make up their own rules and tell customers whatever they want. I just used the coupons the other day on the 2 oz. ones no problem. Go to their trial section, if they have one in your Rite Aid, and show them the 1 oz. Aveeno bottle that is the true trial size.

        • Michele

It's the trial size and the coupons aren't good for those. I just got back from there as well.

          • esturm1

The trial size bottles are about 1 oz.; the 2 oz. ones are NOT trial size. At my Rite Aid, the 2 oz. ones were the $3.49 price, and yes, you can use the coupon legitimately on these.

        • Mindy

No luck for me either on the Aveeno or the Dove hair care. I was so bummed!! My RA charges an arm and a leg for stuff and the deals just weren't working out, and I am not new to couponing.

        • Kelley

The small hand lotion is $3.49

    • chackit

      RE Prevacid coupons

I went this am with the $10 VV coupon and the $10 coupon from the newspaper. It did originally ding and they had to get a mgr over but I just showed them the ad that said you could use two coupons and that mine was also a paper coupon but it was for a higher value. They put it through.

      • RebeccaFer

Yup, I was successful as well. I bought two boxes for $.99 each and the tax actually turned out to be a couple of pennies less then the total pretax! I made sure to go up to the cashier and explain what I was going to do first. She at first said I couldn't do that but then I showed her the ad too and she said it would be ok. The funny thing is, the coupons didn't even beep so I don't think it would have been a problem. I was surprised and thought it was going to be a lot more difficult. :D I LOVE Prevacid and haven't had heartburn since I've started taking it! LOVE IT! :D

    • 3monkeysmom

My ad isn't showing the Dove Hair care on sale for $3. I'm in B'ham. Maybe I'm overlooking? Anybody seen this in their ad?

      • 3monkeysmom

It also says the SCR is only for this week ( 4/25-5/01) :-(

      • motherof3

I asked this morning and it's not on sale here (Madison). It rang up $4.49.

    • Lisa

Can someone explain how the Renuzit deal works? B2G1 – buy 4 and also use 3 $1.00 Q's?
      RA's ad is B1G1. I don't understand how you can use 3 Q's?

      • Ashley

Yeah, I don't understand that either. Maybe it's a typo. I know you can use 2 $1 q's but I didn't think 3. Even better, use 2 B2G1's and that will make 6 for the price of 1. So confusing but,…

        Pay for 1st one
        2nd one free f/ RA
        3rd one free f/ B2G1
        4th one free f/ RA
        5th one free f/ B2G1
        6th one free f/ RA

And you could add 4 $1 q's if you had them, or just 2

They are $3.49 in Greenville, SC. I did this today w/ 2 Dove shamp/cond(2 $1.50 peelies), 4 Carefree pantiliners($1.99×2, $1.59×2)(2 B1G1 q's) and paid $2.89 and will get $3 SCR back for Dove.

        • Ashley

          Oh wait, I see what Jenny means now. You can use 3 $1 q's. 4 items = 4 q's.

    • Emilytwinmom

We just left Rite Aid, and although we did pick up the airwick freshmatic, they aren't free with the $4 off coupon – they are 50% off 12.99…

      • Ashley

        I got …

        1 Finish Quantamatic
        2 Air Wick Freshmatic Kits
        2 Kashi Cereals
        2 Renuzit Pearls
        for $.98!!!

I went to another store and returned and rebought my 2 Renuzit so that I could use my 2 B2G1 q's since the first store only had 2 and got…

        2 Dove
        6 Renuzit
        4 Carefree pantiliners
        for $2.89!! $3 SCR back

        • Ashley

Oh, and did another transaction for RA this week and got Olay Total Effects Moisturizer on clearance for $10.99, reg. $21.99 and a Face Wash using my B1G1 q… all for $4.99!!

        • Ashley

…. Was trying to say they ARE definitely free after $5 off 20!

      • Erin

Yeah, I would love to know where they are only $4 after 50 percent off. Later this week, I may try to work a deal to get another, since I wasted the ink printing the Q. Today, though, I got
        2 Aveeno
        2 Kellogg's cereal
        1 Stayfree
        1 Electrosol/Finish (on clearance 50% off)
        2 Reach toothbrushes
        for $2.78. Not too bad.

    • Meme

Does anyone know the price of the Ban deodorant? There's a $10 SCR when you buy 4, and they are on sale BOBO 50% this week!

      • elisa

At my rite aid they were not B1G1 50%, but the powder fresh solid was only $3.49, which is still a small money-maker after the $1 off q's. If it is B1G1 at your store, it would be an even better deal. BTW, it is only the regular roll on that is eligible for the rebate.

        • elisa

          Sorry, I meant B1G1 50%.

    • Meme

      Oops, I meant BOGO.

On a different note, does anyone else have problems using coupons at RA? It seems everytime I go there, the cashiers cop an attitude. I'm at the point where I'm seriously considering not going there anymore. I always have my coupons ready to go, and I try not to hold up the line.

      • eldurado

I don't have any problems at Rite Aid with any coupons know almost everyone in the store as waited on them for years at the Post Office. Rite Aid is in deep trouble with debt and could close many of their locations around the country. The cashier and management should be pleased that you patronize their store. Let them know!

Rite Aid has 5 locations in my small city of 50,000. There is another 100,000 + in the suburbs. They had picked up the 3 Eckert locations plus their own 2. Competition: 2 Independent, 6 Supermarket, 3 Walgreens, 1 CVS, and a clinic that dispenses just drugs. And a Super Walmart on its way!

I'm positive Rite Aid will close 2-3 of these stores. They should be fighting for their jobs!

    • Dave

what are the details on the ban deoderant scr?It says $10 wyb 4,but I can't find it in the circular. Is there some master list of scrs?

      • 3monkeysmom

Yes, there is a booklet at the store but you can also look it up on riteaid(dot)com.
It's under the May rebates :-)

Per the circular, the RA brand benedryl, zyrtec, and claritin is Bogo. There should be some wellness qs that will go with this and this shoul also count towards scr#552.

My Rite Aid has Loratadine (generic Claritin) BOGO this week!

The trial size bottles are about 1 oz.; the 2 oz. ones are NOT trial size. At my Rite Aid, the 2 oz. ones were the $3.49 price, and yes, you can use the coupon legitimately on these.

      • esturm1

Let me repost this in the correct spot!

    • Ashley

For -$5 SCR #1 wyb (3) Aveeno, Johnson Clean & Clear products, do you have to buy all 3 in the same purchase or can you space it out (so you can use the $2 off clean & clear coupons)???

      • Susan

        You can space them out.

    • Erin

I got an email about a $5 gift card WYB $30 in Pampers, so I went yesterday. They unfortunately didn't have any big packs, but they did have a $1.50 rebate sign, which I didn't remember seeing in the circular. Be sure to look for coupons at checkout, as they had a big stack of Pampers Dri-Max coupons ($1 or $1.50 off) that they let me use in addition to my Pampers coupons and my $5 off $25 coupon. All in all, not a bad deal!

    • Jo

Does anyone know the exact price of the Air Wick FreshMatic Ultra Starter ?

      • Susan

I THINK $14.99..or there is one for $12.99 at my store. Don't know which is which.

      • Ashley

        $12.99 at my store

    • tbeth

I was looking at the store coupon for $2 off of aveeno moisturizer. The coupon clearly states one per customer. One of the deals says that you should buy 3, use 3 coupons and then you end up with $5 SCR for Rite Aid. My question is can that be done on 3 seperate transactions and the total purchase is cumulative or have people been able to use more than one store coupon despite the limit printed on it.

      • Susan

You can split it up in different orders, and the rebate will still go through. But, it will work to use multiple coupons in on transactions–my store doesn't care, and it always goes through without a beep.

        • tbeth

THANK YOU!!! that helps me know how to get the best deals

          Terry

        • Suemh

Have you done this using your wellness card? I wonder if the real purpose of the card is to keep us from using multiple in ad and video coupons.

          • Susan

I used 3 Colgate in-ad coupons today in one transaction after scanning my wellness card, and everything worked perfectly. I also used 2 of the Foster Grant sunglasses video values coupons in one transaction with no problems. Don't think the wellness card is going to prevent coupons scanning.

            • Sue

Thanks for your response. Hope it works s well at my store

    • griffiki7

I think my rite-aid (KY) has different “sales”. Arm and Hammer Litter was $8.39 for 14lbs. The Finish Detergent was $6.49 for 20 gels and not BOGO:( The Kashi was BOGO but was $4.99/box…

      • Susan

Some cities have “short ads” where they don't have as many sale items each week. Sounds like that may be yours.

    • Stacey

I am not finding the aveeno printable coupon on that link (coupons.com or smartsource). Am I the only one having this problem?

    • Kelley

Was anyone able to use the BIORE coupon listed in the last scenario? The cash register would not accept my q for a free cleanser since the ad they're running is for the same thing.

      • Ashley

Take the RA coupon policy with you and try again. You might not even have to try again if you get a different cashier, but their policy specifically states that you can use B1G1 q on B1G1 sale.

    • Stacey

Totally bummed.. went into Rite Aid today with my coupons and list only to learn that my weekly circular/sales are totally different apparently than yours. I live in Enterprise, AL and I'm told Dothan is in the same district. So much for that.. don't suppose anyone knows of a website like this that covers southern Alabama Dothan/Ft Rucker area?

    • MomMe

I went sunday and purchased the aveeno deal, I got three 2.5 oz lotion bottles. I submitted my receipt and riteaid is not considering the lotion a part of rebate #1. Lotion is skin care right? It is showing up under rebate #76, which you need to buy $30 worth to get $5 rebate. Did this happen to anyone else?

      • esturm1

Just checked my account and I got the $5 SCR rebate #1 for purchasing 3 of the 2.5 oz bottles, same as what you purchased. Call and they'll fix it for you.

    • Sue

The Rite Aid website lists the K-y, Schick, Listerine, Dove Hair Care, Dove/Degree, Ban, and Axe as weekly SCR's.

    • Jennifer

I have a question about Rite aid allergy reward. Right now there is an allergy reward program (for Zyrtec and Benadryl), an allergy relief program (including some of Zyrtec and Benadryl products too) and SCR#2 ($4 rebate for centain Zyrtec products). If I buy Zyrtec liquid gels, 25ct, which rebate or reward am I qualified to get? Just one of them or all of them?

      • Susan

All of them–I did this back in March, and my $75 of products (before coupons, of course) gave me a $20 Allergy reward certificate and a $25 gift card for rebate #500. That month did not have the $4 rebate for Zyrtec, but your purchase will count for that, too.

        • Jennifer

Thank you so much Susan. But on the May rebate list, I found the rebate #2 is for Zyrtec. Anyway, I need to head to Rite Aid tomorrow!!!

          • Susan

If you purchase the Zyrtec this week, it will only count for the Allergy rewards program and rebate #500. Rebate #2 is only valid on products purchased 5/2-5/8/10.

    • me

Just a heads up as I went to riteaid for the 2nd time this week and the cashier told me that the new policy is going to be 1 $5 off $25 per person per day. I had prev. been doing 3 to 4 trans. at one time for the extended family.I have only been shopping at RA for 2 months as it is along trip but the deals are worth it & the cashiers are great @ the coupons. So I dont know if this will be all RA stores. As we all know it can be a chain store within 5 miles of each other & have different rules. I also had her tell me they just started last week the RA wellness cards which I wonder if they are similar to c.v.s cards to keep track.Has anybody else heard any of this?

      • Susan

Wellness cards are scanned at the register, and you can earn coupons and discounts when you reach certain levels. You can read all about it on Rite Aid's website and sign up there, too.

    • Suemh

I have a coupon for a free box of Kashi Cereal. I am hoping that this can be used with the BOGO for 2 free boxes.

      • esturm1

        It can!

    • Toni

      Total oop 2.93 plus tax.

    • Stacey

I signed up for Wellness the beginning of last week or the week before and never got the $50 in q's. I checked my email, the 'messages' link in my rite aid acct, and haven't recvd anything in the mail. Maybe i'll get something if I ever get a wellness card in the mail or something? For now, no extra q's for me =(

      • Susan

They are all posted as pdf's on slickdeals (dot) net. You just need to search “Rite Aid master list of printables.”

    • Suemh
