roku 3

Get the Roku 3 1080p Streaming Media Player (refurbished) for $70.15 + Free Shipping!  A brand new Roku 3 would be $99.  While this is a refurbished model it does come with a 90 warranty that should show if there are any issues.    To get the price drop on the Roku 3 deal, use code vco at checkout.  You need to pay with Visa for the code to work.

Not sure what a Roku is??  This is a magical little box that lets you play streaming content on your TV.  We don’t have cable, we just have one of these. With it we can watch Netflix, Amazon, Youtube, Hulu and over 1,000 other channels.  There are sports, weather and even news channels!!  There is no monthly cost with a Roku, just buy the boxYou will have to pay for any services like Netflix you want.

While some folks pay $50-$100 a month in cable… we pay $8 to netflix and are quite content with everything we have to watch.  We also actually have a refurbished Roku 3 that we got from a Groupon deal a year or so ago and it works great!

I have wondered about this for awhile now. I watch little tv, but what I do watch is history channel, Syfy, Chiller, HGTV and a few others. Can I get those channels on the Roku? Just confused over this thing.

We haven’t found a way to watch sports using the Roku. We have Amazon Prime for our reg TV watching, but we are looking for ideas to be able to watch football without having to reconnect to satellite services. Any suggestions out there?

Us too! Would love to hear how we could watch sports without cable or satellite!!!

Yes, but what do you pay for internet? I can’t find anything cheaper than $50/mo

    • Tammy

But you have to have a lot of internet data to stream video, correct?

I love my Roku! It has soooo many things to watch that are worthwhile – plus channels like Netflix you can pay for. My favorite channel is BYU-TV. It has some great content – American Ride (history), Studio C (comedy), Granite Flats (suspense/drama), Food Nanny, etc . Try it out!

i loved it WHEN it worked. I didn’t even use it that much, but in less than a year, it has broken and i’m out of luck since i didn’t buy the extended warranty. not worth me spending that much money and it not lasting that long. disappointed, however was very happy with it WHEN IT worked. Sorry to give a bad review, but just be aware of some problems sometimes….
